Chap. 7: Trump Card
ĸaι'ѕ p.o.v.
Luca and I meet up in the boys' bathroom during physical education. I glare at him while a stupid smirk appears on his face. "What's your problem, O'Brien?" he asks me nonchalantly. Fury courses through my veins as I struggle to control my emotions. "You stupid fuck," I manage to get out, gritting my teeth.
"Why do you say that, you bastard?" Luca chuckles lightly to himself. He's pleased with himself. I feel very much like Ms. Norbury from Mean Girls right now. I decide to pull my trump card.
"I know what you did to Michael," I smirk lightly, watching Luca Richards grow more pale than a ghost. He's uneasy now. Good job, me. "W-what do you know?" he stammers, his eyes wide with slight fear, looking around as if someone were to enter and help him out of the situation. But he knows it's for naught; no one else needs to use the bathroom until after they down a bottle of water.
"I know that you hurt him," I continue on. I'm partly telling the truth, partly lying. I don't know how Luca hurt Michael. Luca's nervousness grows as he rushes out of the bathroom. I sigh once he's gone; I wanted him to blurt the whole story out if he was anxious enough.
I'm not giving up. I won't give up this easily. Michael Moore lies, saying he's okay. I know he's not. He's broken.
Questions. And no, I'm not talking about the President of the United States. I'm talking about the final resort but the easiest way out. Also, one of the readers suggested Michael's point-of-view in the next chapter.
1.) What was Kai's trump card?
2.) What was Luca's emotion throughout the chapter?
