Piper awoke to the familiar groans of the Argo II. She smiled at the calendar marking her 17th birthday. She was beaming, and ran downstairs where breakfast was served. "Hey guys!" Piper spoke in a melancholy tone. "Guess what today is?!" Leo, Annabeth, and Percy seemed to be the only 3 eating breakfast. "It's Friday!" Leo spoke in a sarcastic tone. Piper looked at Annabeth for help. She would know. "Beats me." Annabeth and Percy spoke almost in unison. Piper frowend to see no one knew she was turning 17 today. She sat down to eat her cold pancakes and sour orange juice. "What's up guys?" Hazel and Frank spoke emerging out of nowhere. They had to know it was Piper's birthday. "Do you guys know what today is?" Piper pleaded. "Friday?" Frank questioned scratching his ear. Piper shook her head and continued eating. Finally, Jason appeared. He must know! "Hey Jase! Do you know what today is?" Piper spoke staring at Jason. "Oh yea! It's Percy's birthday!" Jason spoke giving Percy a hug. "Thanks man. But it's not my birthday." Percy responded. Piper cleared her plate than dashed to her room. She slammed her door shut and starting crying. Her boyfriend and best friend had no idea it was her birthday. Piper heard a knock at her door. She reluctantly opened the door to see a frantic Jason. "Quick. Monster. On board." He wheezed running to the scene. Piper followed only to see a party. "Happy Birthday Piper!" Shouted the crew. Piper smiled widely to see all her friends throwing a party in her honor. Jason then handed her a small box. She opened it carefully to find a half heart necklace with a magnetic side. It read Piper. Jason then revealed his necklace which was also a magnetic half heart, that read Jason. Put together it was a full heart. "Jason. I love you!" Piper shouted jumping into his arms. "I love you more, beauty queen."
