---Flashback---

"This is..." Raegan motioned to the only man in the room other than himself. "Andrew." I nodded at the tall, powerful blond figure before me. It was not hard to guess what his job would be, the muscle.

Andrew nodded back, respectfully.

"Viola." I turned to meet a pretty lanky girl with black glasses, hair, blue eyes, pale skin and a smart attitude about her. She was obviously the intelligence.

"And Sam." The last member was a red hair, hazel eyed beauty that could make anyone jealous but it was not her beauty that was intimidating, it was the was her eyes that seemed to glow almost like red embers with something akin to hate but why me when I just met her?

I nodded and she glared at me, I could tell that she would be the distraction but something about her warned me to keep my distance.

Suddenly I heard a door open and knowing that it was Cole just by the increase in the speed of my beating heart, I continued.

I saw Raegan out of the corner of my eye open his mouth and hurried to intercept him. I knew that he was going to try and start a fight but there was no way I was going to let that happen. "Welcome Solokov would you please take a seat."

He just glared at me and begin to march towards me, my hand on Raegan's arm felt him tense.

Cole looked at me with defiance in his eyes and we stared at each other for a few moments before he finally backed down and sat.

It was my turn to be surprised this time that he actually obeyed. "I do not know why I was chosen as your leader?" I moved to include not just Cole but everyone else. My eyes scanned each and everyone of their faces before landing on his once again. "But I was chosen and so far I will be your leader until proven otherwise by the Director. If you have any problems then resign because I am not putting up with any of this crap." I had no idea where this courage came from but I was liking it.

I scanned each and everyone of my new team members' faces and stopped at Cole's and Raegans'. I sighed as I realized that someday I would have to settle this between the two. Moving my train of thoughts to the plan, I explained the plan that the director had explained to me via Xander then assigned partners. The assignment of partners which was the only part that I had to come up with. Xander advised to me to assign the partners myself so that I could see who could work and who could not work with somebody. This was just our first mission as a team and I already was afraid that I would fail. How could I be a good leader if I already had two members at their throats and the other three had no experience working together? All I could do, I sighed was hope and pray.

---End of Flashback---

I had still not forgotten the fight with Cole and there was no way I was even close to forgetting him yet but the very next day after meeting with my new team, we were called out on our first mission. Not letting my thoughts wander to the fight, I turned my head to look away from the source of my discomfort, Cole. Out of the corner my eye, I could see that his eyes were trained straight ahead, determined as should I. Turning away, I allowed him to keep his eyes on the road as he was the driver and ran the steps of the plan through my head once again to distract myself. I even ran through all possible mistakes could happen once again these were listed by Xander. Once the plan was nailed into my mind, I found myself watching the buildings breezing by wandering if I would ever have a normal life again.

"Is anyone there?" Andrew's voice sounded over the computer placed on the dashboard. Blushing at the fact that I had completely forgotten about that I turned to the video. "Yes, Andrew." I replied watching the mini camera on his jacket video the inside of the building that our target was in. "Regina and I are in the building?"

"Good. Continue with the plan. Andrew lay back a little and let Regina do the work. Regina are you ready?"

A annoyed sigh from Regina told me my answer.

"Good then do your job and you will just be fine. Viola where are they?" I tuned the blue tooth so I could hear what she was saying.

"They are on the first floor. I will forward them the information through their ear piece. The target will be on the third floor and if all goes as planned they should be out in ten to fifteen minutes. Good, try to get them out even earlier if you can." Tuning her out, I sighed as I turned to Cole.

He was still looking out the window, focused on doing the task of parking a block away from our target so when they gave us the signal we could be there pretty quickly when the mission was done. "Are you ready?"

He nodded so he wasn't going to talk to me. Yeah.

"Are you there, Vel?" I sighed, I hated it when he called me that.

"I'm here. Everything going well?"

"Yeah, just making sure everyone is in position."

"We are. Bye, Rae." I told him calling him by the nickname just so I could get back at him for calling me by mine. Tuning him out once again, I leaned against the seat letting out a sigh before closing my eyes for a moment.

----

It seemed like only seconds before the blue tooth vibrated and I hurriedly answered the call.

