What made me special

Allam and Aloy had been in the desert for a day. Tomorrow morning, the two of them would infiltrate Sunfall and enter the Zero Dawn facility in one shot. It was 8 in the morning and our protagonists had just woken up.

Both lovers were eating breakfast in silence, enjoying each other's company. Aloy glanced at her boyfriend and noticed that he had the same serious expression since he talked to Sylens. She was worried, since he hadn't talked much in the last few hours, and he was lost in his own thoughts.

Aloy: Hey Al, are you okay? -The redhead asked the soldier, who just nodded.

Allam: Eh... yes, yes... I'm fine, when you're by my side -said the soldier jokingly to calm his girlfriend.

Aloy: Are you sure? Ever since you fought with Sylens you have been very distracted and hardly speak. You have me worried -said the redhead sitting next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Aloy: Come on, you can tell me anything -said the huntress with a smile to reassure him.

Allam sighed and lowered his head.

Allam: Do you... Do you think I'm the same as Sylens? -the man asked the redhead, who looked at him with confusion.

Aloy: No, never in a million years. Why do you say that? -asked the hunter.

Allam: Well... in a way he is right, in his twisted way of seeing things. I do the things that I think are right and I do them my way, without thinking about the consequences of whom it affects -he told the woman, she put her hands on his face and made him look into her eyes.

Aloy: Allam...you and him are not the same, in anything. You are a caring person who cares about others, you care about your family, and you care about me. It's true that there are times when you do or say stupid things when you shouldn't, but you're a person and it's okay to fail in certain things, we're not perfect -said the woman with a smile, the dark-haired man smiled a little and she kissed him on the forehead.

Allam: Thank you...I needed to hear that -said the soldier, in a better mood.

Aloy, seeing that his boyfriend was in a better mood, decided to ask him a couple of questions that have turned her mind upside down.

Aloy: Hey Allam, what were you and Sylens talking about the other night, something about flags, symbols and morals? -the huntress asked her boyfriend.

Allam sighed and scratched the back of his neck.

Allam: To be honest...I'm not really sure how we ended up talking about it. He said that I had the flag of the old world controlling me and that my sense of morals was outdated or at least, I disguised my actions with morals... And when he started talking about paths and messages, that's where he lost me. Why does he care if we meet again? He's just a sociopath who's obsessed with history and I'm just a soldier trapped in time... being chased by a machine that wants codes that only God knows what they're for -said the soldier, letting go of everything he had in mind and even more; and Aloy knew it, the box had been uncovered and all the feelings that Allam had bottled up will come out.

Allam sighed.

Allam: Sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision, you know? If I should have refused to sign the paper and died fighting with my compatriots...but another part of me tells me that it was good that I didn't, because if not, I wouldn't have met you and my sisters would be the ones who have to go through all this chaos -said the soldier sadly as he remembered his dead relatives and friends.

Allam: I don't even know how or where my mother died, I don't even know where her body is... my unit is dead somewhere in the Grave-hoard, buried under all that ice and rusty metal -said the soldier letting out a small tear, Aloy approached him and gave him a hug, to comfort him.

Allam: Since I woke up...day and night I have thought about where my mother would be resting...I have had panic attacks and I only calm down when you are near...I've tried to calm them myself...but it feels impossible -said the soldier crying silently.

Aloy was sorry to see him like this, but she had to stay strong, for his sake.

Allam: If only I would remember what the fuck Zero Dawn was, maybe none of this would have happened, we wouldn't have to deal with Sylens, or the Eclipse, or that fucking Hades... Why the fuck can't I remember? -said the soldier as he clutched his head and wept silently. Aloy kept hugging him and giving him little kisses on the head to calm him down.

Aloy: Shhhh, that's it...let it all out my love, you don't have to bottle anything else...I'm here for you...always -the redhead told the soldier with a loving and calm tone, while rocking him in a tight hug.

After half an hour, Allam had calmed down and collected himself. He washed his face and blew his nose.

Allam: Thank you Aloy, I needed it -said the soldier while he wiped his face.

Aloy: I'm here for you always Al, never hesitate to tell me anything -said the Nora huntress with a smile.

Allam smiled and began to pack his things. Aloy was watching him pack and noticed that his hair was longer, and she called out to him.

