CHAPTER 31

Chapter 31: Thank you's pt.4

It happened so quickly; you can't even imagine what was happening. After you had disappeared, Taehyung knew something was up. He was separated from the others, and he could get a glimpse of a tall man cursing loudly, but he couldn't find the other tiny man.

Taehyung ran up to Seokjin. Everyone was panicking about what to do with the now bloody man on the ground. Taehyung had called 112 before finally re-joining Seokjin.

"Where is Yoongi?" Seokjin asked Taehyung, who had his phone in his hands, and the latter shook his head.

"Wasn't he with Namjoon?" Taehyung said before he shook his head, frustratingly, "Fuck him. Where's Anne? She was with Jimin."

"That bastard had taken her away. I know we shouldn't have done this, "Taehyung then looked at the man who had suggested the place before pushing him by the shoulder, Seokjin stumbling slightly.

"This wouldn't have happened if you didn't suggest this stupid idea, "Taehyung seethes in anger, "If I lose Anne, I will personally kill you. I can hide your body easily. Anne does care for you, but it means nothing to me."

Seokjin chuckles, "Did anyone ever mention you're the spitting image of Jungkook but a bit saner than the latter?"

Taehyung, who took that as an insult, punched Seokjin in the jaw, making the older tumble, "See? You were no different than Jungkook. You both are like twins, one using his head and the other using their fists."

"Shut up, we need to find where Anne is," Seokjin panicked, "I can't even find Yoongi."

"We don't need to worry about it."

-

Seokjin then forms a plan, asking Taehyung to find Yoongi and himself to see you. He had a hunch you were brought back into the house. It was the only place Jimin called home, other than Paris.

Of course, Jimin would have picked Paris, it was Jimin's origin, and Seokjin knew, but that's another story.

As his eyes scanned the place, he heard shouting.

"Seokjin!" you shouted for his name, and Seokjin looked at you before stopping him.

"Don't move. The exterior is not fixed. Any more weight could kill us." You said as you sauntered to Seokjin.

"I'm so glad I met you. I was lost, Jimin went inside the house asking me to meet Jungkook before, but we split." You told Seokjin, and he nodded his head.

He hugs you before, and you can hear shouting in the distance. You both begin running to the safer part of the place before finally landing eye-to-eye with Yoongi, who was with Taehyung, and Jungkook, with Jimin.

"Jungkook!" His attention averted from a struggling Jimin to your eyes. His black pearly eyes look up, and you shiver in fear. He's no longer the same person you have looked at. He was indeed a beast in an abandoned castle.

"Let's talk, just you and me."

"Then talk."

"Wouldn't it be better if we were both alone?" Seokjin looks at you in horror, but you assure him. Walking to the centre of the room, you realize the exterior was also not completed. The place was going to crash, and to your horror. Jungkook was holding onto the middle part of the exterior. Where its lowest strength of the building lies. If you walk, you can feel the ground beneath you slipping.

Jungkook, who was still looking at you, smiled. He knew that it was going to fall. Your heart stops learning. It will crumble no matter what happens. Jungkook was going to drag Jimin and himself to death. He was stalling so the weight could kill them.

You needed to do something.

"Get out of there. It is going to fall," You told him, "If you die, you wouldn't be able to live anymore."

"I died already when you left me that night. You took half of me with you," He monotonously told you, "I'm just a living hollow shell with a dead soul lingering."

The shaking ground was not helping. Whatever had happened, the place was starting to crumble down. The whole exterior was going to crumble. It was not strong enough to hold onto our weights. Resulting in some of us moving out of the way as Jungkook held Jimin tighter in his hold.

A gun is held onto Jimin's head while the poor boy tries to struggle in Jungkook's arm. He couldn't breathe, and you were panicking, afraid that even before Jungkook could blow a fuse into Jimin's head, he would die of the lack of oxygen.

"Jungkook, let go," you reason, "You don't have anything against Jimin. You have with me. Just let him go."

Jungkook stood there emotionless but smirked, "I don't think I can do that, my love. I've realized that the only people trying to come between you and me need a time-out."

