Previously on Evianna’s POV

‘Move back!’ I yelled and they listened. I looked around and saw ash on the floor and Leah was untying Gabriel.

I let my wings come out and even though it felt painful now I knew that if I had my wings out I could heal faster. I covered myself with my wings and they began glowing and becoming part of my skin. They became clothes and I was now wearing a white tube top, and a white skirt that looked like a white shredded pirate skirt. My cuts and side was glowing white as well and I felt them being healed.

When they were all head as was my neck I touched them just to be sure and sure enough they were all healed. I sighed and began to feel lightheaded. The ground was suddenly coming to meet my face real fast and I passed out. At least this monster is gone but the next one will be far worse.

Unknown POV

‘Father you can’t do this!’ I yelled and my dad passed me and readied the soldiers.

‘We have no choice, we must protect the balance.’ He said and I turned and walked away. I found a pound and found myself looking at my two beautiful daughters that were now together again. I feel bad what I had done to Evianna but there is nothing I can do now but watch them.

Kathalina and Evianna are the only ones who can stop this war between heaven and hell that is coming soon.

Chapter 26

What!? Why am I five again?!

Nico’s POV

I watched the monster turn to ash and I was let go by the shadow that was holding us all back. I went to Leah and she dropped the knife that was still in her hand. She turned her head towards me and her eyes were still bright red. She had black tattoos all over her body and she was breathing heavily.

‘bellum iam incipit,’ she said and I looked at her confused.

‘Jake, do you know what she’s saying?’ I asked sounding worried and he ran towards her.

‘Nunc bellum incipit,’ she said again and Jakes face paled.

‘inter quem?’ he asked and I felt totally out of it. I had no idea what they were saying.

‘De Caelo et Inferno,’ she replied and Jake looked like he was about to pass out. Her tattoos faded and her eyes turned back green. She wobbled and I quickly steadied her.

‘What did she say, and in what language?’ I asked and Jake looked at me.

‘She said the war is coming,’ he said and I scrunched up my eyebrows.

‘And you said?’ I asked and he sighed.

‘I asked between whom and she replied heaven and hell,’ he said and he saw my confused expression.

‘But my father controls both realms,’ I asked perplexed.

‘No, your father controls the Underworld and Elysium, the devil controls hell and God controls heaven.’ He said and I felt so confused.

‘Then why are there two places?’ I asked and Leah looked at us confused.

‘There are actually many places but those are the top two most known. Your father only controls the realms for demi-gods, huntresses, the gods and immortal beings and anyone who believes in the religion of the Greeks. Everyone else is out of your fathers hands.’ He said and I shook my head in disbelief.

‘How is that possible?’ I asked bewildered.

‘Have you ever been to a hospital and heard a ringing in your ears?’ he asked and now that I thought about it. There really wasn’t that much ringing in my ears as I thought there would be when someone dies.

‘When a demi-god dies you can feel the spirit leaving and you can see their trial but when a human dies, you feel nothing.’ He said and I could feel a headache coming on.

‘Leah! Can you help me down?!’ a guy tied up to a tree yelled. We walked to the tree and I looked at him. He had black hair and brown hair and there was nothing really amazing or anything that stood out.

‘Gabe, what are you doing here?’ she asked trying to untie the ropes while I tried to figure who this guy was and more importantly who he is to Leah.

‘Oh you know, getting kidnapped by my butler and being knocked out and next thing I know I’m tied up to a tree and she stopped trying to free him.

‘What’s your deal? I just wanted to know why you were kidnapped but I think this might be exactly what you need.’ She said coldly.

‘Leah, who is this guy?’ I asked and I looked at her face and she rolled her eyes.

‘My EX-boyfriend.’ She said emphasizing the ex.

‘Leah babe, you can’t still be mad at me?’ he asked and I glared at him.

‘I’m not your babe!’ she yelled before I could tell him off.

‘Oh and I suppose your with this Goth wanna be too, right?’ he said sarcastically and I wrapped my arm around her waist.

‘She is in fact with this “Goth wanna be”.’ I said and I could feel my eyes turning black or blacker than they already are.