Aloy: Allam, can you come here real quick? -the redhead called him and the soldier went there.

Allam: Yes? -replied the soldier.

Aloy: Do you want me to cut your hair? It's a bit long -said the redhead with a smile as she scratched her boyfriend's head, taking Allam by surprise.

Allam grabbed his helmet and with the reflection of his visor he could more or less see that in truth, he had somewhat long hair on the sides.

Allam: Yes of course, why not -said the soldier and he sat down in front of Aloy. The redhead found a rock to sit on and with a knife she began to cut Allam's hair, leaving the sides trimmed and the top even cut it a little so it wouldn't look disproportionate on the sides.

Aloy: You look more handsome now -said the hunter proud of her work.

Allam: Thank you Aloy, you are the best girlfriend in the world -said the soldier, giving her a smile.

Aloy: I know, she said putting her hands on her waist, earning a laugh from Allam.

With new spirits and in a better mood, our protagonists continued on their way to Sunfall.

1 day later...

Allam Pov

So that must be Sunfall, the capital of the Eclipse. The place wasn't imposing like Meridian. It was much smaller, about the size of the Palace of the Sun. But it was an architectural work of tremendous beauty.

Sylens: Sunfall, the summer palace of the former Sun King Jiran the Mad. The magnificence of Carja architecture against the Forbidden West -said the pain in my ass, but he mentioned something about the West, why is it forbidden?

Aloy: Thanks for the history lesson Sylens - my girlfriend said sarcastically, heh, I think I'm influencing her too much.

Sylens: If only they knew what's under their feet -commented the man.

Me: Well, they better not know, it makes our lives easier -I said curtly, I really don't want to talk to this guy.

We leave our mounts hidden and start walking towards the Citadel. Aloy and I had our ponchos and hoods on to protect our identity. At the front of the settlement was what appeared to be a refugee camp.

The people looked sick and hungry, the children...they looked very thin. Aloy took my hand and I knew she wasn't liking the sight.

Me: The war has hit them hard... Does Avad know what is happening here? -I said quietly as we walked through the tents.

It hurt Aloy to see people like this, it broke her soul. Hungry and sick. We heard the cry of a woman in the distance and we saw that they were crying in front of what seemed to be a small grave...it was not necessary to explain to whom it belonged.

We went deeper into the camp and saw that to one side there was a Krestel training a group of refugees, but they looked tired, hungry and even delusional.

Krestel: Come on rascals, my grandmother on her deathbed can go faster than you -the man said as the refugees tried to follow the training.

I don't like any of this, I bet those refugees don't even want to fight. That means that their numbers are numbered or that they are at the point where they don't care about anything or anyone, other than power.

We kept walking through the settlement until we saw some big stairs and started to climb them. We begin to hear cries of euphoria and sounds of a large machine.

We got to a balcony and saw a big battle arena, where there were three guys fighting what seemed to be a mechanical rhinoceros. What stood out the most in the arena was the large cage that was suspended in the air on cables.

Both of us staring in amazement at the large structure, Sylens appeared, to explain again.

Sylens: The Coliseum of the Sun, a beloved activity of the Carja culture. If you guys get caught by the Eclipses, you'll be lucky if you get thrown in there -explained the man.

Me: They remind me of the Roman Empire, they also loved the battles in Colosseums. They were also imperialists and conquerors, like the Carjas -I commented as I watched the machine fight with the men.

Aloy: What is a Roman? -asked my favorite redhead.

Me: A Roman was what the citizens of the Roman Empire were called. Said Empire existed almost 3500 years ago, they had already passed into history by the time I was born -I explained to her, to which she nodded in surprise.

Me: I hope you liked the ancient history lesson Sylens, take advantage of them while you can -I told the man, but I didn't get any response from him, but I knew very well that he had heard me.

We kept walking and arrived at the entrance of the palace, the guards ignored us.

Sylens: I see that taking down the connection was helpful. Allam and Aloy, welcome to the Citadel -said the man as we walked through the place.

We saw a group of people enter the palace and decided to follow them. We got to the throne room, but whoever was sitting there was...a boy?

A man in black robes, similar to ones I saw in Meridian at Avad's palace, appeared alongside two Krestels. I heard someone call him "Bahavas" or something like that.

