I maneuvered Spencer's car towards his garage. Hindi bababa sa sampung sports car ang naroon. I've been here for a lot of times already but I still can't help but be in awe as I stared at his cars. Halatang alagang-alaga ang mga ito. They all seems new even some were Spencer's collection for almost a decade already.

From where I am, I can clearly see the frown in his forehead while watching his car entered his garage. His eyes were fixed near the headlights of his precious baby that I borrowed. Malapit sa parte ng headlight kung saan bumangga ang barrier ng race track.

I turned the engine off after stopping at the middle of his garage. Doon ihininto dahil alam kong titignan pa ni Spencer iyon. I caught him hastily walking towards my direction. Hindi na nakatiis na hindi lapitan ang sasakyan. At nang tumapat siya roon ay nahuli ko ang pagngiwi ng kanyang mga labi.

I waited for the dihedral doors to full opened before getting out of the car.

"Spence--"

"How are you? Are you fine?" He cutted my words that made me blinked twice.

That wasn't the words I am expecting from him after I banged his car. I'm expecting him to utter a series of profanities as he checked his baby car.

"I am. Why are you asking?" Nangingiting sambit ko, tila nahihiwagaan sa mga sinasabi niya.

"Nabangga ka. I can tell because of my car's condition--" That's when I saw how his eyes changed. Nawalan iyon ng ekspresyon na para bang natauhan. He made face as he stared at me.

Matapos ay tinalikuran niya ako at sinimulang inspeksyunin ang sira ng sasakyan.

"About that, babayaran na lang kita sa magagastos mo sa pagpapagawa." I winced at the last words. It'll surely cost me a fortune.

"I'll pay you for..." I trailed of as I bit my lower lip. Nananantya ko siyang tinignan. Pumaling ang ngiti sa aking mga labi nang naningkit ang kanyang mga mata. "For installment. You know, I don't have enough money for its full payment. Masasagad ang pera sa account ko."

Yeah, it costs that much. I don't have too much money. Mayroon sa trust fund ko ngunit ayaw ko naman iyong galawin. I can earn on my own then I'll pay Spencer afterwards.

His eyes narrowed. "Is that why it took you a few days to finally returned it?"

My lips parted at what he said. Well, yes. Bahagya akong tinablan ng hiya dahil matapos walang pagaalinlanggang ipinahiram sa akin ni Spencer ang kotse niya ay ganito ang mangyayari. Malaki ang sira sa unahan at hindi ko pa mababayaran ng buo ang pagpapagawa.

"Yeah, you can say that. Though my schedule is really a bit tight the past days too."

"You're busy?" He asked without even looking at me. He continued inspecting his car.

"No, I was with Maverick... but, yeah a little bit hectic in the office," diretsong sagot ko na nakakuha ng kanyang atensyon. He stopped checking his car as his eyes darted at me.

He slammed his hands on one another like he touched something with dust as he stood straight. "Maverick? Your ex-boyfriend?" 

"Yes." The corner of my lips lifted.

We continued having lunch together. The only difference is, Maverick is the one going in LM&L and sometimes he's fetching me for a lunch outside. After office hours, he'll fetch me and we'll do anything we want together.

I felt in peace those days. Despite the heavy workloads, I can still smile as I know at the end of the day I will get to see Maverick.

"How much do you think the damages would cost?" I asked as I started eyeing his car, like what he's doing earlier.

He placed his hands on his waist. "You don't need to pay. I'll go somewhere later. Samahan mo na lang ako. You're paid after that."

My eyes narrowed at his offer. "You sure?"

"Yeah. Just free your whole day." He motioned his hand.

Nagtagal ang tingin ko sa kanya bago tumango. "When are we leaving?" My brow raised because as I asked.

The corner of his mouth quirked up for a smirk. "Ngayon na. Let me get my keys first." He tilted his head towards where his keys are in.

I bobbed my head for a nod. Agad naman niya akong tinalikuran para kunin ang susi ng kanyang kotse.

