Allam Pov

Aloy and I were running towards Avad's palace. The sun had not yet risen, so I could deduce that it was 5 in the morning. In the distance you could see the red lights of the machines.

We reached the inner courtyard of the palace and there we saw Avad, who was looking at the cliff where the machines were.

Avad: Aloy, Allam, I'm glad you made it. Are those camps? -asked the worried tycoon.

Me: As if we would know. But I'm pretty sure those aren't campfires -I told the man with some sarcasm.

We heard another tremendous explosion and we saw that a huge explosion destroyed a cliff. Beetles and Kopesh began to emerge from it, along with hundreds of Eclipse troopers.

Me: To arms! Now! -I shouted commanding the guards, but they were looking stupid at the great show of power of the Eclipse.

Avad: Do what he says! -the King ordered his subjects, and they ran terrified to take the Oseram cannons.

Avad: Do you think that the cannons are useful against those machines? -Asked the King with concern in his voice.

Aloy: There's only one way to find out -said the woman mentally preparing herself for the battle.

Another explosion was heard, but this time it was closer. Destroying the stairway leading to the east wall. Eclipse and Helis soldiers came out of the hole...with an Ultrawave Mk6?!

I heard the sound of his Exo's compressed air pistons as he double jumped and broke his fall. He grabbed a Carja soldier and threw him off the balcony like it was nothing. To then kick another and impale him with his sword.

Aloy: It's Helis! -my girlfriend said with hatred and anger in her voice.

I looked around for Avad and saw him drawing his sword.

Me: No, stay here. I'll go after Helis -I told them, but Aloy shook her head.

Aloy: No, you're not going to fight that monster alone -the hunter told me as she stood in front of me.

Me: Aloy, he has an Ultrawave. I'm the only one who can fight him. I'm not going to put you in danger unnecessarily -I told her looking into her eyes with a determined look.

Aloy: And I'm not going to let you kill yourself for me again! -said the huntress with glassy eyes.

It breaks my heart to see her like this... but it's for her own good.

Me: Aloy I -I was going to tell her, but she interrupted me with a scream.

Aloy: I don't want to lose you again! -My girlfriend yelled at me in a sad but determined voice.

She was worried about me... she's almost crying for me... the time she thought I was dead affected her more than I thought... still... I have to defeat Helis. I am the only one who can do it...it is my duty and my responsibility. I want Aloy, no...I need Aloy to win and live.

I gave the redhead a tender kiss on the lips, a kiss that took her by surprise but soon sank into hers. We broke away from her kiss and I grabbed her shoulders.

I looked at Avad with a determined look and he just nodded.

Forgive me Aloy...

I grabbed my girlfriend's hook rope and threw her off the balcony. In her confusion, I picked her up a bit and tossed her towards Avad. Which trapped her so she wouldn't escape from it.

I looked at her one last time and closed my helmet as the redhead screamed my name with teary eyes. I jumped off the balcony and before I hit the ground, I double-jumped in the air and landed in a superhero pose.

Me: It's time to make some fucking chimichangas -I said as I grabbed my light machine gun and ran in the direction Helis went.

I reached a kind of small square with stairs, where there were Eclipse soldiers fighting with the guard.

I shot against the Eclipse and saved a few soldiers, who thanked me and continued inside the castle to fight against the invaders, some of them went to defend the wall.

I felt like someone had lunged at me, making me lose my grip on my gun at the sudden movement. My body hit a pillar and I could hear the sandstone cracking.

I looked in the direction I felt the blow and saw Helis with a bulletproof shield and a saber...How the hell did he get my armor?!

Helis: Old One, we meet again -said the man with a smile.

Me: Helis -I said with venom in my voice as I unfolded my blade.

Helis: I see there will be no talk first huh? -the man said sarcastically, making me angrier.

Me: There's nothing to talk about, you sadistic son of a bitch! -I said with hate and venom in my voice, preparing to fight.

Helis lunged at me to try to slash me with his sword. But I covered his attack with my blade, leaving us both in a clash of swords.

