Chapter 67
Chapter 67: The Final
Dark. Everything was dark. The injection that Jungkook gave you caused an effect on your whole body, specifically on your eyes. Your body was burning hot. Hell, you were a mess.
"your eyes, can you see?" Hoseok was getting worried. Police sirens were ringing behind him. Firefighters were shouting, putting out the fire. You both were lost and out of the direction.
You shake your head.
It worried Hoseok, you were not talking, and he didn't even know what had happened back there. Someone had called the police and 911. The medic had taken Jimin away, and Hoseok was offered to follow Jimin in the ambulance. Still, Hoseok had refused and had put trust in the doctor because you and Seokjin were inside.
He was still waiting for you and Seokjin before the firefighters had brought in a body, he ran, and his body ran cold, seeing you limp in their hold. He had asked around with the firefighters, and they had informed him. You were brought in in the front door left from all the fire. They didn't know who had put you there, but you were hanging on.
When Hoseok asked for another body or anyone the firefighters could find, they said no one was with you.
You were alone, and it made Hoseok panic for a moment. The whole place was burning down quickly. Yoongi's method of bringing "everyone down" together was more effective.
But there isn't anything that Hoseok could do now. He had lost his friends and the house. The people who he grew accustomed to despite suspecting them. He had thought that when his parents had begged him to forget about Taehyung and live like an ordinary person, he could do it. He could live to know that he was someone who had lost a brother.
He didn't like funerals. Hoseok didn't want the funeral his parents had held for his sister Dawon. He didn't like to know that someone he had known his entire life was being lower into the ground.
Hoseok also didn't like how his parents had to arrange Taehyung's funeral after Taehyung's disappearance. He had hoped his parents would cry for his lost son, but instead.
Hoseok also didn't like the funeral Namjoon had held for someone. He didn't like how everyone was quiet, no cries, no remorse, no one was even sorry for what had happened. No one had suspected his brother's death as attempted murder.
They all just went their way. After knowing Taehyung's unfortunate death, Namjoon was 'nice' enough to hold a funeral, and everything went back to normal.
He hated him for that.
But now, everything seems like it was slowing down, especially after everything had happened. Hoseok hopes he doesn't have to experience it yet again. He was somehow happy.
Sure, his plan when arriving in the house was to get Taehyung out and then fled with his brother away from Korea. But after things happening, escaping Korea with you was one of the most outrageous but the best thing he had done.
After that night, you were rushed into the hospital, you had a claim you couldn't see, and it had worried Hoseok because it must have something to do with Jungkook. Everything was a mess. You were having a panic attack because Jungkook and Seokjin were nowhere to be seen.
You were somehow brought in by someone, who up until now, the police had no explanation too. Someone had saved you, Seokjin, who you were looking for was missing, not a single trace, hell not even a dead body.
Hoseok did not know whether the other boys had lived. He could only reassure Jimin had lived. It wasn't too late. You both had offered to live with Jimin.
After being discharged, Jimin was persistent in living independently, Hence why he had chosen to live abroad away from Korea.
After being thrown over with constant anxiety of someone behind you, you had developed a sudden fear with a presence behind you.
After 4 months of being with Hoseok, you were still in a state of denial, knowing that Seokjin was dead. It didn't seem like it was right. It was affecting your mental health, so you had to get out.
Hoseok agreed to help you out since you were still recovering from a state of temporary blindness as of right now. Whatever Jungkook had done to you had affected your ability to see. Since you weren't so used to not seeing, you had developed a sudden fear behind your back, as your anxiety goes up when someone goes behind your back.
Hoseok then had tried to help you with the money he manages to steal in before escaping with you. The police were questioning both of you and Jimin, but no evidence could be pointed out with the fire. No one from the outside world knew, except the ones in the house.
You three decided that not telling the police was the best thing to do.
Hence you three were allowed to move to a new country, So you had to choose Bali, Indonesia.
It was peaceful for a while. Hoseok was a big help too.
"Do you need anything?" Hoseok sat beside you holding your hand. He was reassuring you he was the one there, "I will be gone working again, do you want to join in today? The dancers will be performing tonight."
You nod your head, "That'd be nice. We could stop by the beach, could we?"
"sure we can, but there's going to be people, I –"
"It's okay, you would be beside me, wouldn't you?" you asked. Hoseok had picked a lovely house with the view of Jimbaran beach. Not that you could see how the place looks like, but the atmosphere was calming.
"Hoseok –" holding his hand –" do you think they'll be back?"
"No, I don't think so," Hoseok sigh," they've lost too much. He failed too much to gain anything. Wherever he is, I hope he doesn't come back."
"and Seokjin?" you whisper, " I – I still don't think he's –"
"I know, I – I don't want to think about it too, but we need to focus on us right now. I will help you. It was Seokjin's last wish."
You could only nod your head. Hoseok subtly walks to you, pulling you closer as he pecks your forehead. It somehow calms you.
"Everything will be okay, alright?" Hoseok reassures you," it's going to be hard, but if we keep dwelling on the past, we can't move on."
Hoseok took the first step forward," So let's move on."
Hoseok was wrong. Moving on is the bad thing to do; moving on means forgetting the past. He was wrong.
You were supposed to learn.
This is just the start.
A knock in the door resonates throughout the silent room.
The End
