*john POV*

As soon as we got back to the dorm, Alex ran and got his laptop, working on an essay thats probably due in three weeks or something. He's always working. I shake my head, and sit on my bed, turning on Netflix. After some searching, I find Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It was a pretty good show, and it was really funny, so its perfect.

Alex was really focused in his typing, and his phone rang. At the sound, he jumped. Cute. He picked it up. He answered some questions with jus the simple "yes" or "no". Suddenly, he dropped the phone and collapsed. He was in a ball on the floor, shaking. I quickly ran over, and asked him what was wrong. He didnt answer.

*Alex POV*
I was in a trance, not even paying attention to what I was typing. My phone rang, and it scared me. I picked it up hurriedly, wanting to get back to my essay.
(Alex=bold phone person= this)
"Hello? Is this Alexander Hamilton?"
"Yes?"
"Earlier this week, your cousin Usnavi committed suicide. You were his emergency contact. I'm sorry for your loss. Goodbye."
She hung up. I dropped my phone and fell to the floor. This can't be happening, this isn't real. This didnt happen. I'm dreaming. WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP
I felt numb. He was the only family I had left.