I kicked him to get him away from me. I tried to cut him with my blade but he used his sword to defend himself. I twisted my arm to loosen his grip and tried to punch him but he jammed his shield in the middle, causing me to wince at having hit the shield.

The man hit me with the shield on the helmet and made me miss the clash of swords. He tried to impale me with his sword, but I narrowly dodged; then he tried to hit me in the head, but I circled under the attack and cut him in the rib with my blade.

Helis tried to stab me with his sword, but I activated my electromagnetic shield, causing his sword to bounce and lose some balance.

While he was staggering, I hit him in the face with my shield, then grabbed one of the corners of the shield and ripped it off him before throwing it off the balcony.

Helis punched me in the helmet, but this one I did feel from the force of his exo, making me fall to the ground. He tried to impale his sword on me and without wasting time I used my shield to defend myself.

Helis: Do you think you have a chance against ME? Against the Terror of the Sun!? -said the man with a sadistic smile while he kept hitting my shield, weakening it little by little.

I noticed that Helis wasn't moving his legs and they were close to me, so I kicked him in the knee, making him lose balance and drop to his knees. I smashed my shield on him during his fall and at the same time used my shield as a catapult to get rid of him.

Me: Let's see if you're so tough when I rip your balls off! -I responded with hatred to the man.

The Eclipse leader tried to cut off my arm but I moved out of the way. He saw that my shield had a small opening and with his sword he destroyed my shield.

I got up from the ground quickly and used the few seconds of rest I had to catch my breath. Helis was a good fighter, I can give him that, but I'm not going to let him win that easily.

Helis got up and quickly slashed across the chest of my armor, penetrating it and cutting me a bit. I walked away a little sore and saw that his sword had pierced my armor, but how?

Me: How-? -I was going to ask him but he gave an evil smile.

Helis: Made from the jaw of a Thunderjaw, Old One. It can cut through anything -said the man with an evil smile.

Helis: Now, I give you two options. Do you want to die fast or slowly?  -said the man swinging his sword in circles as we spun around each other.

Me: I prefer the third option -I told him while he looked at him with hatred.

Helis: Oh yeah? And what would that be? -Said the man mockingly.

Me: In which I have your head embedded in my sword -I told the man with a mocking smile and a determined look on my face.

Helis: I was going to give you a slow death, but now I'm going to make you suffer, starting with that bitch with the red hair. We'll have so much fun -the man said with a sadistic smile.

That son of a bitch isn't going to touch a lock of my Aloy's hair.

Me: You'll have to kill me first, bastard! -I said with my blade ready.

Helis: So be it! -The man said as he approached me with his sword.

Me: Give me the worst you have! -I said while I prepared myself for the attack.

We both ran towards each other, Helis brandishing his sword like an ax while I kept my blade in front.

With Aloy...

Aloy POV

They kept coming. We have half an hour fighting with these war machines and they did not seem to stop coming. We recently took down a Corrupted Stormbird. That was a headache.

The brunette who helped Allam, Vanasha if I'm not mistaken, was passing me more ammunition cartridges for the cannon.

Me: Thanks Vanasha -I thanked the brunette

From one moment to another we hear something fall and break. The Shadow Carja who was a friend of Allam, named Uthid went to pick up what it was and when I saw what he had in his hand, I couldn't believe it.

It was Allam's shattered helmet...

It felt like the whole world was collapsing at the sight of that helmet. Allam he couldn't be dead...not again...he couldn't be dead.

Vanasha was saying something to me but everything sounded dull and I just had my eyes on the helmet.

An explosion brought me back to my senses, but it was too late. I was flying through the air, then everything was darkness...

I tried to stay awake, but everything was blurry. I had a huge headache...

I see a Deathbringer dragging a giant ball of metal.

Me: HADES -I said weakly and fell back knocked to the ground.

I started to hear screams everywhere, but there was a voice that stood out from all, which was calling me.

??: Aloy...Aloy...Aloy please wake up -said the male voice. I opened my eyes, and I could see the blurred image of Allam, I blinked a few times and my vision cleared, it was Teb.

