Screw me. No actually, kidnap me and force me to write I cannot describe just how sorry I am for being so late in updating!

Also, new cover! Tell me what you think of it. Now go ahead and enjoy this chapter!

Magnus didn't admit this often but he was scared.

Dead bodies were spread around like a feast before him. A feast for the demons hovering over them and the ones flying in the dark sky like greedy vultures.

Downworlder blood was spilled everywhere along with Nephilim blood. The whole place reeched of the metallic smell of blood and Magnus feelt like throwing up.

He saw a warlock girl collapse as a Shax demon rippef her body apart. Magnus rushed towards her to help, to do anything he could but his magic wasn't working. His body wasn't working.

His hands passed through the warlock as she pleaded for help, screaming in agony. And he could only watch helplessly as her breathing ceased.

He hated this - not being able to do anything. To see an innocent life extinguish before his eyes. Which was why when he heard a cry he ran  in its direction - and stopped short.

No.

Not him.

Not his Alexander.

But it was his Alexander, who stood in front of a huge demon with nothing but a bow and arrow to defend himself. He doesn't even know how to use it", Magnus thought, desperately trying to ignite his magic.

But he could only watch in horror as the demon sent Alec crashing down into ruins, impaling him in the stomach.

"Alexander!"

                                ***

Magnus woke up with a start and found himself on the floor, his body shining with sweat and his breathing as ragged as could be.

He slowly gathered his surroundings and realized that he had been having a nightmare and had probably fallen from his bed at one point of time.

A shiver ran down his spine as the image of a dead Alec resurfaced in his mind and he immediately pushed it away.

He took one look at the cat shaped clock hanging on the wall and groaned. He was late. His clients could be lining up any moment.

Quickly magicking himself into a pair of leather pants and button down shirt, he ploppef down on the sofa, a coffee appearing in his hand as he prepared himself for the incoming day.

Magnus was sometimes astonished by the stupidity of mundanes, and that was saying something as he had been through his fair share of surprising events.

Twice he turned down requests of a love potion, having to portal away the man who started begging and crying on his knees. He raised a demon from the depths of Edom, only to find his client taking photographs for a 'project' and had to demolish his camera - he couldn't let the Shadow World be discovered to petty mundanes. At least they played well...

But despite that, Magnus was well annoyed at having half of his Sunday ruined when he could have been spending it with his hotter-than-the-sun boyfriend.

When his last client came in, asking him to raise a specific demon, Magnus was engrossed in the thoughts of aforementioned boyfriend and almost completely tuned him out. In the end, the werewolf left after getting him to sign a contract and saying something about meeting him in the evening.

Which was when it struck Magnus that he had signed up to raise a demon the same evening. He cursed himself for not paying attention. Really, he was just asking for one Sunday evening with Alexander.

Sighing, he postponed the rest of his appointments. He could make the best of his situation before he had to leave for work. Throwing his mind into his outfit - he always had to dress to impress - he emerged moments later in black and gold striped pants and a crimson long jacket with golden chains and studs all over and a black crop top underneath. And of course, he had matched his highlights and nail polish accordingly.

Magnus Bane was anything if not color coordinated.

Sometimes he wished Alec had a quarter of his fashion sense instead of roaming around in holed up sweaters. But then, that was what he was for.

He straddled the box in his arms and set off with a merry smile. Alexander sure did know how to lift up his mood.

The door opened to a startled looking Alec who eyed Magnus with a mixture of expressions.

"Magnus", he said, stepping back and letting the glittery man in anyway.
" Didn't expect to see you today."

"Well, I can always leave", Magnus arched an eyebrow, turning to leave.

Immediately he felt Alec grab his hand in panic. " No, I didn't mean its not nice to see you, its always nice to see you ", he rushed, getting worked up.

Magnus chuckled and leaned to give him a peck on the lips. " I was just joking darling", he purred. He would never get tired of the way Alec blushed or got worked up over small things.

"Oh", Alec exhaled, slowly, as realization dawned. He ducked his head as a sheepish smile overshadowed his face. Magnus interlaced his arm in Alec's.

" Come on, now. You know how I love when you get flustered", he winked, guiding them towards the couch.

"Oh, I almost forgot, I got you something", Magnus, smirked, whisking out the parcel from underneath his coat.

Alec looked at him as if he had grown am extra pair of limbs.

" For me?" he asked, rather dumbfounded as he accepted the gift.

"No its for the President", Magnus deadpanned, earning a chuckle from Alec. He opened the box and took out the majestic blue scarf, running his fingers through its soft material.

" Its beautiful", Alec smiled, looking up to see the pleasure in Magnus' eyes as he heard the statement.

