I was sat in the living room trying to convince dad to let me out with the party.

"Dad please I'll be back before 10 I promise." I promised him.

"Remind me who will be there?" Dad asked.

"Lucas Will Max maybe El and Mike. Dustin is away somewhere so he won't be there." I answered.

"Where would you be going?" Dad asked.

"Starcourt Mall." I answered.

"Where will you be going in there?" He asked again.

"The cinema dad we went over this at least 10 times." I answered.

"Fine you can go just be home before 10 and here's ten bucks." Dad stated handing me ten bucks.

"Thanks dad I love you." I said before running outside to get my blue bike that was standing up against the wall. I was standing with the boys and Max. I was leaning against Lucas waiting for Mike to show up. Me and Lucas were to busy kissing to notice Mike show up.

"You're late." Will pipes up which made me and Lucas split up.

"Sorry!" Mike exclaimed.

"Again." I pointed out.

"We're going to miss the opening." Will carried on.

"Yeah, if you keeping whining about it. Let's go!" Mike started. 

""If you guys keep whining about it. Nyeh-nyeh-nyeh."" Lucas mimicked making me laugh.

"Just please stop talking, dude." Mike begged. We enter Starcourt.

"Let me guess. You were busy." I stated then smacks my lips.

"Oh, yeah, real mature, Alex." Mike piped up.

" "Oh, El, I wish we could make out forever, and never hang out with any of our friends."" I carried on.

"Alex, stop." Mike carried on.

"Will thinks it's funny." I pointed out.

"Because it is." Will answered making me laugh.

"Yeah, it's so funny that I want to spend romantic time with my girlfriend." Mike stated.

"I'm spending romantic time with my girlfriend." Lucas said putting his arm around me pulling me into his side. Mike, Max, Will, Alex and Lucas start using the escalator but they're impatient so they begin pushing past people.

"Hey!" Some girl exclaimed.

"Excuse us! Sorry! Sorry!" Mike stated.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry!" Lucas carried on.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry." Max piped up.

"Sorry." Me and Will start. The mall is very busy and I mean very busy.

"Hey!" One of the girls yells.

"Watch it!" The other says.

"Yeah! Watch it, nerds!" Erica piped up to me and Lucas. Erica is eating ice cream by the fountain with her friends.

"Isn't it past your bedtime?" I asked. Me and Erica got to the point where we acted the same as her and Lucas did.

"Isn't it time you died?" She asked.

"Psycho!" Lucas answered making me smile.

"Butthead!" Erica replied,

"Mall rat!" I shouted.

"Fart face!" Erica carried on. Me and Lucas blew a raspberry at her.

"Oh, now that was mature." Max stated. We arrived at Scoops Ahoy where Steve worked. I ring the bell repeatably.

"Hey, dingus, your children are here." Robin yelled to Steve. I had met Robin before where I came here on my own to watch something or was hungry. Steve opens the divider between the back room and where we were.

"Again? Seriously?" Steve asked. I rang the bell again. Steve rushes us out to the back room and into the staff hallway.

"Come on, come on. I swear, if anybody hears about this-" Steve started.

"We're dead!" We answer. Steve then leaves. Mike peeks his head through the staff door of the movie theatre.

"All clear." Mike stated. The group walk into a theatre screen. The pre-movie jingle starts playing. The movie fanfare starts playing not long after. Some funk music could be heard.

"See, Lucas Alex? We made it." Mike said to us

"We missed the previews." I pointed out.

"Still made it. Fart face." Max piped up.

"Shh." A girl in front of us said.

"Skittles." Lucas said handing me some I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks." I answered. The audio slows then stop. The lights flicker, and then the power goes out. The crowd clamours.

"Come on!" Max complains.

"Come on!" I yell.

When the lights come on I could tell something was wrong with Will but I wasn't sat next to him so I couldn't of asked him. I was stuck between Max and Lucas. I was leaning my head on Lucas's shoulder and my legs were over his lap.

I stayed the night at Lucas's house. I had somehow convinced dad to let me stay at Lucas's since I had never stayed before. I woke up about 10 minutes ago and decided to stay in Lucas's arms because it was warm in his arms. I had my back prest against his chest his arms were around my stomach and his head was on my shoulder.

The party was at Dustin's setting up for his welcome home thing since he came home today. Me and El could tell he was home so we controlled some of Dustin's stuff when he got in.

"It's just a dream. You're dreaming." I heard him say. We were in a different room to him.

Mike had told El so do something then all the toys powered down. I lead the party to where Dustin was. I screamed slightly to scare Dustin which made him scream and spray something in my face. 

"Shit Dustin you dick." I yelled trying to wipe my eyes. Lucas and Max was helping me wash the hairspray from my eyes.

"Ow, ow, ow. Ow." I groaned.

"Better?" Max asked.

"Still stings." I answered. I notice something on Max's head but didn't say anything I'm guessing Lucas noticed it as well since he pointed to it.

"Is that a new zit?" Lucas asked her.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked him. I switched places with Lucas and me and Max sticks his head under the faucet.

"I was just asking!" He yelled.

"Don't do it again." I stated pulling his head out and started wiping it down.

"Do what?" He asked.

"Ask if a girl has a zit idiot because we don't like that." I answered. 

Dustin was taking us somewhere so he could contact his 'girlfriend'.

"Aren't we high enough?" Lucas asked.

"Cerebo works best at a hundred meters." Dustin answered.

