Captain Hook is rather charming and very intelligent. Even if he hasn't succeeded with stopping Peter and he's kind of a baby about it, of course, no one likes to lose.  You just can't oppose the fact that Captain Hook is a handsome man who has managed to accomplish many successes with just one hand and one hook. I'd say he deserves some applause for it. Rest in peace, Hans Conried.
