Chapter 14: Where is he?
*one hour before*
Okay, so, I'm standing next to Jimin Oppa, while he filled balloons, water guns with water and other things from the fridge that seem to look like sauces. "So, what exactly do you plan on doing with these Oppa?" I questioned, poking at one of the balloons filled with what I assume to be soy sauce. "Well, you said that you wanted to have fun, so that is what we're about to do. Oh and can you grab one of those big pots that Jin Hyung uses to make food in, please," he said pointing at the said pot sitting at the edge of the kitchen sink. I walked over to the pot and lazily dragged it by the handle, which caused it to make a loud sound. I looked over to him and he saw him put his finger over his lips, signaling me to be quieter. I smiled sheepishly at him and mouthed 'sorry'.
Jimin just scoffed and took the pot out of my hands and started putting the balloons inside it. After he finished, he shoved a water gun and another pot with more balloons in my hands. He looked at me and I just mindlessly stared back, still not sure what we were about to do. He sighed once he saw my blank expression. "We ambush on three then we make our way to the Hyung's rooms, okay?" He said, pointing out the kitchen door towards the stairs. I nodded, now understanding what we were about to do. "On three," he said, looking at me.
"Hana.."
"Dul.."
"Set." We both counted together. Then, we made our way up the stairs so quietly that you could hear the person on the other side of the door - we were standing in front of - breathing. We looked at each other as if saying 'its go time'. We listened first to hear who's inside then we pushed the door open, not sparing a glance at whoever was inside. "Hope you like soy sauce," Jimin Oppa said to Yoongi and Hoseok Oppa whose backs were facing the door. When they turned around to ask what Jiminie Oppa was talking about, we took our water guns and the balloons filled with weird. We started throwing and shooting at them!
"You guys are so dead," Yoongi Oppa said, walking towards us; he wiped the mayo off his face from the balloon I threw at him. Me and Jimin looked at each then sprayed him with water from the water guns and then, a ketchup balloon was thrown at him. "RUN, WHILE WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE!" I shouted, pushing Jimin Oppa out the door and closing it. As I done so, we made a run for it. "What the hell is goi-..." Jin Oppa didn't have the chance to finish, because we stared pelting him with balloon bombs and squirting him with water. When we stopped, we ran straight pass Jin Oppa into his shared room, and bombed poor sleeping Namjoon Oppa with water and sauce bombs right in the face. He freaked when we shot him in the face and started panicking, probably thinking that he was drowning from the water.
Honestly, it looked really funny to see him panic and fall out of the bed with blanket and all in a coughing fit. Before he even had a chance to see who it was, we were already out the door. We ran all the way to Jimin Oppa's shared room. When we got there, the door was already open, so we quietly tip-toed to the door. Running inside, no one was there; we looked at each with confusion on our faces. Just then, the door slammed closed and all the others were standing in the doorway with water guns and sauce balloons in hand - smirking at us. "Game over you two brats," Yoongi Oppa said. We looked at each other and then back. It all happened in a big ass blur of balloons and water flying everywhere. And in that blurry mess, I managed to get to the door. As I opened it, everyone looked at me and that's when everything started. The house looked like a war zone. Everyone was covered in water and sauce, hiding from each other. I was currently hiding in the hallway closet, watching a hilarious scene unfolding outside the door. Jungkook Oppa was standing behind Tae Oppa, shooting and throwing things at him then crouching down behind him whenever he turns around. And, I can't believe that it's working. After about like ten minutes of him doing that, Tae finally caught him.
Jin oppa finally called this whole war off. We had all come out of hiding, laughing at how we all looked. We sat down and started talking before we cleaned up, but I noticed that there was someone missing. I decided to ask the guys where he was. "Hey, guys, where is Yoongi Oppa?" I asked, which grabbed all their attention. "Aish, that boy, he must have fallen asleep where he was hiding. C'mon, let's go look for him."
Which leads us all the way to the present time, we had just finished looking and now we are panicking. "Where do you think he could be Namjoon Oppa?" I questioned with teary eyes, wiping a stray tear that fell before anyone could see. "I don't know, (Y/n). Maybe he just we-"
DING DONG.
The door bell cut him off. I suddenly got the chills like something wasn't right. I looked at the boys and they seemed to know what I was feeling. "Who's there?" Jin yelled. "..." No answer. He made his way, slowly, over to the door with a frying pan in hand - just in case. When he opened the door, no one was there. I walked up to Jin Oppa and we were, by then, slightly out the door to see if anyone was there. When were about to close the door, I notice an envelope taped to the door. "Wait, Oppa, what's this?" I said, pulling the mysterious envelope slowly off the door, making sure not to disturb the contents within it. Me and Jin Oppa walked into the living room to see everybody avidly waiting. "So, who was it and what's that?" Namjoon asked me, while pointing to my hands. "There was no one there, but this was taped to the door," I said, lifting the envelope up and putting it down on the coffee table.
