Despite its many hiccups and delays, it is a book I enjoyed writing and I hope you have enjoyed reading it. I thank everyone who took the time to read this story and see how I brought this interpretation to a video game saga that has a special place in my heart. Without further ado, enjoy!

Continuation...

Allam: I'M GONNA BE A DAD! -the man shouted excited, while he carried his girlfriend in his arms.

Aloy looked at Allam and saw his brown eyes becoming crystal clear, as if they were about to cry, it was an immeasurable happiness, she had never seen him so happy. He was so happy that he was laughing. The man lowered the redhead to the ground and gave her a deep kiss on the lips.

Allam: Aloy, this is the best news in the world -said the man happily.

Allam knelt on his knee and took Aloy's hands in his. The teenagers looked with surprise and excitement at what was happening in front of them.

Allam: Aloy, you are the most beautiful and amazing woman in the world, from the first moment you thawed me out of the ice, I was attracted to you. There is no one in this world, with whom I would ask to spend the rest of my days. I don't have a ring, and this is all off the cuff, but Aloy; Will you marry me? -the ancient soldier proclaimed.

Small tears of happiness escaped from the redhead's eyes, she felt as if she had a lump in her throat; the best she could do was nod.

Aloy hugged the soldier tightly, then gave him a tender kiss on the lips. Janet and Sarah clapped and whistled for the lovers, both of them happy for them. When they separated from the kiss, they both brought their foreheads together and were lost in each other's eyes.

Aloy: I love you -said the Nora huntress, with a smile decorating her face.

Allam: I love you more, Aloy -said the ancient soldier, a smile plastered on his face.

The pair were snapped out of their trance when they heard a small alert coming from the holographic map. Everyone looked at the map and it showed a sign coming from an old military base in the middle of Kansas.

Allam: Eureka -said the ancient soldier with a smile, walking towards the map.

The others moved closer to the map and looked at the point where the signal had come from.

Janet: Do you think there's a copy of GAIA over there? -asked the black-haired girl.

Aloy: Or a clue that leads us to the copy -replied the redhead.

Allam looked with a smile at the map, thinking of the possibilities and the secrets that they may discover in the facilities. But the man's adventurous thinking stopped when he remembered that the love of his life was pregnant, with his baby.

Allam knew that Aloy wasn't much for sitting or being tied in one place for very long... and technically speaking, the pregnancy tied her to being in the Sacred Lands, for her health and that of their baby. Janet and Sarah could access any Zero Dawn facility they wanted, but he was the only one able to access military facilities without any problem.

Aloy: Allam, I will stay here, go with your sisters to the location. I wouldn't want to hurt the baby -the woman said, taking the soldier by surprise.

Allam: W-Wait -said the soldier surprised, but was interrupted by his younger sister.

Sarah: Aloy, you can still come with us -said the teenager, surprising the redhead.

Janet: Exactly, if you only have like two weeks. You can still move and do everything you always do, but with more care -explained the teenager.

Aloy looked at Allam, seeking his confirmation of what his sisters said about him, to which he nodded.

Allam: We can still go on an adventure. You're not going to anchor yet, sweetheart -the ancient soldier told her with a smile.

The hunter sighed in relief and nodded.

Aloy: Okay. We'd better get ready to go get that copy -the woman said with a smile, making the Blake's smile too.

~November~

The penultimate month of the year, November, had finally arrived, causing temperatures on the planet to drop, covering forests and valleys with light snow.

Some time had passed since the appearance of the alleged clue that would lead our travelers to the whereabouts of the copy of GAIA. But, the group still did not find a concrete clue as to where the copy of GAIA could be, which has become somewhat frustrating for the group of travelers.

During their travels in search of the copy, Allam and Aloy had a small ceremony, where they exchanged rings made of stainless steel, not glamorous, but functional.

In the time that has passed, Aloy's belly was beginning to swell, which to attentive eyes, signaled her pregnancy. In addition to the other symptoms are beginning to make an appearance, such as constant fatigue and back pain. Janet had advised the group to return to the Embrace, not only so they could rest and replenish their supplies, but because it was time for Aloy to get serious about her pregnancy.

As soon as they returned to the Embrace, Janet ran more tests on Aloy, revealing that she was already halfway through her first trimester of pregnancy, so she would need to rest for the next several months.