Bahavas: For the glory of the revealed Shadow. Rejoice in the presence of Itamen the Radiant, the only true Sun King. The light in the shadow, whose light is will and law -said the man presenting the little boy, along with his mother. The boy got up and you could tell he was a little nervous or rather... terrified.

Itamen: I ordered Bahavas the Resplendent to speak on my behalf -said the boy and to tell the truth, I felt sorry for the little boy.

The man knelt down and began to speak, but I wasn't paying attention to him, but to the little boy, who quickly went to hug his mother in terror.

Me: He's just a kid...bastards, all of them -I said quietly with anger

Aloy looked uncomfortable too about the situation with the little boy. If there was one thing I hated, it's when kids get caught up in adult things. The last time I had to see a child getting into adult things was with my sisters, when they started working with the guerrillas and the army in the war.

??: They look more like prisoners than royalty, don't they? -said a female voice next to me. The woman had brown skin and she wore purple clothes with a veil of the same color. Her clothes made her voluptuous body stand out more.

??: I love your muscles, they look so big and juicy, are they real or porcelain? If I touch them, they won't break, right? You look like you can give a mean beatdown -she said seductively as she looked me up and down. Aloy heard that and she wasn't very comfortable, but she stood her ground so as not to draw attention to herself.

I love your hair, very wild -the stranger told Aloy. She moved from my side and stood next to Aloy.

??: I have something to talk to you about, little huntress -said the girl to Aloy, she already knew that she was listening.

??: I'll be near the green tent in the refugee camp... We both know you're not a mercenary, girl -said the girl as she got closer to Aloy, invading her personal space. I felt like jealousy wanted to come out again...

Really Blake? Jealousy over a woman? Goddammit, I have to stop being so insecure.

Aloy: We're busy -said the redhead referring to the two of us, which brought a smile to my face.

??: Uthid is innocent and it's only a matter of time before they find him. You know where I'll be if you want to help me -said the dark-haired woman and then passed by my side.

??: I hope to see you there too precious. It would be a shame if only the redhead was there -she said with a smile as she caressed my cheek.

I swore I could feel Aloy throwing daggers at the girl with her eyes, and one or two at me. Bahavas stopped talking and everyone went to do their own thing, probably to hunt down that Uthid that that strange woman told us about.

Me: There are weird people here, right? Come on -I said to Aloy, but she didn't look very happy, I could tell that she was...jealous, could I say?

Aloy: Yeah...very weird and having trouble controlling her hands -said the huntress and I swore she could see a little blush on her cheeks. Aloy jealous? This was a gold mine of cuteness.

Sylens's voice made an appearance.

Sylens: That entrance I told you about...it's in the back. Don't worry about the Krestels, they're too busy pretending to be important to pay attention to them -explained the man.

We went out to the balcony and I could see where the entrance to the place was. It was a few floors below, nothing I can't jump over. I picked up Aloy bridal style and launched myself into the void. We fell safe and sound and I lowered it. The "entrance" was an old elevator, but it was boarded up with wood.

Aloy: Have you been here before? -the redhead asked the man.

Sylens: Obviously. Listen carefully to what I am going to tell you, when you enter through that door, you must have commitment and concentration. If there is something you want to do, it is time to do it now, because as long as you are in there, I will not tolerate complaints, have I been clear? -The man said in an authoritative tone, but Aloy wasn't going to keep quiet.

Aloy: You'll get what I give you, Sylens, no one asked you to come -said the huntress as she used her spear to open the door.

When we opened the door we saw a rope that led to the bottom. I let Aloy go down first and when she was already at the bottom, I started to go down and after a few meters I dropped and landed on the cold metal floor and in front of us, there was the big door.

Sylens: I spent my whole life trying to figure out the secrets of this world, the origin of the machines, what happened to the Old Ones and how they disappeared. Year after year, decade after decade I failed. But one day a huntress of the Nora appeared and all the dark secrets of the Earth were within her reach. From discovering the origin of the war machines to finding a living Old One - Sylens monologued as we approached the door.

System: Please wait for identification -the security system said.

The scanner scanned Aloy and I saw that the numbers said 97.63% and I saw Aunt Eli's profile picture, but...how?! That's impossible, she shouldn't be compatible with anyone there, much less with her!

