▓*ੈ✩‧₊˚. . . . . Eveline despised supes with every fiber of her being despite being one herself.

She didn't want it, it was thrusted upon her. The only difference between her and the rest was she wasn't profiting off it.

With every breath she took, it she found it hard to control her every growing desire to wipe them out. She had the power to. She could kill an entire city if she wanted out just out of pure bordem. But she wouldn't, not this time. She wanted Homelander to see what she could be capable of if he didn't surrender. To her alone, within her unbreakable grasp. To feel him on his knees, in front of her begging to spare his life as he bleed out. She wanted him underneath her. And she'd do anything for it.

To demonstrate, she wiped out an entire block to her leisure and to her benefit. A mere kill of civilian wouldn't send Homelander and his team to the block, but one that held approximately 100 would do.

The day dims out, as the sun sets. The sky filled with smoke of different colors. Houses burned down, cars, yards. Anything the American dream was envisioned as, gone. She looks at her destruction, smiling at the mess she made. She hums to her herself at how infuriated Homelander would be and how he'd have to explain to the American people how he wasn't here to save them at all.

Hearing moans of pain from her feet made her halts as she was walking along the road. Finding a man clutching his hand as blood pours out of it, his bone prominent as the skin bends in an unnatural way.

For a second, she forgot what her purpose was, how to show Homelander she would stop at nothing to kill him. She walks softly to the man on the ground. Her footsteps make the man crawl back in fear.

She hushed him as she placed a finger to his lips. Her blackened fingertip on the man's lips reminded her of her quest. She removed her finger and sat on one knee in front of him. "I'm sorry for killing your family, believe me." Her delicate voice hides the emotion she actually felt. She didn't care, she couldn't, she wouldn't. If she lets her emotions of protection get the best of her, she can't live with herself with how many people got killed because of her simple fixation on Homelander's impending doom.

She sighed and looked away from his face. Seeing something- someone fly by quick as her eyes could see. Homelander. "But I can not feel sympathy for you. It will only hinder my purpose. I'm sorry." Her face goes stoic as she gazes back at the broken down man.

"Please, I didn't do anything!"

Hearing his plees of fear only made it more difficult for her to endure. She places both of her hands on the sides of his face. She looked into his eyes as her began to turn red, her fingertips emitting a misty red glow around them. "You feel nothing." She said with a hypnotizing voice. Once she sees his eyes glaze over and no incoherent sounds come from him, she grabs him by the top of his head and under his chin. Making her hands go in the opposite direction, she pushed with force. Hearing the crack of his neck, singling, she had killed him for good. If anything, she put him out of his misery.

She dusted herself off and stood. Watching the corpse of the man with an unfazed expression. At that, she heard two feet meet the ground, vibrating it along down to where she stood.

She looks to her left and sees Homelander 10 feet away from her, looking at her with a wide-eyed expression.

He didn't pay mind to the dead civilian and stared at Eveline in her eyes. "And just who do you think you are?" His voice sparks with vexation at her destruction of the block. It was like he had a problem with the mess she made rather than the lives she ended. His tights lips, along with his eyes glowing red, concluded he was gonna fight her. And with how he always held his head high and his cape flowed with the death filled smoke. How the air smelled like burned flesh.

She was impressed that he hadn't just blown her to pieces right then and there. She stood with her hands on her hips and shrugs. "No one important, just someone with a message."

"Oh, your message is clear." He spoke. Scoffing at the mess she made. "All of this," He begins, waving his red gloved hand around not knowing where to start. His lips remain tight as he then points his finger at her. "Was not necessary."

Eveline glances at her fingers, rolling her red mystic power above them. Finding Homelander looking at it with interest. "I assure you it was. For I wanted you here, and it seemed to have gotten the message through."

With a longing stare. Much like a 100-yeard stare ptsd victims have. Homelander tilts his head. "And what exactly do you want? Money? Vought has plenty, I'm sure we can come up with something."

"That's just it." She knew the second she would surrender, Homelander would kill her. She was here to enter with a message and leave with a threat. She needed to get that through him. She shakes her head and laughs. "We both know you'd kill me the second I surrender and claim it was for the greater good, to keep America safe. I'm not that easy, boy."

His eyebrows furrowed at her nickname for him. He clenched his gloved hands and looks at her under his eyebrows, dipping his head low. "What did you just say?"

"Maybe I wasn't clear enough," With her hand still holding her power, she threw it in the air, Homelander didn't mind it. His eyes remained on her figure. "You are a child," She spat. "Who is not worthy of the title America's number one Superhero. You will be nothing after this, for it is I, who will have you on your knees in front of me. Do I make myself clear...John?"

At her use of his real name, he halts him in confusion. As to why a mere hindrance such as her knew his real name. "You're testing my patience- see I was told to harm you, not kill you by vought for some dumbass reason, but I don't think so." He points a finger at her and waves it back and forth like as if he was disapproving of her words. He holds his head up high then brings it down, eyeing her under his eyebrows once more. "I'm Homelander and I can do whatever the fuck I want."

