"You have to get it before the others do!" My mother says in her almost raspy voice.
I slowly walk out of the room as the doctor goes in and gives her an injection. He comes back out and I start walking with him.
"I'm sorry Lyla, I'm afraid I don't have a good news for you" he says.
"I know Dr. Baker, she still keeps telling me that there's a devil who is poisoning the angel and that I have to get a drop of life to save the angel" I sigh.
"Don't worry, that's only the cancer playing with her mind. And don't forget to take your daily dose of that anti bacterial injection." He says and calls the nurse.
She comes with a syringe and injects me with it.
"So how many injections is she gonna get" I ask holding the cotton swab over my wounds.
"We give your mom about five daily and we're hoping to bring it down to three" he says.
"Thank you doctor" I say and go home.
The whole night I spend trying to figure out my dying mother's story that she's made up.
She keeps repeating, over and over, that there's an angel who's being poisoned by the devil and I have to save  the angel by giving her the drop of life.
I fall asleep and the next day I wake up and leave for the hospital to visit my mom once before going to work.
As I reach the hospital, I see police cars outside of it and I rush inside.
I see a couple of policemen handcuffing  Dr. Baker, I walk up to them.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"Madam! This man created a virus which could kill a person from inside and the person won't even know it. He's been giving it to someone on a daily basis. This is the antidote for it" A policeman says and shows me a little vial.
I get it from him and rush to my mother.
I quickly open her mouth and empty the liquid into it.
"It's okay mom! You were right! Dr. Baker was the devil. But don't worry I gave you the drop of life now!" I say to her. But strangely she bursts into tears.
"Oh no! Lyla! I never said I was the angel!" She says.
Suddenly I feel a pang in my chest as I fall to the floor, my life draining away from me.