System: Genetic Profile completed. Access authorized -said the synthetic voice of the system. I was surprised, it's something that should be impossible...how is this possible?

Suddenly the door emitted a red light, indicating a problem. Maybe that was...a mistake.

System: Malfunction -the synthetic voice said.

Aloy: It has to be a joke -said the redhead in disbelief.

Sylens: You don't hear me laughing, the man said sarcastically.

Aloy: Shut up! -The redhead shouted annoyed.

Aloy: Hey, Elizabeth Sobeck here, I needed to go in -said the redhead and the door answered her

System: Access request recognized. Available root commands...Do you want to continue? -Said the voice, Aloy began to bang on the door desperately.

Aloy: Yes, open the stupid door -she said.

I was confused and lost in my world. How the hell can the system say that Aloy and Aunt Eli are compatible, it's just...it's impossible, there's no way. She died a millennium ago, it's impossible for the stupid machine to say that they are the same person.

The door finally began to open and a large draft came out of it, in turn the ventilation hatch blew air out.

Aloy: I see that you can't have everything in life -she said, knowing that at any moment the Eclipse would notice our presence.

I was still in shock, but because of that vent, you don't have to be a scientist to know that would draw attention.

Me: There are so many things we need to investigate, we better move, we don't have much time -I said as we entered the place.

A voice welcomed us to Zero Dawn, we were at the reception.

Aloy: What was this place? -she said scanning everything she could.

Me: The reception, there's probably a waiting room up ahead -I said to the redhead as we kept walking.

I opened the door and as she had said, we were in the waiting room. I opened the other door, and we entered a holographic theater.

Aloy: What is this place? -she asked me curiously.

Me: It's a holographic theater, do you remember the movie I showed you a few weeks ago? Well, it serves the same purpose, more or less -I explained to her, who nodded.

The hologram started and I saw the Chief of Staff, General Herres. Out of habit I saluted, but quickly stopped doing so, which confused Aloy.

The hologram welcomed us, and the flags and stars of the Old United States of America began to appear.

Aloy: The flag of the old world -said the redhead looking at the flag and then looking at me.

Herres began to explain what Operation: Enduring Victory was and about the reproduction of the Faro robots. Images of the war began to be shown, images that Aloy saw with amazement and terror. She looked at me and swore that she could feel the pain, that she had me.

Aloy: It was hell -the huntress said quietly as she watched the destruction the Corruptors and Kopesh caused. But at

Once, I saw the confusion on her face.

I hadn't noticed when the hologram had ended...I just know that it was wandering in my memories, in the months of fighting the Faro Plague. At the same time, I wondered how Aloy could get in without being Aunt Eli. Aloy moved me and took me out of my thoughts, and we continue walking, we open another door, and we see Eclipse soldiers, who entered through the ventilation ducts.

I grabbed my rifle and put it on semi-automatic and fired accurate headshots, killing all the soldiers. Aloy looked at me with surprise, since I had not used my rifle for a long time and with the speed and certainty of the shots.

Me: I don't need to fight them...I need answers -I said as I started to walk around the room, checking that no one else was left.

We went into another room, and it was another hologram. This time it was from Aunt Eli.

Aloy: Elizabeth Sobeck -said Aloy looking at the red-haired woman.

Now that I look at it, Aloy and Aunt Eli look alike...take a couple of years off and grow her hair out and they would look the same. The color of the eyes, the hair, the freckles... all this is very strange.

Elizabeth: I imagine you already know the bad news, but what if I tell you that life does not have to end there, what if there is an opportunity for the future -said the woman while the hologram manifested a green ball.

Even the voice was almost the same, a little deeper due to age, but it was almost the same. I'm starting to believe that Aloy is a clone of Aunt Eli; It sounds impossible and far-fetched, but there is no logical explanation for this. And if so, just get the idea that I've been making out with Aunt Eli...it wasn't that bad to tell the truth...I remember when I was a teenager, I had a huge crush on her....I wonder why.

Elizabeth: The Zero Dawn project is an AI called GAIA -said the hologram of the redhead and that sentence was the one that uncovered everything.

