Chapter 5: Unpredictable Weather
Chapter 5: Unpredictable Weather
Elsa parked as close as she could to the gates to the Cinderblock Garden, it hasn't changed. As she close the door to her car she walked slowly inside to see different artwork around the cinderblocks, it was beautiful in her eyes. She kept walking trying to remember where Jack's artwork was. It's been so long since Elsa's been here, but it only felt like yesterday since her and Jack were here.
It was right before she was leaving...
***
"Jack... Hurry, it looks like a storm is going to start soon." Elsa bagged as Jack kept painting, "It's okay Elsa, I'm almost done." Jack answers as he finished one last stork and stood back admiring his artwork. "Elsa, look." Jack says as Elsa looks and feels her eyes widen, in the painting was an older version of Elsa her face was stone cold, harden with her long blonde hair in a fishtail she almost looked so matured with how dark blue her eyes looked. "I wanted you to look serious, so when you come back here again for me, you'll know how strong you are." Jack answered as Elsa covered her mouth looking at Jack, she knew Jack was an amazing painter but she didn't know he was this good with how young he was. Jack started to shuffle his feet nervous, "So.. Do you like it?" He ask making her look at him, tears coming to her eyes.
"Oh god, you hate it... Elsa it's fine, I can paint over it tomorrow or maybe the rain.." "No.. No don't. I love it. Don't paint over it... don't let the rain take it... Let it stay here forever." Elsa bagged as she grabbed the tarp to put over on top of the cinderblock so the rain wouldn't get it. Jack smiled softly as he helped her. They got lucky to have the tarp over it before the rain started and the thunder hit. Elsa started to stand up and her body start to shake. Jack grabbed her hand and started to pull her, "We better get you out of the rain." Jack said as he kept pulling her as the rain started to hit them harder.
Lighting started to fill the skies making Elsa jump with every hit. She never liked storms, she didn't like the sound of the thunder, or the lighting hitting the sky. It made her feel like God was angry with her, or that her mother was. "There, there's some shelter." Jack says as he pulls Elsa into an old beatdown shed hiding them form the storm. Elsa couldn't stop shaking out of fear and of the cold. "I'm sorry I dragged you out here..." Jack answered as she looked at him, his head was down as water started to drip down from his blonde hair. "I wanted to come out here. I couldn't be in that house where my father just curses your families name." Elsa says putting her arms around herself, "I wanted to spend my last night here... With you." Elsa says as Jack looks up at her.
They've been alone together before, but something felt different this time, something changed. "Jack... Before I go I..." Elsa didn't know how to say what she was feeling for him. Jack raised an eyebrow, "What?" He asked wondering what she was thinking. She started to rub her arm as she took a deep breath as she was about to speak, she felt Jack's lips on hers taking her by surprise. She felt her cheeks get warm as Jack pulled back form the peak just to see his cheeks red too. "I... I just thought... We.... Umm..." Jack stuttered making Elsa giggle he was nervous, maybe it wasn't the right time to tell him that she loved him, at less not yet. But tomorrow, tomorrow she will.
Because she knew he loved her too.... she just knew it.
***
Elsa stood in front of the painting of herself. It still took her breath away, even after eight years, it was still so lifelike and beautiful. She placed her hand on her heart and smiled, she missed the old Jack. She moved her free hand up to her lips, remember the little peak they shared, thinking about, she was happy she didn't tell Jack she loved him that night, because it would of just been harder to see him the next day when she left. "You found it." Elsa heard behind her making her jump and turn as she looks to see Jack standing behind her holding his bag that he used to carry his paints and brushes. His brown hair in a ponytail still but with some pieces sticking out, like he was hard at work.
"God you scared me... You almost gave me a heart attack." Elsa snaps trying to catch her breath again. Jack gave her a little smirk, "Still so easily to scare." He joked making Elsa glare, "What are you doing here?" She asked crossing her arms. Jack chucked, "Well dearie, this is kind of my territory, I can come here whenever I want too." He says placing his bag down, "What are you doing here?" He asks. "Why do you care?" She asks making him sigh, "I'm just trying to be friendly Elsa, don't need to be hostel to me..." Jack whispers. Elsa moved her hands down, she was being really snippy to him. "I'm sorry... I guess moving here... Seeing you, it's been.. Hard." She says as a guest of wind hit her shoulders making her shiver and her hair starts to come out of her braid.