I fished my phone from my black jeans' pocket as I dialed my secretary's number.

"Good morning, Rylli!" Chaileigh greeted.

My lips turned to a smile. "Morning, Cha. Kindly cancel all my appointments for today," I informed her as my eyes followed Spencer.

"Right away, Ma'am." She playfully muttered that made me shook my head.

I'm still wondering why Chaileigh applied as my secretary. They have a company on their own. Though, because of what she did we became close again. Like what we used to before. So I won't complain.

After calling her, I immediately look for Maverick's number and dialed it.

"Rylli!" He answered after a few while. "Are you in your office already?"

I bit my lower lip as I turned my back when I saw Spencer returning. "No. About that, I won't be in the office the whole day. I can't have lunch with you," I whispered the last words while still nibbling my lower lip. "I'm sorry."

"No need to apologize, Rylli." I can imagine him frowning as he told me those words.

"Hmm. I will..." I trailed off as I glanced behind when I felt Spencer's presence. When our eyes met, he entered the car I borrowed and parked it near his Benz. "I'll be with Spencer the whole day." Nananantyang sambit ko. Though, I know he won't stop me.

Natahimik ang kabilang linya kaya naman muli akong nagpatuloy.

"You know him already right? I mean, I told you already he's my friend. I borrowed the car from him and I need to pay for the damages. May pupuntahan siya, he asked me to go with him as a payment," sambit ko. I want to inform him everything. So that it won't be one of our problem in the future.

"How much is the damage? I'll pay for it," he immediately asked like no matter how much the cost would be, he's ready to pay for it.

Agad ko naman iyong inilingan na tila makikita niya ang aking reaksyon. "No way, Mav! Its my fault so I'll pay for it. No need to worry. I'll be alright with Spence, he's a good friend." I assured. I know he insisted to pay because he thought I'm forced to go with Spencer.

"You sure?" Paninigurado niya.

I hummed. "Yes. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright. Take care. You can call me anytime you want."

I bit my lower lip to suppress the smile forming in my lips. "Yes. I will. Bye, Maverick."

The call ended while Spencer's black car is already in front of me. This one is a bit less flashy than the one I borrowed. Napahinga naman ako ng maluwag dahil doon.

After settling at the passenger's seat, he immediately maneuvered the car put of his garage.

"Where are we going?" I asked as my eyes darted at clothes. I was only wearing black jeans and white v-neck plain shirt. Its not loose like what I used to wear before. Tama lang ang laki noon para bahagyang sundan ang korte ng aking katawan. Though, its not that fit on my body.

"Later, you'll see. Let's buy gifts first," he grinned before focusing his whole attention on the road.

I looked at his clothes and he's just wearing casual clothes too. So maybe, wherever we'll go, its not something formal.

Though, we will buy gifts? We'll probably go to somewhere where there's a celebration.

It took us a few minutes before we finally arrived at the mall and he immediately walked towards a toy store.

Nahihiwagaan ko siyang tinignan matapos naming makapasok doon. But I didn't asked and just walked beside him.

My brow rose when I saw him getting a cart. Not just an average cart but a big one. "What are you? A Santa Claus?"

He let out a chuckle. "Well, if you say so." Then he lifted his shoulders for a shrug. "We'll get anything for boy and for girl."

I blinked at him as i slowly shook my head, hindi pa rin makapaniwala sa gusto niyang gawin. 

"Pupunuin 'yan?" Nahihiwagaang tanong ko. I pointed the cart he's pushing using my forefinger.

He nodded as he wiggled his brows. "Uh-huh."

"Alright," I muttered in between my chuckles, natatawa sa ginagawa niyang ekspresyon.

Sinunod ko ang sinabi niyang punuin ang cart. Kumuha ako ng iba't ibang laruan at walang pagaalinlanggang inilagay iyon sa cart. He didn't told me a particular toy so I placed everything I saw. Iba't ibang klase at disenyo ang kinuha ko.

