I sat down at the table waiting for El and Mike to finish up in the bathroom that was settled in the basement. Dustin was sat next to me he was filling me in on what happened at Lucas's house. 

"Um, I'm happy your home." Dustin said to me suddenly I looked at him and smiled.

"Me, too." I answered. My radio was going off in my bag and I could tell it was Lucas I nodded to Dustin and he ran to Mike and El.

"Guys! It's Lucas, I think he's in trouble." Dustin said running into the bathroom.

"Shit." I heard Mike yell before he ran out of the bathroom to the radio.

"Do you remember how he said he was looking for the gate?" Dustin asked.

"Yeah." Mike answered.

"What if he found it?" I questioned. Lucas shouting indistinctly on the radio.

"What's he saying?" Mike asked.

"I don't know, he's way out of range." I answered.

"...son of a bitch!" Lucas yelled.

"Lucas, if you can hear us, slow down. We can't understand you." Mike said into the radio.

"Yes I copy! They know about Tessa and Eleven! Get out pf there! They know about  Tessa and Eleven! The bad men are coming! All of them! Do you hear me? The bad men are coming!" Lucas answered.

"'Mad hen.' Does that mean anything to you? Like a code name or something?" Dustin asks.

"The bad men are coming!" Lucas yelled again.

"'Bad men.' Bad men!" I exclaimed. I gasps and looked at El. "Stay here." Me Mike and Dustin ran upstairs and looked out the window to see Hawkins Power vans.

"What's that guy doing?" Mike asked.

"You don't think..." Dustin tried. Me and Mike run up to Karen who's on the phone.

"Well, I know she and Steve have been spending some time together, so I thought maybe-" Karen started on the phone.

"Mom!" I yelled.

"Well, is they home? Maybe you could ask them?" Karen asks.

"Mom!" I yelled again.

"I'm sorry, can you just hold on, please? Alexander, I'm on the phone. I've told you a million times-" Karen tries.

"Did you schedule any repairs?" I asked.

"What?" Karen asks confused.

"Is there anyone supposed to come and do repairs on the house?" I asked again. Dustin sees more vans arriving and parking outside.

"I don't understand. Is there something wrong-" Karen tries.

"No, Mom, nothing's wrong in the house." I answered.

"Mike, Alex!" Dustin exclaimed.

"One second." I said looking at him.

"Mike, Alex! We need to leave... right now." Dustin exclaims. Me Dustin and Mike run to get Eleven.

"Michael, Alexander!" Karen yells.

"If anyone asks where we are, we've left the country." Mike yelled back.

"What?" Karen asks. Me Mike, Dustin and Eleven run outside and grab the bikes we start running and get on as we see Dr. Brenner and agents walking over to them.

"Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!" Dustin yelled. Me Mike and Dustin start pedalling, the agents getting back in the vans engines starting tires screeching.

"Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God." Dustin yelled. Lucas is heard on the radio

"Dustin! Dustin, do you copy?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, Lucas, they're on us." Dustin answers.

"Where are you?" Lucas asked.

"Cornwallis." Dustin answered.

"Meet me at Elm and Cherry!" Lucas replied.

"Copy. Elm and Cherry!" Dustin continues.

"Okay." I yelled to Dustin. The vans appear behind them.

"Shit!" I yelled.

"This way, come on!" Mike says and leads us somewhere there was indistinct singing and bicycle bell ringing.

"Out of the way! Out of the way!" Dustin yells. Ringing continues. Me Dustin and Mike bike past girls in the playground. Alex Mike and Dustin meet with Lucas on Elm and Cherry.

"Lucas!" I exclaimed.

"Where are they?" Lucas asked.

"I don't know." Mike answered.

"I think we lost them." Dustin answers there were tires screeching.

"Son of a bitch sneaky fuckers haven't lost them." I yelled.

"Go, go, go, go, go!" Mike yells. Dustin starts yelling.

"Go, go, go, go, go! Faster, faster!" I yelled.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" Dustin kept saying. Dustin keeps yelling. A van appears in front of them. Alex and Eleven uses their powers to rocket the van over them and crash behind them tires screeching. The kids arrive and stop their bikes near the bus.

"Holy... holy shit! Did... did you see what she did to that van?" Dustin asks.

"No, Dustin, we missed it." Mike answered.

