Astrid is a courteous woman who seems polite at first glance.

Actually, screw that.

Astrid is a childish woman who loves to wear unicorn onesies to sleep. She absolutely LOVES Disney and once upon a time. She low-key is a fan of Netflix and Harry Potter. This also makes her a bookworm who loves to watch movies at the same time. One of her favourite things to do is read the book, watch the movie, then compare them both and see which is better.

Despite her childish acts, she is ambitious towards her job as a scientist and loves to talk back with an excellent comeback (sassy is her language number 2). However, her sassy talk irritates her colleagues, who are used to it by now.

Astrid is also a tad flirty and vivacious. Thankfully, these traits of her only regulate when she's partying or at a social gathering. She also has a blood fetish (don't ask). These traits lead up to her being a bit abnormal and peculiar, which she doesn't mind anyone calling her that for she doesn't care what other people think about her.

She also has a protective motherly side towards kids and the people who are trapped in the capsules. She is determined to help them heal through their pain and make them feel whole again. She is actually just a soft-hearted and courageous person inside who just wants to help everyone in the world. She was hired to be a scientist because she graduated quite young and is absolutely intelligent, but that doesn't make her stop from being quite stubborn.

backstory (based on a poem from a book called 'Candid' by QueenMelody16)

Astrid was best friends with the determined scientist when they were eighteen. They did everything together — drink each other's milkshakes, stuff ice-cream onto each other's noses, laugh at their own inside jokes...

The determined scientist one day gave her one of the most precious things anyone can give her according to her: a hoodie in her favourite colour. She treasured it as much as a parent would lovingly treasure their child. Over time, she recently began to develop a crush for him. Unfortunately, she didn't confess out of anxiety and fear of being rejected as well as fear of their friendship being ruined.

All was well.

Until she entered.

Her name was Arden. She was quite amiable at first and had begun to hang out with the determined scientist and Astrid. Although, Astrid knew that Arden and the determined scientist would secretly go to cafés and ice-cream stores together without her. Slowly, Astrid felt herself her replaced. She was gently drifting farther away from her best friend, slipping into the shadows and watching him have a better life without her.

She was now his best friend.

She was now his girlfriend.

Now she was wearing her hoodie in her favourite colour.

It was merely four years later did Astrid never thought she'd see the face of the determined scientist again. And when she did, her heart went rapid and she knew that she had still loved him all this time. Her heart skipped a beat when he complimented her, saying that she was incredibly smart.

Their friendship slowly rebuild — the determined scientist comforted Astrid when her father had passed away from brain cancer, Astrid had gotten the determined scientist the Christmas present he really wanted (a really expensive watch, something he longed for), and of course, they went back to the old times where they would put ice-cream on each other's noses.

Then Arden was infected by the Medusa Affect.

Astrid noticed the determined scientist becoming desperate. He was now so focused on his work, even after they managed to put Arden in the capsule and let her be frozen. Astrid wanted to help in any way she can, and was one of the first scientist to join in order to help find a cure for the Medusa Affect.