Jungkook held Jimin tighter and clicked the safety gun off, "I'll start with this one."

"W-what h-have I ever d-done to you -to hate me?" Jimin choked on his own breath.

"You existed."

The rumbling exterior was getting worst as you all tried to not slip, bringing another weight into the rumbling surface.

"Jungkook, we can fix it. Why can't we talk about it?" you asked him, "You claim to love me, and we have history. Why can't you tell me then?"

"Would you listen if I told you the curse is killing me? I can't stand it anymore, but I don't like dying alone while everyone gets their happy ending?" He told you, and you shook your head.

"Then you need to trust us, Jungkook. We wouldn't hurt you. We want to help," you plead to him, "I don't even know you anymore."

"Then I guess we've never met," Jungkook said. Jungkook, still emotionless, then pointed the gun below him, shooting the ground, and it started rumbling.

Of course, the ground opened into a pitch-black hole before Jimin and Jungkook plummeted into the hole.

Jimin made a run before grabbing Jungkook, no sound of the broken rubbles could be heard, but it was not significant.

"JIMIN!" you ran, and to your surprise, Jimin held onto the edge of the concrete. You held Jimin's hands as Jimin was being lifted up. Jungkook refused to be lifted and instead tried to pull the small man with him.

"Fuck Jimin, let go, you idiot. He doesn't care about you," Yoongi pulls Jimin's body, trying so hard not to let him fall.

"Jimin, you need to let go!" You held on to Jimin.

"DON'T YOU THINK I'VE TRIED?" Jimin screams at the top of his lung, "Trying to defy it until I can't breathe anymore. I'm tired. Please let me rest. I just want to close my eyes."

You were holding onto Jimin, who was still struggling to hold onto Jungkook's arms.

The latter was desperately trying to hold onto the hands he had hoped one day had dearly held his heart. But he knew in front of him was not the person who had dreamed about those years before. Because no matter how Jimin would lie to himself and everyone else, Jungkook was no longer the person they had searched for.

The poor had lost himself, and Jimin knew deep down. Jungkook was not ready, or he might never want to be saved.

But how could you give up on someone you love so dearly?

"Jimin hyung! Please don't let go of me! I promise you we can live together as you wanted, right?" Jungkook's eyes pleadingly look at Jimin.

The latter was slipping. Yoongi, Seokjin and Taehyung were trying so hard to not let Jimin go, but Jungkook was not helping either. You knew because Jimin was attempting to pull Jungkook up. The boy was struggling to drag us in.

"Jungkook – you – you can try, right?" Jimin asked, crying, "Please tell them you will get better!"

Jungkook, shaking his head before slipping his hands, fell into a bottomless abyss, and Jimin screamed at the top of his lungs, but no sound was made when falling. Jimin was trying to jump before Seokjin and Taehyung held him down.

"It's over, Jimin. Let go!" Taehyung seethes, "He doesn't need you. He had let go of you. He chooses death. It was never you."

Jimin, who was still struggling, then lay down in absolute quiet. He daintily fingers then clench into a fist before he slumps down.

Seokjin, who had deemed that Jimin would not follow Jungkook's faith, looks back at Yoongi, who nods.

Yoongi then walks away, disappearing somewhere, before your hands hold Jimin's hands, "We need to get out."

-

It's been fifteen minutes before Jimin finally stops walking. You follow Jimin silently. Seokjin suggested that Jimin be left alone. But you knew that as lonely as Jimin wants, he'll wish someone would at least care enough he was there, or if anybody had cared about him.

Jimin begins walking to the cliff ending, not wanting him to do anything. You feel relieved to see he is sitting on a park bench. You stayed behind him, facing him back, hiding behind the trees.

Silently took over as you began picking flowers and playing with tiny branches. Occasionally you will meet little insects and panic, not wanting them to crawl on you.

"Are you just going to stay there with the insects or sit beside me? They are poisonous, by the way, "You scream immediately, standing up, trying to brush any more insects that might have crawled.

"Why did you tell me!"

"You didn't bother asking, beside you were sneaking behind me, was I supposed to know you were there?" Jimin said as he turned his back to look at you.