She starts to wrap her arms around her again when she saw Jack start to take off his jacket and put it on her, "You don't..." "Don't be stubborn for once Elsa." Jack hissed making her shut up and take the jacket. "Thank you." She whispers feeling her cheeks start to get warm, his jacket was warm, and it smelled like him, like paint and his cologne. "You're getting some red in your cheeks." Jack tased making Elsa turn her head away form him, "I.. I'm not..." Elsa huffed trying to not show she was getting nervous around him now. What was happening? Why was she getting nervous around him now?
Jack could see how she was trying to hide her feelings, her nervous towards him. "Elsa Ann, are you getting nervous around me?" Jack asked taking a step close to her. Elsa step back, "Me... Nervous? Of you? Please..." She answers as he steps closer to her making her step back hitting her painting. "You remember when we were kids, and we'd play tag outside your house?" Jack asked as he put his hand on the wall, "And how you always got cornered?" He smirked making Elsa hands start to shake, her nervous twitch. Jack look down at his hands and smiled as he used his free hand grabbing one of hers. "You still shake when your nervous huh?" He looks back at her and Elsa's heart stopped, Jack was looking at her like he did that night eight years ago, the night he gave her her first kiss, well peak.
"I'm so glade that hasn't changed." Jack whispers as he started to lend in. Oh god is he going to kiss me? Elsa thought as she moved her free hand on his chest and closed her eyes, Oh god do I want to kiss him? Elsa thought again as she stood on her tiptoes, waiting for his lips to be on hers. Before their lips could touch, Elsa felt the hair on the back of her neck start to stand as she heard a loud bang making her open her eyes and look at the sky. Dark clouds started to circle them, a storm was coming. "Easy Elsa... It's just a little storm." Jack says with a hush making her look at him to see him pushing back a little moving his hand down to her arm rubbing it.
"I need to go... I need to be indoors before it hits.." Elsa whined as another bang hit the skies making her yelp and Jack put his arm around her holding her close and grab his bag on the ground. "Tuff little Elsa still scared of thunder." Jack chuckled making Elsa hit him lightly "Don't joke Jack, please..." She bagged looking up at him, "Take me home." She asked making Jack nod, "Okay dearie." Jack says as he starts to take Elsa to her car as they felt rains start to come down on them. Jack didn't let go of her until they reach the car. He slowly moved his hand down to her pant pocket and pulled out the keys to her car, "I'll drive." He says as he unlocks the car and opens the door making Elsa quickly dive in as the rains started to pour.
Jack couldn't help but laugh a little as he got into the driver side and Elsa felt her eyes widen as she looked at him. His whole body was soaked head to toe. His wet shirt was pushed to his body showing off his abs and his muscles as he moves his hand through his wet hair. "Man that came down fast huh?" Jack asked looking at Elsa making her turn her head away form him to hide her blush. "Yeah... the weather is still unpredictable huh?" She says trying to calm herself down. Jack raised an eyebrow trying to figure out why she was acting shy to him now. Was it because they almost kissed? He cursed at the heavens for making it rain, to make him miss a kiss form her.
"What about your car?" Elsa ask as Jack started to drive. "I don't have a car, it's in the shop, well it's in my garage I should say." Jack answers keeping his eyes on the road. "What's wrong with it?" Elsa ask trying to keep him talking so she didn't have to be in her head, thinking about him being wet next to her. "Pa's and I are fixing it up, we're almost there. It's our father/son time." Jack says looking over at Elsa as he stops. "So... I've been driving to our old neighborhood out of force of habit, I... I don't know where you live." Jack says rubbing his neck. Elsa looked at him forgetting how he was looking making her blush return and turn her head, "I... I live next door to you..." She stuttered making Jack's eyes widen, "You... bought your old house?" Jack asked making her nod, "I... I didn't want to live anywhere else." She answers looking back at him.
"I, have great memories there." She says with a small smile making Jack smile, "We really do don't we?" He ask as he looked back in front of him and started to drive.
***
Jack parked in front of Elsa's house as the rain started to die down. "God it really is unpredictable." Elsa laughed as she started to get out of her car. Jack joined her as she walked over to him as he handed her the keys, their fingers touching lightly. "Umm... thank you for... saving me." She says shyly making Jack smile, "anytime Elsa." Jack says as she started to move the loose hair behind her ear. "I... I better get inside..." she says as she started to walk to her walk away as Jack watched her. He couldn't help but watch her, it almost made it feel like that day eight years ago when she left him. He felt his hand go into a fist. "Elsa!" Jack yelled as she reached her door.
