CHAPTER 9

Chapter 9: What the hell happened?

Jimin was a stubborn man, even when taehyung tried to make him come to Korea by kidnapping him inside a suitcase.

It has been a week since you recovered. Jimin had told you that your eyes might be sensitive to light, so he had wrapped them in a bandage so that when they opened it, your eyes wouldn't go in shock.

Taehyung had been quiet for the past few days. He was somehow busy, continuously going in and out of the house, leaving Jimin with you. You were suspicious of how he had been acting. He didn't trust Jimin at first, but then after you had told him to cool his head off. He had left you with Jimin alone.

But of course, Jimin still wouldn't do anything rational he knew if he did something stupid, his life was the prize he had to pay.

"Are you excited about being able to see again?" Jimin asked. You nod your head.

"It's been a while, but I do like seeing things again," you chuckle, "Hoseok told me that the place was beautiful here and in Bali. It's a shame I couldn't see the place."

"I forgot to ask, where is he right now, exactly?" you shrugged, "Not that I know, Taehyung had tied him, but I know Hoseok is smarter."

"He is. The smiling face he likes to put on is his façade, and even I know that too. Hoseok's not a very convincing liar," Jimin couldn't help to giggle. "But I admire him in a way. He's not suspicious no matter how much he looks like he could kill. I was stunned when you told me he had Taehyung in a chokehold. That must have hurt Taehyung's pride."

You couldn't help to chuckle, "you bet he is. Now I know why he tied the poor guy in a chair."

"Right..." jimin turns silent before he taps gently on your arms, "Do you mind if I ask you something?"

"Depends. Is it going to hurt me?"

"Depends on how you take it, I guess," you nod your head. Curiosity was circulating in your head. You had spent your time with Jimin to catch up. You both didn't want to mention heavy topics because you know there are no happy moments when you're going back to Korea. It sometimes worries you how the future will end, happy or sad.

The real question is who and how you'll end with. Even death is an option if you go back. Were you crazy enough to go back? Even after barely escaping, are you ready to go back?

Well, I guess one last time wouldn't hurt, right?

"Shoot me with your question, min," you told him, and he was still quiet.

"Do you love Seokjin that much?" Well, isn't that a question, well, do you?

"Well... I – I guess I am. I'm going back for him, aren't I?" you started, "I risking everything to go back to Seokjin, that – he must mean something to me, right?"

"Are you sure you're not looking for someone else?" Jimin implied, and you were taken aback. Someone else? No – you're not going back for him.

"Why? Are you implying I'm looking back at someone else?" You told him, "if you're talking about Jungkook, then you're not going to get a satisfying answer from me, Jimin. He can burn in hell for all I care. You know that."

"I know, but you seem so happy with him, Anne. You were willing to marry him and –"

"Wait – you knew that I was married to him?" your eyebrows furrow –"Why are you only saying this right now?" you wonder at Jimin, and he begins to pat your hand.

"Even after all of the things happened, do you think your marriage was an important detail? You were back Anne, hurting Jungkook and putting all of us in danger." Jimin said, and you couldn't help to scoff. So it was your fault now? You didn't ask to be awake in a room full of men, not knowing why she was there and, most importantly, who had brought her back to hell.

"Why, is it my fault now?"

"No! Of course not, but –"

"But what? You are implying it is! Get this, Jimin, whether you know the old me and theme right now, they are not the same person. I didn't love him, the marriage, whatever the hell happened with us, it was over. He did something, or maybe I did, but whatever it is, it's not the kind of love you know for Jungkook."

"You hurt him, Anne."

"Oh yeah? How did I manage to do that, huh?"

"You came back," Jimin stated, "He was getting better. You knew him for who he was, I didn't know you, but I hated you. Somehow you captured his heart and attention. I was left behind, but I stayed, and you didn't, but he only looks at you."

"Jimin, I'm sorry that whatever path I chose before had affected any of the boys. I'm trying to understand all of this, the missing piece and the memory I erased. I don't get it –"

"Do you want them back?" he suddenly asked you.

"I erased them before. Do you want them back?" Jimin asked, and you sat still as he walked up to you, removing the bandage from your eyes. His gentle hand had covered your eyes, shielding them from any sunlight until you could readjust.

You nod your head and signal him to remove his hands slowly to see a smiling Jimin, and the first thing you saw was a simple bedroom, kind of like a loft home. You look at your head and surroundings, trying to understand what you missed when you couldn't see until your eyes land on Jimin.

He had gotten a bit buffier than before. To your surprise, he wore a basketball jersey and short-back basketball shorts. His long hair was undeniably a new change compared to his usual trim and neat hair. The tattoo you never knew he had gotten could be visible from his back to his arms. The lip piercing was also a new change.

"You look like a mafia min," you said, and Jimin couldn't help to laugh.

"Out of all the things you could comment on, thanks. It's better for a change. They wouldn't recognize me too much."

"Now, since you can see, how about eating something?

"How about we talk about what we have been discussing? My memories, you erased them. Why?"

He shrugged and stood up to clean, you wanted to help, but he scolded you to sit. He said Taehyung would skin him alive if he made him work.

"You tell me. Banging in front of my office one night, asking me to erase your memories. I don't even know how you knew I was a doctor then. I kept my practice in a mental institution quiet. I told you I didn't like you, but you had begged in exchange for Jungkook, who couldn't help to pass that offer?"

"And you did. You help me."

"I did," he smiled.

"Now, was it a big surprise to see you back at the mansion? At that, your amnesia at the current situation, how could I drop the bomb just like that, besides –" Jimin slightly mumble.

"What?"

"I hated you. I thought you should face Jungkook's wrath."

You were quiet, looking up at Jimin, "Do you hate me now?"

"Depends whether I starve you or not, but it seems like I'm nice today. How about I cook tonight? Taehyung might be home by then." You look to Jimin, who is beginning to walk downstairs.

"Jimin." You stop him, and he turns his back to you.

"Thank you."

"Get your ass down, Anne."

A/N: Jimin you little cheeky man, if you betray, you're gone... anyway.... How's every doing? by the rate of how busy I am, this might take a while to update :(