"I mean that was..." Dustin tried.

"Awesome. It was awesome." Lucas finished. Lucas goes over to the two girls who's sat on the floor and kneels beside them.

"Everything I said about you being a traitor and stuff... I was wrong. I'm sorry." Lucas said to both me and El.

"Friends... friends don't lie. We're sorry, too." El answered for us both.

"Me, too." Mike continues. Mike offers his hand to Lucas. Lucas gets up and shakes his hand. We were sitting in the Junkyard.

"This is Randolph Road, right here. The fence starts here, and goes all the way around. And this is the lab right here. The gate's gotta be in there somewhere. It's gotta be." Lucas explained.

"Well, who owns Hawkins Lab?" I asked.

"The sign says 'Department of Energy.'" Lucas carried on.

"Department of Energy? What do you think that means?" Dustin asked.

"It means government. Military." I answered.

"Then why does it say 'Energy?'" Dustin asked.

"Just trust me, all right? It's military. My dad's told me before." I answered.

"Alex's right. There's soldiers out front." Lucas carried on.

"Do they make, like, lightbulbs or something?" Dustin asked.

"No, weapons... to fight the Russians, and commies and stuff." Mike answered looking at me and El.

"Weapons." Lucas carried on.

"Oh, Jesus, this is bad." Dustin carried on.

"Really bad. The place is like a fortress." Lucas replied.

"Well, what do we do?" Dustin asked.

"I don't know, but we can't go home. We're fugitives now." Mike pointed out. There was a helicopter approaching.

"Guys? Do you hear that?" I asked. We hid our bikes under the bus quickly.

"Go, go, go, go!" Mike yelled.

"Come on, come on! It's stuck." Dustin complains.

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Lucas carried on. We rush into the bus and stay low.

"Hurry up! Hurry, come on!" I yelled.

"Come on!" Lucas continued.

"Go, go, go, go, go, go!" Dustin yelled. I could hear the helicopter whirring.

"Get down!" Lucas said. The helicopter was receding.

"Mental." Dustin piped up. The helicopter was hovering. Nancy is heard on the radio.

"Mike, are you there? Mike?" Nancy asked. Thank god I was not involved.

"You guys hear that?" Dustin asked.

"Mike, it's me, Nancy. Mike, are you there? Answer. Mike, we need you to answer." Nancy continues.

"Is that your sister?" Lucas asked.

"This is an emergency, Mike. Do you copy? Mike, do you copy?" Nancy asks.

"Okay, this is really weird." I stated. Lucas goes to grab the radio.

"Don't answer." Mike yelled.

"She said it was an emergency." Lucas answered.

"What if it's a trick?" I asked.

"It's your sister Mike!" Lucas added on. 

"What if the bad people kidnapped her? What if they're forcing her to say this?" I asked again.

"I need you to answer." Nancy carries on.

"It's like Lando Calrissian. Don't answer." Dustin pips up.

"We need to know that you're there, Mike." Nancy says.

"Listen, kid, this is the chief. If you're there, pick up. We know you're in trouble and we know about the girl." Dad says I just looked at the radio with a sad face.

"Why is she with the chief?" Lucas asked looking at me.

"How am I supposed to know I'm sitting in the same place as you. And nice to know you have an idea of where your child is dad." I answered.

"How the hell does he know about..." Dustin looks confused.

"We can protect you, we can help you, but you gotta pick up. Are you there? Do you copy? Over." Dad carries on not caring about me.

"Yeah, I copy. It's Mike. I'm here. We're here." Mike answered. Dustin starts breathing heavily.

"Will you stop pacing?" I asked.

"It's been way too long. Do you know what? Maybe you're right. Maybe this is all a trap and the bad men are coming to get us right now!" Dustin panics.

"It's not a trap. Why would my dad set us up? Nancy, maybe, but my dad." I answered.

"Lando Calrissian." Dustin carries on.

"Would you shut up about Lando?" I yelled.

"I don't feel good about this. I don't feel good about this!" Dustin says.

"When do you feel good about anything?" Lucas questions. There were vehicles approaching.

"Shit!" Dustin mumbles.

"Go, go, go, go." I yelled. We all run and hide behind the seats.

"Lando." Dustin pipes up.

"You think they saw us?" Lucas asks.