Teb: Aloy, thanks to The Mother you are alive, I thought you were dead! -said the young man glad to see me.

Me: Teb...where?...Is everyone alright? -I asked the craftsman Nora.

Teb: Yes, wounded, but alive. That big machine destroyed the entrance and kept going, dragging that thing with it. It's headed for the Spire -my friend explained.

I had failed, I let Hades get there. I hope I'm not too late to stop him. I remembered when Uthid had Allam's helmet, maybe... Teb would have seen it.

Aloy: Teb....Have you seen Allam? -I asked hopefully, but he shook his head.

Sigh...I want to cry, I lost Allam again and Hades came to the Spire...but I can't...I have to be strong...everyone has been giving their all and I can't be the only one to stop crying. ..I'll have time to cry later...it's time to work.

I got up with Teb's help and took one of the healing potions to dull the pain.

Me: Teb...stay here and take care of the wounded -he ordered as he began to run towards Meridian's village. The place looked like hell itself, filled with fire, smoke, and destruction.

While I was running I saw how Meridian's elevator was destroyed by a Kopesh and it started to fall. Forcing me to change course.

Moments before...

Allam Pov

I punched Helis in the face, causing him to get off me. I had a bloody nose and my mouth tasted like iron.

Helis: Where is the warrior my men fear so much? Where is all the talk you sent me? -Said the leader Eclipse while he spit some blood with a tooth included.

I hear an explosion and see that the East Wall has been destroyed. A Kopesh was dragging a giant metal ball, it was dragging HADES.

Me: Shit, Aloy! -I said when I saw the smoke.

Helis: I don't think your little girlfriend survived -said the man with an evil smile, making my blood boil.

I got up and threw myself against the man, staying on top of him. I started punching and hooking him in the face. When he covered himself, I grabbed one of his arms and put him between my legs to start pulling and extending him, with the intention of dislocating him.

Helis spun around and hit me in the face with a brick, causing me to let go of his arm.

This climbed on top of me and began to destroy my mask, if he damaged it I would not be able to see. I put my hand on his face and tried to keep him away from me.

I was losing vision and I stuck my thumb in his eye and started squeezing it. I used all my strength and Helis gasped in pain. Ripping off my helmet in the process.

Helis threw him off the balcony and he looked upset, with a bloody eye. He tried to cut me with his sword but I unfolded my blade and stopped him.

I applied force until he got tired. Out of nowhere my blade snapped in two, leaving me shocked. I blocked with what little was left of my blade and gripped the sword in my hand, it hurt like acid had been thrown into a wound.

I kicked the Eclipse in the knee and heard a little "pop" from it. I had broken the bastard's meniscus.

I kicked him in the face, causing him to drop his sword and fall to the ground. I grabbed the broken part of my blade and plunged it into the Eclipse's stomach. He looked at me with hatred, until I forced him to kneel before me.

Me: Here is the man the Eclipses fear Helis. The man who makes your officers shit their pants and have nightmares, that's me -I said to him as I reached for his sword and grabbed his left arm.

I severed his arm and this cry of pain, I just tossed it aside. I kicked him in the face causing him to fall to the ground, I grabbed his right leg and broke it, leaving him at an inhuman angle. I grabbed him by his helmet and slashed my fist across his collarbone, so hard it shattered.

Helis: Y-You are u-u-u-u -the man tried to say but the pain wouldn't let him.

Me: A bastard? A monster? Calm down -I told him while I whispered in his ear grimly.

Me: I know -I told him with a sinister smile, to later grab his helmet and lift it up as best he could.

Me: As I told you, I prefer the third option Helis...look at the Sun and let your fanaticism kill you -I told him while I forced him to look at the sky, and then cut off his head.

I was panting quite loudly, I finally put an end to Helis... finally his reign of terror is over. I looked at my bloody hand and at my open wound, I hadn't seen my own blood on my hands in such a long time.

I wiped my bloody hand over my face, leaving a long bloodstain on my face.

This is the new world...but I still have to have morals so as not to fall into the abyss...if I lose my morals...I lose myself.

