Mel: Who is the legal guardian of Gulf?

Aaron : I am extremely sorry madam i cannot divulge details of my clients. It's top secret for security reasons. Be assured the person really cares for master.

Mel smiled sarcastically hearing the word care from the lawyer : Ohh ofcourse they care i can see that with condition of the kid who has been used as a shuttle cork too and fro.

Aaron: Madam, you can't judge the book by it's cover. Heavy prices need to be paid when raising an empire.

Mel(raised an eyebrow): Oh really, do you know Rin has stopped his procedure of iron chelation due to which his organs are gone weak.
The lawyer looked dumbstruck with the information. Mel smiled knowing she was right there she continued

Are you aware he was not fed as per his diet putting him at risk. Or do you want me to tell you her boyfriend slapped the kid leaving him in cold climate to die outside the house. The price you are talking about is a human for God's sake here it is a small kid.

Mel can see Aaron's facial expression changing. He seemed to be super angry but was controlling his stance. They were handsomely paying Rin so the kid can be taken care of but unaware of the reality which had left him looking like a fool infront of a lady. She was sure he was unknown to all these facts and also worried for the kid. She was surely not gonna let the kid go away.

Mel: Kid need love and care they don't survive on money. (She was now sure she played her cards right. Now was the time for the most awaited question) By the way are you going to take Gulf away from here?

Mew's head snapped in his mother's direction while he anticipated an answer.

Aaron: My client is out of country once i get confirmation from him i will take Gulf and put him in a good school.

Mel: Don't you think it's cruelty towards a child. You all have been throwing him into courts just to be smashed.

Aaron: I am sorry this is not my place to reply. It's his guardians decision.

Mel: If you all are just going to throw the child like an unwanted stone. I want to take place of Rin and keep Gulf, raising him as my son.

Aaron: You can't adopt Gulf.

Mel: But I can be his caretaker. Listen, Mr lawyer that child has gone through a lot at this tender age. To add up to all his health is not good. He needs a stable environment lot of care and love otherwise i am sorry to say but he may not survive.

Mew felt his heart paining listening to his mother's words. He was somewhere aware of this fact but wished it was all a lie.

Aaron: You don't have to worry we are putting him in top school. Also, we will keep him in house with maids, security, Chauffeur so he can be taken care of. He will be secured under security surveillance personally monitored by me. Previously, he was manhandled by the same people who attacked Miss Rin. It won't be the case now. Also, his identity is concealed full proofed this time so no one can hurt him or people around him. We also got restraining order against people involved in the attack of p'rin. It may take a month after investigation but I am sure after that there won't be any harm.

Mel sensed that the lawyer was very smart and couldn't be played with words. He didn't give away a single information.

Mel: What about love and family? Would you also buy that with money and gift him. A fake mother, a fake father, a fake brother, fake friends,fake relationships. He is a child and not war prisoner to be kept under security surveillance. Last thing, i want to take the kids custody talk to his guardian or be ready to face the law when i as his doctor would file a case against your high profile client and I am sure they won't be pleased to be defamed or reveal their identity in public. I am pretty sure to take the legal route.

Aaron sighed he took out a handkerchief and wiped his sweat. He was a renowned lawyer best in his field. Worked with head honchos in work fields but none of them were able to make him silent like the lady infront did today. He was totally impressed by the lady and was sure she will take good care of Gulf just like a mother.

Aaron: Alright, i will talk to my client and get back on this topic.

Mel stood up adjusting her coat so did the lawyer. She forwarded her hand for a formal handshake the lawyer accepted it.

Mel: Okay then we meet next to sign the custody papers. Have a nice day Mr Lawyer... (She walked passed him head held high towards the door while Mew followed her with smile looking at defeated face of the lawyer) Oh yeah, do not forget to put an additional clause in the papers. She said stopping near the door and turning to aaron. 'None from his family it also includes you would be allowed to meet him without permission of his guardian or his own wish'. I don't wish to see shadow of any unlikely person around my kid.

Lawyer: You cannot reveal Gulf any details about his life.

Mel: As if i know anything accept you being the lawyer to his family. Also, handle the police Gulf won't give any statement.

Aaron: I wish to keep myself as his lawyer who even doesn't know anything about the child and his bloodline.

Mel: Okay, but in future if you or his family is going to reveal their identity before Gulf. They would have to first talk to his legal guardian.

Aaron: Agreed.

Mel: Still even if i know i would better keep my son away from such negativities. I would prefer not to tell him anything because he is very innocent to understand the diplomatic stance of world.

She pulled the door open allowing mew to go out first and then she walked out closing the door behind. She left a sigh of relief while mew immediately hugged her. She gently caressed back of the young little man. Who almost reached above her shoulder to comfortably placing his head on her shoulder. They then departed while she ruffled his hair and walked towards Gulf's cabin.

While they reached the cabin they could see nurses rushing out and in. Mel frowned and asking mew to wait she rushed in.

Mel(to her team): What's wrong?

Dr. Sam: Having difficulty in breathing. He was also having convulsions... Mel the case looks difficult will the kid make through...

