Goodbye
Short chapter!
Allam started opening his eyes and the first thing he saw was the sandstone ceiling. The soldier was still kind of sleepy, he felt something heavy on his chest and saw Aloy using him as a pillow.
The young man started to remember last night events, with a bright blush covering his cheeks.
Allam: Aloy and I...made love...last night...I still find it hard to believe, but we did -he said in a low voice, as to not wake Aloy up.
Allam looked in the direction of the redhead and saw as she stirred a little in her sleep, having a small simile on her face.
Allam studied Aloy's body with some more detail than he did last night. She had a pretty slim abdomen, with a small scar on her side, probably out of training or in combat with a machine, nothing too damaging. But overall, she had a fairly unscarred body, compared to him and the multiple battle scars he had.
Her breasts were of a decent size with tanned areolas. Freckles decorated her chest, shoulders and possibly her belly and thighs too. Soon he realized that the redhead started to wake up, the first thing she saw was the loving smile that the ancient soldier had on his face. Allam noticed the pair of green eyes looking at him with love. The soldier couldn't hide his smile at the sight of his beloved looking at him.
Allam: Morning, sleeping beauty -greeted the man with a smile, the woman smiled and blushed a little at the nickname.
Aloy: Morning to you too -said the huntress, not knowing what to call her boyfriend.
Allam: How was...last night? -asked the man, with embarrassment.
Aloy: I'd say it was...a new experience, but it was more than that, it was, magical - she explained to her boyfriend, a small blush forming in her face.
Aloy: How about you? -she asked sheepishly to the soldier.
Allam smiled and got closer to her, their noses touching.
Allam: I might have become more addicted to you -said the soldier with a smile on his face, bringing a blush to the redhead's cheeks.
The couple got out of bed and put their clothes back on, once that was done, they brushed their teeth and went downstairs to the living room, where they saw Sarah and Janet doing their own thing.
Sarah was working on a workbench, working with what appeared to be a gauntlet of some sorts, meanwhile, Janet was reading a transcript about medicine in her Focus.
The teenagers noticed the presence of both young adults shortly after they got into the room. Sarah blushed a little and turned her head back to the workbench, she was muttering something under her breath.
Meanwhile, Janet had a mischievous smile on her face as she looked at the couple.
Janet: Sooooo...how was last night? -asked the teenager mischievously, making the lovers blush.
Allam: I-It was fun...You're talking about the party, right? -he said and the black haired teen started laughing.
Sarah: You two were too loud! I didn't want to hear none of that shit! -said the teen, now red as a tomato out embarrassment.
Both Allam and Aloy turned red when they heard that, while Janet burst into laughter after her sister's explosion. After the initial shock, Allam cleared his throat and addressed his sisters.
Allam: I-I'm sorry y'all had to hear that...last night -said the man in an apologetic way, embarrassed.
Aloy: Y-Yeah, I-I'm...We're sorry -apologized the redhead, red from embarrassment, just like her own hair.
Janet: You guys are good. We should've expected that this was going to happen, but still, this was too damn funny -said the teenager, still smiling from the previous laughter session she just had.
Sarah: If-If it makes you feel better, you guys weren't THAT loud -said the teenager trying to de-escalate the whole drama that was made, making the lovers get an embarrassed laugh.
After the whole situation ended, they decide to have some breakfast. During their meal, a notification popped on Aloys Focus, which made her gasp loudly, catching the attention of the Blake siblings.
Janet: You ok? -asked the teenager, confused.
Aloy: Y-Yeah, as a matter of fact, I'm great -said the young woman, happy.
Sarah: Why's that? -asked the other teen, curious.
Aloy: I found Elizabeths home address -said the redhead, still in disbelief.
The siblings looked at the redhead surprised. Without a second though, all three of them stood up from the table and parted ways, Aloy looked at them very confused.
Aloy: What are you guys doing? -asked the redhead confused.
She saw the teenagers don their Ultrawave armor and grabbing their weapons. Allam came out a few moments later, fully suited up.
Aloy: H-Hey, what's going on? -she asked and Allam put a hand on her shoulder.
Allam: Get ready, love. We're going to Sobeck Ranch...we have to...say goodbye -said the soldier and the redhead understood.
A few moments later, the four of them were out of the apartment and on the streets of Meridian. They left the city and into the wilds, finding a herd of Striders, which Aloy overrides, and they were on their way.
A few hours later...
The group was riding through the countryside, still having 2 miles left. Aloy was at the head of the group, Allam to her left, Sarah to her right and Jante on the rear. Aloy was listening to one of Elizabeth Sobeck's old audio logs, about what she'll consider as the perfect daughter.
Not a moment too soon, they arrive at the ruins of Sobeck Ranch. The Blake siblings take a deep breath and demount from their machines. The group walked inside the old courtyard of the ranch, until they saw a bench, where two Ultrawave armors laid.
The armors where laid, with their heads touching each other. Aloy and Allam got close to the bodies and scanned them, the faces of Lenora Blake and Elizabeth Sobeck were there, replacing the mask.
The teenagers broke down in a cry but kept to themselves, looking at the deceased body of their mother and their aunt. Aloy looked at Allam and she saw his watery eyes, but not backing down from where he was standing. She saw him grab something from his mother's hand, and it was necklace, of a cross.
Allam: I'm home mom -said the soldier, with tears running down his face, but keeping his face as stoic as possible.
The redhead hugged the soldier and hold him in a tight embrace, she noticed that he was shaking, she saw that he was angry...because he was sad.
Allam: I should've sent her out here...instead of me -said the soldier in a low painful voice.
Sarah and Janet came to also hugged their brother and he finally broke down, falling to his knees. He was not being General Allam Blake at that moment, he was just being Allam Blake, the man who was iced and woken up in another time, a man that saw stuff that no one will desire to see...a man broken by the war.
Allam calmed himself down after a few minutes of him crying. The siblings stood up and said their final goodbyes to their mother.
Sarah: Thank you for being the best, mama...Thank you for the opportunity to live, Ant Eli. I love you both -said the chestnut teen, stepping away, to calm herself down.
Janet: I will miss you...thank you, mama -said the teen, with tears in her eyes still. She did the same thing her sister did, and they comforted each other.
Allam got close to both bodies, he pressed his fingers on his lips and placed them both on both his mother and Elizabeths helmets.
Allam: I love you...to hell and back -said the soldier with pain.
Aloy looked at Elizabeth's body and saw that she had some type of necklace in her hand. The redhead took the necklace and saw that it was the planet earth. Aloy hold the necklace close to her hearth and let out a sad long sigh, looking at the sky with a smile.
Allam put his arm around her shoulders and brought Aloy closer to him, the woman hugged the man tenderly, he just buried his face in her hair and stayed there, both of them enjoying each other's company.