I went to get my light machine gun and when I found it I put it on my back, while I sheathed the sword in my belt. I think I'll keep this sword.

I approached the zip line that helped to get down to the east wall, but it was destroyed and if I jumped from here it was certain death.

Me: I need to get down from here fast... the elevator! -I said after thinking about it for a bit and with a plan in mind.

I opened the doors that took me to the interior of the corridors of the Palacio del Sol. I ran like hell until I finally came out to the outside patio. I was running through the abandoned streets of Meridian, which were empty from the attack and the Martial Law that was imposed.

A group of guards were fighting a large squad of Eclipse troopers, I grabbed the LMG and double-jumped, raining down a barrage of bullets on the poor bastards.

The Eclipse seemed to recognize me and they left terrified, the guards thanked me and chased them. I kept running to the Meridian elevator. There was only one open and available, so I walked into it and hit the lever.

As I was going down I heard several missiles coming in the direction of the elevator and I grabbed onto something. When the explosions came, I felt how gravity was losing and the elevator was falling.

Me: Oh God! -I screamed scared until everything went dark and I didn't see anything else.

I started to open my eyes and I feel that my whole body aches. Everything is dark. Desperate screams... it's the only thing I hear. I feel the taste of iron in my mouth; my nose caught the smell of burnt wood and rust.

I start to move whatever I have on top, without much success. I look to the sides and I see that there is a small opening for me to get out, that if I do enough force I can make it bigger.

I started to move towards it slowly. When I got to the opening, I used all my strength possible and opened it wide enough to get my torso out. Then I got my legs out and was out of the wreckage.

I saw the village of Meridian and it was engulfed in flames. People screamed desperately and asking for help. The guard fought against the Eclipse and their corrupted machines. It made me sad and angry to see the village like this... the Eclipse are going to pay for this. I was going to run to the east wall, but an explosion at the top of the Spire alerted me that they were fighting up there, so I ran over there, killing the odd Eclipse trooper that got in my way.

I started to climb the steps of the Spire, in some parts the stairs were collapsed so I had to do double jumps to get there.

After a few minutes, I gasped to the top of the stair and saw a red-veined Kopesh fighting my friends and allies.

He watched as Erend, Sarah, Janet, Tanalah, Sona, Varl, and Aloy fought against the corrupted machine. HADES must be transmitting by now...I have to push harder. It's time to end this once and for all.

I grabbed my light machine gun and started shooting at the machine, drawing the attention of everyone present, who were surprised by my sudden appearance.

The Kopesh started shooting at me with his machine gun, I double jumped to get out of his way and keep shooting, when I fell to the ground I ran for cover. The others continued to fire at the great machine with arrows, bombs, and bullets. I took out the magazine and saw that I only had about 100 rounds left before I ran out of ammunition.

I put the magazine back in and shot the Kopesh again. I double jumped to get out of his attack range. Shell casings fell like rain.

I'm going to keep fighting until every single one of those robots is on the ground. I will fight for my friends...for my family...and for the world.

I heard the click of my machine gun, signifying that I am out of bullets. I dropped the gun and let it fall to the ground, I put my hands on my waist, but I don't feel my grenade launcher.

Me: I must have lost it in the elevator fall...shit -I said as I thought about what I could use to continue fighting.

I poked my head out a bit and I could see the ball where Hades was. Aloy tried to get closer to him, but the Kopesh wouldn't let her. I felt Helis's sword on my belt and had the dumbest idea in the world.

I contacted Sarah, who was close to Aloy.

Sarah: Allam, we need help, are you out of bullets? -she said scared.

Me: Yeah, tell Aloy to get ready to run when I do the diversion. Shoot that bastard with fire -I told her and closed the call before she could answer me.

I grabbed the sword and started swinging it. I just hope to give Aloy enough time to take down HADES. I came out of my cover and swung my sword.

Me: Hey! -I called the Kopesh and he looked at me.

HADES: Alpha Prime -the AI ​​said through the Kopesh.

Me: You're looking for me, right? -I asked with an annoyed grin. I watched as Aloy ran from behind the Kopesh with Sylens' spear in hand.