Mel (cutting): Put him on oxygen right away (turning to the nurse) get the injection ready.

She placed stetho to her ears checking his heart beats and breathing pattern. She administered some medicines and then put Gulf on oxygen. She was looking at his fluctuating vitals on monitor. He calmed a bit dr sam drew blood for further investigations. While Mel walked out and went to Mew as it was quite late and they had to go home. She sat beside him on edge of the seat.

Mel: Mew, let's go home, we will come back in the morning. I have entrusted Dr Sam to look after Gulf for tonight.

Mew: Mae, can i stay here with him.

Mel: No baby you also need rest.

While she was finishing her words a nurse came running towards her.

Nurse: Dr. mel, P'rin is no more.

Mel closed her eyes taking a deep breath. She saw Sam who had just exited the room behind her and the question on his face was clear. Finally he spoke out his concern "Will the child be able to take this news and survive with such health".

Mel: He has to because nothing can change the truth.

It was not a news because Mel knew it was bound to happen. It's for good as Rin was suffering but now was the real challenge to make Gulf understand that Rin was no more. She was also confused whether to disclose the truth of his existence to him or not. It was difficult situation because still Mel wasn't sure as what she would tell Gulf. Dr sam left the scene letting Dr Mel to deal with her little boy who looked sad.

Mel: (to nurse) You go I am coming.
(To mew) I will ask por to take you home.

Mew: ( he was in tears): Mom please I don't want to go please please... I won't disturb him just sit by his side. He won't be able to cope up with the news mae.

Mel: Okay, first you calm down (she said wiping his tears) on one condition first let's go and eat something. You need strength to take care of him. Also, don't inform him anything right now his condition is critical let's wait till he gets stable.

Mel knew her kid was stubborn so she gave up instead of arguing and also because truly Gulf needed someone who can heal him. She didn't knew if mew will do that but she had her hopes on him only.

Mew was lying on the bed few feet away from Gulf but his eyes were fixed on him. Mel sat beside mew going through gulf' reports. Being tired sleep took over mews lazy eyes. Mel left home to take some rest and get clothes for the kids. She also wanted to make sure that kids eat home cooked food. So, she was going to stash the supplies.

In the midnight Gulf started getting restless. His painful low screams got Mew awake. He saw Gulf was moving his hands causing his drip to hurt him. He immediately got down and went towards him holding his hands in place.

Mew: Gulf... gulf he said softly but the kid kept crying

Mew: Honey... Honey....

That word always worked like an magic potion in sleep also Gulf can sense that word. He was partially awake with his eyes drowsily blinking. His eyes were red,face pale, hair messy.

Gulf: Bear

Mew: Yes, honey baby I am here. Don't worry you take rest. Everything's gonna be fine soon.

Gulf: They will take me away... They killed mae now it would be me ... I am hurting..... His talks were in slurry but mew could understand.

Mew: No one will take you away... I would guard you... Tell me where are you hurting...

No reply... Only silence...

Gulf: I am so cold... (He said as he was surely shivering)

Mew frowned as climate was quite cold but the room was warm while Gulf was fully covered under blanket. He had curled to the side may be due to pain and cold. He felt his palm in his palms appeared warmer. He tried to move so he can call the nurse but Gulf held his hand tight and struggled. He gave up and pressed the calling bell. The nurse came and after knowing the situation gave some analgesic in the drip. After that nurse left, mew sat nearby caressing Gulf's hair who was now slightly awake.

Gulf: Would you believe me if i tell you I knew mae was going to die? I had dreamt about it...

Mew was shocked to hear what Gulf said. He was also confused and thought Gulf was just speaking under unconsciousness.

Gulf: I also saw you getting hurt even before you had wrong tackle on the field.

Mew fell silent what would this be called was he saying truth or just talking under medicine effect.

Gulf: I know you also won't believe me just like mae didn't believe me.

Mew(breathing in): I trust you completely so if you say that i believe you. Even if you say it is day right now phi will believe you without any hesitation. You have my trust baby  but You have to promise me if this is true you would never tell this to anyone except me. We would talk on this once you are absolutely fine.

While gulf was nodding mew again came up with a question.

Mew : Anyone else knows about it?

Gulf: hmmm

Mew: Who??

Gulf: phi Pete... I told him when mae got me out of orphanage. I had seen it in dream that someone was taking me away from that hell. He was with me when i was in hospital i told him. I don't know whether he believed me or not, but then aunt liz arrived she said i am just making stories. After few days aunt liz took him back. He also takes care of me just like you.

Mew saw a small smile on gulf's lip thinking about his brother

Mew: Hmm (jealous) next time you won't tell him anything about this. Also, promise it would be our secret forever.

Gulf gently detangled his palm grip and entangled his pink with mews pinky finger "Promise". Mew smiled and again held his palm.

Mew could find gulf still shivering.
He gently climbed on the bed. His hand still in gulfs hold and slipped into Gulf's blanket. Allowing gulf to dip his head in mew's neck. His other hand wrapped around gulf holding his opposite hand in drip so he doesn't move it.