I felt a strong headache and began to remember everything. The talk about Zero Dawn, her goal and what little she had mentioned to me about the subfunctions, the cryogenic facility, and my last goodbye with Aunt Eli and my mother.

When I came back to me, I was leaning against the wall while on the ground. Aloy was in front of me and worried.

Me: Shit... I remember everything Aloy, I already remember what it was, Zero Dawn -I said to her with a wide smile, while I got up.

Aloy: I'm glad Al, but Elizabeth's hologram already explained that it was a machine -the hunter replied with some sadness.

Sylens: That means, you're late -the man commented through my Focus.

Me: Shut your mouth, you cheap ass whore, I hope you take out a notebook because now you are going to take a class from an ancient man obsessed with history -I said to Sylens with a smile, I was happy, I had recovered my memories!

Me: What you don't know is that the functions are named after Gods of Greek mythology. So that you understand me, the Greeks were an ancient civilization back in the second century. But what does that have to do with functions? You may wonder, well, it has to do with everything, damn it. The names of each sub-function reveal what they do -I said excitedly and with a wide smile, I feel as if I had uncovered the biggest secret in the world.

Aloy was happy to see me so excited and I was betting Sylens was writing everything down in some notebook like a kid taking dictation.

Me: For example: Hephaestus was the God of metalwork, fire and forges, no wonder he was the one who helped GAIA create machines, Demeter was the Goddess of the harvest, therefore she reintroduced plants to the earth and Poseidon was the God of the seas, because he was the one who was going to clean the seas with the machines that Hephaestus created -I said explaining each God, Aloy was surprised by the great amount of emotion that I had. It was the first time she had seen me so excited.

Aloy: Allam, love, this is all very interesting and we can talk about all that another day, but do you know why Hades wants to kill us and what happened to Apollo? the redhead asked me sadly and she was right, we have time at stake.

Me: Sure, look, Hades is the God of death in Greek mythology, I don't know why the hell they added him to GAIA, I don't know why he wants you dead and I don't know what codes he wants from me, but I have a theory about why they introduced him into the system, while Apollo is the God of philosophy and knowledge, but where he is and how do we get to him? I have no fucking idea, but that explains why the world is in the Stone Age or at least, in the Ancient Age, besides, GAIA made the machines to clean the earth, so something had to happen for the machines to become aggressive, which I don't know why- I answered her, Aloy just nodded.

Sylens: Wao...appreciated the large amount of information, but maybe we can find more information if we go ahead-said the man and I think he was even surprised by everything said.

Aloy opened the door and we saw Eclipse troopers, so we took cover.

Aloy: Up there, that's where GAIA must be -said the woman pointing to the second floor.

Sylens: Don't come into contact with them! -the man ordered to deaf ears.

Me: I'm sorry to inform you, lameass, that nobody pays attention to you, so sit down, have a coconut water and shut your mouth -I said while preparing an incendiary bomb in my grenade launcher.

Sylens: What is a coconut? -asked the confused man.

Me: It's a round, brown, hairy fruit with water in it and it has a white mass inside it -I said as I fired the bomb, setting all Eclipses in the area on fire.

Sylens: Damn idiot, you're talking about a testicle -said the annoyed man.

Me: Don't be an idiot, it's a real fucking fruit, but you came to think that I'm talking about testicles, I think I shouldn't be surprised -I said while shooting at the archers who were on the second floor.

Aloy: Are you seriously arguing about bullshit right now? We have work to do, concentrate Allam -the huntress reproached me while she shot a fire arrow.

Me: Alright, alright, I'm sorry -I answered the redhead embarrassed.

Sylens: You're not so macho now, right? -She told me in a mocking tone, that bald bastard.

Me: At least I have someone who loves me, not like you, who only have your hand as a company -I insulted him back.

Aloy rolled her eyes and kept firing, until the last one finally fell.

We tried to access Aunt Eli's office, but the door had no power and was sealed with stalactites, but the other door was open, so we'll have to take the long way.

We continued to go deeper into the facilities and looked at the holograms that explained each sub-function of GAIA. We killed the Eclipse that were in the way, without mercy. Now we were at Apollo.

Sylens: The greatest gift of your civilization is lost -the man told me and to tell the truth, I couldn't agree more.

Aloy: And how about the fact that we're here now? Wasn't that their greatest gift? -said the redhead.

