Bait for a dragon - Part 4 - Aemond x Reader
She made her way into the room, the scent of the copious amounts of old parchments and ancient tomes making her feel at home. Back at the Rock, most of her time would be spent in the library; studying the histories, the legends and stories of Westeros and Essos, it where she felt most comfortable. And as soon as she could get away from her brothers, after her arrival in the capital, she had made sure to find out where the library in the Keep was; a smile coming to her lips as she saw how much bigger it was than the one at home. (Y/n) believing that she might not mind having to be in Kings Landing, if she could just be left to her own devises and allowed to spend her days going through each and every dusty work that sat upon the rows of shelves.
Slowly she made her way into the dimly lit room. It was like another world in there; a world away from the chaos and noise of the party that she had just escaped. From the scheming and plotting of her brothers; and the roaming hands of the drunken king. A contented sigh leaving her lips as she pressed her fingers up against the spines of the books.
Jason had often said that it was unbecoming for a lady to spend so much time with her nose in a book. He thinking it funny to joke that an educated women was as unnecessary as a dog that could read. You not needing to know anything of the Iron Chronicles or The Chronicles of Longsister to lay on your back and open your legs; to give your lord husband, heirs. His amusement leaving him though, when (Y/n) had secretly purchased a little something, that she had managed to slip into his food, and kept him on the privy for days.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up, as the flicker of torch that she had brought into the room with her, illuminated the title of one book in particular; she only ever hearing of it until now, never believing that she would actually get to read it. The lady quickly using the torch to light a candle on a nearby table, before placing the fiery brand in one of the sconces. Her fingers hesitating for a moment, before she pulled out the book....... 'History of the Rhoynish Wars' the words engraved into the leather and highlighted in gold. She swiftly taking the book and her candle and making her way to sit in one of the old chairs.

Aemond had been watching her since she had assisted his brother back to the top table. The lady sitting with her brother for a while, until she had obviously grown bored; her tolerance for the twins, far more than his would be. Some young man who had come to ask her for a dance, the excuse she needed to get away from them. Aemond finding himself oddly happy when she had quickly excused herself from the dance; the lioness moving into the shadows, doing her best not to be seen by anyone.......but he had seen her; he had seen everything. And now, he had seen her leave. The prince knowing that he shouldn't care; that he shouldn't be curious about what she may be doing or where she would have gone; but he was. He quickly finishing his drink and getting to his feet.
"Aemond.........?"
"I have had enough, mother..........." Aemond replied, not even bothering to look over at Alicent.
"What is it, brother...........our company not good enough for you any longer........"
"Aegon......your company was never good enough for me.........." Aemond retorted. Saying nothing more, before leaving not only the table, but also the celebration.

Aemond looked around as the guards closed the large doors behind him. His eyes surveying the long dark corridor. Where could she have gone......he had only just been behind her. She only having left the hall a moment before he himself, also left. A small thin smile coming to his lips as he suddenly caught a glimpse of a moving light. The prince quickly following it, soon catching up to the lioness. Aemond hiding in the shadows, as they had continued on their way; he only stopping as she had finally arrived at the great library and made her way inside.
The library.......he seriously doubted that either of her brothers knew where it was. Though that said, he was sure that Aegon didn't. Yet here she was, after only a day in the Keep and she knew where it was and how to get there.
Up until that evening, Aemond hadn't really known that there was another lion at Casterly Rock; not that he normally concerned himself with the lives of the likes of Jason and Tyland Lannister. But when she had been presented, even he could not deny that she was beautiful; though he had to think that she had been dressed up in order to attract the attention of every man in the hall. The heavy gown, in Lannister gold and red, cut in a way to show her obvious assets, the swell of not only her breasts, but also her hips and buttocks. Aemond having to confess that it was most definitely having its desired effect; he not about to pretend that he had not felt a stirring in his loins. Yet it was when she had tripped his brother, he had come to see her as more than just another woman that would end up being one of Aegon's conquests. He had come to think that perhaps there was so much more to this lioness than might meet the eye, and he wanted to know what that might be. Aemond stepping out of the shadows and making his way to the door; placing his hand on the ancient wood, before quietly pushing his way into the library.
