Prologue

For some reason my story was unpublished? I honestly don't know why but meh. Thank you for whoever asked about it because I didn't realize it was even missing. Anyways here it is again!

Oh, you're actually reading this? My sob story of a life? How stupid and reckless I was of a life?

Well prepared to be bored, cause this isn't my pity party. This is the true story of the house that no one ever came out of. Ever. Nobody even dared to enter that house, except for my friend and I.

We were stupid, I will admit that. But even the dullest crayons in the pack should've known to stay away from that house. But we didn't, and I wished that we really would've listen to all of the warnings. Should've ran far away from that house and never look back.

However, this is not my pity party, so that is not important. The house we are talking about is one that has been here for centuries. We are even surprise it was standing, considering it's been here what feels like forever.

The house I speak of was built sometime in the 1600s. It was very classic, very old, but yet a beautiful house. The outside was painted egg shell white. It is a three story house, and has a small front porch. It was so beautiful, the richest guy in our town bought it.

We all thought it was pretty cool, living next to Joshua Burrings, the wealthiest man in our small town. To even think, a guy like him would buy such an old house like this was insane. But he bought it anyways, which was cool, or so we THOUGHT. Wealthy people have terrible secrets that the outside world doesn't know about too.

It all started when a 17 year old kid went missing. His name was Mark Fischbach. According to news articles, on the day Mark went missing, he was walking home from band practice. When he didn't show up by six thirty, his mother called the police and put in a missing child's report. A couple weeks later, they discontinued the search ruling that Mark was indeed dead and that was the end of that.

However, year after year after year went by, and even more kids went missing. The town was puzzled. Why we're so many kids going missing? Our small town use to be one of the best small quiet towns there was, until that wealthy man came alone. That's when the chaos started.

That's not how they caught him though.

One day, Joshua was out, trying to snatch up a kid in a public place in front of the boy's mother. The boy's mother was not having her child taken away from her. She was able to fight Joshua until the police arrived, arresting the wealthiest man in our town.

He was questioned about all of the other missing children in the area, considering he was trying to kidnap a little boy. Joshua wouldn't speak to the police. So after ten hours of trying to investigate him, they got a warrant to search the old mansion like building where he lived. After much searching they finally found the bodies of Mark and the other kids.

Joshua was sentence to life and prison and the house went back up for sale again. Though, it's a nice house, nobody wanted to buy it, which was really odd for me to see no one be living there. But now I know why.

And I wish I should've known that the centuries old house held secrets of its own as well.