Sylens: Living in ignorance is a curse, of all, you must be the one who would understand it best -the man replied to her.

Me: Those who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it...my history teacher used to say that...both of you are right, it's thanks to us that you are here, but at the same time without Apollo, you live in ignorance and you repeat our same mistakes -I said to both of them, I could say that I took both of them by surprise, since they have never heard me agree with both of them.

We kept walking until we finally found the one we cared about, HADES.

Travis: Welcome to HADES, the ultimate killer app -introduce the man, blond with a topknot.

Aloy: He looks like you -she commented to the air.

Travis: Now, why build a killer subfunction if GAIA's goal is to restore life to Earth? It's crazy, right? Well, rebuilding a biosphere is not an easy task and the chances of it coming out the first time are not that great. Imagine that you are GAIA and that in 200 years you make a biosphere, but the oxygen levels are not correct, the earth is infertile and there are mega storms that would drown Noah's ark seven times. Do you expect to dump Phase 1 organisms in that mess? Hell nah man. If the process goes wrong, GAIA will step aside and HADES will destroy the planet again with the Faro Plague and...drum roll please -explained the man while a sound of drums resounded.

Travis: The remaining nuclear arsenal of the United States, since the other countries were so stupid that, somehow, they used up their entire arsenal and brought us closer to extinction faster, what an ingenious move -said the man with some sarcasm, which left me surprised and at the same time terrified.

We kept going deeper into the ruins and I was still amazed... Hades had control over the nukes, I wondered why he hasn't used them yet.

Sylens: Hey, are you okay? You haven't said anything since we found out what Hades was -asked the man...nobody should know about the destructive power of nuclear weapons...nobody should unearth the greatest sin of human civilization.

Allam: Nothing, I'm just thinking-I replied curtly.

We arrived at the Eleuthia development site, where they began to explain the "Queen" subrole of GAIA...the one that brought human life back to Earth. We kept walking and Aloy mentioned something of interest.

Aloy: The nurseries, Elizabeth mentioned before that the new generations of humans would come from there...would one be found in the Mountain of All Mother?- Aloy commented to me, but I looked at her strangely, mountain of all what?

Sylens: There is only one way to find out -replied the bald man

Aloy: The door wouldn't open...I mentioned something...about a corrupted Alpha Record or something -she explained.

Me: There are chances of finding the record in Aunt Eli's office -I commented to her, she looked at me surprised and I just nodded.

She scanned an AV port and a hologram of Aunt Eli talking to a ball of yellow energy was presented...that was GAIA.

It had been a long time since she had seen her, she looked the same as how I remember her. After the recording Aloy scanned another one and apparently it was before GAIA was moved to a "Prime" site. Aunt Eli looked...stressed.

Elizabeth: What if GAIA doesn't work? What if all this was just a big waste of time? -She said to the AI

GAIA: Elizabeth, thanks to you there is a future for humanity...everyone trusts you...I trust you, Lenora trusts you, Allam trusts you, Janet and Sarah trust you -said the AI, surprising me and Aloy.

Elizabeth: Do you think so? -asked the redhead, to which the AI nodded.

The recording ended and we continued towards the office. If GAIA knows about me...it's because Aunt Eli told her about me, but why?

We saw the door to the office and I opened it wide with the help of the exo force.

We entered the office and saw the terminal with the Alpha Record.

Me: It's intact-I said with a smile.

Aloy started to download the Registry, she and Sylens started arguing, while I started to investigate the area, I saw an IMirror, a device to record messages.

I scanned it and saw that there was a large file with several videos, what caught my attention was the name of the file.

Me: Blake? -I said, I started to download the file, while I was downloading it, I started to play the first video, titled "You guys made it"

An image of a smiling Aunt Eli appeared.

Elizabeth: Hello, if you are seeing this it is because you made it and survived the cryogenic process and GAIA did its job, I hope the new humans have treated you well. You don't know how happy I am, although I'll never know if the three of you are together or if there's just one. I have a few things to tell you, within this archive there are several videos that are specifically dedicated to you, just search for your name and it will be there. There are two videos per person, one of me and one of Lenora. Allam...if you survived it is imperative that you see my video and if not, then one of your sisters has to see it. I love you guys -said the woman. She and my mother left videos for us.