~December~

The winter season in the Sacred Lands was sacred to the Nora, where they gave gifts to each other and praised All Mother, a celebration similar to Christmas.

Due to the low temperatures; and if it was necessary for Aloy to go out, she would wear a heavy fur coat, along with a fur skirt, under it she would wear leather pants and wear brown leather gloves and boots. The coat and skirt had red and blue embroidery; the characteristic colors worn by the huntress.

The woman was sitting in front of the fire, while she read data on her Focus, trying to find something that would tell her information about the copy of GAIA. She was currently wearing the white Miriam Technologies t-shirt that Allam usually wears; and that is too big for him, in her leather leggings and stockings made from fox fur.

Allam was wearing leather pants, stockings made from boar skin, and a long-sleeved red shirt. Allam was repairing some of his Sarwave armor...or what little is left of it.

As Aloy read, she began to feel a little chilly, so she got up to add more fuel to the fire. As she approached the fireplace, she noticed that the basket of wood was empty. Aloy walked to the other side of the house and opened the closet, which they called the storage room. The storage room was located between the main room and the bonus room, which was formerly Sarah's, but was now in the process of being set up as a nursery, for when the baby was born.

Aloy: Allam, we're out of firewood -said the redhead, making the man look at the basket where they put the firewood.

Allam: Have you checked the storage yet? -the ancient soldier asked, to which she nodded.

Allam: I should have gotten more when I went to Mother's Heart last week -the ancient soldier sighed.

While it was true that Allam could go out and get wood from any tree, the merchant who sold it, Yer, sold the wood dry, not wet like the one outside.

Allam: Well, I'm going to Mother's Heart and get more wood. I'll take Charlie with me -said the former soldier, to go change into his winter clothes.

After a few minutes, Allam left the room, wearing his military extreme cold weather gear, which consisted of a thick gray vest, thermal leggings under a winter camouflage pants, and black leather boots, items that were brought from the cryogenic facility. He also brought his blade, an axe and his Gauss rifle, which has seen better days.

Aloy: Be careful Al, okay? Are you warm enough? Do you know how to get back home? You have enough ammo? -the redhead asked as she made sure the man was ready to go out into the cold.

Allam: I'll be fine Aloy, I won't be out for more than an hour, an hour and a half at the most. Besides, you've been more cautious in recent days -said the old soldier with a laugh, to which the redhead looked at him with some annoyance.

Aloy: Forgive me for not wanting you to freeze to death out there, Allam -she replied with some attitude.

Allam knew that he was almost opening a Pandora's box. Due to her pregnancy, Aloy's hormones were on a revolution, so any little thing could make her happy, sad or very, very, angry.

Allam: N-No love, I-I appreciate the concern -said the soldier, trying to calm his wife.

Aloy: I hope you do, mister. Go before it gets too late for you -said the redhead, to give the soldier a short kiss on the lips and let him go.

Allam left the cabin and led Charlie the Watcher towards the Nora Settlement.

Later...

Allam walked through the Nora settlement, trying to find the trader he needed, with Charlie following close behind.

Allam saw the man's hut and knocked on his door, a few moments later, the merchant came out. The man was in his mid-40s, with brown hair and a braided beard. Brown eyes and brown hair decorated his physical appearance.

Allam: Hey Yer, how are you? I need wood -said the man bluntly.

The man, now known as Yer, looked away somewhat embarrassed.

Yer: I'm sorry, General Blake, but this winter has been hard for my family, so I can't sell the wood I have, I'm sorry -explained the man.

Allam: Come on man, I need that wood -the soldier begged, but Yer refused.

Yer: I'm sorry -the man said, before closing the door in Allam's face.

Allam sighed, trying to think of where else he could find dry wood. Dark thoughts ran through the ancient soldier's mind about how to get the wood he needed, but he decided to give them up... he knew it wasn't okay.

Allam: Fucking A, I'll have to cut some trees down and dry them when I'm home -said the ancient soldier.

Allam and Charlie walked out of the settlement and went deeper into the Embrace. After a while, the soldier saw a medium-sized tree, small enough to cut without problems.

Allam: Bingo -said the ancient soldier, as he grabbed the axe.

