Chapter 17: Begining Of Anarchy
*two hours earlier*
"Where is it?" I questioned.
Frantically, I searched through some of my old things that I was smart enough to bring with me. As I went through the old box, memories of my old mafia days resurfaced.
Found it.
"Yes, found it," I said, holding up my very old and used gun holster. It was one of the very first ones I had gotten from my dad when I was still active in the mafia world.
It was a faded, pealed and brown leather holster with a black buckle I could use to attach it to myself. And along with it, came a matching knife holster that raps around my inner thigh.
As I stood in the mirror, tying my hair up into a high pony, I heard a knock on my door. I turned my attention and eyes towards the door - reflected in the mirror.
Jin stood in the doorway, watching me tie my hair up. While I adjusted my ponytail, he broke the silence; "you know I still can't believe that you used to be a mobster," he said with a slight chuckle. I laughed with him and agreed to his comment.
"That makes two of us," I said, earning a genuine chuckle this time from the elder. We stood for a moment in comfortable silence, while I put on my shoulder gun holster - trying to strap it up in the back, but I can't quite reach.
"Would you mind?" I asked, gesturing to the strap of the holster.
He remained in his passive state even as he made his way over to me. "Not at all," he replied, taking the strap from my hands and buckled it in place.
I thanked him and made my way over to my bed. I sat on the edge and began tying the knife holster to my inner thigh over my leather tights. Jin handed me my black boots that were set next to my full length mirror. I gave him my second thanks and proceeded to put them on.
After I finished that, I strapped my half plaid skirt around my waist - making sure that it was long enough to make it over my knife holster. I adjusted my black sleeveless leather crop top.
Jin offered me my black jean jacket that I had hung in the front of my closet. And with that, I simply returned his generosity with a smile before I made sure the gun holster was well hidden. I turned to Jin.
"How do I look?" I asked, looking at his expression.
"Amazingly badass, y/n," he said, removing the end of my ponytail from inside my jacket. His comment made me smile again.
"Good, let's go down to the other guys." I walked towards the door, but I felt Jin's hold on my shoulder.
"What's wrong Jin Oppa?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.
"Please be careful, I don't want you getting hurt on your mission to get Yoongi back," he said with a glint of worry in those beautiful brown eyes.
"Don't worry, Oppa. I'll be extremely careful and I'll kick some ass while doing it." I smiled in an attempt to reassure him, a glint of determination in my eyes following after. "Now let's head down and wait for my guys to show up."
After our exchange, we walked out the room and downstairs. When we had reached downstairs, all eyes fell on me.
Do I have something on my face? Or does my outfit not look right?
"Wow, y/n. You look so badass and kinda hot," Jungkook said, smiling at me.
I was little taken aback by his comment, but accepted it anyway. After a little more questions, I heard a car stopping in front of the house. I shushed everyone and made my way to the door with a kitchen knife in hand. I peered slightly through the window and saw it's my guys I called.
I had set the knife down and made my way towards the door. I opened the door to see a familiar smiling boy with raven hair.
"Hi, boss, long time no see." He said with a low bow, while the other behind him mimicked his moves.
He stood upright again and I let them inside. "I've told you so many times to call me by my name." I said, smirking at his reaction, while I closed the door. We made our way closer to the boys, BTS, watching us intently with serious expressions.
"So guys, these are my men that used to work with me — and him--" I gesture to the man standing next to me, "He's my second in command and my right-hand man. Introduce yourself."
I urged him by nudging and stepping back to make room for him to stand in my place. "Hi, my name Dain, but everybody calls me D. Nice to meet you," He said in such an respectful way — down to his honorifics — and he added a little bow too. I had to chuckle at that point.
"What's the chuckling about, hey, boss?" He said, side-eying me.
"It's just-- I've never seen you act so respectful-- it's just so funny," I barely said without chuckling more than I should.
"Yeah, whatever. Can we just get this show on the road already. My hands have been itching for some target practice," He said, patting the bag that I told him to bring.
"Now that's the Dain I know."
I walked over to him and took the bags full of 'supplies' over to the living room table. After all the henchmen cleared the table, I placed the bags on the side of the table and unzipped them. I started emptying the contents on the table. The contents consisted of knives, star blades, hand grenades and a variety of guns. Seeing all this reminded me of the good old days, when I had done target practice all the time and trained till I couldn't stand anymore.
I started handing out the weapons to all my men. "So boys, I will be leaving two of my men here to guard you and the house to make sure no one else tries something while I'm not here, got it?" As I gave out orders, I had put a revolver in my arm holster, taking another gun and putting it in another holster.
"Got it?" I checked again, noticing that they are paying more attention to me loading and hiding weapons.
"Got it," I heard a few of them say.
Once I finished loading up, I was ready to leave. However, before I could, someone called out to me as I was half way out the door. I turned back to see Hoseok walking up to me. I smile at him and he returned the smile.
