Evan

I walked past a beautiful statue of Nyx, naked, and holding a crescent moon and her hands above her. I slowed my walk to take a better look at her. It was very, very beautiful. I kept walking down the sidewalk from the school. The sidewalk was illuminated by gas lanterns so they weren't too bright and would hurt our vampyre eyes. As I walked down the sidewalk I was getting closer and closer to a small shed like looking building. As I reached the door to knock, it opened. 

Agnetha opened the door with a huge smile on her face. She was wearing a black dress with a necklace with a silver crescent hanging from the chain. "Evan! Welcome. We're just about to start. I should've told you to dress a bit nicer but I guess that's alright." She said as she pointed at my black jeans, red converse, and black Metallica "Ride the Lightning" shirt. She pushed me in the very dark building. Fledglings were everywhere eating and dancing. Agnetha was wearing a black dress, but I hadn't notice how short it was. She was laughing as she past some of the guys and grinded up against them. She stepped into the middle of the room. Everyone looked her direction as she started the ritual. 

"Welcome Dark Daughters and Sons! Today is our first ritual of this new and beautiful school year! Let's make it a good one!" She shouted in pure joy. She was surrounded by five candles. A green candle towards the north, a yellow candle in the east, a blue candle in the west, a red candle in the south, and a purple candle in the middle. She took out a lighter and started walking around to the blue candle. "Air! It fills us and breathes life into us! I call air to this circle!" As she said that I felt a huge breeze it felt so good I almost started giggling. Agnetha then moved clockwise to the red candle. "Fire! It warms us and succors us! Fire I call you to this circle!" As Agnetha said that I felt a very tingly feeling inside. I felt very warm and cozy. Agnetha moved clockwise again to a blue candle. "Water! It soothes us and washes us! I call water to this circle!" I heard the ocean and smelt the smell of washed laundry. Agnetha moved clockwise again, towards the south. "Earth! It sustains us! From it we are born, and to it we shall return. I call Earth to this circle." I felt like I was outside in a beautiful prairie land. Running through the grass in my bare feet. The smells of grasses and the wonderful nature. Then I did let a small giggle escape. 

The last candle in the middle was the purple one. "Spirit! It is our essence! I call spirit to this circle!" A huge rush of joy went through me. I gasped and then started laughing. I felt so good. I wanted to spin around and jump up and down. Everyone else was just staring at Agnetha while I was in the back with all the elements and enjoying the feeling. But then one by one Agnetha called each element from the circle. At the end she had a small speech. "Hopefully, this ritual also cleared our sadness from the loss of our dearly beloved Luke." Agnetha bowed her head and then shouted. "Merry meet! Merry part! And Merry meet again!" Everyone, including me, repeated her. 

Agnetha then grabbed a huge glass of what I think was wine. She brought it around to everyone to take a sip. Then they whispered "Blessed be." Agnetha then came around to me. I smelt the wine. It smelled different but I took a sip anyway. The wine hit my taste buds and it felt so electrifying. It was like someone added cinnamon to it. I wanted to chug it down, but Agnetha snatched it out of my hands. "Evan, calm down. First time with wine?" She giggled. "Actually yeah. Where'd you get that?" She looked at me and smirked. "Oh, just a normal wine store and then our little refrigerator for tonight." She winked. "Wait! What do you mean?" "Just look over there bud." She pointed towards a small table. It was a fledgling with their head down and little wires connected to their wrists. 

I almost threw up all over Agnetha's slutty outfit. I covered my mouth and ran out of the building. I ran and ran until I hit a wall. The east wall. I slid down and just sat on the cold ground. Before I could actually sit down I puked right beside myself. It was all red from blood, but not mine, some random fledgling's. I slid down for real this time and put my head in my hands. "God dammit... I just... drank someone's blood." A cold breeze went by and fallen leaves from trees moved around. "But the worst part is... I liked it." I sat there for at least fifteen minutes regretting going to that ritual. I actually wanted to fucking cry, but before I could there was a small "meow". 

I looked around but couldn't find a cat. I stood up and walked around, until I spotted a small figure walking on the top of the wall. I laughed and actually felt good when I did it. The cat looked like a dark owl. Like... "Night Owl!" I shouted to myself and the cat and laughed. I've noticed that lots of cat's pick their owners in the vampyre world. A lot of the professors had one too. The cat meowed again and looked down at me. It kept walking on the wall, very delirious of it's surroundings. That made me laugh. 

