Chapter 17

"So, what all that about me being your queen?" I questioned once Arthur and I are alone. It was somewhat awkward that we were here, I mean after he confessed his love, which I did not expect, there was a story behind me as well.

"There was this destiny written many years ago. That a woman from another planet would come to help Atlantis during its time of need. That she would be the queen that a lost king has been looking for. I found out the ocean has been calling for you since the day you were born. The ocean knew that we were destined for each other before we even met. Somehow you had been able to break my shell and make me soft for you. I love you Autumn and I will love you for the rest of my life," finished Arthur.

I was astounded by what Arthur had told me. That he loved me, and that I was already the queen of an underwater kingdom. That my fate was written before I was even born. The shock was still there, but my actions were justified.

I held his hand with mine, intertwining our hands. When I looked up at him, all I saw was the love that he has for me. In that instant, I knew that no matter what, he was always going to be a part of my life.

I pulled him towards me with our hands and kissed him with all I had. I could feel him smiling against my lips and that made me happy. I wanted Arthur, and for some reason, I had always felt a connection to the ocean. Now I know why.

When I pulled away from him, he started to tug me back to him and I laughed and stopped him.

"Arthur, I want to be with you, but how can you love me if you know nothing about me?" I questioned. I was concerned that when he realized how boring I was he was going to leave me. I put a bit of distance between us, but Arthur pulled me back towards him. Then he spoke,

"You think that I do not know anything about you? I know so much about you it consumes me. I know that when you are embarrassed you look away. I know that when you are deep in thought you bit your lip in concentration. When are you upset with me, which is very usually, you furrow your eyebrows and you cross your arms across your chest. I also know that whenever we have moments together, you always blush as if you were embarrassed. You are someone that I want in my life today, tomorrow, and forever. I will always protect you no matter what. I truly love all of you," Arthur confessed. Then, with one tug of his arm, he pulled me back towards himself.  I smiled to myself at his words, and replied,

"This is not the Arthur Curry that everyone knows," I teased him. He smiled at me and whispered in my ear,

"This is all of you, my love," he replied. I giggled and kissed him again, accepting what he told me, and pouring how much I love him as well.

It was time for a battle, and I was ready to fight it.