"Come sit."

You sat down beside Jimin, who then turn another quiet session. Before you turn to Jimin wanting to say something before, you are cut.

"Before you say anything, let me say something. But please, let me try to say it for you to make sense." Jimin then proceeds to stand up, and he looks at you.

"Let's have a walk. I know this place like the back of my hand. I think it's time to let go." Jimin said, holding your hand, "First, I have an abandonment issue, so I like holding hands with someone."

As you both begin walking, Jimin takes your hands.

"I was an orphan. I don't remember having an image of my parents. I don't even know why my name is Jimin. All I know is that I have my surname, which is Park. Other than that, I don't know anything about me."

"I always been adopted, but then I returned to the orphanage again. It happened a lot of times. I think I've lost count. That is until a man picked me up one day, and I stayed there longer than I thought. He taught me how to do medicine and that medical stuff. I began liking it, hoping he would not put me back in the orphanage."

"I was a little boy. Being obedient was the only thing on my mind. I can only think of the consequence if I didn't. My only concern was not to be put back into the orphanage. That is until I found out he was Namjoon's father."

"I have never met Namjoon, but his father was always so proud of him. He had told me, Namjoon was going to be something, he was going to be unstoppable, and all the things his father couldn't do, Namjoon would be able to."

"I didn't know what it meant, but I was determined to help. Namjoon never pays attention to me, that is, until I meet Jungkook. He was someone who wouldn't mind me being close to him. I was always someone who he could cry his eyes out. The little boy who couldn't get Namjoon's attention was now in my arms."

"I just thought, If I can comfort Jungkook and be with him all the time, He wouldn't mind me for the rest of my life. I don't need to worry about being left out. Being obedient to Jungkook's request was my goal. As long as I stay quiet and be good, Jungkook will like me."

"But I didn't think that developing more feelings for the boy was part of the deal, and I fell by the end. Being alone was now not my priority, but being with Jungkook was."

"Look how that end up with. Jungkook left me, and I did many bad things to you and everyone."

Jimin looks up to you, "I'm sorry. No words can even comprehend what I did. But I don't have anything. All I can do is sincerely apologise."

You held Jimin's hands, wiping his tears away, "You are forgiven, Jimin. For whatever sin you did, I'm no God. But I do believe you are forgiven."

"For every mistake you've made, I have forgiven you. I will never forget what you did, or the past will never let you forget. But don't take it as a punishment. Take it as a lesson learned. Now, you know what you did was never right."

"If you know, then you can still fix it. You might never know when your last breath will come, so you start now to redeem yourself. It's not going to be easy, but I assure you, you will be happier."

Jimin looks at you before looking at the house, "I'm so tired. It feels like the world is running away from me."

"Jimin, the world will not stop no matter how much you want it to stop for you. So, walk if you can't run, crawl if you can't walk, and don't stop moving. But if you tried, then you don't have to worry. Since the world will not stop, you should catch on to the next ride!"

Jimin then looked back at the giant place he had called home. The airy place was now even lonelier than ever. He knows Jungkook was inside there, waiting for Jimin. For the past few weeks of staying close to the boy, he knew deep down that no matter how much love he had given, Jungkook was not close to making him stop.

It was because he couldn't appreciate the little love Jimin had given him. How can he then understand the immense love?

Jungkook didn't want the little thing Jimin had done for him. What makes you think Jungkook will open his eyes to something bigger? Jungkook didn't like it, so no matter what happened, he wouldn't want it.

Jimin knew it was time to stop.

"I'm glad I can be someone. Even if that means forgetting how to love you," Jimin's eyes begin to water, "Even in the end, you were still someone I loved. You couldn't get away with the thoughts."

Jimin stood up in his place and kissed the ground, "You were always seeing things on the smaller thoughts. Do you think the 'you' before would forgive you for what you did?"

"He – who had prayed every night to heavens to give himself more time in this world." Jimin sighs heavily before standing up and brushing his clothes.

It was time to start something new in his life, a chapter he was willing to write. They close the doors and open a fresh start, "Don't worry, the heavens have sent out your punishment."