Morning knocked in and Mel entered the room to be greeted with a peaceful view where gulf was sleeping calmly on Mew's arms. Mew had spooned him while mews other arm was wrapped around him. She just smiled at her kids who were away from all the impurities of the world in their pure bliss.

Getting Gulf back healthy was very difficult. He kept on falling ill but mel and mew fought throughout by his side. In past week Mew broke the news of his mother's death to him. It was very difficult for Gulf he cried for hours. He was shattered to know that he was completely on his own but he was stronger then their belief. Accepting the fate he embarked on a new journey holding mew and mel's hand.

His aunt liz and cousin brother perth visited them after 2 week. They were in Gulf's cabin while he was happily talking to perth. Also, introducing cousin a' perth and phi mew.

Liz: Dr.Mel i am grateful that you took gulf under your wings. I feel sorry we can't keep him 😔.

Mel: There is nothing to feel sorry because it doesn't change anything. I am happy to have son like gulf and feel sad that such a soul is not gracing your life.

Her words were sharp and shot directly without any confusions. She was angered as they were sympathising with the kid showing fake concerns trying to push off his responsibility.

Liz: Do let me know if you need any monetary help. As i know it would be difficult handling 4 kids who are all so highly ambitious. You don't need to worry much about Gulf he is as it is orphan.

Her words pierced mew and mel equally while Gulf's face fell a'pete seemed angry but kept distracting gulf.

Liz: Ohh and i would be sending toys and clothes like before it's good to do charity sometimes.

She said walking towards Gulf's bed where he was half lying talking to pete. He was happy seeing his phi pete but his aunt liz was surely disowning him which pricked his heart. Little did he know that they didn't consider him as family but pete loved him like a younger brother. His emotions for Gulf were genuine. There were bags of goodies and gifts bought in and laid on the next bed by liz's chauffer. Some consisted hand down clothes of her son which appeared next to new.

Pete: See i made this for you.

He handed a beautiful glass bottle which was small, delicate and held sand with varied tiny sea shells. It shone with glitter which sparkled in gulfs eyes. It also held a mystic fragrance which gulf liked. His and pete's name was written and submerged in the bottle.

Gulf never received any gift with love everybody gave him things with pity.   So, for him even if anyone gave him pebble with love it would be special.

Yes, a tiny beautiful pebble sourced through rushing water which had smooth edges and was black in colour.  He received first gift from mew few days back was the pebble which had flat surface in weired shape but he kept it in his wallet.

This was the second most precious thing for him now. He held it in his palms with utmost care. That thing had no value it was just a waste but it was like diamond for him.

Pete: Tell me Gulf what gifts you need more brother will get you on next visit. Now, i get pocket money i can surely save it for you (he said softly in his ears which earned a giggle from gulf and stern look from mew as gulf coughed a little after that)

Gulf: I just want you to keep calling me and aunt (he said looking at liz) just say everyone that you all are my family.

Liz: Gulf, sorry sweety that's not possible he can't call you but we would keep meeting you. My lie about being a family won't do any good either.

Gulf: why would it be a lie you are my family?

Liz(trying to be diplomatic): Family are made with relationships. The ties that related us is already dead.

Gulf (still trying to hold to last string of hope): When would you meet me next aunt?

Mew could see tears filling in gulfs eyes.

Liz: Now, you have a new family gulf our interference won't be liked by them.

Gulf: I know aunt Mel won't mind.

He said innocently to which mel just nodded. Again looking at liz gulf knew his hopes were going to be shattered.

Liz: Gulf, it's not safe to divulge your a'pete's information in public. So, we need to be cautious or he will also be dead like P'rin. Hence he can't call you neither meet you.

She said cutting him straight making it clear that they don't wish to have any connections in future. Gulf shivered a bit which was noticed by mew.

Liz: I just hope these people survive unlike others who tried to take care of you.

Mew saw all the shine in Gulf's eyes faded away. He was facing one more rejection and his heart felt the pain. Those words hurt gulf making him think was he the reason of rin's death? Would they kill mew and his family because of him?

First his mother denied calling him her son and now his aunt was disowning him.

Pete(trying to handle the situation lifting Gulf's face up keeping finger under his chin: Even if we rarely meet, or hardly talk i would still be your elder brother. I promise you as soon as i start my own company i would keep you with me.

Gulf raised his pinky finger for promise and pete held it with a smile. Gulf saw mew's troubled expression on knowing a'pete's thoughts he would surely not feel good about gulf leaving therefore gulf decided to put full stop to his running thoughts.

Gulf: I don't want you to keep me with you just stay in touch that's enough.

Liz looked displeased with her son's action.

Mew felt the pain as if pete was going to snatch his honey from him or may be it was just a plain lie to keep gulf abay. Whatever Gulf said put him at ease.

While liz decided to make a move as she needed to take pete out before he makes it hard for her.

Liz: We will make a move. Gulf, take care of yourself and don't trouble aunt Mel.

As she reached the door mew spoke.