The soldier started hitting the tree hard, creating a bigger and bigger cut in the tree, until he finally fell to the ground.

Allam: Timber! -the soldier shouted with joy, seeing how the tree fell to the ground.

The soldier noticed how the wind was picking up.

Allam: There's a storm coming. I'd better hurry up -said the ancient soldier.

Allam cut the tree into slices and from the slices I cut smaller pieces, until he had a considerable amount of firewood.

Allam walked over to Charlie and from the small saddlebag he had, he pulled out some ropes. Allam stacked the pieces and tied what he could to the back of the machine. Allam tied the rest to his back.

Allam: We better go now -said the soldier, starting to walk, with Charlie following behind.

As they were both walking down the path back home, the storm had begun, limiting the ancient soldier's vision. He couldn't see anything past 20 meters.

Allam: D-Damn st-t-t-storm -said the soldier, shivering from the cold.

His hands were beginning to ache, and it felt as if they were on fire.

The soldier walked quickly through the frozen lands. His feet were beginning to ache and feel cold, he was losing feeling in his hands.

Allam opened the map in his Focus and saw that he was not far from home.

Allam: Come on Blake, just a little more. You'll be home in no time -the soldier was saying quietly as he walked briskly up the hill.

Allam walked over to the door and opened it with some difficulty, letting Charlie into the house, the former soldier entering behind him.

Aloy came out of the kitchen with a steaming cup, watching her husband brush the snow off him and Charlie flailing to get it off himself.

Allam: Hey, sorry for the delay -said the ancient soldier as he took off his winter clothes.

Aloy put her cup on the table and went to check on her husband. A worried expression decorated her face.

Aloy: You're cold. Come, I'll prepare you some tea -said the redhead, to later give the man a kiss on the cheek and sit him on the sofa.

Aloy went to the kitchen and brought him a cup of tea after a while, the soldier thanked her and began to drink it slowly. Aloy took the wood Allam had gotten and dried it, then tossed two pieces into the fire.

The redhead grabbed Charlie's load of wood and put it in the basket, then let the machine go back out and stand guard as usual.

Aloy sat down next to Allam and snuggled up next to him, letting him bask in her body heat.

Allam: Thank you love -the ancient soldier thanked her, to which the redhead smiled at him.

Aloy: You're welcom- the woman said, but she was interrupted by Allam's loud sneeze.

~January~

Aloy and Allam needed to talk to Teersa, the only one of the Matriarchs who supported the redhead from the beginning and her relationship with the ancient soldier. Janet had told the older woman that they wanted to see her, so she had made an appointment with the two of them as soon as possible.

The couple arrived at the settlement of Mother's Watch and entered it. During their journey, they were greeted by various Nora villagers who were walking back and forth, going about their daily chores. Thanks to the giant coat, they didn't notice Aloy's baby bump.

They both reached the entrance of All Mother Mountain, where they saw the old woman waiting for them. They both greeted the woman cordially and she invited them to follow her. They made it to a more private room and took a seat, with Allam and Aloy facing Teersa.

Allam Pov

Aloy and I have been talking the last few days about the Nora culture regarding children.

She explained to me that there was a ceremony to name the babies. The ceremony consisted of taking the baby to Naming Hill, before dawn. As soon as the sun rises, the mother calls out the name of her son or daughter to the valley. If the echo came back, the Mother had responded with the baby's name.

Teersa had told Aloy that she had been the one to bless her naming. She told him about it after she passed the Proving and survived the Eclipse assault. Although Aloy still does not feel like part of the Nora, she wants the baby to be part of a tribe and not grow up alone, as she did.

So she and I agreed to let Mother Teersa be the one to bless our baby's naming ceremony.

Me: Mother Teresa, we are here for -I started to tell her, but the old woman interrupted me.

Teersa: Because Aloy is pregnant? -the older woman asked with a smile, leaving me and Aloy shocked.

Aloy: N-Not exactly, well, yes but no, h-how did you know? -asked the redhead, surprised just like me.

Teersa: Honey, I'm an old woman now, I've seen dozens of Nora women be pregnant, at all stages. I noticed it, at the time they told us they planned to get married -explained the old woman, leaving me and Aloy very surprised.

