"Any idea why Nishinoya hasn't asked Asahi out yet? It's sooooooo obvious he likes him."

Were the words that came out of a girl's mouth as I walked down the hall towards my homeroom.

"I know righttt, and I think Asahi likes him to." Another girl squealed.

Tch I thought to myself, clenching my fists.

Did it ever cross their minds that maybe I like Noya? Then again I guess that since we've been best friends for so long no one would expect me of all people.

Also, what they don't know is that Asahi confessed to Noya but in the end he got rejected because Noya 'only thought of him as a close friend'. Because of that I refuse to tell him my feelings.

After calming myself and my feelings down I continued towards homeroom.

Once I got there a familiar shorty called my name.

"Hey Tanaka!" He yelled from across the classroom, as smile spread along his face.

"Yo!" I replied, damn that smile of his is so damn cute.

"Great practice this morning!"

"Ya you too! Though you might want to stop naming your moves." I teased trying not to burst out laughing.

"Your 'rolling headbutt' was the worst one of the day." I continued as I started crying from laughter.

"Well I'm sorry you don't like them. At least Hinata is able to appreciate good names." He said with a annoyed look on his face.

"Ya, ya but Hinata's and idiot."

"You're one to talk! You're one of the people who couldn't go to the practice game without good grades."

"Hey, you were too." I reminded wiping a tear from my eye.

After looking at each other for as second we both burst out laughing to the point we were on the ground.

"God, life would be so boring if we weren't best friends." I said after we had calmed down slightly.

"Ya but we are and always will."

I got up and put out my hand to help him up. Taking my hand Noya stood up as well.

"Thanks." He said with a goofy grin on his face.

"No problem bro" I replied ruffling his hair as I went to my desk, my heart feeling like it was going to explode.

After many periods and a few boring lunches school came to a close, this meaning that we now had volleyball practice. We were having a 4 v 4 match, with Daichi, Suga, Noya, and myself while the first years on the other team. The game was currently 17, 19 in favour of us.

"Nice receive!" I shouted at Noya giving him a pat on the back the ended in more of a slap.

"Thanks, that one was just the usual ROLLLLING THUNDA though" he stated after stumbling over from the slap.

I just rolled my eyes smiling at him as I returned to my position.

A clean receive, set, and spike earned us another point.

"HA! You first years aren't as tough as you act are you?!" I yelled across the net.

"YA! If you were, you would have stopped Tanaka's spike!" Noya yelled with me.

This resulted in us both screaming 'OOOOOHHH' at them as Daichi hit us both in the back of your head.

"Calm yourselves dimwits, this is only a practice match. Against your own teammates." He said with an evil aura that frightened both Noya and I as we nodded to say we understood.

"Now, get back in your positions." He sighed.

As we returned to our places, Suga was giving his usual mom-like smile to both us and Daichi.

The match ended with us winning 21-25 and everyone getting ready to leave.

"Since you all did so well today why don't we stop for meat buns." Daichi and Suga announced.

Everyone including myself cheered while Tsukishima did his usual sigh.

~Time Skip of Laziness~

After getting meat buns Nishinoya and I walked home together since we live in the same direction. Saying goodbye to the team and attempting to hug Kiyoko we split off in the directions of our home.

"Geezz, will we ever get a hug from Kiyoko-san?" Noya grumbled.

"If we try hard enough we might one day!" I cheered.

"YA! We just got to keep a positive attitude!" He screamed putting on a giant smile.

I turned my face away trying to hide the blush that was forming on my cheeks.

"Why do you have to be so adorable.." I mumbled quietly to myself.

"Huh?" Noya questioned, I forgot he has insanely good hearing.

"NOTHING!! Absolutely nothing." I nearly screamed from being startled.

"mm... ok."

We said our goodbyes and walked in the direction of our homes, I was about to step in the door when the smell of smoke brushed across my nose.

I ran back out and looked down the street to see ambulances and firetrucks everywhere.

A house had started on fire, but not just any house.

Nishinoya's house.

That Nishinoya was inside.

Hey Heather here! Since Lauryn has been writing all the fanfics so far none of you probably realized we share this account. So here's the start of my first fanfic ever actually, and I hope you enjoyed it.

I already have all the chapters pre-written and since I'm posting this on a Friday that means chapters will be posted every Friday.
