CHAPTER 2
Chapter 2: Expected the unexpected
"No... Hoseok, we can't be doing this right now," you were watching Hoseok's silhouette prancing in the room. He's been doing that since this morning. He was on his phone cursing in Indonesian. You don't know what he was talking about, but he was sure panicking.
Yesterday after Jimin had called and dropped the news. Hoseok went into panic mode, he was ready to move the whole place, and he couldn't help panicking even more. You had to calm him down and ask him to sleep because he couldn't focus.
But you knew he didn't get a wink of sleep. So, in the morning, you were greeted with a frantic Hoseok in the kitchen as he cursed out every word in Indonesian.
But who wouldn't curse their hearts when they knew that someone you thought had died magically came back to life? It didn't make sense; you were trying hard to grasp the concept of the idea. Why had he come back, and why now?
You saw his casket lowered down; he had dug his grave when he drank the tea that day. Was it possible to dig out of it?
Your mind was not understanding the situation, but one thing for sure was Taehyung was back, and you didn't know what to feel.
"Don't you get it? He's back if he's back, that means that anything is possible. What if –"
"Aren't you happy?" you suddenly ask him as his silhouette looks at you, "Taehyung, he's back. Aren't you happy?"
"I don't know, "he was honest, "I'm glad he's back, that Taehyung's not dead, but I – he was in the past, I've tried to move on, but then he came back, and I don't know whether it's a good news or –"
"Hoseok, look at me –"you take Hoseok's hand, and he grabs a chair beside you as you brush his hair back.
You were not the only one who had problems. At least you know your body and your limits, it was like a reset button for you, but for Hoseok, it was a nightmare.
It seems like the house was taking a significant toll on both of you, and it was not a mystery why you needed to change scenery.
After leaving the house, Hoseok had developed a necessary panic in every situation, a lot more than he needed to. Despite being a psycho who used to dance in the dance hall, the carefree persona he had put on was now shattered. Now fear had consumed him; not even dancing could snap it out of him.
He had told you the exact reason why he had come that day to that eventful house.
It was Taehyung, his brother, well, stepbrother. He had broken down the other day with alcohol as he cried out his heart.
He was supposed to be the bigger brother who would protect Taehyung, like he had failed with his sister. Taehyung, a loveable and outgoing personality, was too big of a handle for the small world Hoseok had the plan to live in.
Hoseok was okay with confinement, while Taehyung was not. Hence, he had run away, far from where Hoseok could reach. Until that he had landed a job in the house.
His job was simple, to keep the nightmare out. That is what Namjoon had promised Hoseok that day when he had signed the contract, well, his death contract, but Hoseok didn't need to know that.
Namjoon had thought he had Hoseok over his palm, but Hoseok was smarter. Hell, it wasn't a surprise. He was someone you could call Hyde and Jekyll. Cunning yet sweet, that is how you describe Hoseok. Playing a little lamb and prey from Namjoon was an excellent idea for what he was about to do. Namjoon was rich, and Hoseok needed the money to capture Taehyung - cross that to bring Taehyung back home - simple as that.
His plan failed, though, when Taehyung appeared in the house and demanded if he lay a single hair on Taehyung, the worst possible thing could happen to Hoseok.
Hoseok had thought that even death was scary, so he complied. Who knew the devil was much more sinister than the one who he had thought it'd be?
"We need to move now, right now." Hoseok decision was final, and you couldn't help to feel frustrated. Taehyung was not here, and here he was, panicking once more.
"Hoseok, Taehyung is not here, and Jimin said not to worry, remember?" After Jimin had called that day, he was sure Taehyung, who had curly hair – which Jimin had stated – was in front of his door. Jimin was ready to open the door after he finished panicking and was prepared to open the door that had peeked through, and nobody was there.
Taehyung had vanished.
"Hoseok moving is not a solution until we face the truth. I'm tired of running. Can't we stay?" Your reason was reasonable for you, but then Hoseok stood up harshly, tugging his hands away before suddenly grabbing your shoulder and shaking you.
"And then what? Let them kill me? Let them pull the trigger to my head and then skin you alive?" He seethes, "Taehyung is back and worried. I should be happy, I am trying, but I'm not letting him get to us, to you!"
"Hoseok, you have to be rational here. We don't need to talk about this," you were getting frustrated. You don't understand why he was making a big deal. Out of all the things running through your mind, one of them being alive after death was not something you should be worried about.
If Taehyung's back, that means all of them are all alive. He was still alive.
"Then let him come... he could lead us too –"
Hoseok then snickers in disgust, something he had done when he was displeased, "Are you implying Taehyung could bring you back? Bring you back to him? He's dead, and you know that."
"You're a monster," you boil in anger, and he laughs.
"and your delusional, but here we are, aren't we?" he lets you go. You were ready to give him a piece of your mind because this Hoseok is not Jung Hoseok. When someone knocked. Hoseok was alert, but you stopped him.
"Stop it. I ordered food. You go get ready. I'll take it." You stood up, trying to remember your way as the blurry front door was getting visible.
Opening the door, you had hoped the delivery man had finally arrived with the food you had ordered, but instead, you were greeted with a hug.
The person had hugged you tight, and you were welcome with a masculine musk. You used to smell familiar yet so unfamiliar.
"I miss you," he started.
"Kim Taehyung... get your arms away from her" Taehyung looks up to see Hoseok with a shotgun pointing at him.
"Jung Hoseok, you protective bastard, are you seriously going to do this again?" Taehyung smirks his way to the furious-looking Hoseok.
A/N: they have problems I swear, What do you think? Do you think something is happening yet again? Or there might be something else?
you know with the plotline I have written, I might even write a third book, the f.