Teersa: Besides, I see that you two already did it -she said when she saw the rings that we had in our hands.

Me: Well, you must already know why we are here, Mother Teersa. We want you to bless the naming of the baby, as soon as he or she is born -I asked, taking Aloy's hand in mine in the process, as she looked at the older woman.

The old woman smiled and got up from her seat. She took Aloy's hands and lifted her up; and with a wide maternal smile, she said to her:

Teersa: It would be my honor to bless your baby's name, Aloy -said the older woman, and then gave the redhead a hug, who melted in the older woman's embrace.

After they separated, both women sat down and started talking about the baby. I watched happily as Aloy smiled at the mention of the little creature growing inside her.

Teersa: Do you already have a name in mind? -curiously asked the matriarch.

Me: We haven't thought of one yet -I replied to the woman, but Aloy raised her index finger.

Aloy: To tell you the truth, I did think of a name. If she's a girl, I'm debating whether we should call her Elizabeth or Lenora -the redhead said with a smile as she gazed at her belly with affection.

Me: Did you think of my mother's name too? -I asked her and she nodded, with a smile in love with her.

I smiled and gave the redhead a kiss on the cheek, who laughed a little at her show of affection.

Teersa: What if he's a boy? -the matriarch asked again.

Aloy: I haven't thought of one yet...but I'm sure we won't need to think of one, my wife said with a smile.

Me: Do you think it will be a girl? -I asked her and she nodded.

Aloy: I know she's going to be a girl -she said confidently, I just laughed.

Me: Or she could be a boy, we're not 100% sure -said the ancient soldier with a smile.

As Aloy and I discussed boy names for the baby, Mother Teersa watched us happily, thinking of the first time she was pregnant.

General Pov

After a while, the couple decided it was time to go home. They said goodbye to the matriarch and left the settlement.

They mounted their machines, Allam's Strider and Aloy's Charger; and both undertook the journey back to their hut, which did not take more than half an hour. The former soldier got off his machine and helped his wife off of hers. Aloy thanked him for his assistance, even though she didn't need it yet, according to her.

They entered the house and sat on the sofa, where the redhead leaned against the chest of the former soldier, who let out a relaxed sigh.

Aloy: Hey Al -the redhead called to her husband, attracting his attention.

Aloy: Do you care about the gender of the baby? -the huntress asked the man and he looked at her with some panic.

Allam: N-No A-Aloy. Boy or girl, I'll l-love him or her no matter what -the man explained to which the woman put a hand on his cheek, meaning for him to let her speak.

Aloy: I know you're going to love her, no matter what. But personally, do you want our baby to be a boy or a girl? -the hunter asked, and the man nodded.

Allam: Well... personally... I would like a girl -said the soldier, with a small smile on his face.

Aloy: I want a girl too, if I'm honest -said the redhead with a smile.

Allam: Well, let's hope she's a little Aloy then -said the young soldier, to which the redhead rolled her eyes, embarrassed by her partner.

~February~

Aloy sat on the couch as she watched Janet and Sarah through a call.

Aloy: Have you found any clues? -the woman asked hopefully, to which both teenagers shook their heads.

Sarah: The only thing we found was an old military installation in the middle of Texas, a giant one. But no trace of a copy of GAIA -explained the teenager.

Janet: We'll be heading back to the Sacred Lands in a couple of days, even if it takes us a while to get there. We have to check our options and I have to check your pregnancy, Aloy -explained the teenager, to which the redhead simply nodded.

Sarah: But we did discover something, something... a little disturbing. You might want to call Allam -the teen said it would be her, drawing Aloy's attention.

The redhead called to the man, and he came out of the baby's room.

Allam: What's up? -the man asked curiously.

Janet: This -said the teenager, showing images of some kind of red plants that destroyed some crops.

Aloy: What is that? -asked the huntress in amazement.

Sarah: We asked the locals, and they call it the Plague. This stuff kills plants, kills animals, and poisons the water. It's the first time we see something like this. We'll investigate a little more about the matter before we come back -said the teenager, leaving the couple surprised.

Janet: See you soon, we'll keep you informed -said the black-haired teenager, to which the couple nodded.

The family said goodbye and both sisters closed the call, leaving the couple thoughtful.