Yoongi's P.O.V
The lord alone knows how we all ended up in this weird ass situation of us hiding from each other, having what I assume to be a mini war. I am currently sitting in the kitchen cabinet and I have to say, I thought this would be an uncomfortable place to hide - but I was wrong. I might just use this as a place to hide from those pabo's if they get on my nerves. This cabinet is so spacious that I am sitting cross-legged with a pot of sauce balloons on my lap and a water gun next to me. I was starting to get annoyed of sitting in here with nothing to do but wait. I grabbed my gun and pot of water balloons, and slowly pushed the door of the cabinet open to scan my surroundings. It kinda took a while, because my eyes had to adjust to the light in the room since I had spent almost an hour in a dark cabinet. When I was 100% sure that there was no one in the kitchen, I stepped out of the cabinet. I turned around to be met face to face with a hooded figure smirking at me and just when I was about to throw hands, everything went dark. The last thing I remember before passing out was the dude throwing me over his shoulder and leaving the house.
I started to move around, feeling uncomfortable and my head was killing me. I tried to open my eyes, but they felt so heavy. But I put all my energy into it. I scanned my surroundings to see that I'm in a small dark room, which kinda looked like a dungeon. I got up to try and look for a way out, but, when I walked forward towards the door, something was pulling at my foot. I looked down to see a shackle with a long chain leading back to the wall I was leaned up against. I tried to un-clamp the shackles, but it wasn't working. Just when I was about start pulling at the chain, the door to the cell was opened and two guys walked in. I was about to ask who they were, but they beat me to it. "The boss sent us in to come and collect you. Boss needs to have a word with you," the really tall guy with bleach-blond hair said, while the other, slightly shorter, guy with raven hair walked to me - undoing my shackle, putting handcuffs on me and pushing me out of the cell. I don't like the looks of this. "Where are you guys taking me?" I questioned them with the coldest tone I had ever used. "Do us and yourself a favor and shut up. It will make this process go a whole lot quicker without you being nosy," the brunet said, pushing me forward - urging me to walk faster. I wonder if the guys realized I'm missing yet.
(Y/n)'s P.O.V
We walked, searched countless times around the house and we even asked the neighbors if they had seen him leave the house. All our attempts ended with same conclusion.
Nothing.
We found no trace of him, but we did find the water gun and pot of sauce balloons laying on the floor, in front of one of the cabinets in the kitchen. I walked back in the house after roaming around the neighborhood again to see if he might have gotten lost, but - yet again - nothing. I manage to drag my tired body to the living room, where all the boys were sitting - slouching in their seats with the same long look on their faces as me.
I walked over to the single seat and plopped down. I looked around and didn't even want to ask if anyone found anything. By the looks of it, I could tell it would be a no. I was about to get up from my seat to get a drink of water when I noticed the letter from earlier still unopened, laying on the table. "Guys..." I said catching their attention. "Ne," Jin Oppa said, signaling me to continue. "I just realized that we never opened the letter from earlier," I said, gesturing towards the rectangular piece of paper laying there. "Should we open it, because it could maybe be a clue on where Yoongi Oppa could be. 'Cause, what normal person knocks on the door, disappears, but leaves a note taped to the door," I said with a hint of sarcasm, just a tinie-tiny bit.
"She's right. This could be a clue from the kidnapper on how to get Yoongi back,"Jin Oppa said. We all sat on the floor surrounding the coffee table - as always. "So, who wants to do the honors?" Jin Oppa said, pointing to the envelope. All eyes turned towards me. "Fine, since you're all looking at me, I'll open it," I said, taking hold of it in my tiny hands and began undoing the glued down flap. When I opened it, I looked at all the boys who were watching my every move. "Ready to see what's inside?" I asked, making sure to make eye contact with everyone. They nod signaling me to continue. I stuck my hand inside the envelope and pulled out a bunch of pictures and another letter. They all looked at me as if urging me to read what the neatly folded piece of paper said. "Read it," Jimin Oppa said, eagerly. I nodded and started unfolding the paper and soon, stared at it with absolute shock and terror in my eyes. I dropped the piece of paper on the table and covered my face, crying, and still in shock. Namjoon Oppa grabbed the piece of paper and read what stood upon the piece of paper out loud.
(Y/n), I see you're past is catching up to you again. That means:
ONE DOWN 6 MORE TO GO.
Good luck, let's hope that you come to your senses before I take more of your precious friends.
M.A
I could feel all the boys' eyes on me and I knew that now was the time to come clean. "What do they mean, (Y/n)?" Jungkook Oppa asked, looking at me with confusion in his eyes. I mustered all the courage I had left in me and wiped the tears off my face. "I never in my life thought that my life would end up like this, where I have this amazing job, met you amazing people like you and all for my past to ruin it all. I never used be this happy actually the opposite..." I said as I got up and made my way over to the window. "What do you mean (Y/n)?" Hoseok Oppa questioned, still confused. "Well, I guess it's story time," I stated, trying to crack a smile.