‘Leah you can’t be serious?’ he said and I ground my teeth together looking up at the sky which was dark.

‘Of course I’m serious because unlike you, he doesn’t judge no matter what I do or who I choose to be.’ She said and gripped my arms tighter calming me down slightly.

‘Can you just get me down,’ he said huffing. I looked at him incredulously and lit a flame on the rope and he yelped in pain.

‘What the-’ he started and Leah cut him off.

‘He’s burning the ropes,’ she said and he yelled again in pain. I may or may have not intentionally had the flame close to his skin. The ropes fell to the ground and he rubbed his arm that I may have charred.

‘Move!’ I heard someone yell behind us. We turned around and Evianna had her wings out and I was thrown off by how clean and pure they looked despite the dirt and blood that was all around her body. Her wings covered her like a second skin and her wounds began to heal.

‘She wasn’t lying when she said she was an angel,’ Gabe said to himself and I rolled my eyes.

When Evianna was fully healed she was wearing the same thing Leah was wearing every time she transformed into an angel sort to speak. I noticed there were white tattoos over her body and her eyes were bright white. I looked at Leah to see what she thought of this and her eyes were glowing bright red again and black tattoos covered her body again. They stared right at each other and I looked at everyone else and they shared the same confused and scared expression as me.

‘Nunc bellum incipit inter caelum et infernum,’ Evianna and Leah said speaking simultaneously. There was a loud bang and the floor shook. Leah and Evianna remained in the same place and lightning tore through the sky and the ground shook again.

‘What was that?’ Lucy said and I looked at Jake who seemed to hyperventilating.

‘Oh man, oh man oh man,’ Jake mumbled and Lucy walked up to him and slapped him on the face.

‘Snap out of it!’ she yelled and Jake stood up showing more emotion than I’ve seen the kid have ever. He looked pissed.

‘Do you any idea what they said!’ he yelled and everything just stopped and Leah passed out and I caught her before she hit the floor. I looked at Evianna and Justin was in the same position as me.

‘No we don’t so why don’t you tell us what they said?’ Zack said and I looked back at Jake.

‘They said Now begins the war between heaven and hell,’ he said and went pale as if he just realized this again.

‘So that rumble was the beginning of a war?’ Zack asked and we heard a thump. We looked back at Jake and he was passed out on the floor. Nice.

‘So where exactly is this war taking place,’ I asked confused since I looked around and there were no screams and – wait. Where is everyone? How come we didn’t hear anything when we went into camp?

‘Our home,’ Lucy said and looked at Justin panicked.

‘What do we do, no one knows how to get back up there!’ she yelled and Justin waited till she was quiet.

‘We do have wings,’ he said and she went quiet.

‘It can’t be that easy,’ she said and looked up to the sky again.

‘It is, the reason we couldn’t go up before was because Leah didn’t have her wings yet and also the fact we don’t know where the portal is.’ Justin said looking at the sky.

‘We need to head back to the house. I’m sure we’ll be able to find out where the portal will open next,’ Justin said walking away. Zack sighed and picked up Jake throwing him over his shoulder and we all started following Justin.

We ended up in the main part of camp and we saw campers shooting arrows but they were frozen. We walked over to them and the arrows were still in the air.

‘How long do you think they’ve been like that?’ I asked Zack and he shrugged his shoulders.

‘I don’t know but judging by the leaves that have piled up on their feet and hair, I’d say about two days.’ He said and I nodded as we continued walking.

Leah’s  POV

When I opened my eyes all I could think about was cussing out all of the lights, lamps, and anything else the glows in a dark room. My head felt like someone was throwing hammers on my head nonstop. I clutched my head and crawled out of the bed I was in.

I fell on the floor and I nearly fainted in agony my poor head was put in. I crawled under the bed, and lucky for me it was clean. I heard the door open as I pulled myself into fetal position.

‘Leah?’ I heard Nico’s familiar voice ask.

‘Turn of the lights,’ I groaned clutching my head to stop it from bursting. I heard a click and the side bed sheet lifted up revealing Nico’s concerned face.

‘What’s wrong?’ he asked.