"You know, I'm pretty sure people in Utah have telephones." Max suggested.

"Yeah, but Suzie's Mormon." Dustin replied.

"Oh, shit. She doesn't have electricity?" Lucas asked I looked at him.

"Oh, that's the Amish." I answered.

"What are Mormons?" Will asked.

"Super religious white people. They have electricity and cars and stuff, but... since I'm not Mormon, her parents would never approve. It's all a bit... Shakespearean." Dustin tried.

"Shakespearean?" Max asked.

"Yeah. Like Romeo and Juliet." Dustin answered.

"Right." I stated.

"Star-crossed lovers." He carried on.

"We got it." Max points out.

"Hey, guys! This is fun and all, but, uh..." Mike starts. I looked at him.

"I have to go home." El finished I just shook my head knowing it was a lie.

"We're almost there." Dustin tried.

"Sorry, man. Curfew. [to El] Come on, let's go." Mike said lying. I don't think he remembers me and El have the same dad now.

"[to Dustin] Good luck." El said then she giggles. Mike and El leave quickly.

"Curfew at 4:00?" Dustin asked looking at me. I shook my head.

"They're lying." Lucas points out.

"(yells to El) Curfew isn't till 11pm dumbass." I yelled to El.

"You're dad's letting you out till 11pm?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah I know my response exactly." I answered.

"It's been like this all summer." Will points out.

"Me and Alex don't blow you guys off for kissing." Lucas said.

"And we are forever grateful of that." Will answered.

"But when we hang out with the party we do end up kissing." I pointed out.

"True." Lucas agrees.

"It's romantic." Max says.

"It's gross." Will answeres making me laugh. 

"It's bullshit. I just got home. Well, their loss, right? Onwards and upwards! Suzie awaits!" Dustin says. Me and Lucas sigh annoyed. Fluttering sounds could be heard. Will senses something isn't right – he apparently has his own brand of spidey sense.

"Will, come on!" Dustin yells. Will runs up the hill to catch up.

"Made it." Dustin says as we make it to the top.

"Yeah, only took five hours." Max answers.

"Why couldn't we just play D&D?" Will asks. Lucas opens the canteen.

"I'm so thirsty." Lucas points out. He greedily drinks the water. He was gulping loudly.

"Did you seriously just drink the rest of our water?" I asked him annoyed. Lucas looks at her for a second, the cogs in his head spinning trying to find a way to fix the situation – he ends up spitting the mouthful of water he has back into the canteen and offering it to me with a smile – teenage boys are gross. I just snatch the bottle not caring and knack the rest of the water. Will, Max, Lucas and Dustin finish setting up Cerebro. I couldn't help because of girl problems so they let me sit out.

"Pretty impressive, right?" Dustin asked.

"Yeah." Max lied.

"Now, you ready to meet my love?" Dustin asked,

"Is it bad I'm never ready when it comes to you." I answered. Lucas sat next to me and laughed.

"Okay, sure. Yeah." Max answered. Radio switches on.

"Suzie, this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over." Dustin tried. Radio static hissing.

"One sec. She's probably... She's still there. Suzie... this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over." Dustin kept trying. Radio static hissing.

"I'm sure she's there. It's just-" Dustin tried.

"Yeah." I answered.

"You know, maybe she's, like, busy or-" Dustin continued.

"Yeah." Lucas carried on.

"It's around dinnertime." Dustin managed to spill out.

"Mmm." I mumbled. 

"Yep." Max carries on. We obviously don't believe that Suzie is real.

"Here. Suzie, do you copy? This is Dustin. Over." Dustin continued. Radio static hissing. 

"Suzie, do you copy? This is Dustin. Over." Dustin tried. Radio static hissing.

I ran home, with Lucas hot on my heals, because I was hungry and didn't have any money on me since I left it on my bed. Mike and El are making out in our room again. Reo speedwagon "Can't fight this feeling" plays. I sighed slightly and started opening my door.

"♪ ...than I ever thought I might ♪

♪ And I can't fight this feeling

Anymore... ♪" The radio continues as I pull the couple apart. The song continues. Someone knocks the door.

"Hey." Dad said.

"Yes?" El asked as I sat down on the bed Lucas sat on the floor in front of my legs..

"Can I talk to you guys a minute?" Dad asked. El uses her powers to open the door – Hopper enters the room like a Zebra walking into a Lion's den. The song continues.

"Hi." Dad starts.

"Hi?" El and Mike asked. Hopper pulls up a chair and sits by the bed with us. He turns the radio off. 

"Um... What I, uh... needed to say to you... What I wanted to say to you... is that, um..." Dad tried.

"Uh-oh. [sarcastically] I think we're in trouble." Mike said to u me and El. El and Mike are chuckling next to me which sets me off. Dad is unamused. We were all still chuckling.

"No. No, nobody's in trouble, okay? I just, um... Uh..." Dad tries again. Mike leans over to me and El and whispers something to us which makes us laugh. Dad is angry and is glaring at Mike.

"You know what? Both of your moms called." Dad piped up.

"What?" Mike asked.

"Yeah. They need you home right away." Dad answers.

"Is everything okay?" Mike asked making me look at dad.

"No, I don't think so. It's your grandmas." Dad answered.

"Mike tell me how she is when you can." I sate.

"Okay I will." He answers.

"Thanks buddy." I said doing our handshake.

"Love you Alex." Lucas says before leaving.

"Love you too." I answer sitting down.
