Chapter 8

-the next day-

It has only been a day and I miss Arthur so much. I wish that we didn't have to part from each other, but fate works in mysterious ways. I was going to learn that day, I just didn't know it.

At the moment, I was hearing what the rest of the team was doing. I had no clue as to what Arthur was doing, but I knew what everyone else was doing. This man name Cyborg has just joined the team, and they are planning to go and save some hostages. Without even thinking about the consequences, knowing where I was going, I rushed to save them.

When I got to where they were being held, I realized that it was Gotham Harbor, why Steppenwolf chose this place of all the places in the world is beyond me.

I wasn't in anything appealing, I was going to stay at home all day so I was just in a sweater and some sweatpants.

I know, soo attractive, but this was all on short notice.

As I made my way to Steppenwolf, I crept up behind him, but one of the monsters had spotted me, revealing my hiding place.

"Kryptonian, I thought the last of your kind was dead. Who are you to challenge me?" spoke Steppenwolf. I had no clue as to what I was doing, but from what Clark has taught me, I should never cower in fear or back down form a fight.

"Well I was doing something else, but I heard that you have some people are against their will. Had to come and check it out," I replied. It was ridiculous that he had hostages for a box of all things. When I looked towards them, they were all cowering away in fear, and they were holding onto each other as if their lives had depended on it, and in this situation, it did.

"Actually, there will be no need for a fight, I have come prepared, RELEASE IT!" he yelled out. That was when I realized that one of the monsters was right above my head, and he had a bag of something. When he dropped it towards me, I saw that it was kryptonite. I ran away with my superspeed to another side of the room, the stone breaking into little pieces. Then, all the monsters started to grab the little pieces of the kryptonite, surrounding me while holding the stone. They started to crush it into a powder, and they got me surrounded around powdered Kryptonite. I used my freeze breath to get the kryptonite away from me, btu I was getting even more tired by the minute, and in a couple moments, I was starting to lose consciousness.

I felt myself being lifted using the little consciousness that i had to see what was going on, then I felt something wet and cold surrounding me. I knew that I was in the ocean, and with that las thought in my head, I blacked out.
