"I haven't seen any sign of Lee Youngyeon in these couple of months, Mr. Kim, the last spot she was seen was at a terminal in early 2020," Jungkook said as he spoke through the line, making me furrow my brows as I groaned,

"Great, now where did she go? Do you have anymore sources as to where she is right now?" I asked and Jungkook ckeared his throat.

"None. None at all sir. Would you like me to come back to KimHit and accompany you to the business gathering?" Jungkook asked.

"Sure, take your time. It won't start around 6 in the evening anyway," I sighed as I set down my phone.

Being CEO was not easy. After sorting out numerous deadlines and papers after dad's death, people have been flooding me with news saying I already broke up with my girlfriend and is rumoured to be cheating.

I sighed as I ruffled my hair, loosening my collar as I tried to work without ay interruptions. I grit my teeth.

In my mind, all I needed was comfort, a hug, and some alcohol. I spent sleepless nights trying to fight off these aching thoughts.

Knock knock!

"Come in," I chimed, and a figure walks in, wearing a brown coat, a black dress, and some heels.

She had her black hair cut into a short bob, and she smiles softly before bowing.

"Yes, what is it?" I asked and she sits down.

"Just came to tell you I've already settled down the cancelling of our engagement, please do fill these out yourself, and also... I'll see you the gathering," Sunyoo smiles as she sets down the paper.

I smile at her before taking the paper, studying it very closely.

"Just please....let's not release this publicly, I don't plan to ruin my reputation even more," I said as I set the papers down.

"Don't worry. It's for yours and mine. It's so we could both be free, and become friends," she smiled as she offered her hand, in which I enclosed with mine.

"Do... you have someone else in mind now?" I asked as I glanced at her.

"I think that's really not for you to know," she laughs slightly as she lets go of my hand, and she bows before walking towards the room and exiting it.

"Sir, are you ready for the gathering?" Jungkook asked as I fixed my $500,000 suit, and I turned to him before nodding, he smiles before stepping inside the driver's seat, and I follow at the backseat of the car.

"So.... how's your boyfriend?" I asked as I looked at him, and he rolls his eyes before turning a left.

"We're fine. You go sort out your relationship," Jungkook replies and I narrow my eyes.

"No wonder you never jack off in the office anymore, even Wheein and Jaebum seem different without that," I muttered and he tsked.

"I have a very beautiful boyfriend who nags and fulfills my everyday needs," he brags and I slump back before leaning against the window.

"Anywayyy,  I heard your brother's coming back here to Korea after going to America a few months ago?" Jungkook asked.

"Yeah, I heard he got some kind of business to attend to that he had to fly back to America," I sighed as he nods.

"He did say he would come back for the gathering, right? And he left right after your mom and dad's funeral?" Jungkook asked and I nodded.

"I just hope to see him again though," I sighed as he started parking in the private lot. And I could hear the music and some chattering too.

I got off the car along with Jungkook as he followed me, we walked towards the venue as we saw many other businessmen and women in their best attire, sipping some rich champagne as they chatted with each other.

I started to stand by the side, making sure I keep my eyes on for Namjoon or anyone that I would be in the mood talk to. I sip my champagne as Jungkook stands beside me, looking down on the floor as he looks at me.

"Seokjin!" A voice said and I turned my head towards the person walking towards me.

"Oh? Hello!" I greeted and she smiles as she sips her wine.

"I heard your brother is coming, where is he right now?" Sunyoo asked as she stood beside me.

"I guess he'll be coming soon," I smiled as we stood around, observing our environment as everyone started to fill in the venue.

"Seokjin hyung!" A voice called after a couple of minutes and we turned to the tall man who was wearing shades and a suit, accompanied by a familiar man who was wearing a suit too.

"Namjoon!" I smiled as we engfulfed ourselves in the hug, and we smiled as he also bowed a greeting at Sunyoo.

"Alright everyone! Today is the annual gathering for this year's top 20 successful CEOs of this year! I would like everyone to listen to what I have to say!" A young man said as he spoke through the microphone.

"Before we get a toast for a successful business, I would like to welcome a new guest that will be joining us!" He said as he spoke through the microphone.

"This person has topped the top 10 richest companies in Asia and has made it to top 20 of the world's greatest companies, it is also reported that this person is coming to Seoul to announce the biggest news and it will be said tonight! And is also said to be Korea's next pride and joy!" The man said.

"The person is known to be anonymous except for the fact that they are born in Korea. I would also like to give them a certificate of welcome and gratitude!" The man further said and he looked at the closed curtains behind the stage.

"And now.... I present to you....

"The next richest person in Korea, Lee Youngyeon, CEO of Yeonryu Corporation!"
