Eating Together at the Dining Hall
"I don't need a tour... I can figure it out." Hope was fine with being alone. She was used to it, and she definitely wasn't ready to hang out with the daughters of her father's ex.
"Dad left us very clear instructions. Besides, what's the harm, Hope? Show the world that a Mikaelson can make friends," Lizzie replied.
Lizzie hooked on to Hope's elbow and dragged her along, and Josie followed close behind.
"So... you're like a tribrid right? That's so cool! I wish I was like you, but like without the psycho dad part I guess."
"Lizzie! Don't say that." Josie hissed.
"It's fine" Hope turned back to smile at Josie. Josie took a step back, stunned by her smile.
Confused, Hope checked her teeth to see if something was there that would make Josie react like that. Not noticing anything, she turned back again and this time Josie smiled politely.
She's kind of cute... Hope thought.
Lizzie interrupted that thought. "This is the dining hall. Typically different species sit together. You're a tribrid though, so I'm not sure where you will sit."
"You could sit with us!" Josie blurted out.
"Thanks, but I'd rather sit alone."
Lizzie rolled her eyes. "Yeah right, we will sit with you today."
At the dining hall, people keep giving Hope weird looks as she fills a bowl of cereal. Then sits next to Josie, who shifts away from her a little bit.
"So... what made you decide to come to this school?" Lizzie asked.
"I didn't really have a choice. My mom thought I would be safer here"
Josie continued, "I'm sure you will have a good time here. This is one of the best boarding schools for magic in the world!"
Suddenly, a werewolf boy came up to them. "Lizzie, can we talk?"
"What now Jed? We broke up, there's nothing more to talk about."
"It's important. I know about you and Payton."
Lizzie sighed and followed Jed away.
"So.. it's just us, huh?" Hope grinned at Josie.
"I- I guess, yeah."
"So what's going on between Lizzie and Jed."
"Just some dumb drama between them. Lizzie broke up with him yesterday because she's started liking a new guy."
"Don't tell me you haven't had any boy drama. Every guy must be wanting your attention."
"Girl drama, actually." Josie kind of half-smiled.
"Who's the girl?" Hope leaned in, interested to know more about Josie.
"Her name's Penelope. It doesn't really matter. She keeps telling everyone that I have a crush on her, but I don't. At least, I don't know yet, it's complicated."
"She probably has a crush on you."
"I don't know..."
Question: Lizzie or Josie?
