Epilogue.
Kellan.
"But I don't want to do homework, I want to go play with Jed and Troye." My eleven-year-old kids pout. "Bella, Valentine, Troye is busy right now, you can go play with him later, why don't you go to pops and see if he can play with you." The two nod and hurry down the hallway toward Raves's office.
"How is my little baby." Charles was holding baby Zurich, he was biologically Reggys as expected but one thing that still eluded me was why he loved Charles like all my other kids.
"Another tooth is coming out, he's extra snippy." I laugh as Charles coos the little boy, he's the feisty one, he took after Troye than any of my other children.
"So where is Reggy he's babysitting." I shrug having no idea. After asking about him he appears with the three-year-old triplets. "I'm already on it babe." Charles chuckles going upstairs.
"Dad!!" Troye yells from his own office, I walk down the hall toward it. "You called." He smiles and pulls me to him.
"So I wanted you to be the first to know, I decided to take over the council but Jed and pops are gonna help too, Papa said if I want he would help too and daddy said he would be there as backup to straighten out lords who don't take me seriously.
"Its a big decision and a lot of work, are you sure you can handle it." He nods vigorously. "Oh well then, I'm proud of you honey, now come on we have dinner to make." I close the door to his office and we make our way to the kitchen.
"Dad what do you say about visiting France again, it's wine tasting season in Florence, or we could visit Sicily, maybe even see the rumored loch ness monster in Scotland, what do you say?" I already knew there wasn't any room for saying no.
"Jed and his mom can come too if you want." He cheers. "Thank you, dad!! You're the best." I laugh at his childish tendencies.
"I know I'm the best, I raised you." We both laugh making dinner. "Are you planning to move in with Jed." He shakes his head no. "Why not?"
"As much as I want to, I don't think I can handle being away from you for over a month, the best I've lasted is three weeks and Val even lesser." I coo my oldest child for being so attached.
"Your fathers and I were talking about extending the house, I guess we could do it whilst we're on the vacation, create extra room for your brothers and a wing for the two of you, along with the rest of your siblings, the house is already mansion."
"That could work." Troye and I are startled by Raves's voice we throw flour at him and the kids. "Don't scare us like that." I hand him a cloth to wipe off the flour.
He cleans himself and the kids handing it back, afterward. "As I was saying before you made me look like a sad clown, the trip is perfect, and the house can be renovated that time, you'll move out when you're ready okay?" He nods to his father.
We continue cooking Raves occasionally picking pieces of meat or salad. "Papa, can you teach me how to ride a bicycle like Val." My daughter was competitive and I liked that, she needed to be tough to survive the real world, Conrad had already started giving the two self-defense and martial arts class.
A LeBlanc must always be able to defend themselves, always.
We sat at the dinner table, like always it's filled with chatter, but on some days it isn't like this, fights do happen we aren't perfect, tears are shed and we scream at each other but at the end of the day no matter how bad it was we talk and avoid going to sleep with an angry heart.
"So Troye is planning a trip for us, Jed and his mom are coming with us, and you two." I point to Reggy and Charles. "Will not embarrass Jed in any way, do you hear me, you'll behave." They nod.
"So when do we leave?" Val asks Troye. "Next week little brother." He replies ruffling his hair. After dinner, the table was cleared and the kids went off to do their homework I found myself sitting outside watching the stars a cup of warm milky tea in my hands.
I never thought after losing my parents I would be happy again, then I found Pierre who ruined me for all that is good in the world and left me to rot.
It was a trying time for me but I endured it, I got up again and faced the world better, knowing that life was never without failures, pain, or betrayal.
After all, I had experienced it all, I'm glad I never gave up. Charles sits beside me. " It's beautiful tonight."
"It is, I always want the moon to move away a bit most times so that I can just stare up at stars." He chuckles pulling ms closer.
"So what was my beautiful husband thinking about?"
"How much I've gone through and how grateful I am to have you in my life, all three of you, though it was a rocky start."
"Oh it was a bumpy ride, but I'm glad I never gave up on you, I'm glad you didn't do the same, thank you Kellan."
"For what?" Charles scoffs. "How can you not see how much you've done for us, this family, this life, none of it would've been here, if it weren't for you, it's all you and your love with the addition of your strength."
"I never see it that way, I guess it's never occurred to me that might be the case, but either way I'm just happy to be here with you."
"And so am I, so thank you and also know I will always love you, till time stands still, you're what I've always wanted and nothing can refute that, you're simply perfect in everything and in every way." The kiss we share was gently and filled with emotion.
We sat there watching the stars shoot past and the moon finally come into being. "So what now, Lord LeBlanc, you have a family, three loving husbands, and seven kids."
I simply smile and curl closer to his warmth. "I think it's time for me to live, I've done almost everything at such a young age, so I need to rest and actually live."
"I think I'm on board with that plan, and I'm sure the house of LeBlanc with all its members would agree too."
"I'm sure it would." Raves comes toward us with a blanket in hand, the kids and Jed trailing behind them. "You started without us." Reginald whines. Still so cute at 34.
I pat the place next to me and I lean on his shoulder after he sat down. I was content with my life though I know more trials will come for my house. I will be fine because I know I have my husbands and kids with me.
My house would never fall.