"It brings out the blue in you eyes", Magnus murmured, as he gently tied the scarf around Alexander's neck.

Alec's eyes followed his hands as he patted the scarf in place. Magnus looked up and barely had time to breathe before he found Alec's mouth on his, kissing him deeply as he shoved Magnus against his chest, tongue fiercely exploring the warlock's mouth. Magnus kissed back feverently, trying to devour every bit of him. hhem came up, gasping for air with identical grins on their faces.

" If that is your way of saying thanks you can expect loads of gifts from me, Alexander", Magnus purred.

Alec just blushed, managing a little laugh. And then Magnus' eyes landed on the television to see that his boyfriend had apparently been watching something.

Something unimaginable.

"Were you watching Harry Potter?" Magnus asked, barely containing his laughter and astonishment.

Alec spluttered as he locked his eyes with the screen, trying to cover it as if that would just erase its existence.

"That was for Max- I mean he wanted to watch it with me", he protested loudly, waving his hands around, something Magnus always found adoring.

He was so screwed.

" Well, is little Max here?" Magnus grinned, pretending to look around.

Alec gave a small helpless shrug, looking down at his shoes. "I couldn't leave them in between", he muttered.

" Aha!" Magnus exclaimed triumphantly, at which Alec jumped. "I knew you liked them. This is the Deathly Hallows part 2 right? Lets finish it."

Still as a statue, Alec watched Magnus plopping down and hitting play. He gave a non-committal shrug and took his place beside him.

He could have sworn that the bowl of popcorn before them had been almost empty but now it was full to the brim. He blinked his eyes, trying to figure it out but then Magnus pulled him closer by his waist and he forgot all about it.

He must have eaten way less than he had thought. After all, it couldn't have appeared magically.

                                 ***

Watching a movie with Alec had been a wonderful experience. Magnus had been the viewer of all his little expressions and explosions of anger and disbelief. He watched the blue eyed boy's scrunch up his eyebrows while trying to figure something and the mesmerizing dimples that made frequent appearances, much to Magnus' delight.

Magnus could feel himself falling into love. Hard and fast.

Alec had caught him staring in the end at which Magnus had promptly replied he was the most beautiful thing in the room to look at which to nobody's surprise, led to a heated make out session.

Magnus was just kissing along Alec's collarbone, the scarf discarded, as the latter moaned his name when the shrill ring of a phone made the couple jump in surprise.

Alec frowned as he took out his phone and swore out loud while fumbling to pick up the call.

"Izzy", he exhaled.
" I'm so, so sorry! Yeds I'm just on my way. I'll be there in 10 minutes."

Magnus felt like cursing.

If it had been anyone other than Isabelle Lightwood stealing away his boyfriend he would have probably locked them up and sent them to Alaska.

Alec turned to look at Magnus, biting at his upper lip. He was still trying to compose an answer when Magnus raised a finger against his lips.

"It's alright dear", he smiled.
"I have an errand to take care of."

It was true. He still had some time before his appointment with his client, and God he hated arriving early, but well he had no other choice.

Alec smiled gratefully, grabbing his jacket. "I'll see you tomorrow?"

Magnus kissed him softly in response. "You'll see me soon enough."

Neither of them knew how soon they would be meeting.

                                ***

Magnus was just going through the contract and realized that he had signed up for a hell lot of things. Nothing too disastrous though.

Wait, but he hadn't realized that the request to summon a demon had come from Shadowhunters.

Now that was unusual, to say the least. But then it explained the cordoned off, dark location. The Nephilom certainly didn't want to be caught breaking the rules.

He flicked his fingers to light up the place and sighed. His client, or clients since it was a group of Nephilim, were late and Magnus definitely didn't like to be kept waiting. He tapped his foot impatiently, looking at the full moon through the small window. It was a perfect time to raise demons.

He must have been lost in his thoughts for he did not hear the Shadowhunters come in.

"Magnus Bane?"

The warlock frowned at the voice. Bold, feminine and - he knew that voice.

He whirled around to find himself facing the group of Nephilims.

Two young, heavily armed females(a brunette and a red head) , flanked by two males on each side, one unarmed. All highly recognizable.

But it was their leader who made Magnus freeze at his place and his brain stop working.

Tall. Muscles. Dark hair. Blue eyes.

"Alexander?"

And that was the moment you all had been waiting for! It was so exciting and fun to write!

What do you think will happen next? How is everybody going to react?

This is the point of turning.

I'll do my very nest to update as soon as I can but I can't promise anything. So thanks for all those who have stuck with me up til now, hold on, its a rocky path ahead.