"What's wrong Hoseok Oppa?" I asked, noticing his troubled expression.
"No, nothings wrong. It's just — I just, uh--" He struggled to get the words out.
"What's wrong tell me," I said, putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"It's just, please, come back safely with Yoongi."
My face relaxed into a smile. "Don't worry, Oppa. I'll be safe and so will Yoongi Oppa, but I can't say the same thing about the guys I'm about fight."
I winked after finishing the last part. And that seemed to have surprised him, but he laughed it off anyway.
"Well, I should get going. I'll see you all later, with Yoongi," I added, making sure to emphasis the 'with Yoongi' part and walked out the door.
As I was locking the door, I heard the honking of a car horn that I know all too well. I turned around to see my old car, an all-black racing style Lamborghini.
"My car; Dain where did you find my old car," I said. I ran up to him, hugged him and then admired the car.
"It's been at my house," he stated casually, while shrugging his shoulders and opening the drivers side-door for me to get inside.
"What? Why?" I asked, while getting inside.
He closed the door and made his way over the passenger side and got inside. "Because I thought there might come a day you might want your car back, so I kept it and looked after it. No biggy," Dain explained, gesturing me to get going.
*one hour later*
"We're here," I said as we pulled up a few meters away from this compound looking place.
"Where are we and what is this place?" I turned and asked Dain who is furiously typing away on his laptop.
"We are in an abandoned industrial area, the building we are currently situated outside is storage facility unit 89. It used to be a storage warehouse for a toy company, but since it has been abandoned it's been taken over by a newly formed mafia. There are no details on them yet."
"So you mean to tell me, that this newly formed mafia managed to kidnap Yoongi without us realising it?" I said, shocked.
"Yes, somehow, they have intel about you and the boys whereabouts. They were also the ones that have been leaving all the weird letters for you guys," he answered, shocking me even more.
"Who is their boss?" I questioned, now furious that someone had messed with our lives.
"Nothing is known about who or where they are," Dain said.
"Damn it," I cursed and started loading extra ammunition into all my pockets and holsters and then looked at Dain, sitting next to me. With the most determination I've ever had in my voice, I said: "Let's go get Yoongi back."
All my men and I stealthily made our way around the back. D had disabled all the cameras, so we could move freely. He also stayed back in the car, currently guiding us through the compound to make sure we don't run into any guards.
"D come in," I said through the ear piece.
"Yeah, boss."
"Do you know where they are holding Yoongi?" I said, pointing my gun up, while turning a corner.
"They're holding him in one of the store rooms in the basement. The second last door at the end of the hallway on your left." I heard through the earpiece.
"Roger that, thanks D."
As we reached the hallway, I started hearing talking clearer. I signaled my men to spread out and keep there guards up. I peered around the corner and saw four armed men walking towards us. I signaled my men to get ready.
As they neared, me being the closest to the corner, I readied myself for action. The moment they took the corner, all hell broke lose. Everything happened in such a blur.
The moment they took the corner, I fired the first shot and one of them went down. That's when everyone stated fighting and shooting. I took that as an opportunity and slipped away from the scene.
"D, guide me, am I going the right way?" I asked, running down the hallway and making sure of my surroundings.
"Okay y/n, you are heading the right way. At the end of the hallway, there's a door on your right. Go through there, but watch out, there are two armed guards on the other side and you also need a key-card to open the door."
"Oh, don't worry about that. I already have one, I swiped it from the guard I shot earlier." I said, holding up the key-card to the camera — knowing very well that D was watching me.
"Nice, I see you haven't lost your touch after so long, out of the game." He says throwing shade at me.
"Who said I ever lost it?" I said, a smirk evident in my voice.
After what felt like ages of running, I finally saw the door.
"Coming up to the door now," I informed, touching my earpiece.
I got ready to ambush whoever is on the other side. I swiped the card, pushed the door open and immediately aim my gun at the two unsuspecting men. They overcome their shock quickly and kicked my gun out of my hand.
I reacted immediately. Before one of the guys could land a punch on my face, I roundhouse kicked him in the ribs, all while spinning around and landing a right hook on the others jaw.
With them distracted, I pull out four star blades and threw it at each one of them, watching them fall lifeless to the floor. I casually strutted towards my gun on the floor, picked it up and talked over the earpiece again. I forgot how easy it was to pretend as if singlehandedly killing people was a small feat.
"Okay D, where am I going next?"
"Okay, before you leave the guy on your right on the floor, he has a bunch of keys. Grab them 'cause your gonna need them for the cell-doors and the door at the bottom of the steps ahead of you. Once you walk down the stairs, there's going to be a door at the bottom behind, the door leads to the store rooms-slash-cells that they are holding Yoongi in. But be careful, there are at least six guards down there."
"Okay got it." I readied my weapon in my hand and started making my way down the stairs to the door.