Allam: What do you think that is? -asked the soldier.

Aloy: The terraforming system -said the woman without taking her eyes from where both sisters were before.

Allam: Do you think it's the system? It is impossible for the terraforming system to do that -said the man with surprise.

Aloy: Without a control, the system will act meaningless. We have to restore GAIA as soon as possible, Allam -said the woman, worried by what was discovered.

Allam: And we're going to restore it, Aloy. Nothing is going to stop us -said the man, taking his wife's hands, to be able to reassure her.

Aloy: I hope so, love, I hope so -she said, not very convinced.

~March~

Aloy opened her eyes suddenly, without any warning or anything. The woman saw everything dark, she turned to see if Allam was there, but she realized that her husband was not there, so she activated her Focus flashlight, allowing her to see the dark room.

The redhead got out of bed a little slowly, courtesy of being 5 months pregnant.

She already imagined where her husband was. She walked slowly and tiredly to the door of the nursery. She opened the door and saw the fully assembled crib.

She was surprised, knowing that it was already fully assembled. Aloy heard a light snore and turned in the direction she heard it and saw Allam asleep in the rocking chair in the room. The redhead found it sweet to see the man sleeping like a sack of potatoes, so she went back to the room and brought the soldier a blanket. She pulled the blanket up and kissed the man on the cheek.

Aloy: Thank you for everything you do, Allam -she said lovingly, then left the room and returned to hers.

Ready to go back to sleep.

~April~

Allam and Aloy were inside the SIGMA Cauldron, waiting for the scan results.

Sarah had decided to create a scanner to help Aloy, with the idea of monitoring the baby, but at the same time, revealing its gender.

Janet and Sarah appeared with some papers and smiles decorated their faces.

Janet: Well, Aloy, everything is filled with wonder with you. She's healthy -said the teenager, but unconsciously letting the surprise escape.

Allam and Aloy stared in amazement at the revelation. The redhead smiled wide, and she was looking at her belly with affection. Allam was simply amazed, his wife had been correct with the prediction that they would have a daughter.

Aloy looked at Allam with a smile and Allam responded with an equal smile.

Aloy: I told you -she said proudly, to which the ancient soldier just laughed.

~May~

The Earth began to warm up again, the snow began to melt, and the green color began to decorate the region. Beautiful flowers appeared in certain hotter areas.

Allam was working in his daughter's room, putting the finishing touches on the cradle, which now had a soft cotton mattress, which Allam got from courtesy of Avad

While the soldier worked in the room, Aloy was in the living room talking to Talanah and Erend, who had come to visit the couple, talking about trivial things.

~June~

The long-awaited day was getting closer and closer, leaving the future parents quite nervous.

Both of them had received a visit from the Warchief, Sona, and Varl. Sona had two children, so she was the most knowledgeable about babies and childbirth, according to Aloy.

Sona: Remember to stay calm at all costs, keep breathing and, for the love of the Mother, do not faint -the woman told her, with the redhead listening to her carefully.

Sona: And you, take my advice. Don't take her hand when she goes into labor. Believe me -said the woman to the ancient soldier, causing him to nod.

~July~

July 9, 10:30 a.m.

Aloy was sitting in a rocking chair in the living room; Allam had built it for her as a birthday present. The redhead was reading some information in her focus on how to take care of babies.

Meanwhile Allam, was outside, cutting the meat of a turkey that he hunted a while ago. The man was enjoying the fresh air, the birds were singing, the temperature was perfect for being outside. Summer had warmed the Earth enough to make the tundra more pleasant to walk.

Allam Pov

Today is a beautiful day, it is rare for the Embrace to be this hot, I could only hear peace and quiet. My wife and daughter are fine and healthy, it's just a matter of waiting for her to decide to come out.

Aloy: ALLAM! -Aloy shouted, when I heard her, I went terrified towards the door.

As I ran, I almost knocked down the door from how fast I was coming, I looked for my wife and I saw how she was clutching her belly and all the water that was under her.

Aloy: Here...our girl is coming -she said in pain and with a lot of effort.

I touched my Focus and call Janet. I walked over to Aloy and carried her bridal style as hard as I could...she was heavy.

As soon as my sister took the call, I didn't give her time to even answer.