Yoongi's P.O.V
"Smile for the camera," those asses said, while tossing me on the floor, back in my cell. "Fuck off!" I exclaimed, spitting out the blood from my mouth. "There's no need to be rude," he said, smirking at me and clicking one last picture. Then, they left me there. I tried to stand up, but I was too drained to move even an inch. I just rolled over on my back, looked up at the wall in front of me and there's... a window? How come I didn't notice this earlier? Think I have a plan on how to get out of here.
(Y/n)'s P.O.V
*Flashback*
I was walking my way over to my father's study, since he had summoned me. I know that it sounds weird, but this was completely normal for me when you have a very important father. I also didn't have many people to converse with, because I was an only child.
I was now standing in front of his door. I knocked on the door and heard a muffled come in from the other side. "You summoned me father," I said as I peeped my head in the door. "Ah, yes, my beautiful daughter. Come in, have a seat. I have a few things to discuss with you," he said, gesturing me to have a seat on the couch. While I sat down, I had stared out the window that had a beautiful view of Seoul. And I must say, out of all the rooms in the mansion this was my favorite room just because of the beautiful scenery. "I presume that you know the reasons on why I had called you here," he said, handing me a glass of water. I knew exactly why I was called, but I played dumb as I shook my head. "(Y/n), my daughter, you know that I'm getting older and that one day I won't be able to keep doing what I do. And I was thinking that it is now time for you to take over the family business, my sweet." I always knew that this day would come, but I didn't think so soon. I never wanted to have this life. I never wanted to take over the business, but I was always an obedient daughter and did whatever I was asked. Though, I felt like today, I had to say something. "Father, don't you think I'm a little too young to take over the business, because I have no experience in any of this. Do you really think that you are making the right choice. I know I'm the heir and all, but I feel like this is not for me," I said, the last part barely a whisper. I wanted to know what the look was on my father's face was, but I didn't dare look up.
"My love, I know you're nervous, but you will get the hang of it after a while," My father said rather calm, which shocked me. I didn't show my shock. "Father, you don't understand. I don't want to be the leader of the biggest mafia in Seoul. I just want to be normal. I want a normal life, normal friends and want to go to normal school. But I can't. Father just grant me this one wish. Please, I beg of you," I said as I broke down and sobbed. He walked up to me and bent down to my level, wiped my tears away and said, "I'm sorry my dear, but you have no choice," he said as he straightened up, turned on his heals and made his way back to his desk. "You can go now," he instructed, sitting down. He faced the window, not even sparing me a glance. Before I closed the door, he had said that I have training, as usual, at 10 sharp. I made my way to my room, knowing I have no way out.
Everything went on as per usual that week: my training, homeschooling, etc. But I had devised a plan on how to get out of it all without anybody knowing of my whereabouts. Then, the day came as to when I would set my plan in motion. I was going to runaway from it all - the pain, stress, pressure and expectations. Everything was a success until they found me and tried to get me to come back.
Who wants a 17 year old mafia boss? No one will take me serious and not only that, I'm not made out for the mafia! Sure, I can fight, shoot guns and stuff, but that is only because I was forced. That's not what my passion is. I wanted to work in a big company in the entertainment industry. I finally convinced them and they accepted my decision. They promised never to bother me again. Of course, I have all the memories that can't be removed, but it is all behind me.
*End flashback*
"And that's my story. I know it's a lot to take in and if you guys want nothing to do with me that's also fine. But first we have to find Yoongi Oppa," I said, looking at all of them.
They had sat quietly, looking at me and not saying anything. Even breathing quietly. "Please say something," I said, almost begging. "Wow, that's a lot to take in." Jin Oppa broke the silence. "Yeah, we never expected this," Hoseok Oppa said with a chuckle. "Sorry," I said, looking down as I let a single tear roll down my cheek. Suddenly, I was brought into someone's embrace. I looked up to see me Namjoon Oppa. "Why are you apologizing. It's not your fault. You never wanted any of this to happen; you're just as much of a victim as us," he said, patting my head, which was kind of soothing. "So, you're not mad," I said, breaking the hug. They all smiled at me and shook their heads. I put on a weak smile. "Why would we be mad. It's your past. You didn't need to tell if you didn't want to, but we appreciate that you did," Jin said giving me a hug.
Right, after all, the boys joined in on the hug. "Okay, so enough about me. What was on those pictures that I took out of the envelope?" I asked, eyeing the untouched pictures laying face down on the coffee table. "We don't know. We didn't look at them yet," Tae Oppa answered, picking them up and handing it to me. I flip them over to see a horrific sight: Yoongi Oppa laying in a dungeon like cell. He was chained to a wall full of blood, bruises and cuts. On the back of the last picture it said:
Make your choice quickly, times running out.
TIK TOCK ⏳
"Woah, what should we do?" Jungkook Oppa questioned, shaking my shoulders. "First, we have to calm down," I said removing his hands from my shoulders. "Second, we need to find his location. Jin Oppa, where is the laptop?" I asked, knowing exactly what to do. "In the room, why?" He asked, wearing a confused expression. "I'm going to try and track down Yoongi's location," I say calmly, "You guys might wanna get some snacks, 'cause this might take a while."