"Both of you, shut up." I answered. The agents get out of their cars and look around one spots the bikes under the bus he opens the bus door and gets knocked out.

"Hey!" I heard an agent yell. The agent grunts

"What the-" The second tried to get out. I could here grunting. The door creaks slightly. Hopper walks into the bus.

"All right, let's go. Let's go!" Dad yelled not noticing me clearly. I just walk past him ignoring him. Nancy, Johnathon and Joyce are sat on the sofa. They see lights and run outside.

"Mike. Oh, my God. Mike!" Nancy yells. Nancy runs over and hugs him.

"Right so Mike gets noticed by his sister but I don't get noticed by my own farther in what world does that fit into." I pipe up. 

"Alex." Johnathon yelled after getting outside. He runs over and hugs me. I could tell dad was looking at me.

"Now you notice me farther don't you." I say looking at Dad "You didn't seem to care on the radio I could of been missing or worse dead." 

"I was so worried about you." Nancy piped up.

"Yeah, uh... me, too." Mike answered.

"Is that my dress?" Nancy asked.

"Nope that was my dress." I answered walking inside.

"Okay, so, in this example, we're the acrobat. Will and Barbara, and that monster, they're this flea. And this is the Upside Down, where Will is hiding. Mr. Clarke said the only way to get there is through a rip of time and space." Mike explains.

"A gate." Dustin carried on.

"That we tracked to Hawkins Lab." Lucas continued.

"With our compasses." Dustin replied. The adults look confused.

"Don't ask me I just tagged along because I was bored at home." I stated. 

"Okay, so the gate has a really strong electromagnetic field and that can change the directions of a compass needle.

"Is this gate underground?" Dad asked.

"Yes." I answered looking at El.

"Near a large water tank?" Dad asked again.

"Yes." I answered yet again.

"How do you know all that?" Dustin asked.

"I want to know this as well farther how do you?" I asked looking at him.

"He's seen it." Mike answered.

"Is there any way that you could... that you could reach Will? That you could talk to him in this-" Joyce tried.

"The Upside Down." El helped her out.

"Down. Yeah." Joyce continued. I just curled into Johnathon lap. 

"And my friend Barbara? Can you find her, too?" Nancy asked. No one seemed to look at me for help. They all knew I had these powers yet I was never asked. Cuts to Alex sat at a table with a picture of Barb and the radio the static starts the static increases the static becomes faint.

"I'm sorry." I answered feeling guilty.

"What? What's wrong? What happened?" Joyce asked.

"I can't find them." I answered. Alex goes to the bathroom and runs the faucet she wipes her face turns faucet off.

"Whenever she uses her powers, she gets weak. Like me." El explains.

"The more energy she uses, the more tired she gets." Dustin continues.

"Like, she flipped the van earlier." Lucas piped it.

"It was awesome." Dustin continues.

"But she's drained." Mike explains.

"Like a bad battery." Lucas decided to mention.

"Well... How do we make her better?" Joyce asked.

"We don't. We just have to wait and try again." Mike answers.

"Well, how long?" Nancy asks.

"I don't know." Mike answers.

"The bath." I stated to El she nodded.

"What?" Joyce asked.

"We can find them. In the bath." I answered.

"Uh-huh." Dustin continues on the phone. There was indistinct chatter over the phone.

"Uh-huh. How much? Uh-huh. Yep, all right. Yeah, we'll be careful. Definitely. All right, Mr. Clarke. Yeah, I'll see you on Monday. I'll see you on Monday, Mr. Clarke. Bye. Do you still have that kiddie pool we bobbed for apples in?" Dustin asked.

"I think so. Yeah. Yeah." Joyce answered.

"Good. Then we just need salt. Lots of it." Dustin continued.

"How much is 'lots?'" Me and dad asked.

"1,500 pounds." Dustin answered.

"Well, where are we gonna get that much salt?" Nancy asked.

"Only one place I know that has that much salt is the school." I answered.

"How do you know that?" Dad asked.

"I've seen them de ice the roads near school with it when it snowed." I answered dad nodded. We went to the school to set the bath up. Dustin wheels the pool into the gym.

"This damn thing is heavy." Dustin complains. Him and Lucas set it up.

"Come on. It's upside down." I stated.

"No, this way." Lucas tried to explain.

"Okay, um... How does this even work?" Dustin asked.