I opened the file that said "Allam", and Aunt Eli's hologram reappeared.

Elizabeth: Hi Allam, I hope you're alright honey...you had a long lethargy, didn't you?...God I'm not good at goodbyes. I still remember when you were a little boy and you loved to play in my laboratory when you and Lenora came to visit me, seeing you become such a big, strong and brave man... a full-fledged man, I was proud of you and I follow you standing to this day. You joined the Army and battled against Ted's spawn, like a hero... I still remember when you were 6 and you loved saying you were going to be a scientist, but in the end you decided on another path my boy. Remember when you turned 18 and you had gotten drunk and you had proposed to me, I was so embarrassed and your mom followed your game, I swear I almost killed Lenora for doing that -the hologram counted with a smile between laughs, making me smile also when remembering my birthday. I spent a whole month apologizing to her for that...it was a nice memory now that I think about it

Elizabeth: I know you have a lot of questions and it's time for me to explain it all to you. I don't even know where to start though. As you should have learned, the heads of the Zero Dawn Project had the rank of Alphas, well, you and your sisters are Alphas too, and have access to all facilities that have to do with GAIA, but only you can access any military installation of your pleasure -explained the hologram, which left me surprised and answered the question of why HADES refers to me as Alpha, but why can I only enter military facilities?

Elizabeth: When we put you on the ice, I asked Herres for several favors before he died, one of them being that they make you Chief of Staff...officially you are General Allam James Blake, Chief of Staff of the former United States of America. You are perhaps the youngest general in American history. Now... you will wonder why we made you an Alpha and General... Allam I will need you to sit down because what I am going to tell you may be very heavy and you may not take it very well at first -she told me through recording, I felt my heart beating a thousand miles an hour.

Elizabeth: You have control of the nuclear weapons of the United States, the entire American nuclear arsenal is in your hands... you are the most powerful and dangerous man in the world -said the recording and that made me almost faint, no I couldn't believe it...the words wouldn't come out of my mouth, the only question I had in my mind was a simple why?

Elizabeth: As you may know, Hades has control of the weapons, but if all goes well and GAIA builds a habitable biosphere, control of the weapons will pass from Hades to you. The silos have a biological control that only you can open, neither GAIA nor anyone else can open them. Do you remember when we met in Colorado Springs, and I asked you to freeze yourself? Well, that was the main reason why I asked you to be cryogenized, you are a good soldier, a good leader and a magnificent man, there is no one else to whom I would entrust something as big and serious as this... I am sorry to have to put this burden on your shoulders Allam...I love you very much and I hope you forgive me for putting this heavy burden on you...Lenora what are you doing here? -said the woman but another voice began to be heard behind her.

Mom: Are you making your video for Allam? -asked the woman to which she nodded. My mother appeared on the screen with a smile.

Mom: Hi honey, I hope you saw my video first! You know that a few days ago Eli and I had some drinks and she told me that if she were younger she would have gotten together with you -my mother said, embarrassing my aunt, who had a big blush. I just limited myself to giving a small laugh. If only she knew.

The recording was over. This was...Wow...just Wow. There were no words to describe what I had heard...I had nuclear power in the palm of my hand? That's why Hades is looking for me... he wants me to access the nuclear network and unleash the nuclear holocaust and activate the Faro Plague.

An explosion sent me flying and hit a wall on the head, leaving me with a concussion and felt like something was coming down behind my head. I touched the back and saw that it was blood.

I got up and tried to look for Aloy, I saw her across the room lying on the floor. An Eclipse trooper was going to close in on her, but I grabbed him from behind her and threw him to the ground, then started punching him in the face with all my might.

Me: Get away from her! -shouted killing the soldier.

Aloy POV

I was trying to stay conscious... but it was difficult for me, the shock wave had left me stunned.

I saw that another Eclipse entered the room and Allam with his blade killed him, but Helis came from behind him and stabbed him with his sword.

My eyes widened and I screamed.

Me: No! -I said with watery eyes, full of fury, but I still couldn't move.

The man took out his saber and threw Allam's body, falling next to me, inert. Helis came and with a wicked smile hit me in the face, knocking me out, Allam's limp body next to me was the last thing I saw.
