Hi! I know it's only been 3 days but people have already started showing interest so I decided to update early! This next part is the other half of the poem I started in the first "chapter" and the whole thing is the basis for all my other poems. Enjoy!

Relentless practice,

Day by day,

"Persevere," They always say,

But in their hearts,

They always know,

They're being cruel

For a stupid show.

For all but few,

Who could never guess,

This isn't true,

Their minds a mess.

Unaware of all of this,

As the students like them less.

From the outside, there's nothing amiss,

For hidden is this restlessness,

But growing is the need for bliss,

Far from their wicked carelessness.

Pretty clothes and phony smiles,

But in their eyes,

They've gone many miles.

As their happiness dies,

Added to the list of styles,

Is a way to hide their lies.

Stuck in a room,

No matter the size,

Hours of watching,

The stage holds their eyes.

Cramped in the bleachers,

The students grow restless 

So do the teachers,

As they punish the reckless.

So this is the school which I am sad to say,

Is not the worst at which one must stay,

But the big question is,

To this day,

Why should a school be like this anyway?

I'm not proud of some of these stanzas, but I decided to post them anyway and I didn't want to tweak it, cause these are 100% original and I wanted it to stay that way, plus I was in 6th grade so cut me some slack. There will be a poem for every stanza in this one, the next one will be about homework and tests, it should be better than this half, hope it helped!

P.S. that question at the end of the poem, will be answered in the last poem of this series, so stick around to find out, "why should a school be like this anyway" it's really a rhetorical question, but I will do my best (with research) to find the answer.
