Chapter Sixteen
Jonathan
I woke up really warm, well warmer then I have been for the past two weeks. I knew I was in my own room, in my own bed, but who with? Then a smile crept across my face as I opened my eyes. So, he fell asleep right here? Right up against me? On accident or purposely? I looked at my position and noticed I was right up against him and had my arms wrapped around his whole waist. I looked out the window and saw the moonlight. I tried my best getting up without waking Evan up. As I placed my feet on the floor I walked over to the room door and grabbed my hoodie and a pair of jeans. A huge whiff of Axe and maple syrup hit me.
I walked in to the bathroom and shut the door. "So, Mr. Fong's been wearing my signature hoodie?" I laughed as I started my shower. Before I hopped in I checked Evan one last time and finally started on this hellacious rotten blood smell.
Evan
I woke up cold, well colder then when I just fell asleep beside Jon. I turned around and didn't feel his presence. Then I heard the shower running. I let out a happy sigh and lay back. It was Saturday and hopefully just a Jon and Evan day.
Deli yawned and stretched and patted over to me. "So, was this your big plan? Force me to sleep with him?" He only replied with soft purrs. I laughed and continued petting him as I heard an awkward noise coming from the bathroom. The shower sounded a bit different, then I heard giggling. A maniac giggling. I laughed and knocked on the bathroom door. "Johnny! What are you doing in there?" I chuckled. The noise stopped and he replied, "playing with my element!" We both laughed. "Dude, that sounds wrong in so many different ways. Then a little childish idea hit me.
Jonathan
As I showered I noticed the water acting a little weird. The water. I was done playing with it though. I ignored it and kept showering. Then the water started splashing me. I thought I was the only one who could- Evan. "Water calm down." I pleaded. "Evan!" I yelled. The water went normal for a bit and then shot out really fast. "Ah! Evan knock it the fuck off!" I laughed. I turned off the water and got out with a towel around my waist.
As I dried off I heard dripping. I rolled my eyes and turned off the sink. Unfortunately I stepped into another trap. Water shot out from the spicket and got me all soaking wet. I wrapped a new towel around my waist and stomped out of the bathroom.
Evan
Jon came out soaking wet. His dark brown hair sagging right above his blue eyes, and his red mark. "Evan!" He scolded as I laughed. "Sorry! Don't you remember? You're not the only one who can control water." I snickered. He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. You made me come out here to yell at you, but here I am, not yelling but laughing." We both started laughing together. Our laughs mixing like magic.
As we were laughing, my mind finally clicked. Jon was covered, but by only a towel. My face struck red and my laughing went crazy. I tried playing it off by coughing. Jon gave me a weird look. He laughed even harder. "What the hell happened to your laugh?" He said between chuckles. He started walking back to the bathroom, still laughing, "That's was a great way of starting our Saturday together, Evan." He flashed a quick smile and got dressed, as I did the same, with a bright red face.
"So where do you wanna go to get breakfast?" Jon asked, throwing an arm around me as we walked down the street. "Starbucks! McDonalds! Hell, even Chick-fil-a!" He laughed and then stopped. "You pick breakfast, but we are as sure as hell getting Chipotle for lunch." I chuckled at his little excitement. "Let's just do Starbucks." We both said at the exact same time. We slowly looked at each other. "Wholey shit." We both said again, then we started laughing as we walked to Starbucks.
We sat down outside, to enjoy the life of our Goddess, the moon. I smiled and looked up at the moon. "The moon looks beautiful on your eyes." Jon said out of no where. I looked at him. He just sipped his frozen mocha and looked away. My smile grew. "Thanks, but it looks better on yours." Then I took a sip of my warm coffee, with vanilla creamer. He laughed. "Let me know if you run out of cream, I'll give you some." He said and quickly brought his drink to his lips. My face heated up. "Let me know if you get cold, I'll warm you up." He laughed. "Mine was better." He chuckled as I chuckled along. "I'm more romantic!" He laughed and stood up. "I'm gonna get us donuts or some shit. Okay?" He said. "Okay." I replied.
As he walked inside I quickly bit my wrist. When blood finally ran out, I dripped it into Jon's drink. I smirked as I wrapped my wrist with some napkins. I laughed as I saw the name he put on his cup. "Delirious." I said out loud. Mine said Evan with a little smiley face, thanks to Johnny boy. I rolled my eyes as Jon came out with a whole box. "Well shit." We laughed.
I gasped when I saw what was in the box. "Apple fritters!" I took one out and devoured it. "How'd you know I love them so much!" He only shrugged. "I got a feeling." He winked and took a sip of his coffee. After he took a sip he instantly put it down, looked at me, and picked it up again. As he chugged his eyes turned a scarlet. I sorta flinched back when he slammed the coffee cup down. He stood up and grabbed my hand. "Come on. We're leaving." He stated. "Jon? What's-" "Just listen to me Evan." I winced and stood up with him.
We walked down the sidewalk together, still holding hands. Two men were approaching us. I noticed we were still holding hands. Yes it was Canada and we had the right, but that doesn't mean they're weren't any more people with the opposite opinion. "Ey, fucking faggots." Yep, it just had to be them specifically. "Yo, could you not? They're kids around." The taller man said out of the two. "Yeah, obviously at," Jon checked his phone, "3:00 a.m." "Hey kid we don't want your stuck up answers. For a gay you're pretty mean." The shorter one said. "Oh, so now you're being fucking stereotypical?" Jon let go of my hand. I looked up at him, his eyes still a red. Shit, I think I gave him a little too much blood. "Calm down kid." The taller one said. He was just a bit taller than Jon. "Stop calling me kid!" Jon snapped.
He wiped the cover-makeup we'd use to cover our marks. "Wholey shit he's a full grown vampyre!" The shorter one shouted. It started raining, really hard, and Jon's hands turned to fists as he ran after the men. He was so fast he stopped them by going in front of them. "No! Don't!" I warned Jon. I didn't want to say his name, just in case he did do something. The men started sobbing as Jon raised his hands. Soothe him child. The same woman's voice whispered to me. I raised my hands. "Spirit! Calm my Johnny boy!" I smiled as I threw Spirit at Jon. He gasped and fell backwards. The men ran, as I ran for Jon before he fell onto the road.
He collapsed into my arms. He looked at me, his eyes a wonderful blue again. "Jon. Jon! It's alright." I said as I rubbed his forehead. "Evan, I'm... I'm sorry." "No Jon, it's alright. Shh." We sat together for a little bit. I felt Jon's heartbeat calm. "Evan?" "Yes." "Can you stay with me forever?" He asked in a rush. "Without you I wouldn't be able to be calm and center. But with you, I'm everything. We're everything." He looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back and grabbed his hand, "Of course Jon, forever and always." Mate or not, I'd still love you. I wanted to add, but yet again, I didn't have the nerves to.
As we sat there together my phone went off. Jon got up and helped me up as I picked up my phone. "Hello?" The caller ID did say Nogla, which is part of David's gamer tag. "Ey, ye seriously need to stop butt fucking and get to the counselling room immediately. We'll need Jon too." I gave Jon a worried glance. "Why what's up?" "It's about Willow and Nelson." "What about them?" "One of them is gonna be dead in the next 24 hours if you don't hurry your asses up."
