Dad!

"Dad, what are you doing here!" Ava practically screamed out as she looked at the man who had basically ruined her life. He made people hate her and see her as a horrible person because of what he did.

And he made her have to drop everything to take care of her siblings and that even meant sending them away in which she thought was protecting them, but ended up just doing more harm than good for them.

Carlos just stared at his dad as he couldn't believe he was really here right now after abandoning them. Not only did he abandon them, but he gave up all his parental rights 2 years ago when he was only 12 and Mal was 3 weeks old.

Their father had absolutely no rights to be here right now, especially not now that Mal was sick. Ava was doing everything on her own and she was doing a good job at it they didn't need their father to just roll in and act like he cared now when he clearly didn't.

"Yeah dad, you need to go!" Carlos told his father backing Ava up as he hated his father after what he did. The father just sighed as he looked at the sleeping toddler in Ava's arms. "I heard about my baby!" Ava's dad told her as he mentioned to Mal making Ava want to throw up hearing her father call Mal his baby.

Mal was not his baby. He gave up all rights to her before she was even a month old. And he wasn't the one that had to stay with her at the hospital when she first got sick or who had to calm her down when they would give her treatment and he especially wasn't the one that had to try and be strong as the doctors looked her in the eyes and said the words she has Leukemia.

Ava was the one who had to go through all of that with her, not their so-called father who left 2 years ago and gave up all his rights. "How did you find out and don't call her that," Ava told her father as she was upset and she really didn't like that her father was putting Mal's health at risk right now by being here.

Ava has no clue where he has been lately and for all she knows he could be covered in germs that could get Mal more sick.

"Ava I saw the video you posted where you said you were stopping with your YouTube channel because of your sister who you adopted and her diagnosis. You know just because I haven't been here doesn't mean I didn't stop checking up on you. I still watch your channel and I am so proud of you my little dreamer," Ava's dad told her trying to make her give into him, but Ava wasn't falling for it this time and neither were Carlos and Evie who were just watching along with April who wanted to leave, but also didn't.

"You need to leave now!" Ava told her father not even wanting to give his words a chance as she wasn't falling for it this time. Her father had hurt them all way too many times and she wouldn't stand for it anymore.

"Ava I want to be here!" Ava's dad told her making Ava shake her head no again as she felt Mal start to stir, reminding her of why her father really needed to go.

"No you need to go now before you get your dirty germs on Mal. She's not supposed to have many visitors right now and I don't even know where you've been! You're putting her health at risk right now and I won't stand for it now go! Also I don't want you anywhere near my children!" Ava screamed out to her dad as she wanted him to know that she wasn't playing around right now.

Mal was very vulnerable right now and Ava would never be able to live with herself if she let her father get Mal more sick by letting him stay. "Ava, don't be like that. And Mal is my daughter. And Carlos is my son! I have a right to visit my sick daughter in the hospital," Ava's dad told Ava, trying to make her feel guilty for "keeping" him from "his" kids.

"No you don't! And they are not your kids!" Ava cried out as she couldn't believe her father was really trying to do this right now. "Yeah! I am not your son and Mal is not your daughter! Get out of here now!" Carlos screamed out to his dad as like Ava he hated his father too.

He had given them up and made them have to go through hell on their own with no parents to help them. April just watched the two of them fight with their father as she knew she should probably not be listening to this as it sounded personal and private.

"Okay I feel awkward, I should probably go. And Evie don't worry about dancing right now. This is a lot that you're going through. I seriously don't expect you to just get over it all and focus. I wish you well, but I should really go. This seems like something I shouldn't get involved in," April told Evie trying to not be rude to the younger girl, but she just couldn't stand watching this anymore.

It was hurting to see how much pain this father had caused to his own kids. Evie just watched as April started to walk away as she couldn't help it. She didn't really know why, but she didn't want April to leave right now.

April could be strict and scary sometimes, but she was also calming and kinda like a big sister right now and that's what Evie needed as Ava was too busy with Carlos and Mal and defending them against their father that she wasn't really paying attention to Evie like April was.

"No please stay, I want you to. You don't have to do anything, just please stay. I need someone to be here for me right now and Ava is too busy with Carlos and Mal. Please just stay with me," Evie begged April as a few tears started to slip, making April nod as she knew she couldn't just leave Evie like this.