‘Head hurts,’ I croaked and he slowly pulled me out from under the bed into his arms. He put his cool hand to my forehead and my head ache started to slowly go away. I leaned into chest and sighed in content.

‘Can I put on the light now?’ he asked and I nearly growled.

‘No,’ I said rudely just thinking of the lights can do to my head.

‘Sorry, the lights bother my head,’ I said looking at my hand.

‘Nico!’ I heard Justin yell. Nico sighed and got up. I’ll be back soon,’ he said without another word and I frowned. I got up and turned on the lamp. The light didn’t hurt my head as much as last time but it still hurt a little bit.

I opened the door and walked around the house. It was eerily quiet and I opened doors that led to bedrooms, closets and bathrooms. I opened the last door and ended up in a staircase leading upwards. I went up the winding stair case and ended up in a place that looked like a Planetarium.

I looked at the sky and I saw people fighting. I looked away real quick and back and it was gone. I looked up again and there were what appeared to be angels and demon fighting. I stared at it confused and I felt as if everything was getting bigger and my clothes started feeling really big.

I looked at my hands and they were tiny. My shirt reached my knees and I tried to move but my pants were in the way. The only thing that fit was my underwear, thank goodness for that. I walked down the stairs and finally reached the hallway. I ran down the hallway and collided into a body.

‘Kat!’ Evianna yelled and I looked at her and she looked like she was 5 or 6 years old. What the heck is going on?!

‘Evianna?’ I asked. She had long blonde hair that went to her waist and she was also wearing an oversized shirt.

‘What happened to us? Why are we little again?’ I asked and got up.

‘I don’t know! I was looking at the stars and it looked like there was a war going on and the next thing I know I’m little again!’ she said throwing her arms up.

‘Do you know how to get down stair?’ I asked her and she shook her head yes. She grabbed my hand and led me down a maze of hallways till we ended up in the library. Only thing was, we couldn’t reach the door handle.

We pounded our small fists on the door until Zack opened it. His eyes went wide as saucers when he saw us.

‘Who are you two?’ he asked us. Unbelievable! He didn’t even recognize us!

‘You nub! It’s us, Evianna and Kat- Leah!’ Evianna yelled at him kicking him in the shin. Well it seems like our personalities stayed the same.

‘Ow!’ he yelled holding his shin glaring at Evianna. We pushed past him and everyone stared at us in shock.

‘Can someone tell us why we’re seven again?’ I asked and Jake stared at us for a long time.

‘Did you girls look at the sky?’ he asked and we nodded our heads.

‘What did you see?’ he asked.

‘We saw people fighting. They looked like demons and angels fighting in a war.’ I said and Jake stayed with a blank emotionless face.

‘Lucy can you go get them some clothes that will fit them?’ he asked Lucy and she nodded and left the room.

‘I told you all to make sure they don’t look at the sky! This is exactly the reason why!’ he yelled and Justin and Nico.

‘I went to look for her but she was gone!’ they both yelled at the same time.

‘Why did we grow younger when we looked at the sky?’ Evianna asked before I could.

‘Because the affect of the war, that you both knew nothing about, changed you when you see what’s happening in your home.’ He said and I scrunched up my eyebrows.

‘That doesn’t even make sense!’ I yelled and Lucy came back.

‘Well, I guess it was bound to happen considering this is the only way you can see where the portal will open next.’ He said and Lucy gave us each a dress.

‘But why as a seven year old?’ I asked.

‘Actually your five, and it’s because you both were pushed into the portal at this age and the only way you can find the portal is of the same age as the time you were pushed.’ He said.

‘So when will we be able to go back to our original age?’ I asked and he sighed.

‘On the day you go back to our realm, on the day you both fell to earth, which is tomorrow. Now go and get dressed.’ He said shooing us out the room. He closed the door and Evianna and I walked down the hall to a room and got changed.

When we were done I stomped into the library and I started punching Lucy. She yelped when my small fists punched her side and stomachache.

‘What did I do?!’ she yelled and I stared at her in disbelief.

‘What did you do?!’ I yelled incredulously.

‘Explain to me why the dresses you gave us to wear are Lolita?!’ I yelled and she stared at me with a blank expression.