Me: Code pink! We have a code pink! -I said through my Focus desperately.

Janet: We're going there right now -said the minor and closed the call.

I laid Aloy down on the bed and helped her get settled.

Me: Ok, I need you to control your breathing, love -I said to her, to which she nodded.

We inhale and exhale together, all at once.

Me: Concentrate on my voice, you're doing good -she reassured her and she gasped.

Aloy: She's... She's got to get out, Al! -she yelled as she started to push.

Me: O-ok, o-okay, push and breathe at the same time. Ja-Janet and Sona are already on their way. They will help you -I reassured her and she nodded.

Aloy: Well, tell them to get here faster! -she said with pain.

Soon, Janet, Sarah, and Sona arrived. The three of them entered the room and I tried to sneak towards the exit, to let them do their job.

Aloy: A-Allam -she called my name, as fast as I slipped away; as fast I came back.

Me: I'm here my love, you- Agh -I said sweetly to reassure her, but at the moment of giving her my hand, she broke it.

No really, she broke my hand...

Sona saw the pain I was in and how I was trying to hold back a scream, to which the dark-haired woman noticed that Aloy had my hand.

Sona: Dumbass, I told you not to take her hand. You had to give her a finger at least -the woman reproached me as if she were my mother.

Janet: I see that she is already dilated. Aloy I need you to push -the teen said, leading my wife.

Sona helped Aloy control her breathing when pushing.

Minutes passed, feeling like hours. The pain in my hand did not go away.

Me: L-Love, maybe y-you can let go of my hand -I said to her, trying not to scream from the pain.

Aloy: You put this baby inside of me, motherfucker, so you hold on - she answered me angrily, tightening her grip even more, her face was red with effort and pain.

I won't deny it...she scared the fuck out of me...

Janet: I-I see the head, push a little more Aloy -my sister yelled and Aloy let out a scream to the air.

The room went from Aloy screaming to a baby crying. We both stared in awe as we heard the crying. Janet was beaming as she cleaned the baby of blood and cut the umbilical cord.

Janet: Congratulations, she is a beautiful girl -said my sister with glassy eyes of happiness.

Janet handed the little baby to Aloy and Aloy held her wearily in her arms. The baby was crying at full throttle.

A smile began to form on my face and a sea of emotions formed inside my chest. She was so beautiful. An immeasurable happiness began to form inside me.

Aloy: She's... she's so tiny, our little one -said the redhead, panting from exhaustion, while she appreciated her baby.

A huge smile decorated Aloy's face. She looked motherly at the little baby.

The little girl had strands of orange hair and fair skin, she hadn't opened her eyes yet, so we didn't know what color of eyes she had.

Aloy: Look, she has your nose, Al -the redhead said adoringly as she cooed to the baby.

I felt tears escape from my eyes, but they were not sadness, they were tears of happiness. That little person just became my whole world. Sona was telling us something, but she fell on deaf ears, Aloy and I were hypnotized with the little baby, who had already calmed down and moved a little, trying to understand her new environment.

Aloy: Welcome to the world, Elizabeth -the woman said quietly, a smile plastered across her face.

I simply watched the scene with love and adoration. It was the happiest day of my life.

I used my Focus and took a picture of both of them, so I can treasure this moment.

We were so focused on the baby, that I had forgotten that Aloy had broken my hand...I didn't notice until I accidentally hit the nightstand...and I almost screamed like a girl from the pain.

Two weeks later...

General Pov

It was early in the morning; the sun had not yet risen. The sky was decorated in a bluish color, with some orange tints escaping from the horizon. Allam and Aloy were walking along a path in the Embrace. They both had to walk, to avoid shaking the little baby on a machine.

Aloy carried a bag with things that are necessary for the baby, such as coats or something to wipe her bottom in case she decided to relieve himself, while Allam, carried a baby carrier on his back, the same one that Aloy used once when she was a baby.

Aloy glanced at her husband for a moment, noticing how much he resembled Rost, with his little girl on his back. The redhead smiled wistfully as she remembered her adoptive father.

Aloy: I wish you could meet her Rost -said the redhead with some melancholy, thinking about how the man would react to the little girl.