With some of the hockey I've played I've actually had to lift. Now, it was paying off. I ran backwards for a start, and then ran forwards. I jumped onto the wall and pushed my way up. I was now sitting on the wall with the cat. I made my way carefully over to the cat. It moved it's head and looked at me. It's eyes were a very bright yellow. "Hell, you do look like an owl." I carefully grabbed the cat and started petting it. The purring really soothed me and made me forget about the blood. 

I jumped off the wall with my new friend. "Hmm. What should I name you? Well, when I first saw you like five minutes ago, you really didn't know what was going on, but was meowing like crazy like he was excited for some reason. Hell, thats pretty much the exact definition of delirious." I laughed as the cat only meowed again. "How about Delirious?" The cat meowed and then purred again. I chuckled. "Alright. Del. Delirious. Delirium. Whata want?" The cat didn't answer. "How about Deli?" The cat meowed in agreement. I hope. 

"So Deli wanna meet our new roommate. I already have and he's pretty amazing so you'll-" Deli jumped out of my arms and started hissing. I jumped back behind him. I looked to see what he was hissing at. I noticed a person standing a few feet ahead of us. "Hello?" I said like a dumb chick in a horror movie. The person only hissed back. I strained to see who is was. Their eyes were a red and they were very pale. I looked closer and saw who it was. "Luke." I whispered. He hissed again and started running towards us. I let out a small yelp and picked up Deli, then ran like fuck.

I finished one last round of GMOD's hide and seek with Lui and David and shut off my computer. "Wait! Jon!" David shouted. "What?" I said trying to sound like myself. "Its alright. If ye need anything ye have us. And don't forget ye got Evan too. He's one of us man. Ye can talk to him, us, anyone ye know." I sighed. "Yes, I know. Thank you David." "Its alright man, we all know ye were the closest to Luke." David and Lui said their goodbyes, and got off. 

I looked at my clock. It was 6:00 in the morning. Then sun was about to rise. I had to get to bed. Hopefully Evan could get used to this new schedule as easy as I did. I sighed and jumped in bed. I sighed again. "Shit, I forgot to turn off the light." I got up and slouched my way over to the light switch. I turned it off and then shut the curtains. I then lay down in my comfy bed in my dark room. Alone. I wonder where Evan is. I hope he's alright. I shut my eyes with my last thoughts being about Evan. 

I heard the door open. "Shh. Be quiet he's sleeping. We'll have to surprise him before school." My heart warmed when I heard Evan's voice. I wonder who he was talking to. He put something on his bed and then tripped on something and yelled, "Fuck!" I hopped out of bed and turned on the light. 

Evan was on the ground holding his arm, and looking like he just ran five miles. "AH, shit! What happened?" I asked him, getting down beside him. "I tripped on something and cut my arm open by hitting the dresser on the way down." He said as he removed his hand from his arm. When he did the wonderful smell hit me. The smell of his blood was like maple syrup on chocolate chip waffles. I had to keep myself from licking it up and starting a fucking sex scene from Twilight or ending a really good friendship. I held my nose and ran to the small bathroom we had to find the bandage wrap. I found it and ran out to Evan. "Here!" I shouted and threw the wrap at him. He saw me and quickly wrapped it up. I threw my hoodie to him. He looked at me weird. "Put it on over so I don't smell it or see it." I said, sounding like Squidward from holding my nose and talking. I should've held my ears too, because of the sound of his blood running through his veins. 

He threw on the blue hoodie and stood up. "Sorry." I said. "I just really didn't wanna loose control of myself. I don't even know why I'd be attracted to your blood. Agh, I'm really sorry Evan." He looked at me. His face turning a different shade. "Its fine." He then walked over to his bed. "Uh, I sorta got us something. Well it picked me but, eh whatever." He said as he picked up a small cat with bright yellow eyes and fur that looked just like an owl's. I laughed and went over to pick it up. "What is it's name?" Evan then, started laughing. "Deli." I started laughing along. "Deli? What the hell? Is he gonna serve us meat or something?" "No, no, no." He said between laughs. "I got it from delirious. When I first found him he wasn't very aware of what was going on but he was just really excited about it and it reminded me of the word delirious." I then started laughing even harder. 

Evan punched me in the arm. "Why are you laughing?" "Because my gamer tag is H2O Delirious and now you've named a cat after me!" Evan's face went from mad to a bright pink. He rolled up the sleeves of my hoodie and flicked me off. "Ooo. Two times today." I said with Deli in my hands. I put the cat down and walked over to where Evan did a belly-flop on his bed. 

"Tired much?" I asked. Evan flipped over and looked at me. "Actually I seriously need to tell you something." He said as Deli jumped on him and curled into a ball. "You can tell me anything Evan." Evan, curled up in my hoodie and sat on the edge of his bed looking at me, his face turning pale. "Its about Luke..."