‘Why are you so mad? They suit your style and you use to wear this when you were little.’ She said.

‘I’m 16 years old! Why do I need to be dressed up as a gothic anime character?’ I yelled again and she smiled.

‘Well your body is five years old so that’s really the only clothes I had taken for you from your closet back from our realm. So it’s either this or an over sized shirt that can fall off at any given moment.’ She said grinning at me.

I glared at her hoping she would turn to stone, not that I  don’t like the red dress I’m wearing with a black lacing it’s just, it feels weird wearing this when you’re going to be 17 soon. I looked at the door and Evianna was wearing the same thing as me but instead of red it was neon blue and white laces instead of black.

‘Anyway how are we going to figure out where the portals next opening is?’ I asked and Jake got up.

‘You girls have to be in your angel forms and look at the sky and you should be able to see something like a map.’ He said shrugging while I fought the urge to kick him in the shin.

‘When do we go outside?’ I asked ready to go back to my 16 year old body.

‘In about an hour at midnight, so until then go do whatever.’ He said getting up and walking out of the library.

‘Leah?’ I heard Nico ask and I turned around to see an amused expression on his face and instantly my cheeks flamed.

‘I look dumb right,’ I grumbled looking down avoiding his eyes. He grabbed my chin and made me look at his eyes.

‘No, I think you look cute,’ he said and I swatted his hands away.

‘Anyway,’ he said and suddenly I felt myself being lifted up off the floor.

‘We should probably get you something to eat,’ he said holding me like I was a child. Well technically I am in child form.

‘I can walk by myself, I’m not a child!’ I yelled and he grinned.

‘I know, but if you walk you’ll be slow because of your short legs.’ He said and started walking out the room. We ended up in the kitchen a minute later with me sitting on the kitchen counter and him rummaging through the fridge.

‘What do you want to eat?’ he asked.

‘Count Chocula,’ I said without even thinking. He stopped looking in the fridge to look at me while raising his eyebrow.

‘Are you sure you’re not a child?’ he said chuckling and I glared at him.

‘Just get me my cereal.’ I mumbled not enjoying myself, as a child again, at all. I watched him get out a bowl and got my cereal ready. He put it on the table and I got down from the counter and sat down. He sat down across from me and gave me my spoon.

‘Are you gonna eat?’ I asked not taking a bite of my cereal.

‘I already ate,’ he said shrugging his shoulders. We stared at each other for what seemed like hours until he broke my stare.

‘Aren’t you gonna eat?’ he asked and I sighed.

‘I can’t eat if you’re watching me. You have to be eating too or you need to leave so I can eat.’ I said not picking up my spoon. He sighed exasperatedly before getting up and fixing him a bowl of Count Chocula.

‘Happy?’ he asked sarcastically.

‘Start eating,’ I said and he began eating and so did I. When we finished he took both our bowls to the sink and cleaned it.

‘Hey, finish up here and get ready were about to go outside.’ Jake said and I felt sick. This is it.

‘Leah, let’s go,’ Nico said putting away the bowls. He picked me up again and walked out the door. When we got outside everyone was waiting and had their weapons and gear.

Nico put me down on the ground next to Evianna and we looked at each other. She nodded her head and everyone took a step back. We looked up back at the sky and saw demons and angels fighting. We stared at the sky and it felt like it was getting brighter even though it was the middle of the night. There was a huge boom sound and I felt the ground shake. I looked at the sky and there was a white vortex in the sky.

‘Well, looks like our ride’s here,’ Jake said and His wings appeared.

‘Umm, how are we going to go with you?’ Nico asked and Jake looked puzzled.

‘Huh, I hadn’t thought about that.’ He said and looked back at the sky.

‘We need to go now, the portal is getting smaller,’ Lucy said grabbing Zack’s arm.

‘Justin, fly Nico up. Jake and I will take Zack.’ She said and Jake came to help her. I felt my wings appear and Evianna grab my hand.

‘No matter what happens remember, I never meant you any harm in the past.’ She said and I smiled at her pulling her into a hug.

‘We’ll get through this,’ I said and we grabbed hand and flew into the portal. Demogorgon be prepared, I will not let you get away for making my sister a slave to you.
