I sighed as I put down the Daily Prophet. Everywhere I look, the headlines said, 'Disappearances, Muggle Families Murdered, Death Eater Attacks, or Is Hogwarts Safe Anymore?' Even my parents who were muggles sensed that something was wrong. I threw myself on my bed and put my head in my hands.

"Lily! 5 o'clock tea's ready!" yelled my mother from downstairs.

"Coming mom!" I shouted back down to her.

I picked up the Daily Prophet and reread it one more time. I threw it in my trunk and shut it shut. There was no way my family was going to find out what was going on in the Wizarding World. I'm not that stupid.
