"Don't you want to stay with us?" he asks, something sinister to his words, eyes flickering between brown and black as she steps away from him, shaking her head in denial.

"I don't even know you anymore," she manages to say, fear hidden behind her words.

He smiles, sharp teeth flashing in the dim light and her stomach drops.

"Who you knew was a shell of what I once was," he tells her nearly purring with happiness at the fear dancing in the air.

"With your soul, I will walk earth once more."