HADES: Affirmative...hand over the nuclear codes...General Allam Blake -the assassin AI demanded.

Me: Sure, you can have them -I said with a confident smile.

Fire arrows, explosive arrows, and firebombs rained down on the gigantic ancient war machine.

Me: When you rip them from my cold, bloody hands, you boot-leg ass Skynet! -I yelled at the machine as I started the race against it.

All that heat damage caused it to overheat, leaving its cores exposed. Everyone started attacking the cores they could see, but I'm going for the big one, which is on top of it.

I double jumped and opened the hatch where the core was. I put my hand in and pulled out the big core, which was red hot. I slashed at the core twice, leaving an opening just big enough to fit something in. I grabbed my bag of grenades and put it in there. When the Kopesh cooled down again, it closed its core again and I already knew it was my way out.

I double jumped and the blast sent me flying into the air, landing near HADES, right next to Aloy.

She helped me up and I looked into her eyes. I could see how her pupils were dilated in surprise...as if she was seeing a ghost. I put my hand on hers, to signal that I was ready, we both nodded, I took her hand and with a determined look, she used the master code in HADES. I embedded my sword in the large metal ball. We both felt a great current of energy entering our entire body and suddenly... we were inside a holographic room created by the Focus.

A large red antenna pointed at Hades, while two blue figures showed up. One was Aunt Eli's, and the other was mine, in a uniform like the old General Herres.

A synthetic voice began to speak.

Voice: Master control armed. To activate, specify name and rank -said the voice.

Aloy: Elizabeth Sobeck...Alpha Prime, the hunter said confidently.

Me: General Allam Blake...Alpha Prime -I said with a determined voice.

I watched as Aloy reached for Aunt Eli's hologram...as if she didn't want to let her go.

Voice: Master control activated, purging extinction protocol -said the voice to start destroying HADES.

I felt like we were pulled back to reality. The metal ball began to display energy, knowing what was coming, I gave Aloy a hug to cover her from the electrical wave.

I opened my eyes and met her green eyes, I felt how they penetrated to the depths of my soul.

Me: Hey -I said and a smile began to form on her face.

Aloy: You're alive -she said with tears threatening to break out.

Me: Of course, I am... I'm never going to leave you alone in my life Aloy -I replied and she kissed me.

At first, I was surprised by her kiss, but then I bonded with her quite well. When she kissed me, it felt like there was only the two of us in the world. Nobody else.

We break away from the kiss and hear a small cough behind us. There we saw our friends, all with mischievous smiles on their faces. We are simply embarrassed.

Sarah: Osborn, what a gallant -said my younger sister comically, earning everyone's laugh.

Erend: There is a place here that I want everyone to see -said the Oseram with a smile, making a sign for them to follow him.

We followed Erend to a cliff, on which all of Meridian could be seen. The Sun began to rise, signaling the dawn of a new day...for me it was the dawn of a new tomorrow. We could hear the victorious cries of the citizens of Merdian. It was beautiful and glorious...we tried so hard and behold, the fruits of our efforts.

I walked over and kissed her on the lips. Everyone was clapping and yelling, making Aloy and I laugh a little, embarrassed at what this crazy bunch was doing.

Erend: LONG LIVE THE BRIDEGROOMS -Shouted the Oseram while he raised his war hammer.

Aloy and I separated from the kiss and joined our foreheads.

Me: I love you Aloy -I told her in a whisper while he looked at her green eyes.

Aloy: And I love you, Allam Blake -the huntress replied with a big smile.

You know? Humanity has been on the brink of extinction four times...and the last time we perished...but we created a new world...a world better than the one we left behind...a world that still lives on the sins we committed.

This is the fifth time that humans are on the verge of extinction... and this time if we survive it...

Humanity: 5-Extinction: 1...

There will be more battles, more adventures and new secrets to discover in the future... I only hope to have my family and friends by my side... to face the mysteries of this world.

I hope y'all liked this chapters, we're basically done with the first book already, no its time for the second, which I still have to finish. What did y'all though about the story?