She turned to see Jack walking up the walkway. She raised an eyebrow before she realized she was still wearing his jacket. Right... That's all he wants.... Elsa thought as she started to slide her arm out, "I would of...." Elsa stopped when Jack reached her putting his hands on the side of her face pulling her in and kisses her. Elsa felt her eyes widen before she closed them putting her arms around Jack's neck pulling him in closer, making the kiss deeper. All the feelings she had for Jack came back in a flash, like the last eight years never happened that it was just her and Jack.
As Jack pulled back putting his forehead to her, breathing hard as he moves his hand on her hair. "Save me a dance tonight... I need... One dance with you." Jack demanded. Elsa didn't know how to talk after that kiss so she just nods her head as he pushed back. "Keep the jacket... It looks better on you anyways." Jack yells as he starts to walk to his house still feeling Elsa's lips on his. As Elsa opened her door putting her back to it and sliding down it...
Did that just happen?
***
Jack stood in the shower feeling the warm water going down his back, he kissed Elsa... He kissed Elsa! His been wanting to do that for eight years and he finally did. It was even better then he expected. He should of told her he loved her, but after tonight, after he steals her from Chris, he was going to do it. He was going to tell her. He felt a smile on his face as he turned off the water and got out putting a towel around his waist and started to shake his head making the water go everywhere when he heard his phone go off. He looked down to see Ashlee's name pop up. He sighed but answered, "What Ash?" Jack hissed.
"Now now Jackson, that's no way to talk to your girlfriend." Ashlee purred making Jack roll his eyes, "Did you forgot what happened at the cafeteria today? I broke up with you." Jack growled as he went into his room putting her on speaker as he starts to find what to wear tonight. "And I forgive you for being a dick. Now can we talk about the party tonight? What time do you want me to pick you up?" Ashlee asked making Jack laugh, "Jesus you really can't take a hint can you?" Jack asked as he put on a tight blue tee and some jeans. "I don't want you to come to me, I don't want you to see me at the party, I'm not going with anyone." Jack yelled.
"Is this because of Elsa Ice!? Did you break up with me because of her!?" Jack wanted to scream, he wanted to just hang up. "Jesus Christ Ashlee! I didn't break up with you because of Elsa, I broke up with you because you slept with anything that had a penis! I got sick of it, so this is me telling you again, we are through!" Jack yelled as he hanged up before she could say anything else. He spent a year of his life with that bitch... Why? He walked into the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. You know, this white blonde really isn't your look, maybe brown, and longer. That would look so sexy. Jack remembered Ashlee says the first time he meet her, a year ago.
***
Jack just got put on the variety basketball team and he was psyched to finally be a on a team that needed him. And to be lucky enough to be captain, was even better. "So captain, want to go out and celebrate tonight?" Kristoff asked as they walked to their lockers. Jack was about to answer when he saw a girl with brown hair with some blonde mixed in staring at him. As he reached his locker he looked at the girl blocking his way. "You know, that's my locker." Jack said lending on one of the lockers. The girl smiled, "Oh I know, I'm Ashlee Hicks, I'm the captain of the cheerleader team." Ashlee says as she put out her hand, Jack took it and shook it before he pushed her side to go into his locker. "Is that support to impress me?" Jack asked putting his bag in closing his locker.
"Well it should, I heard you're the captain of the basketball team." She says making Jack nod, "So?" He says as she steps closer to him, "So I think we should date." She smiles making Jack raise an eyebrow, "But shouldn't you be dating I don't know Chris Lane? His the quarterback and the captain on the football team." Ashlee rolled her eyes, "Ew, that prick? Please I would rather date someone who can take care of me." She says as she starts to mess with Jack's hair. "Who says I would take care of you? I might be a bigger prick then Chris." Jack teased with a smile. Ashlee shrugs, "Call it woman's intowishin." She says as she stops playing with Jack's hair and looks at him, "You know, this white blonde really isn't your look, maybe brown, and longer. That would look so sexy."
***
Ashlee was the reason Jack changed his hair, to make her happy, because he thought he had to be with her when really he didn't... Now... He could have who he really cares for. He looked closer at the mirror touching his hair, he didn't even remember what his hair looked like short. He closed his eye and remember the day Elsa found out who Panic of the Disc was and became obsessed. She made him listen to them everyday but he didn't mind, as long as she as happy. When you get older you should cut your hair like Brendon Urie! It would look so good on you! He remember Elsa say making him smile, she liked the mop top hair style. He opened his eyes and looked at his phone, he still had an hour and a half before Kristoff should be here. He went down stairs to see his mom in the kitchen humming to herself.
