Chapter 18

With a thud, Diana and I had both landed right behind Steppenwolf. I could see that he was joining the boxes together and that made me worried that we were too late, that the end was coming.

"Is this what conquering is?" Diana spoke.
"Hiding from the fight?" I finished.
"Oh, no... You both are all mine," Steppenwolf spoke. When he finished speaking, Arthur attacked him. He was useless against Arthur, and both Diana and I stepped in to help Arthur.

Stephenwolf kept using his ax and we kept blocking his hits. I had to use my arms since I had no weapons to stop his attacks. My sleeves were being cut off with every pound of his ax, and it was only a matter of time till he would end all of us.

With one lucky hit, Steppenwolf was able to hit all three of us, causing us to all crash against the wall. From what I could see, Steppenwolf was going behind Victor, and when he did get there, he started to choke Victor.

Using all the strength that the three of us had, we made the bridge under us collapse. The five of us all going down with it. When Victor was free, he started to fly upwards, as did Steppenwolf and I.

I flew upwards and Diana got a hold on Steppenwolf. All of us were able to pull him back down, me being right in front of him.

I landed a punch on Steppenwolf and then he used his ax against me, launching me across the floor.

I saw that Arthur was hit against the bridge, the ceiling was going to go on top of him, I yelled out,

"Arthur! Look out!" I yelled. I used my speed to rush over to him as fast as possible and Diana and I went under the rubble with him. I was holding up a big piece and while the other two got away from it, I had finally set it down.

"You're all too weak to see the truth," yelled Steppenwolf. Then I heard a voice which I had longed to hear, that I had not heard in a while.
"Well, I believe in truth. But I'm also a big fan of justice," Clark spoke. With one punch from Clark, Steppenwolf was sent flying across the area. I heard Arthur saying next to me,

"All right!" he spoke once Steppenwolf was weakened. I slapped his chest and muttered 'dork' to myself.
"Kryptonian," he spoke and I flew as fast as I could to the both of them. Once I got there, Steppenwolf was trying to punch Clark, but he was able to hit him so hard that he got where Diana and Arthur are.

"Autumn, there are no hard feelings about what happened, right?" Clark questioned. I had already forgiven Clark for what he had done. I kissed his forehead and I muttered to him,

"We will talk when this is all over," I spoke and he nodded his head. I got back to Arthur and Diana and kept hitting Steppenwolf, and Clark had left to go save some civilians. I kept using my powers so that we could hold him off, and when Diana used her gauntlets, Steppenwolf was thrown against the wall.

"Is this guy still bothering you?" Clark spoke and he punched Steppenwolf. Then he used his heat vision, and then he threw Steppenwolf against the wall.

Suddenly, Clark and Victor were pulling the mother boxes apart, and I flew to Clark as fast as possible. Then, there was an explosion, causing myself to be pushed back slightly. I flew even faster and I had made it to Clark.

"CLARK!" I yelled. I could not lose him again, not like the last time. They weren't moving and then Victor started to move his leg. Clark and he woke up and they were groaning in pain. When Clark saw me, he started to say to Victor,

"I take it back, I wanna die," Clark spoke.
"Man, my toes hurt," Victor responded, and Clark and he started laughing. I started to laugh with them and Victor continued,
"I don't even understand the physics of how my toes hurt," he finished. The three of us still laughing at ourselves.
