His head was in a whirlwind of pain.

So much so that he couldn't remember the last thing he did or where he last was before conking out.

After taking a moment to regain consciousness a boy's eyes opened, revealing them to be red as it was Alex.

Currently he was laid down on a plain grey bed in a dimly lit room that had said bed, a table and chair, and a mirror.

The boy slowly sat up, holding his head in pain as he groaned a bit.

As he did, he heard a voice off to his side.

"Seems you're finally awake. Good to know you're alright." Said a female voice.

Alex looked off to the side and saw that sitting at the table was his sensei Raven who had her hood down, fully showing her hair and eyes.

"Oh. Sensei." Said the boy as he looked around and noticed his sword was no where to be seen.

Raven seemingly knew what he was looking for as she reached down and grabbed a large duffel bag as she tossed it to him.

"Here. I kept it safe with me. Would've been stolen if left alone." She said.

Alex nodded and thanked her, standing up and he pulled out his sword and hooked it back onto his back.

"How long was I out for?"

"Hmm...I wanna say about two weeks and a half."

"Damn. What the hell did I do?"

"Huh. The fight was that rough wasn't it?"

"Hm?"

"Long story short, you tried to escape Serpent Quarters pretty soon after you were brought here. You managed to get all the way out to Arc City before you were eventually tracked down and subdued by Ms. Raiden."

Upon hearing Mei's name, Alex merely rolled his eyes and groaned as that was when his memory started to come back to him.

He and Mei alongside Tesla had went to Nagazora to find Kiana.

When they did, they has found out that she was horrifically badly infected by the Honkai, so much so that she only had a few months left to live.

Shortly after that, Mei had accepted a deal with the World Serpent's Sire, Kevin Kaslana, that promised Mei that they'd keep Kiana safe from future threats so long as she became the Herrscher of Thunder once more and defect to their side.

After a duel in which she bested Kiana, Alex would run into her afterwards as the two got into a battle themselves.

Mei once again would win, leaving Nagazora with Alex.

After that, the boy had awoken and without even questioning where he was, immediately took action and escaped out into Arc City, coming across a sudden horde Honkai Beasts and then Mei herself who had been sent by the Serpent to retrieve him.

The two had dueled with Alex giving it all that he had to fend her off but once again, Mei would end up victorious and dragged him back to the Serpent's Domain.

After what she had done to him and Kiana at Nagazora, the boy was certain in no longer keeping up their friendship.

"Oh great. Of course it was the turncoat that got me. Freaking idiot. What the hell is she even doing anymore?"

"Who knows. That girl seems to have a lot on her mind nowadays. Onto other matters, I saw on a scanner that there were three points of Honkai Energy at Nagazora. One was Ms. Raiden, the other was the clone, and I'm assuming the third was you huh? Seems like you've finally learned that blade's true potential." She said as Alex nodded.

"Yeah. Dr. Tesla told me that this sword which I now know is called Labor of Olympus can store Honkai Energy and be weaponized against them. When I used it again Mei, it hurt like hell to maintain the flames. My arms were practically falling off."

"I see. Well on one hand, I'm positive that the more use you get out of it, the more you'll get accustomed to it. On the other hand though, I hope you realize the price you had to pay in order to utilize that power."

"Hm? What is it?"

Raven approached Alex before grabbing his left wrist, pulling back the sleeve and showing Alex his own arm.

What he saw on it shocked him a ton.

'W-What the........................no way....' He thought to himself.

"I-I isn't this what Ki-." He was saying before being interrupted by Raven midway.

"Yes it is. Same as her. Looks like you strayed to far to the sun and ended up picking up a Honkai Infection of your own. Don't worry though. It isn't too severe to begin with but as a precaution I did administer an anti-serum on you to neutralize it as best as I could." She said as Alex nodded.

"I-I see...................thank you, Sensei." He said, pulling his sleeve back up as he was still a little shocked at his current predicament.

"May as well set things straight now."

"Hm?"

"Hate to break it to you kid but, you aren't gonna be able to escape for the meantime. You're on severe surveillance now. Even if you managed to flee again, they'd just send Ms. Raiden to bring you back and seeing as you're now zero for two against her, then you're better off here." Said Raven as Alex groaned.

"Oh great. She just willingly became that albino's lap dog now?" He said.

"Again, can't really answer for her. Even I'm in the dark about what goes on in her head anymore. Anyways, the Sire will be holding a meeting soon and I'm sure he'll expect you to be present so be prepared. I'll swing by to pick you up once the time comes. In the meantime here, I snagged a fairly neat pair clothes for you since your current ones are rather worn out already. It gets pretty chilly here so you'll appreciate them." She said, handing Alex a set of clothes.

The boy thanked his sensei, taking the clothes as she left his room.

Alex would remove his old fit and put on the new ones as he examined himself in the mirror.

He now wore a black turtleneck sweater, long gray coat, dark blue jeans and brown laced dress boots as the coat had two holsters on the back so he could attach and keep his sword in place.

"Huh. These are pretty nice. I'll make sure to thank Sensei when she comes back." He said to himself as he walked over and laid down on the bed as he waited.

While he did, Raven walked down the halls of the World Serpent base before suddenly coming to a stop as a smile appeared on her face.

"I had a feeling I'd run into you." She said, seemingly knowing someone stood before her as she looked up and sure enough there was and it was someone who Alex had bad mouthed only a few minutes prior.

It was the newly reawakened Herrscher of Thunder, Mei Raiden.

The two simply stared at one another, not muttering a word though Raven could tell from Mei's expression what she wanted to hear as she chuckled.

"The kid's fine. No need to worry." She said as she continued to walk ahead before stopping beside Mei as she placed a hand on her shoulder.

"You certainly have your work cut out for you if you intend to mend fences. He absolutely despises you right now." She said.

Mei simply just sighed as she moved Raven's hand away.

"Whether he forgives me or not isn't my concern. It doesn't affect the agreement I made with Kevin." She said as Raven rolled her eyes.

"Suit yourself then." She said as the two walked away, leaving the conversation at that as the meeting fast approached.