"Try that side." Lucas answered.

"Son of a bitch!" I yelled after hitting my foot against the wall.

"Pull it back. Pull it back." Lucas shouted.

"I am!" Dustin yells back.

"One, two, three." Lucas counted.

"Well done you can count too three." I sarcastically answer.

"Shit!" Dustin yelled. I ran to where Joyce and El were to get set up. Joyce was taping two pairs of safety goggles. Joyce sits wit me and El.

"This will keep it dark for you. Just like in your bathtub. You're a very brave girl. You know that, don't you? Everything you're doing for my boy... for Will... for my family... Thank you. Alex your helping Will like always I'm glad he has a friend like you thank you." Joyce says holding our hands.

"If I was ever in the situation Will is in he would try to everything in his power to save me like I'm doing for him." I answered. She smiles wide and nods.

"Listen. I am gonna be there with you two the whole time. And if it ever gets too scary... in that place, you just let me know, okay?" Joyce asks.

"Yes." El answered and I nodded.

"Ready?" Joyce asked.

"As I'll ever be." I answered.

"Ready." El continued. Nancy and Mike set up the hoses and attach them to the faucets Lucas keeps track of the temperature.

"Colder! Warmer! Right there!" Lucas yells. Hopper and Jonathan empty the salt into the pool while I sit next to it Dustin tests it with an egg it sinks. Hopper and Jonathan add more salt I just watch and check the water. Dustin puts an egg in the water it floats. Mike puts the radio on a table nearby static.

Eleven takes off her socks and the watch. I take my shoes and socks off and walks over to the side of the bath. She puts on the taped goggles and gets into the pool. I look at Lucas and he nods and I copy El's actions. The electricity surging. Me and Eleven starts breathes heavily we looks around.

"Barb? Barbara?" El asked. Eleven breathes heavily as I look around. She walks over to something she sees that it's Barb covered in goo with something coming out of her mouth. There was electricity surges.

"What's going on?" Nancy asked.

"I don't know." Mike answered.

"Is Barb okay? Is she okay?" Nancy asked.

"Gone! Gone! Gone! Gone! Gone! Gone. Gone." El yells. Nancy starts crying.

"Gone." I yell.

"It's okay. It's okay. It's okay." Joyce tries.

"Gone. Gone!" Me and El yell.

"It's okay. It's okay." Joyce tries again.

"Gone!" El yells.

"Hey. It's okay. It's okay, we're right here. We're right here, honey. It's okay. I got you two. Don't be afraid. I'm right here with you. I'm right here with you. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay, you're safe. You're okay, honey." Joyce tries. Alex sees Castle Byers, Barb has disappeared.

"Castle Byers. Castle Byers." I yell. Eleven opens the fort and goes inside. I walk next to her.

"Will. Will?" El asks. Joyce gasps.

"You tell him... tell him I'm coming. Mom is coming." Joyce yells.

"Mom... she's coming for you." I tell Will.

"Hurry." Will answers.  Will's voice is heard on the radio.

"Hurry." Will continues.

"Okay. Listen, you tell him to... to stay where he is. We're coming. We're coming, okay? We're coming, honey." Joyce carries on.

"Just... just hold on a little longer. Will. Will." Me and El tell Will. There low growling things start disappearing in Castle Byers.

"Will? Will!" I yell. There was whimpering on radio. Dustin and Mike gasp as Eleven and Alex wakes up. 

"Oh!" Joyce starts. Eleven and Alex starts breathing heavily Joyce pulls them into a hug.

"Oh, okay, okay. I've got you both. It's okay. I got you both. I got you both. I got you both, honey. You two did so good. Are you okay?" Joyce asks. Eleven and Alex starts to cry. They give Tessa and Eleven a towel and make them sit down. El leans against Mike and Lucas makes sure she's covered and Alex leans on Dustin and he makes sure she's okay.

"So this fort. Where is it?" Dad asked. I run to dad and hug him.

"Please be safe I love you." I said into his chest.

"I should be the one worrying about you not the other way round but stay safe and I love you too." Dad answers. I let go and walk back to El and the boys.

"Uh, it's in the woods behind our house." Joyce answers dads question.

"Yeah, he used to go there to hide." Me and Jonathan carries on Hopper leaves, followed by Joyce and Jonathan.
