Chapter 36
Chapter 36: Hoseok's alibi
"I'm not going to dance if you don't change your bandage Hoseok, it's going to hurt your knuckle, and I can't even guarantee the skin can heal without having a scar," you mutter.
Hoseok could only glare at you, "I didn't ask to be helpful, and you should be thankful I let you opened the wound."
"Then you let me help!" you shouted.
"Why? I like being in pain," he glared as he wrapped around the used bandage, the bloody bandage again and I grab his knuckles a squeeze them hard enough to make him wince, and he looks at me.
"If you're not going to let me change your bandages we're not getting out of here." You had threatened him in the hope that he will let you off and agreed to change his bandage, but he still refuses, "no, one likes to be in pain, those who like pain are the people who needed the most."
He was quiet, too quiet. The bubbly kid who likes to dance and laugh, and act like the world was in his hands, now frowning and silent. Contrasting to his personality, he was like a puppet with a mask.
Hoseok had taken upon himself to stand up as you look at him, he walks to Jimin's cupboard as he took an ointment and begins to walk to you. he steps forward. He looks away as he hands the cream to your way.
"Jimin will be back from Jungkook's room, and he'll not be happy if he knows we're here, "he grabs your hands gently, and you stand up as both of you begins to walk.
"But your hands –"
"I have the ointment if you're so persistence you can do it in the dance room," you looked at him and nod.
The halls were silent, and no peep can be heard he was walking forward as your feet follow his step, you couldn't help to look at his bruised knuckles and his blistering feet, and you don't get it.
How can someone so comfortable hold so much pain, the larger his smile was, the more significant the pain he had to carry? It didn't make sense of how he has to bring such burden; did he do something that he thinks why he had to bear that kind of pain.
We were walking back, and he hadn't said anything, he was thinking, and my anxieties are going haywire after knowing that the killer could just jump out of know where and we were walking in a slow phase.
"Hoseok, I know I'm asking too much." You hear him scoff as he looks at you, he moved his bruising knuckle a bit and blood started to gush around the bleeding flesh, the better you treat it soon, the better.
"Then, don't ask anything more if you think your already a burden." He snaps.
"I would if my anxiety isn't going haywire and I don't feel safe and – oWH!" you hit a sudden wall, more like someone, you were ready to shout you were dragged by someone.
"Hoseok what –"he gently grabs you and slaps his hands to your mouth, and you jerk back into his body, and he quickly hides behind the wall. You were about to shout again when you hear the door creak opened.
"I swear they were in the room, they were supposed to be dancing and –"
"That is not the problem here, we need them in the same room to explain to both of them. They need to understand, we can't bring him into the trial," a voice had said.
"Just let them, if you try to explain they won't follow you, and then you'll never get it, besides you should be focusing on the real thing," the other one said.
"I'm working on it," the other one hiss.
"Good I hope you do know I trust you a lot Seokjin, I hope you understand why I'm doing this."
"Of course, I do Namjoon. You just have to trust me; I won't break your trust."
"I know you won't."
Your eyes widen, and your heart was thumping hard. You can't trust anyone; you really can't trust anyone.
No. you can't trust them, the only sane person you can trust was Jimin as for right now.
You look at Hoseok who was still looking ahead, and his eyes hardened at the thought of what happened, it didn't seem like Hoseok trust Seokjin either, or that he did from the first time. Does he know more than you do?
After a whole minute of silence, Hoseok looks back a little on the walls, and he sighs as he lets go.
He looks at you and could only sigh.
"It's not safe out here, they are looking for you," he suddenly said, and you looked back at him, eyebrows raised and you looked at him.
"What do you mean?" you asked him questioningly, the only thing you've been doing for the past few days.
"They're going to try something, so now do you understand why you can't trust nobody," he looks at you, and he ushers you to follow him.
"Come one, they're looking for us, and they'll be back, I need you to follow me," he helps you, but you had refused.
"Hoseok what on earth are you doing the first time, you're all happy, and then you're serious, I just don't get you and –"
"Look, you might not understand, and I –"
"then you need to tell me everything Hoseok, I need to know, I need to understand if you want me to trust you, to help you." Emphasising on it, "then I need you to tell me the truth."
He was debating but nod nonetheless, and nods.
"I'll tell you everything."
"tell me."
"I'm worried about taehyung," he started quietly as he begins to walk along the halls away from the dance room, away from them.
"He's innocent, and I know that he couldn't have hurt you, "he looks at you, a sensitive topic he had brought, and you couldn't help to think about the millions of reason why Taehyung was not what he seems.
"He needs help, and I can help him."
"Hoseok, are you perhaps?" you asked him of the possibility and the relation of Hoseok and Taehyung. Is he batting for the other team?
Hoseok eyes widen and shake his head, "Oh, no – no that's not what you're thinking, Taehyung. He's someone I know."
"and I need you to help me break him out of jail."
A/n: Finally Hoseok opens his mouth it's about time, I didn't understand a word he had said.