Mew: Aunt Liz or should i call you madam liz, sorry to be disrespectful but please take away all these things as honey is my family and my family doesn't need anyone's charity. From next time please don't send anything for him i will earn him everything.

Liz looked surprised at the young boy speaking with such confidence. She was angry as he was insulting her but hid her emotions behind smile

Liz: (smiling): Hey, those are from pete and I am sure Gulf would wish to keep it.

Gulf looked at Mew who spoke confidently on behalf of him. Even if whole world is not ready to accept him there is his phi bear for him.

Mel felt proud of her son he spoke whatever was running in her mind. She had to manage the situation because finally gulf also should not feel that he is being suppressed. It had to be his decision...

Mel: Mew, my boy those are for Gulf let him decide to whether take it or not.

Gulf (softly): As phi said i don't want any of these you can take it back but i will keep this because perth phi has made this for me. It's surely his gift  (he said showing the tiny bottle in his palm). Also, as you said my family may not like your interference and now i know they surely don't like you giving me gifts don't bother to send anything ever.

Mew, Mel and perth had a slight smile looking at Gulf who was trying his best not sound arrogant. Mew smiled at his innocence while pete smiled at his bonding.

"The kid was matured enough due to pain he went through in his early childhood" Mel thought.

Gulf (looking at mel): Mew phi has complete right to decide on my behalf. He would never do anything that would be wrong for me.

Liz had held on the door open not to increase the time of stay or conversation she signed her chauffer to get all those bags back. She walked off fuming in anger "this little rat is thinking too far huh i will also see how much time your happiness lasts". She was baffled looking at young boys staring at her in rage.

They were P'Thorn, techno, alex, lhong and max. All heard the conversation and felt bad for gulf. 

P'thorn (stepping towards liz): Never bother to think about my brother again.

Liz stomped her feet and left. While boys stood their to calm down their anger.

Inside the room Perth came forward and landed a slight peck on gulf's forehead which made tears run down his cheek. Then perth left without looking back.

While tears kept running down Gulf's cheek his cry could now be heard breaking mel and mew's heart. A soft hand wiped away his tear. As Gulf raised his head mew sat beside him tenderly hugging from the side.

Mew: Honey, i would always be with you.

Mel: Me too she said hugging mew and gulf.

Thorn had just entered with alex, lhong and techno.  Mel just stood beside mew wiping her tears.

P'thorn: Me too... We are family remember your elder brother is their for you.

He came and hugged mel ruffling gulf's hair.

Alex, lhong and techno spoke in sync: We too are with you saying this they gave a group hug making gulf giggle.

Why did you all left me behind? Said max who just entered the family drama as he had got a call.

All the eyes looked at him wide because he is one tough guy who hardly allows his emotions to overpower. Today he looked like a jealous freak kid.

Max: What?? I may be bad but i am not devil for sure.

Techno: Devil is still fine but you having feeling is surprising.

Max went ahead and gave a pat on gulf's head " I have feelings and love also".

He also went around and indulged in group hug. Gulf felt himself lucky to have such blessings in his life.

After that day Mel made sure none from Gulf's family met him. The truth was no one ever tried to know about the kid. As if he had no family he existed for non. Aaron was the only one who came on different occasions to meet Mel. She never allowed him also near Gulf.

Mel knew he cared for Gulf because he had a boy same as Gulf's age also he was a single parent. Mel had started knowing Aaron his work, his personal life as they kept meeting on coffee every month on pretext of Gulf's custody matter.

After returning home also it was difficult for Gulf to do any work but still he managed with mew by his side. Many nights he cried in pain but mew was always their to sooth him.

Mel assured him that Suppasit's are taking his custody and she won't allow him to be alone . Gulf's happiness had no bound to receive such a loving mother and caring phi. Soon the custody papers were made making Ruth Suppasit Gulf's legal guardian as per request from Mel. Aaron was sceptical about Mel's choice but she was sure because she felt ruth was very responsible father.

Gulf got assimilated into family with ease. Everyone loved him because he was sweet and calm child. He would go out of his way to help people. Even the strictest of suppasits Mr ruth Suppasit (mews father) also loved this silent monk in his family of devils. But someone was not happy with this inclusion it was p' Tanya. She felt him as an extra burden because he had snatched her loving brother mew's complete attention.

Mew stopped being with his friends just to accompany Gulf. From his appointments to his medicine, meal plans his daily routine everything was hovered by mew. Mew spent his maximum time with Gulf. Took him along wherever he went. They would read, play, eat, talk even did pranks together.

Gulf was opening up he was becoming naughty being with Mew. Mew became mumma bear who would stand like a shield in front of his honey. There relationship was very strong for Mew world comprised of his family and friends but his priority was always Gulf. For gulf his world comprised of Mew and mew's happiness. He loved and cared for everything that is important to mew.

When school reopened for new year. Mew got him into his gang who protected him in school. Gulf's fear with touch never allowed him to make friends. Mew sorted a way he would hold his hand while other person held his other hand. In this way he would get familiar to the touch making it easier for him. All the family members touch was familiar to Gulf now. Outside he could easily be with Techno, champ who were his classmates. Then Max, lhong, alex, pufai who were mews friend.

