Alex POV 

So I got a job it is working at a diner in la push. It pay is ok and it's hours are quite long but it means I have a excuse to be home late.  I walk in the house round 9 o'clock and mom is passed out drunk on the couch. I feel empty and guilty. I am the reason she is like this. All of this is my fault I could not save papa. I throw a blanket over mama and go upstairs. 

I lay down and close my eyes and I dream about that awful night.

Dream

It was a warm summer night and my papa and he was singing me my song with my mother in the background smileing

Then a pale man with red eyes comes out of the forest and snaps his neck like that. Then the dream shifts into a memory.....

Me and my papa were out on a pond. Our pond we discovered it one day just out of the blue. And my papa gets a glazed look in his eye and just goes overboard and the pond was not deep about 4 1/2 feet and I knew he knew how to swim. He didn't get up and I thought he was playing a joke and waited for him to get up. But he didn't and I remember the last words he said to me....