"Hey mom." Jack yelled as Raven looks over at her son a smile on her face, "Hey baby, what's up?" Raven asked as she started to dry a plate. Jack started to rub his neck, "You think he could give me a hair cut and... Dye my hair back to my color?" Jack ask almost making Raven drop the plate she was so surprised. "Really... I can?" She ask happily making him nod, "Yeah... You're right, this isn't me. I think it's time for me to go back to how I really am, back to my old self." Jack answered as Raven put down the plate and hugged her son, "Oh I'm so glade." She says pulling in back, "Come on, let's get started." She says with as giggle and started to pull Jack into a chair getting more excited to finally have her son back.

Elsa looked at herself in the mirror as she started to curls her hair, her hands almost shaking. She couldn't get over the fact that Jack kissed her, and that all her feelings he had for him, came back hard and fast. But she also remembered she was going to a party with someone else tonight, someone she didn't want to go with. She sighs as she put her curling iron down and started to put her red lipstick on before she did her eyes. She didn't normally wear make up, mostly some mascara to make her eyes pop but that was it. But tonight for some odd reason, she wanted to look even better, maybe for Jack?
She sigh as she stood up and looked at herself in her full length mirror. The dress she picked with a purple two piece with a holster top and the skirt was ruffled and almost puffed out, she loved it and the color was really making her eyes extra blue tonight. It reminded her of the painting Jack did making her cheeks go red again. How was she going to see Jack tonight without thinking about that kiss, and how much she wanted him to kiss him again? She looked at Jack's window to see that he wasn't there, maybe already at the party? She was half hoping to see him before the party. She started to remember the night she got sick, she didn't get to see Jack at all that day and it killed her. As she sat in her quite room, she saw a shadow start to climb through her window, she didn't scream or cry for help because she knew it was Jack.
He held a box of chocolates and a copy of Singing in the Rain the movie she watches whenever she was sick. She remember how that was the best night because they fell asleep watching the movie together. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a car horn outside. She walked to the window showing her street to see a blue mustang outside waiting for her. Wow, what a douche. Elsa heard in her head making her laugh, Jack would hate this, Jack's hatred for mustangs was unreal in her eyes but she couldn't but smile at it. She sighs as she looks at Jack's jacket laying on her bed, all she wanted to do now was put it on and lay in bed feeling his jacket hold her like he would. But she knew she couldn't as she turned away and went the her front door. She took a deep breath, "Remember who your date is." She remaindered herself as she opened the door and walked out to Chris' mustang.
He was standing by the passenger side door with a smile on his face. "Wow, you look beautiful Elsa." Chris smiled as he opened the door for her. "Thank you Chris, you look very handsome." She says making him smile back as he closed her door and went to the driver side. He looked back at her as he grabs her hand, "I am so lucky to have you as my date tonight." Chris said making Elsa do a nervous smile, "That's really nice of you to say... Let's go have fun." Elsa said as Chris started to drive off, were Elsa would have her first High school party.

I'm sorry but the person you are trying to reach is unavailable, please leav.... Michale heard as he slammed his phone done letting out his breath, "God damn that woman..." He hissed and lend back in his chair. Michale had booked Elsa into a show last week before she wanted to leave for this little... Trip. If he doesn't get her home by next month, he would lose a lot of money. He didn't want to believe that Elsa was back in her home town, he didn't want to believe that she was with that... boy. He sat back up when he heard a knock on the door as a black hair boy walked in. "Mr. Ice..." Liam asked as he stepped in. "Liam... What are you doing here?" Michale asked wondering if he knew what was going on with Elsa. "Well sir, I need to know, I heard Elsa went back to her home town... Is it true?" He asked acting like he cared. Michale knew he didn't care of his daughter but if Liam and Elsa kept dating, or even get married, it would just mean more money for Michale and Liam.
"It's true... I'm surprised she didn't tell you." Michale say standing up making Liam sigh, "Well sir... Elsa broke up with me before she left." Liam asked making Michale turn to him, "She did what?" He hisses making Liam nod, "She broke up with me, don't worry, no one knows, everyone thinks we're still together but sir... Elsa is the reason I'm famous, if people find out I don't have her anymore I could lose my job." Liam said panic in his voice. "Relax Liam... No one will find out." Michale answers as he started to pace back and forth trying to figure out what to do, how to get Elsa back. He looked back at Liam, "When do you stop filming?" Michale asked. "Next week... Why?" He asked as Michale smiled.
"How do you feel about going on a little trip?"