He no longer feared handshake with soft spoken people after psycological sessions with Dr saint pruk who is renowned psycologist. Gulf attended his session alongwith Max as a result max started getting alongwith gulf. He was still scared of crowd and new touches but mew made sure he was around to make him comfortable.

After Mew it was Mel who Gulf trusted completely. She was no longer his aunt she was his mother for whom he had craved and friend whom he loved the most. He also got along with many hospital staff members due do his monthly visits.

As said everyone can't be happy in group Max was getting on terms with gulf but pufai didn't like gulf while lhong and alex loved him to the core just like a baby. He was younger to them and usual target of bullies. Start of the new session mew made it clear by hitting the most notorious gang that they were not to mess with Gulf Kanawut.

Gulf would never talk to anyone in loud voice. He was always calm even if people gave him slurs. Teachers loved him, his academics earned him respect in all faculties. Max would scold him for every small errands which mew disliked and wanted him to stand for himself but he never did.

Gulf's reasons were clear Mew trusted Max as he was his best friend an important person in mew's life
So, he promised himself to earn max' s trust rather then making him an enemy. Max was just trying to make Gulf a little bold so he can face people when mew or max are not around.

Mew didn't take max's scolding as serious threat he just thought it was just a normal phase and would pass away once Gulf get's used to max things would streamline. Max was naturally hot tempered so he would scold and then regret.

Even if on jealous side pufai never showed it across. She hated the fact Gulf would always be around mew. When they would study their friends group would walk away silently giving space to the two but Gulf would stay back. Truth was Gulf was still very young to understand these terms of love or his feelings had began to change. He understood people easily and found pufai very Cunning which he couldn't explain.

First year of change:

After P'thorn shifted to city for his graduation. Ruth also started being in city for expansion of hospital. He hardly made it back home for months together. It also lead to constant arguments between Mel and Ruth. There relationship was on the verge. Mel was burdened with work as she alone handled the hospital.

P'thanya blamed everything on Gulf her hate kept on increasing for Gulf. As Mel got busy in hospital responsibilities of house came on Thanya's shoulder. Gulf always made sure to help her in every way possible. He understood her trouble and made sure she got enough time for herself.

He even sacrificed his sleep and leisure time to help her with household stuffs. Gulf always respected, loved and cared for her as he knew she was important for mew and Mel.

Gulf took complete care of Mew from getting his time table scheduled to reminding him his plan. Gulf was mew's saviour who always took care of mew's smallest needs. Gulf was early riser he would get up and keep everything ready for mew. From his clothes, books to breakfast and afternoon lunch too.

When mew was going through much of stress with absence of his parents around. With p'thorn being away he started feeling alone. Gulf made him his priority and assured he was loved and not left alone. There were times when Mew would go out with his friends but Gulf had to be home helping Thanya. He was fine with it unless mew was happy.

Before anyone mew and gulf celebrated each other's birthday in Gulf's room which was their safe zone. His window opened to the view of outside garden which had big big trees near fence. Cherry blossom tree was gulfs favourite while mew loved pine. They would spend hours while mew sat on the patio with gulf sitting on his lap with his back leaning on mew's chest.

It was an ideal birthday other then mel and family celebrating their birthdays. One such birthday 2 years after they started living together. when mew turned 14 year old and gulf 12 year old.

Gulf: Bear

No reply as mew was relaxing closing his eyes he felt peaceful with gulf always.

Gulf: Bear

Mew: Hmmmm

Gulf: This year i want a promise.

Mew opened his eyes.

Mew: What promise?

Gulf: We would celebrate each others birthday together even if we fight we would  celebrate it together. This would be place of celebration.

He said raising his pinky finger which mew immediately held in his pinky finger.

Mew: This is not something to be asked as a promise Honey. It's a fact which would stay forever.

Gulf: What after you have a girlfriend?

Mew: Still i would celebrate it with you first then with her and family. What if you have a girlfriend?

Gulf: ( giggling): No chance

Mew(suspiciously): Why?

Gulf: Who would love a person whose life is count on days?

Mew: Gulf, don't even say that you will live a long life. You know this is my merit and birthday wish every year.

Gulf: Ya, and i fear what if you don't wish my life some birthday.

Mew: Stop joking gulf..

Gulf: sorry, let's get back where were we yes i won't be loved by a girl?

Mew: May be you would love someone someday.

Gulf: In that case i will die virgin.

Mew: what rubbish?

Gulf: I just love one person in my life that's you. So, if some girl loves me i can think upon it but if i wait to fall in love with someone it would never happen.

Mew: Feelings change with time just like season. Everything changes gulf you will understand when you grow up. Boys don't love boys we are just brothers' we will have girls in our life made for us just like mae and por have each other.

Gulf: I am not season to change i don't know about girls but one thing i am sure i will be with you till you need me. Love you till i exist.

