Hey Star here! Just wanted to say, this story is not dead! I've just been planning some of the OG arcs and characters in the franchise.

Let's see. To start, Y/n's skill-set has been reworked in the modern setting which led for me to have to rewrite some arcs. I also felt like when writing the modern arcs, Y/n and Sonic were too similar. So that also led to some changes down the line.

So I took some inspiration from Shadow's history of having his own villains and allies in the comics and games. So, Y/n will be having a lot of friends, including some mystery guests.

I think I may be able to surprise you with some stuff I've got kept away.

Let's see can we even talk about Eggman Nega on here... Just kidding. His past is a contradiction so I kept him more as a dangerous individual with less comical moments, slowly working that in. Seeing as her has ties to Silver, Blaze, and Y/n, I figured it'd also be best to give Silver a better intro than Rivals... No offense to rivals.

As for the love interest, even though Blaze won the vote when we first started a year back, I'm not too sure that if still holds up since this story hasn't had frequent updates. So to account for that, I'll write the story as is and the character dynamics. Then we'll see how the audience responds to it, if they remain friends or more, not so a vote, more just... Shipping? I guess that's the best way to put it. After writing enough of the dynamics and audience responses, I'll make one real.

The last update is regarding the Idw comics. Some of know I had (have) another book that would focus on that aspect, however with the games making everything canon, I feel like we could have some great moments if we wrote some things from it. Especially since those two stories are vastly different. Plus, from what I've gathered, people seem to want it.
