Percy's POV

I stared out the hospital window, squinting because of the glare of the sunlight. I watched as Annabeth got into her car and drove away. Sighing, I lie back into my bed and check my phone.

I knew who they were from. I haven't been at school for like, 3 days without explanation, of course Rachel would text me trying to know where I was. I decided to watch a few movies on the TV provided on the wall in front of me.

It left me with some joy, but not enough. I tried sleeping, but kept tossing and turning from the uncomfortableness.

When I finally felt my eyes close, I heard the door click open. I ignored it, hoping for the person to leave. I listened to the clink of metal on the table next to me and the door closed again. A few moments later, I drifted off.