Mew laughed it out as a joke unknown gulf had realised the feeling of love which he was still searching around.

Mew: Does that mean I am bound to be with you?

Gulf: Nope, this is my promise, my responsibility you are not bound to it

Mew(smiled): idiot why are you so selfless?

Gulf: I am not selfless, i am most selfish person on earth. I would be with you because i love you.

Mew: What promise you want from me other then celebrating birthday together because you have given me a very big promise.

Gulf: You would live your life even if someday i am not their in it.

Mew: Making yourself sound important haan.  Who said i will be effected if you are not their? I won't be....

As soon as he said that gulf started breathing heavily mew got scared he held him flat on ground while gulf closed his eyes. He shook him and then slapped his face...

Gulf squeaked Aou Aou who slaps a dying person.

Mew breathing heavily idiot you almost killed me... Then i saw your eyes moving moron you forgot i took medical first aid training for you.

Gulf: Someone said my death won't effect...

You fool he started running behind gulf then held him and started tickling him filling the complete house with his laughter. Then he hugged him lovingly while mews eyes were wet just the talk of gulf's death would cut his heart into pieces.

After 3 years

3 years passed in a bliss it was Mew's last year in school as then he would go to higher school. Mew and Gulf's relationship grew stronger in these three years. For people Gulf was dependent and required Mew to protect him but only Mel knew how much Mew was accustomed to Gulf. Mew was sensitive, short tempered and Gulf always kept his sanity intact.

Though Gulf had his room in house which was neatly maintained always. He maximum times would be sleeping in Mew's room because they had got used to it. It was common for them to be lying around on each other's lap. Holding each other close if they were not feeling good.

If mew fell ill Gulf would do everything to make him feel better. He would turn grandma trying all the new concotions owing to the fact he hated medicine himself. He worked on natural healing. He would not sleep till mew felt better. Gulf would sing him to sleep, make sure he was warm, well fed, his school work and assignments were taken care off.

He took max's help if mew joined school after his illness to be looked after. Mew was always over pampered by Gulf.

While Mew would take complete home and hospital on head if something went wrong with Gulf. Even if Gulf got food allergy mew would loose his sanity. Gulf's panic attacks reduced considerably. He hardly had nightmares but the days his brain got stressed he would have bad attacks. This could be soothed only by mew.

Premonitions would occur which he only discussed with mew as per promise and also as they knew it can't be changed. They were very rare but nothing that was too bad or serious. Gulf was growing and with that his feelings were getting stronger.

His health had improved with passage of time. He was taken care and loved by Mew alot. Mel stuck to his treatment plan and mew didn't accept any fiddling with it. He made sure to be with him at hospital how much ever busy he was. Every 15 days transfusion still made him weak on days end but Gulf fought through so not to worry mew or mel.

Though Pufai and thanya gave him tough time but nothing mattered till mew loved and trusted him. No one can shake mew's trust on Gulf or vice a versa.

He would earn by writing assignments and making projects for other kids. Also, he received money from thiwat uncle as he helped in cafe ledgers. He saved it for mew whenever he needed it.

Mel thought her kids were all good and able to help each other. She was a proud mumma.

Mew never fought with Gulf after a year when they started being in same house. There was an incidence where thanya got hurt and blamed it on Gulf. Mew was so angry that he bashed Gulf without listening to his side of the story. He in anger asked him to just get out of the house away from them.

Gulf was hurt still asked "where should he go" Mew said  get lost for good. Gulf for sometime went to mew's room then straight out of the house. He went to his old house which was still not rented out, he cried and slept outside on cold floor. It was winters coldest night and gulf couldn't sleep because of his thin clothes which hardly gave any relief from cold. Truth was he couldn't sleep without feeling warmth of his phi.

While taking care of p'thanya mew forgot he scolded or told anything to gulf he slept being tired of crying. His heart ached when he scolded Gulf but thanya was physically hurt. She got stitches on her head due to the fall.

Mew knew Gulf can't do it but seeing thanya crying he lost it. Also, because earlier that night he had seen his father and Mel fighting. Later, his father left Mel Crying alone these scenario somewhat merged. Crying face of his mother and thanya hurt him made him felt useless and he took it off on Gulf.

That was a very bad night because of the fight Mel was also disturbed. She went to Thanya's room and found mew their to take care. He had slept keeping his head on her bed. She forgot to check on Gulf. She also slept and then left for work early in the morning taking thanya along so she could rest in hospital. She didn't knew anything that was happening in house lately because of hectic schedule and constant fights with Ruth.

When Mew woke up without Gulf by his side he searched for him in the whole house. His room was empty , but everything in his room was placed in it's place. Rather mew's things that he would require for the day like his clothes, books, assignments were neatly tagged and kept on his bed.

He found a sticky note which his mom left stating "she was taking thanya along to run some test and they would return in the evening". There was no mention of gulf. He called his mother who was also concerned as she didn't see gulf in the morning she thought he left for school.

Fear engulfed his being on not finding gulf. He roped in max, lhong and alex to find gulf. Finally max and mew had found gulf curled up outside his old house. It was almost afternoon and mew was dishelved crying thinking he lost Gulf.