"Okay I will," April told Evie, making her smile a little, but that was interrupted when her father started talking again. "Ava I understand you're upset but we had to leave. And it was better this way. But it's okay. I'm here again and you can have your life back. I'll take Mal and Carlos back with me. They have a great treatment center there," Evie heard her father tell her big sister and Evie could already tell that Ava was gonna lose it.

Evie didn't even blame her if she had been in charge right now she would do the same. This monster didn't deserve to be here right now. "THIS IS MY LIFE NOW! MAL IS MY BABY! CARLOS MAY BE MY LITTLE BROTHER BUT HE'S MY BABY TOO! AND WE HAVE THE BEST TREATMENT HERE ALREADY! YOU ARE NOT TAKING MY BABIES FROM ME!" Ava screamed out as she was sick of it.

Ava was the one that was put in charge when her parents just ditched them and she's the one that is on their legal papers not their so-called dead beat parents and now her father is just trying to come back to take them from her just because he knows he can use Mal as sympathy.

Mal was not just some charity case that her dad could use to gain sympathy from. She is her little girl and she won't let her father do that to her. Mal deserves to have as much of a normal childhood as she can get.

"Yeah Ava is right! We are not going with you!" Carlos screamed out backing up his big sister who nodded again. "AND EVIE ISN'T EITHER!" Ava told her father when she remembered that Evie was part of the family too and technically his "daughter" as well even though he gave her up at birth.

Their dad just looked at Ava in confusion as he was trying to remember who Evie was as it had been so long. "Evie?" The dead beat dad asked in confusion, making Evie roll her eyes as she decided she was done just sitting back and watching.

"Hi dad," Evie told her father sarcastically, making him immediately get a look of panic as he realized who Evie was as soon as he saw that she looked like Ava but younger. "Oh my look at you! You're so grown up now!" Ava's dad told Evie trying to act as though he hadn't given Evie up for adoption and basically abandoned her at birth.

"Save it! You gave me up! I had to live with an abusive foster mom for 15 years! And I spent most of that time trying to find my real family again! How could you do that to a child! Do you know what it was like to know that your parents didn't want you and then when I did find them to see that it was just you because they kept their other 3 kids! Including your twin brother! I missed out on growing up with a big sister and a twin brother. And I missed out on getting to have a baby sister! And now I may never get to really know my baby sister because she's sick and I wasn't even there for two whole years of her life! I hate you and I can't believe you would do that to your own child!" Evie sobbed out as she couldn't help it.

She had been feeling this way for a while now ever since she had found her birth family and realized that she was the only one that was chosen to not be kept. It made her feel like she wasn't good enough that she was chosen to be given up.

Ava carefully adjusted Mal as she pulled Evie close to her and just let her cry on her as she tried to comfort her upset sister and Carlos tried to do the same. April was going to but figured she should let the siblings have their family moment.

"Evie you have to understand. Times were hard. We had a little girl already and we just couldn't handle taking care of three young kids at the same time. That's why we also gave up Ava's twin as well," Ava's dad told Evie trying to make her feel better but it just made things worse as they realized what he was saying.

"MY WHAT!" Ava screamed out in shock and anger as she couldn't believe her parents did this again. "Your twin sister. Apparently twins run in the family," Ava's dad jokingly told her as if what he just said wasn't a big deal or life changing news at all.

"I HAVE A TWIN SISTER!" Ava cried out again as she was still in complete shock by it all. "Ava," Ava's dad tried to call out but Ava wasn't having it. "DON'T! IT'S APRIL ISN'T IT!" Ava screamed out to her father causing Mal to wake up as she started crying.

"Mama I no few goow!" The small toddler cried out causing Ava to snap out of her ranting as she gave Mal a small sad smile. "Aw I know sweetie," Ava told the toddler in her gentle voice as she tried to calm her down, but when she realized it wasn't working because Mal was still crying she looked at her dad getting angry again.

"Look dad seriously just leave! We don't need you! And I want an answer! It's April isn't it!" Ava told her father as she was officially done with her father for good after this, but she did want an answer first.