The redhead noticed her baby sleep, exhausted as a bear. Nothing seemed to be able to bother her in the slightest. Apparently, she liked to fall asleep on her dad's back.

The couple reached the base of a mountain, which had a large terrace on the top. The parents began to climb until they reached the top, where they would meet Mother Teersa.

Allam would take the little baby out of her carrier, and she would open her eyes, very calm. The little girl had the most beautiful brown eyes in the world, as dark as coffee and curious as a dog's.

The little girl looked at everything around her, with curious eyes she scanned the people who were with her.

She saw her mother, her father and an old woman who smiled at her.

Teersa: She's a beautiful girl, although it doesn't surprise me, having parents as good looking as you two -said the woman as she got lost in the baby's brown eyes.

Teersa: Well, let's start with the ritual, let's not waste time -said the older woman.

Allam handed the baby to Aloy and she is cradled in her arms. Teersa took out a small bowl and drew a blue line on the baby's forehead.

The woman pointed Aloy to where she needed to go and Aloy walked over to the platform.

Teersa: Oh, All Mother, this child needs a name by which to know her, may your love warm her life, just as the sun warms the earth. Speak her name! -the woman recited, to which Aloy picked up the baby and screamed her name at the top of her lungs.

Aloy: ELIZABETH LENORA! -the redhead shouted, her voice being heard throughout the valley.

Little Elizabeth stared out at the horizon, laughing because her mother had just lifted her up and she could see all of the Embrace and beyond.

Teersa: And so her name is blessed -said the woman happily.

Aloy returned to Teersa and Allam, both thanking her for her honor.

Teersa: You are going to do great things, little Elizabeth. I know that -said the woman to the baby, to which she responded with a laugh and a babble, causing the laughter of those present.

The matriarch excused herself and left the couple alone, they both looked at the horizon. Allam put his arm around the redhead's shoulders, she smiled at him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, outlining a loving smile towards the ancient man.

Allam was going to kiss her back, but little Elizabeth was getting a little uncomfortable.

Allam: You also get one, pumpkin -said the soldier to give the little baby a kiss on the cheek, who began to laugh at the show of affection from her father.

Allam Pov

My daughter...my little Elizabeth...my pride and joy...and Aloy...my beautiful wife, my light at the end of the tunnel. They have become my whole world; I cannot live without one or the other.

I don't know what I did to deserve such a blessing, a family, a beautiful house and a peaceful life. GAIA still needs to be fixed, but I know my sisters will figure it out. No one can nor will separate us.

Me: Thank you, Aloy -I thanked the redhead, who looked at me with confusion.

Aloy: Why? -she asked me.

Me: For giving me the best life in the world -I said, with a smile.

Aloy: And thanks to you, for giving me the best gift in the world -she said with a smile, raising Eli in front of me, who was babbling.

The little girl grabbed my face and planted hers on my face, more specifically on my nose; and she started biting me. That caused both of us to laugh at our daughter's actions.

Aloy: She tried to give you a kiss -she said between laughs.

Me: A slimy kiss -I said, laughing at my little girl's actions.

I looked at Aloy sweetly and gave her a short kiss on her lips.

Aloy: I love you, Allam Blake, I don't know what i di to deserve you -she said with a smile.

Me: I thought I told you already? You got me out of that ice box and gave me the biggest adventure of my life. I love you more, Aloy Blake -I replied to her with some teasing, making her blush a little.

We heard Eli throw a little tantrum, which made us laugh.

Me: I love you too, Elizabeth Lenora Blake -I told the little girl, to which Aloy and I kissed her cheeks at the same time, making the baby laugh at our antics.

I close my eyes, and I can still feel it...the heat, she shockwaves, the shrapnel...I can still hear the million screams of the Old World, haunting me, whenever I'm alone...but when I open my eyes, the nightmare is done, and the only thing I see is my family... my beautiful family...and whenever I see them, the demons and the ghosts of my past stop screaming.

This may've not been the world my mother, or Aunt Eli envisioned...and probably the one they wished that I didn't wake up in...but this is the world that I live in...and these are the hands that I was given...and I got to use them to make this a place worth living in...for me and my family.

We'll repair GAIA...we'll heal the Earth...

Aloy and I will fight to create a better future...

For our daughter...