Soon, I got to the bottom and looked through the small window in the door. I saw six guards just like D said; two tall guys and the rest a moderate height. I adjusted my weapon in hand and looked through the glass window one last time — mapping out the room and men's locations.
I looked down at all of keys in my hand and tried to find the ones that matched the key hole. There were four keys that matched the hole. The first one I grabbed I placed into the key hole, turning it slowing as to make minimum noise. And lucky me, the first key I tried turned out to be the right one!
I opened the door slowly and peeked inside with a gun in hand, ready to pull the trigger. As my head comes in through the door, I saw that all six men seemed to be in a deep conversation. They didn't even notice me, making my way into the room.
I sped-walked to an office chair placed in the corner of the room and listened in on what they are saying, 'cause it could be valuable information on the person behind all of this.
While I squatted down behind the chair, I heard them mention something about Yoongi.
"So what we gonna do with that piece of shit in the store room. Also why did boss even ask us to kidnap him, he is of no worth to us," One of the henchman said.
"No clue, boss just said to beat him up, but keep him alive. I think this is one of her secret plots again," One of the other men answered.
'Her', so their boss is a female. After hearing enough, I stood up slowly and quietly sneaked my way behind them. I took out another gun from the back of my tights and aimed it at the two guys closest to me.
"Hey, if you don't know what to do with that 'piece of shit', I can gladly take him off your hands." I said, shocking all of them.
They all pulled out their weapons and aimed them at me. "Who are you and how did you get back here?!" One of the men asked in a very rough tone of voice.
I took a step closer and replied: "That's none of your business, and I'll be the one asking the questions here. Who hired you to kidnap my friend?"
I put my gun directly on the guy's forehead, demanding answers. However, he looked me in my eyes and crouched down to my height. "Why? What you gonna do, sweetheart?" He mocked in a sickeningly sweet voice, moving my gun out of his face.
I smirked, moving my gun away from his face and inching closer to his. "I've been waiting for you to ask me a dumb question," I said, lifting my gun up quickly and shooting that cocky piece of shit in the side of the head.
I turned around and faced the rest of the shook men. "Since no one is willing to tell me, I think I've been merciful enough," I said, shooting two more people in the head.
They all started charging toward me. I charged toward them and a bloody battle took place. Some of the men threw punches, while others were shooting. I dodged all the attacks and used some of their bodies as shields. I can tell that they haven't been trained very well. I shot the last guy in the head and looked back at all the dead bodies laying on the floor.
"Too easy, and I didn't even get a scratch on me." I took out the bunch of keys from my inside pocket from my denim jacket and searched for the key that unlocks this door.
When I finally found it, the click of the door soon followed after. Immediately, I bolted inside. I ran through the short passageway, following the directions that D gave me.
I found the room where Yoongi was locked in and looked through the glass, while simultaneously searching for the next key. He looked lifeless on the floor, shackled to the wall like an animal. This made my blood boil.
I quickly found the right key and hastily unlocked the door, struggling to do so from rage and worry. I ran inside and immediately threw myself down on my knees. I gently rolled Yoongi over to check on him.
"Yoongi! Are you okay, say something!" I yelled, while frantically searching for the shackle's key. I attempted to unlock them until the lock opened, freeing his ankles. I sat him up, so he could lean on the wall.
"Yoongi!" I called, shaking him again.
I took a moment to examine his face. There were lots of bruises and cuts with dry blood; they really tried to hurt him. While examining his injuries, his eyes start fluttering open.
"Yoongi!" I exclaimed, gripping tightly onto his shoulders.
He opened his eyes fully and examined his surroundings. "Y/n? What are you doing here? How did you find me? Where are the others?" He bombarded me with questions, while trying to stand up. I helped him steady himself up.
"I came to save you and don't worry, every one else is safe at home with my men," I said as I wrapped his arm around my shoulder and carried him to the door.
"Your men? What do you mean? What's going on and why do you have guns?" He asked, very perplexed and out of it.
"I'll answer all your questions later. Right now, we have to get out of here." We made our way through the room I just came from, the six dead bodies right where they were before and the blood pool still fresh.
"Did you do this?" He asked in utter shock.
"Later," I reminded him.
We made it to the front of the building, where all my men were waiting. They saw me approaching with Yoongi and immediately came to assist. They took Yoongi to the car. But before I followed, I turned back to the building and I took out two hand grenades.
"Can't leave any evidence," I said, pulling the pins out of the grenade and effortlessly tossed them into the building.
I ran over to my car, got in and drived away. From the window, we watched the building explode and fire igniting.
"Mission success; well done, boss." Dain congratulated, while clapping.
"Okay, if someone doesn't tell what the hell is going on right now!" Yoongi yelled from the back seat.
I took my eyes off the road, looked at him through the rear view mirror and simply said, "You just got saved by an ex-mobster."