"They got him. Get there now!" Viola yelled in my ear and I motioned for Cole to go.

He put his foot on the accelerator and I was thrown against the seat. Holding onto the door, I squeezed the door until my knuckles were white.

"I count at least ten men. Get ready to shoot." Viola spoke in my ear just as Cole ran over the fence around the rusty, brick three story building and veered the steering wheel sharply making the car hover on two wheels for a few seconds after a sharp turn before it fell back on the ground with a force that reverberated throughout my body.

Taking a deep breath, I loaded my gun, sighed deeply, aimed and then fired at the nearest guy as soon as I opened the door. The man fell and I  barely had enough time to process that he was dead before I was aiming again. "Get in the car! I will cover you two!" I yelled at Andrew who had just opened the doors, aimed at an enemy then shot.

Giving me a quick nod, he dumped our unconscious target in the back of the van. As soon as I was sure that both Regina and Andrew were in the truck, I backed up to the passenger's side allowing Andrew and Regina to cover me before I threw open the door got in and shut the door.

Cole stepped on the accelerator and I looked at the building that was growing smaller in the distance. Men were still shooting at us and I could hear Andrew and Regina still shooting but for some apparent reason I felt like I would remember that building.

Maybe it was apart of my first mission but whatever the case, I remembered the cemented perimeter, rusty barrels and car parts littered around it. As soon as I could see the building that was covered by urban houses and apartments no more that was the only time that I returned my gaze to the front. I told myself that even if they went after us, they would not find us as Cole's horrific driving and steering pulled us down roads and alley-ways that I soon lost count of.

"We made it. Out first successful mission." Viola said in what seemed to be a shocked voice when after driving five blocks around the headquarters. We finally pulled into its drive-way.

"Don't celebrate yet. The mission is not completed until we get information out of this man." I told her and I saw Cole give me a side glance. I turned to look at him, "Get the target out and into interrogation I will be there in a second, Andrew and Regina."

They both nodded and once they had left the room, I begin to speak, "Cole, I understand why you withheld the fact that Gold was the one who killed my father and..." It was hard to say this but I needed to. "I agree with you now that I can think clearly now but do not ever keep that or anything like that from me ever again. Got that?" Without waiting for an answer or reply, I opened the car door and left. I may have put the last part a little harder then I wanted to but he needed to know that I really meant it. Now I needed to focus on interrogation.

---

The interrogation took a longer time then we needed but as soon as Solokov entered the room. He seemed to have no filter.

"Gold is already here. All I did was give him the papers to get here. He is under the name of Henry Gold. That is all I know. I promise."

After his confession, we gave him a few moments alone. "He has probably altered his appearance already so let us start by looking for him under his alleged name, Viola."

"Yes, mame."

"Good." I tuned her out and turned to Solokov. "How did you know-" I stopped at the puzzled look that was written across his face. "Are you okay?" I knew that look and quickly frowned. He was hiding something from me and was debating on whether he should tell me or not.

"Snow," he gulped before the determination in his eyes made him continue. "I already knew that he was here." He looked straight at me.  "The CIA director caught a picture of him here. We've been trying to track him but with no luck so far. I am sorry but he told me not to tell you until he or I was sure that you already knew or was stable enough to take it. I am sorry."

I closed my eyes for a moment and swallowed back biting comments. At least he told me and that was all I needed to know. "Do you know of anything else that would be helpful for me to know?"

He looked away from me and I knew he was keeping something big from me. "Makar is here also."

Surprise came over me and I froze. Bracing myself against the wall, I looked down at the ground and waited until I regained the ability to speak. Looking back up at him, I saw that he was also looking at the ground and looked pretty much like a puppy that was being punished. I did not know whether I should yell at him or not but deciding on the latter since I was in such a good mood today. "Where did you last see him?"

"Locanto."

I almost ran out the door but instead held it in. "What did they find?"

He refused to answer and I was becoming angrier and angrier at each second. "What did he find?" I said louder in a struggle to stay calm.

Since he would not tell me, I grabbed his phone and ordered him to call him. He with his eyes averted, dialed a number then handed it to me.

Frankly, I was surprised that he actually did what I asked. Taking the phone, I sighed deeply before I held it to my ear.
