Visitor Part 2
Friday
3rd POV
"Who are you?"
Peter quickly pulled his mask back on, but he didn't turn around. The voice didn't sound like anyone he knew, but Peter wasn't going to turn around for anything just yet. So he stayed staring at the wall, frozen in place.
"Allow me to repeat myself. Who are you?"
The voice behind him changed quickly to a voice that stood in front of him. A green... something flashed, and now a tall, dark-haired Norse god stood before him. Peter guessed they must've teleported or something.
Peter's eyes widened as the god examined him.
"You have the suit of a spider, yet you seem like a child. Are you an ally of Stark's?" Loki asked. Peter brought up the courage to open his mouth.
"I- yeah, yeah, I am. BUT THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT! Uhm okay, you're Loki, right? Thor's brother? god of mischief?"
"Y-yes..." Loki said carefully, not wanting to scare the young one. Peter finally took off his mask to reveal himself to the Norse god.
"Wow! That is literally so cool! Oh my gosh, I studied you a few years ago in school! You were always my favorite! I mean, Thor's awesome too, but you've always stood out to me. And like your powers are so cool and your cape is so cool! I've always wanted a cape, but I haven't found the right material for one yet. And like, people would always say the meanest stuff about you and how you 'attacked' New York City, but I don't believe any of that. I was like around 11 years old, so I remember it, but I've done my research. Do you like Legos?" Loki was caught off guard at the boy's words. No one had ever been so trusting of him except for his brother and late mother. Loki decided that he could trust him in return for his kindness.
"Erm...what are Legos?" Peter's mouth fell open.
"You- you don't know, of course you don't. Nice going, Peter."
"I am Loki."
"Sorry, I was just talking to myself. Umm... okay. Let me get dressed and I can introduce you to the utter AWESOMENESS that is Legos!" Loki nodded and turned around to give the child some privacy.
"Okay we can go now." Loki turned around to see the boy dressed in Midgardian fashion.
"Wait! Uh... I need you to promise me something." Loki nodded. "You see, no one around here knows about the suit, not even Mr. Stark, and I can't have them finding out because I don't want them to get hurt. It would just cause a lot of problems, you know?" Peter fidgeted.
"I see. However, you do realize that you're hiding from the most obnoxious and nosiest mortals on Midgard, correct?" Loki questioned.
"I- um... I do, but this secret is for the good of everyone. If they found out, I would probably be in serious trouble and it would just make things so much more complicated than they already are."
"I understand that it is not my place to say, but perhaps facing those problems could eventually lead to fixing them. What do you think?" Loki suggested.
"I guess you're right, but for now, this is the only way."
"Alright, I will respect your decision. Now, tell me about these... Legos." Loki smiled.
"Yeah! Okay, come with me. I always keep a spare set in my backpack!" Peter grabbed his arm and ran to the living room.
Peter dug through his backpack in search of his Lego set. Loki just stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do.
"Hey, Kid whatcha looking for?" Tony called from the hallway, walking towards where Peter was.
"My Lego set!"
"What for-" Tony stopped dead in his tracks.
"Found it!" Peter held the Star Wars Carbon-Freezing Chamber up as if he were in the Lion King.
"Peter... stay back."
"What?" Peter turned around and saw Loki. "Oh!"
Peter then remembered the Battle of New York. He had heard and read a lot about Iron Man's big fall from space. He now understood why Clint wasn't there.
"Oh..." Tony and Loki were staring each other down, looking like they would attack at any given moment. Peter immediately stood between them, waving his arms around.
"Mr Stark, he's good! It's okay! I was going to show him my Legos, see? It's okay, he won't hurt anyone." It was at that moment that Pepper and Thor decided to walk in to see what the commotion was all about. They both immediately ran to the side of their loved ones.
"Tony... calm down. He won't hurt anyone." She comforted him. Tony was still tense, nevertheless he leaned into her embrace.
"Brother, do not ruin your chances of being on good terms with these people." he said with his hand on his brother's shoulder.
Peter looked like a lost little kid still standing there in between his mentor and new Norse god friend. He realized that Tony's PTSD had kicked in.
"I assure you that my brother means no harm. He has changed his ways for the better." Thor said. He had been getting better at keeping his voice down for Peter's sensitive hearing. He had scared him six times too many.
Tony took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for freaking out, Peter. I trust you and your good judgement," he smiled. Peter smiled right back at him.
"Now, how about those Legos?" Tony asked. Peter's eyes lit up and he grabbed the box to show him and Loki.
After a while, the three finally finished building.
"I wish I had Legos when I was a child. I would have preferred this quiet, complicated game over all of the fighting games my brother and I played where he would always prevail." Peter chuckled.
"So Kid, does May buy you a lot of Lego sets? Or do you buy them yourself?"
"Oh, uhh my uncle used to buy me a Lego set every birthday."
"Oh..." Tony understood that Peter's uncle was a tough subject for him. "Here, why don't we clean up, and we can see if Bucky is done with dinner. Then, we can test out the new suit." Peter looked up with a slight smile.
>_<
In the big testing room, Tony is going over the safety protocol with Peter as Peter mentally prepares himself for the testing session of the new Iron Man suit.
"Okay, FRIDAY will do most of the work for you, all you have to do is guide her."
Tony placed the nanotech bracelet on Peter's wrist and stepped back a ways away.
"Try it out."
The suit slowly formed itself on Peter's body, and he was in awe. The suit was stiffer than his normal spidey spandex. He definitely felt like an iron man. He tried moving, but it was quite difficult. Step by step, he shuffled all the way to Tony. Tony grabbed his forearms so he wouldn't fall over.
"Ready to fly?" Peter nodded with determination. They had already gone over how to do this, so Peter knew what to do.
Peter took off without hesitation. He felt just as if he were in his own suit, with the exception of the material of course. He felt a little too comfortable flying, he got a little carried away.
He landed on a ledge up high, and backflipped off the side and reached up to shoot a web, but when nothing came out, he started to freefall.
The bigger testing room was a large place. It had a higher ceiling for flying mechanisms and it was longer for arrow testing. It was deep in the ground in the basement so nothing could fly out of the window and injure someone outside. The same goes for every testing room. Peter had flown higher than the height he's falling from, but that was in his Spider-Man suit. He was still getting used to this one.
"Peter, use the blasters!" Tony shouted, but baffled as to why he wasn't freaking out.
He remembered what to do, and flew to the ground, landing perfectly safe. The helmet opened to reveal a gleeful Peter.
"That..." Peter giggled. "That was fun." Tony playfully rolled his eyes.
"You're crazy, Kid."
A/N I am so sorry that updates haven't been as frequent! School has been taking up all my time, it's rare that I get time to take a breather.