Gulf was unconcious they admitted him to hospital with high fever which shook mew. He went cold when he understood his stupidity. Gulf's face was completely flushed while he was shivering. Mel was shocked would be an understatement because her picture of perfect bonding between her kid was broken that day.

Mel also blamed herself because when she went back home the other day. She got so busy taking care of thanya that she didn't even ask about gulf.
What a bad mother she was. Her personal conflicts with her husband also was one of the reasons of her being so lost. It was not a reason to forget the kid. She called him son but when it came upon her kids she had forgotten him.

When Gulf woke up she scolded him for doing such a thing. Except mew cursing himself for Gulf's health gulf himself never blamed mew. Rather he said he was missing his mae therefore he went to the old house and doesn't know when he fell asleep there. He didn't let Mel ask sorry because he always said mother can never be wrong. She thought about him in the morning just did not come to the room. He was very good in soothing people with lie.

Mew asked for forgiveness on which Gulf just said " I am not angry just want you to tell me where should I go from here phi bear, I am an orphan and don't have a house if you disown me"

It really hit mew hard. Crying face of Gulf made him feel guilty. It was the first time he had hurt gulf to such an extent. Mew knew how much gulf hated to be called an orphan it was equal to a cuss word for him.

Mew: Next time if i say any such thing fight and punch me but don't leave. That house is yours just as it is my, p'thanya and p'thorns.

Gulf: P'bear i was just coming out of the room while p'thanya was coming upstairs by mistake we collided and she fell down the stairs. I swear on you i didn't hurt her intentionally.

Mew just hugged him and caressed his back.

Mew: Phi is sorry nong it's not your mistake but mine. Phi promises he would never fight with nong.

Gulf finally slept on mew's shoulder, parting he laid gulf but he hugged him even tighter. Mew cooing in his ears made him lie and himself slept beside him while gulf slept mew kept on staring at his face covered with tear stains.

After that he never fought with Gulf. If they had to argue it will be inside the rooms. Giving equal chance to each other for talking. 3 year's was a long time to understand a simple boy like gulf. Gulf was Mew's priced possession which he kept close to his heart. People found them as perfect example of friendship. Though mew was short tempered Gulf could pacify mew in any situation.

Mew also became very sensible he stopped picking up unnecessary fights or getting into trouble. As he knew his opponents could target gulf to get upper hand on him. Once in between the fight mew had to stop when he heard his honey softly saying " Phi bear" his voice had so much fear. He was scared someone might hurt mew. Though mew was taller with strong body and also had max alongside who was a trained fighter still gulf feared for their safety.

Gulf: Phi I don't have anyone except you for me promise you would never get into trouble.

Mew entangled their pinky finger into a true promise.

It was time for starting a new session. Mew was a 10th grader a 15 year old who was sure he likes girl...while Gulf was in his 8th standard a 13 year old. This year school management changed also many new high profile kids had joined in and it was parents teachers meet. Mel and Ruth couldn't make to the meeting. They roped in thorn as he was back home after his 3 year graduation program.

He was working on his business idea which both parents supported. Thorn was amazed with skills and iq of Gulf who gave lot of input in his plans.
He was more intellectual as per his age. Mew was also brilliant and they both together could sort out most issues. He never compared his brothers and loved them equally. He was always worried about Gulf's blind faith in Mew.

P'thanya was in her 12th standard and also worked in a cafe which was owned by Pufai's parents Mr and mrs thiwat. Thanya Liked pufai and felt she was perfect for her younger brother . She was working to set them up on date before end of this year. She knew Pufai loved mew since very young age and had feelings towards him.

Gulf was on counter as an replacement to p'thanya went planning for mew's birthday.

A smart, handsome, rich guy came in cafe instantly got a liking towards Gulf's simplicity at first sight. They were 8th graders but this boy really wanted to be friend with innocent gulf. He tried to make friendship with gulf but being his scared self he just exchanged the duty going in kitchen never to come back. The other kid was adamant he kept on waiting till it was cafe closing time.

Seeing no way to meet Gulf the other kid walked outside the cafe. As the kid hopped into his mercedes, he saw Gulf coming out of the cafe. Gulf came out with a big smile and went to side hugging a boy taller then him. He looked very comfortable and at ease.
The boy decided he will any how do friendship with him.

Thorn attended the parents meet on behalf of his parents. The board decided to many new amendments which were approved by parents. A new parent and businessman was introduced in the social group. He owned many schools, colleges and business. He was board members and on high profile list. Mr Ryan vicharwit whose son bright vicharwit had joined school. He was the same kid who had fallen for gulf's innocence at first sight in the cafe. He was studious and soft spoken hence became Gulf's friend through techno. He also had a sister new vicharwat who studied abroad just like him.

End of school year called for the annual school competition which were set with new rule. The school had rule that there would be two teams competing with each other at school level. A senior team called ace and junior team called jade.