The cart is almost full when I realized Spencer's missing.

I pulled the cart towards the end of the hallway. Magaan lang iyon kahit halos puno na dahil puro laruan lang ang laman noon. Dahilan para madali ko iyong madala saan mang lugar na gustuhin.

Doon ko sinubukang hanapin si Spencer. Iginala ko ang tingin sa kabuuan ng paligid at agad namang nakita si Spence.

He's now walking near me.

"What's that?" I asked when I saw him holding a large bag of toy. It was a pink colored one whom I think still needs to be assembled.

"A doll house," he answered in a matter-of-fact tone. May ngiti sa kanyang mga labi. There's also something in his eyes, I saw it gleamed.

"Guess you have a favoritism. Or is that for the birthday celebrant?" I concluded with a smirk in my lips. A large doll house, huh? And when I said large, it's really is. The tallest piece stands until Spencer's waist.

"Guess you're right?" He grinned.

I stared at him, dumbfounded but a smile is etched in my face. I'm right? Alin sa dalawa, that he have a favoritism or that's for the celebrant?

"Let's go. I think, that's enough," he muttered, pertaining to the toys in our cart.

Sa huli ay napailing na lamang ako. Inabot niya sa akin ang doll house na hawak niya at siya ang nagtulak ng aming cart patungo sa counter.

The staffs immediately assist us. Wala namang masyadong customer, kung meron man ay iilang laruan lang binili. Hindi tulad ni Spencer na akala mong magpapasko at mamimigay ng regalo.

The toys in the cart costs eighteen thousand three hundred ninety-nine. While the doll house is almost fifteen thousand.

Muli akong napailing kay Spencer matapos makita ang kabuuan ng nabili niya para lang sa laruan.

"I'll pay for those," I muttered as I fished my car from my purse.

"Ako na, Ry--"

I immediately cutted his words. "Let me. For you car? "

He frowned. "I told you, you don't have to pay."

"I insist. Besides, this is nothing if I'll pay the damages of your car that I made. So let me, will you?" I tilted my head as I gave him a smile saying 'let me do what I want' before turning to the cashier. I handed her my card. Agad naman niyang kinuha iyon ay wala ng nagawa si Spencer.

He sighed as he raised both of his hands, accepting defeat. I quietly smirked as I knowingly eyed him.

While he grimaced at me with an annoyed expression in his face that made me chuckle. "As if I'll win over you," he murmured but its still enough for me to hear it clearly.

My lips stretched into a smile while still smirking a bit. "You'll never."

He faced me as his eyes narrowed. Matapos ay agad na lumipad ang kamay niya sa aking harapan at walang pakundangang pinitik ang aking noo.

"Aray!" I winced.

At nahihiwagaan niya akong tinitigan dahil doon. "OA? Hindi naman malakas 'yon!"

Naiiling niyang kinuha ang mga laruan na ngayon ay naiayos na ng staff ng shop. Nakalagay iyon sa apat na paperbag na may logo ng toy store. Habang ang doll house ay nasa pinakamalaking paperbag. Ako na ang nagdala noon habang si Spencer naman sa apat na paperbag.

We quickly arrived at his car. Mabuti at hindi nalaglag ang mga buhat ni Spencer. I was chuckling while Spence's pouting the whole time we're walking towards the parking lot. Dahil iyon kay Spencer na halos matabunan ng mga paperbag na bitbit niya.

At matapos mailagay sa backseat ng kotse ang lahat ng pinamili ay noon niya ako sinamaan ng tingin.

I was about to go towards the passenger's seat when the door near the driver seat of the car beside Spencer's opened. Dahilan para mapahinto ako upang hindi ako makasagabal sa paglabas ng sino mang naroon.

A man went out of it as he shut the door closed. He's holding his sunglasses and was about to wear it when our eyes met.

I stilled as I saw the familiar built of the man I loathe. A smirk slowly formed in his lips as he saw how my face darkened.

"Babe, its been awhile!"