She smirks. This is what she wanted. "Then so be it." How she wanted for this moment. Wasting no time, she propelled herself off the ground with her telekinetic powers. Making her go forward towards Homelander in the air. She throughs blasts that explode on impact to him.

To counter this, Homelander makes them explode mid-air with his lazers. His lazers went through and hits Eveline in different parts of her body. She grunts in pain and she kept herself afloat in the air as she kept making her way to Homelander. Her powers gave her a health regeneration the second she got injured. But it took time to reheal but it was way fast than a normal human.

Her constant throws of blasts unfortunately distracted him from approach, Eveline comes falling down. Grasping onto his shoulders, doing a backflip mid air and landing behind him. She quickly turns around and places her by the sides of his head, the red glow appearing like it did the unnamed civilian. "You can not move, you cannot speak. Get on your knees." She says, as her powers halted him. It was a rare occurrence to see The Homelander bow for anyone and she'd be damn to advantage of it.

Homelander struggled to move, wondering what the hell she just did. He's never seen any power like it, and it fascinated him. Despite his current disadvantage against her, he couldn't help but awe at her scarce powers. No one could bring him down like she did and it made him engrossed, desperate for infomation about her more than it did puzzle him. Though he wished nothing but to kill her with his lazer and tear her heart out. Maybe, just maybe he'd wait for the perfect moment to. Not today though, but in the future.

Eveline then got close to his ear and whispered with anger doused on the tip of her tongue. "You will pay for what you did. You killed my family and your fucking company had the nerve to show up to me and hand me money for compensation for their deaths and in return I say nothing. Nothing!" She emphasizes her last word with hatred.

She closes her eyes as she sees her family dying again in her mind. She grasped his shoulder with all her might as she listened to his irregular breathing. "You may not remember, but I do. October 12th, I will make sure you remember Homelander."

With one hand remaining on his shoulder to ensure her mind control stays, her other place on his back, moving his cape out of the way. "I will tear your heart-"

She unfortunately didn't get to finish. A familiar female voice beckons behind her.

"Hey bitch."

She whips around and was met with a punch to her face. She groans as she stepped away from the two and clutches her cheek. Feeling the burning pain that pulsed on her redden cheek. Eveline looks to see it was only them two that were there with her and not the other teammates.

Queen Maeve grabbed Homelander by the shoulder to help him, but he brushed her off.

Eveline wipes her face and finds specks of blood on her hand. She scoffs and looks to the two. "Cheap shot."

"What can I say," Maeve spoke. Placing her hands on her hips. "I hate terrorists."

Inside, Eveline was distraught at how the world would perceive her now. She didn't intend it, but if it meant Homelander knew her somehow, her mission was complete. She wanted to kill him then and there, but Maeve just had to intervene. She's gonna have to lay low for a while until she plans her next move.

"It seems we'll have to duel another time Homelander." They watched as her body that was filled with holes from Homelanders lazer eyes and her punch from Queen Maeve quickly dissipated and her skin look soft to the touch. "When you least expect it, I will be there." At that, she blasts herself off the ground and flys away.

Homelander said nothing and watched her fly in the air and escape from them. Queen Maeve huffs and pushes his shoulder. "The hell?! You let her escape? Why didn't you kill her?" He looks at Maeve with a gaze that could kill, she quickly mutters a sorry and takes a step back.

Homelander then fixes his attire and cracks his neck as he composes himself, he was unprepared for the woman's fast take down she had on him. He sighs and walks past Maeve. "Don't get your panties in a twist Maeve. Keeping her alive is going to benefit me. And only me. I'll just tell the fucking people she got away before I could get here. Then come up with a fucking sob story. There. You happy?"

She shakes her head. She looks to where the civilian laid dead on the curb and frowns. She walks and catches up to Homelander. "Why am I with you?" She questions.

"Well, cause you love me." He states as a matter of fact. His abrupt stop in his walk, stops Maeve. He turns around and looks at her in the eyes as he held her shoulders firmly. His tight lips stretch to it's ends as he smiled at her. "It's me and you till the end right?"

Maeve sees vans of reports make their way behind them. Coming with there cameras and waiting till they make their way over there. "Yeah," She expresses with forced emotion. She grasps on his shoulders much different to him, she tried to slyly pulls of his hands.

He didn't budge as he looked behind and sees the people filling the area. "Now," He begins. He smiles and rubs the top of her hair. "Cry into my chest and hug me. They need a fucking a believable story about how we didn't make it in time."

And at that, the destruction became more of a cover up than a rescue conclusion. No one was saved, no one was apprehended but blame was their savior. Homelander had explained that the supe was a terrorist hidding on American soil and he'll stop at nothing to apprehended her.

He didn't want to do that. With how she held herself and how gracefully she overcame him. He knew, she'd be a great benefit to his view from the citizens. He'd just have to fabricate his killing from there on out that they were the cause of the American terrorist. He had someone to blame finally and didn't have deal with families crying and saying their his biggest hope in their times of mourning.

Though it was something about her that felt different from his previous encounters. Something that felt good for once under his skin, and he wasn't going to let it go.