It would be having parameter like music, singing, sports (like football, volleyball etc) the final score tally would announce winners. The winners from the teams finally would go for inter school competition in other country as they can be selected for high level competition.

While Mew lead the captaincy for ace team which had most senior and experience players and best ones. Max, lhong, alex, pufai, Renee etc...

Lhong, max, alex, mew were best at football...

Max had his band which was best performer in music and pufai was voice of the band.

Alex and Renee were good at dance.

The twist appeared when opposition jade team roped in Gulf as main vocalist for its band. Gulf couldn't say no as it was requested through a teacher and would help him in his examination scores. He wished to represent school for the coming year and it was very important from that point of view. Mew also agreed to it unknown that the other team has done it on purpose to trouble Gulf.

For Gulf this was the first year of competition and owing to his health singing seemed to be a safer option. Though now a days he exercised with Mew and also practiced on martial arts. He was a laid back being who hated to fight or tire himself. His health condition didn't allow him to take up active sport as a career option.

Practice for competition started and team kept targeting Gulf. Mew was watching everything being helpless. They called practices on odd times after school even somedays late in the evening. The group was also meddling with Gulf's study material but he kept quite putting extra effort. Opposite team knew Gulf had stage and people fear so he would never stand on the stage so they were ready to use his weakness against Mew.

Late in the evening they called gulf for practice at school community hall. They also invited lot of friends from outside the school. Being afraid of touches and new faces Gulf had a melt down leaving him scared. They just played and scared him so much that he went blank. He ran away to the washroom and they left locking him inside.

Mew was suppose to pick up Gulf but was stuck up at cafe due to thanya and pufai. P'thanya assured that she told max to pick up Gulf and come to cafe. Max reached school but not finding gulf he called thanya who said he might be home not to worry.

When mew and thanya came back home gulf wasn't their. Finally when mew found him he was shattered. Mel filed complaints against the kids getting them rusticated from school. Gulf needed lot of psychological counseling to get through. Gulf was back to his nightmares due to being in claustrophobic condition for longtime he retracted in shell and stopped making friends.

He hardly went to school mew and mel didn't force him. Mew's team won the competition but it also opened a avenue of opportunity for gulf. He performed first time with help of bright and kla. Bright is a trained guitarist while kla on the drums. They performed with gulf on vocals.

Gulf had performance anxiety but he did it because whole time he just focused on his bear. Also, mew gave gulf a star to hold on in his fist which helped him. Mew ran behind the stage as gulf finished just to hold him in his arms as gulf passed out. Everyone appreciated his voice and he got offers for doing some programs. Mew stalled everything till the exams were finished.

It was mew's final and crucial year which he cleared with top score becoming highest scorer for the year. With good grades he got admission in science stream but now was the testing time as he would be joining another school away from Gulf in city.

Mew celebrated his birthday before the starting of new sessions every year. While gulf celebrated one week later. They never missed to surprise each other and gave unique gifts which others envied.

This year as it would last year in school thanya decided to celebrate mew's birthday at the cafe and not home. She made sure only their age friends were allowed sure to chuck off gulf. It hurt him but she sweetly gave a lie that it would be late and she really cares for his health. Also, next day he had his transfusion date.

Mew was not ready but gulf assured he would be fine and mel promised to be with gulf. Mew was not sure about this at all. Mew had his first drink on his friends insistence it was bad as he was hungover. Mew promised gulf after cutting cake with the friends he would surely come back home and cut cake with him.

Gulf had made cake and done all the arrangements he waited and waited but neither mew nor mel came it was going to be 12. He decided to cut the cake himself and wish mew. First time in three year mew was not with him. His eyes were red and puffy due to continuous crying. As he closed his eyes infront of cake to blow the candle he had a premonition which shook him.

He started crying falling on the ground. He went dizzy while his stomach hurt.

Gulf: No, i would have to change this.

He rushed out with cake in his hand. Mel was just getting out of the car she felt guilty looking at a deshelved gulf with cake in his hand.

Mel: I am sorry dear, just got late. We would drop my friend and have dinner out. As it is quite late...

Gulf observed someone sitting in passenger seat of the car but he ignored.

Gulf: Mae, can you please take me to the cafe?

Mel was confused as he was the one who convinced mew and decided not to interfere. She just nodded and rode to the cafe.

Mel: I will just drop my friend and come back to pick up you, mew and thanya.

Gulf nodded and left in hurry.

He went straight behind the cafe the place stood just like he saw in his premonition.

Pufai had got mew out of the cafe.. She had pushed him out through the back door while mew repeated

Mew:  i need to go home pufai, honey would be waiting for me.

Pufai: He can wait today Mew. It's very important day for me. If i don't confess today i may regret my whole life... I love you, mew...

She screamed being excited and nervous. She waited for answer but mew stood their still hungover.

Mew: Pufai, i really don't know what to say....

Pufai: Mew, take your time think and reply but please don't just push me away...

As pufai was trying to clinge to mew he kept on moving back. They almost reached the crossroad. Gulf had a bright smile seeing mew but next scene got his eyes wet. He was crying with cake in his hand which now shivered....
