Interview With AngelaPoppe

So hello everyone, thanks for visiting my book. Here we take interviews of famous writers.

Today, with us is angelapoppe
She has written: Whispered Tales, Whispered Tales 2, Ivory Skies (Whispered Tales 3), Whispered tales Poetry collection, The Moonlight Boy, The Lost Son

Her recent books are The Moonlight Boy and The Lost Son, the first two of Ferry's Tale series.
After an outstanding support given to the Moonlight Boy, raking #1 in Fantasy, Magic, Fairies, and Mystery, she released the second book in less than six months! (if what I remember is right).

Glad that she took her time out for letting us do an interview.

Question 1: how did Ferry came into your mind?

Angela: I wanted to write about a boy fairy because, at the moment, the Fantasy book market was full of warrior princesses and fairy queens. So I wanted people to see life through the life of a fairy boy living in the human world.

Question 2: As we know writing requires patience. Write, discard, rewrite and all. In all these processes, writers often tend to give up. Did it ever happen to you? If yes, how did you deal with it?

Angela: My writing process is a bit different. First, I plan/plot the whole book, and only after start writing. The re-writing begins after the book is finished, during the challenging editing process.

Question 3: is Angelapoppe a pen name?

Angela: Yes, it is. Or half of it, at least. Angela is my real name.

Question 4: what was the most surprising thing that you learnt while creating your books?

Angela: The most surprising thing while writing The Moonlight Boy was that it didn't end up as a stand-alone book, as it was previously established, but the first in a series of five.

Question 5: Any funny incident related to this journey? From Whispered tales to Lost Son?
Angela: I've been writing these series over a period of five to seven years. My girls were very little at the beginning of The Moonlight Boy. The funniest part was that I was telling them the story before going to bed, and they were so into it, they were still awake way past their bedtime, asking to keep on telling the story for hours. Sometimes, they would get scared by the creatures in the story, so we had to share the bed. It was a bit crowded. 😂

Devesh: That was funny.
I remember a friend of mine suggesting me to read a book on wattpad, and it turned out to be mine.

Ferry Donovan aka Prince Garrett deals with multiple ups and downs in his relationships name it Oona, May or Matt. In book two, we can see him kissing multiple times, but only once did he listen to his heart and that too in vain. Does this mean Ferry's relationship status is unstable?

Angela: Well, Ferry is seen through the eyes of the modern generation. But even though a fairy, he lives among people, and he acts as a normal teenager. The shifting of his love life is part of a teenager growing up. How many times did we think we found the one as a teen to discover that we are attracted to a totally different person a few weeks later? I think his undecided nature is more relatable to the readers.

Devesh: well, I am single, never even tried. But if love deals with so many hardships, I am a happy bachelor.
Continuing, we can see high diversity in the way you present the characters. Ben is smart, Matt is a tomboy, May is innocent types, Billy seems to be drained of patently love and Ferry, he's his own kind. All such diversified reactions and a single mind behind them! Are all the characters inspired from people you know? If yes, who? If not, then how do you write such well?

Angela: My characters are loosely based on people I know. Ben is loosely based on my own experiences as a child and teenager (I was a pretty nerd, but not a genius like Ben). Matilda is based on my youngest girl but only in regards to the football part. So I guess I created the characters as reliable as possible so that the readers feel attached to them easily. So yes, you could say they were based on my imagination.

Devesh: I already have bored you enough. A last question, any advice to emerging writers?

Angela: Always outline your book first.
