Shortly, the two meet outside their apartments and head out to the Yellow Wood cafe. The walk was far from silent, Minho was surprisingly comfortable with the younger boy and had no problem speaking his mind. While with Jisung, he wasn't complaining when it came to listening. His ears don't mind the boy's voice being the only thing he hears during the morning, because Jisung would admit that his voice was quite comforting. It was nice.
"I feel like you're drifting off while I speak, I mean- I have no problem with it! It's just, are you tired?" Minho questions, his head leaning forward as he turns it slightly to make eye contact with Jisung. The boy does the same movement in order for them to lock eyes, his cheeks have formed a peach-pink color that Minho surely noticed. "You..cold?"
Jisung shoves his hands into his bottom's pockets, he shakes his head vigorously denying it. Yet, the goosebumps that displayed on his skin gave away the truth. "I'm not..." The morning's chilly air was definitely getting to him, also the lingering voice in his head, specifically being Seungmin's that scolded him for not bringing a sweater.
"Uh.." As Minho thinks, he had a light zip up sweater himself. The cold air didn't hurt him much, it actually was somewhat comforting due to it feeling so nice. So he unzips his sweater that is halfway done and slips it off, Jisung watches as he does, he felt guilty that Minho was now going to suffer in the cold. "Don't worry, you need it more."
"I feel bad.." But, the squirrel boy still accepts his offer and sighs. "Are you sure you don't want it?"
Minho shakes his head, a small smile on his face as he reassures to Jisung that he didn't need the clothing article to keep him warm. "I'm fine, the cool air feels good."
"Suit yourself." As Jisung slips the sweater on, it fit well except the sleeves were a bit longer and left his hands hidden within the holes of the sweater. But, he didn't mind it, in fact it kept him even more warm. Not to mention, the sweater also smelled like Minho. He couldn't explain the certain smell he had on him, but it was sweet. Really sweet. "Thanks.."
"Anytime." Minho replies shortly, "So, where does you friend Hyunjin live?"
"Not far from the café, it's on the way to the school." Jisung explains, "I really can't believe that idiot left last night. Something bad could've happened to him."
"That's true." As Minho agrees with his comment, "He seemed really uncomfortable, was it because of us?"
Jisung shakes his head, "No, he's just shy sometimes. As many times as I tell him none of my friends will bite, he still clams up. I'm guessing it'll just take a lot of time."
"I bet."
After their short talk ends, the walk to the café is silent. The noise of the slight busy street filled their ears, the breeze now being louder than their own breathing. To Jisung fumbling with Minho's sweatshirt to keep him occupied as they walked. Their arrival didn't take much time, since most of their minutes were wasted by their small talk, it wasn't awkward for too long. Minho opened the door for the both of them, allowing Jisung to enter first before he does. The café was busy, even if it was early morning still. "Woah, there's a ton of people..." Minho whispers to himself, Jisung nods from the comment made as this is nothing new to him.
"Trust me, it's worse throughout the day."
Minho smiles, "That must suck...but, I'll pay, what do you want?"
"You really don't have to," Jisung kindly rejects his offer first, but Minho states that it's fine and in fact he wants to. "You already gave me your sweater...I think I should pay for you."
Minio shakes his head, "It's cool." Jisung sighs from the stubbornness of the older and gives in shortly,
"I'll take an iced peach tea. Any size is fine."
"See, that wasn't too hard?" Minho teases, ruffling the boy's hair as they stand in line. Jisung fixes it after he creates the disaster, "It's just an iced tea, it won't do my wallet any damage."
"But I feel bad~" Jisung emphasizes, "Don't do anything more for me today! I'll actually cry."
"I really don't want that." As Minho's eyes widen from his last sentence, "Please don't cry. But, fine. We really need to check on Hyunjin, but after what do you want to do?"
Jisung shrugs, "Anything, I'm not a picky guy."
"Alright cool." The older waits in line while Jisung walks away to a nearby table. He sits himself down and uses his phone in order to pass time while Minho gets their drinks. Jisung couldn't wrap around any ideas to why Minho was being so nice, the only thing that turned the lightbulb on was Minho wanting to make a good impression. But, the thing is he already has. The older brunette was definitely a nice guy, Jisung would admit that any day. He'd also be up to hang out with him if the boy offered, it was as simple as that. Maybe he was overthinking it too much and shouldn't worry about his kindness, but he's never met someone this kind in a while. The closest person he can parallel Minho to is Seungmin, but the younger used his words a bit more harshly.
He also wanted to inform to Minho that he shouldn't do so much for him, they've only just met and it's a bit too much to handle for himself. Jisung wasn't use to this type of treatment when it came to blossoming friendships, but maybe he'd become familiar with it since it was already happening. This was making his head hurt, a lot.
Jisung also checks the messages he sent to Hyunjin, he hasn't been receiving anything and it somewhat was bothering him. Somewhat wasn't the right word to use, but it was. Was Hyunjin that careless to leave so late? He could lecture the boy for hours if he had the chance. But, there was a high possibility that Hyunjin was still sound asleep at the moment, so good thing he always left an extra key under his doormat. "You ready?" Minho's voice questions, Jisung looks up from where he's sitting and the older is carrying a bit too much for his hands to handle. "I got you food as well, I don't think a drink will satisfy you."
Jisung smiles, stuffing his phone into his pocket as he grabs the drink Minho offers him. "Thanks, you really didn't have to though."
"I wanted to, so it's fine." Minho firmly states, but he wasn't mad he was obviously happy about his recent transaction made. "So, we're going to Hyunjin's place right?"
"Yeah, if he doesn't answer we can use the key from under his mat. But, if his so called scary roommate is home. We ask him if it's okay to enter."
"Hyunjin has a roommate?" The brunette questions, they take their leave from the Yellow Wood café and begin to walk. More of, Minho follows the way that Jisung takes. "I thought he lived by himself."
"His roommate's name is Seo Changbin. He works at a nearby music shop." Jisung explains, "I think..oh, there it is!" He then points to across the street, the outside display of the shop isn't that great. But, you should never judge a book by its cover. "He's a cool guy, buff but short."
Minho snorts, "He can't be that short."
"Oh, he's short." Jisung confirms, nodding his head a couple of times. "You've got to trust me when it comes to that fact."
"I'll believe you once I see him."
"And what if he's working?" Jisung raises a brow to the older, the question makes Minho think for a second.
"Show me him next time then."
"Alright." Jisung agrees to his request, another thought also pops into his mind as they talk about the Seo Changbin. "Did you know he's interested in one of my roommates? Don't tell him I said anything. I trust you, but I don't see what's the big deal about it."
"Who? Is it Felix?"
Jisung shakes his head, "It's Seungmin, he never likes talking about it. Not even to Hyunjin, I don't get why."
Minho's eyes widen as he was now informed that Changbin was interested in Seungmin, from the scenes he's collected and analyzed Hyunjin was most definitely crushing on Seungmin. So both roommates having a crush on one boy, seemed like quite the quarrel. "Maybe Hyunjin has a crush on Seungmin, that's why Changbin is keeping it a secret."
"Nah, it can't be." Jisung denies, Minho doesn't understand why he does though. "Seungmin doesn't seem like his type, also the boy is pretty much afraid of him. Or maybe just really shy, he never acts like that when he's alone with Felix."
The older shrugs, mumbling, "Well, that says something."
"Huh?"
"Nothing." Minho states, "Are we almost to Hyunjin's place? I feel like we've been walking forever!"
"Yeah, yeah." Jisung scans the area as he recognizes the street, "We're pretty close."
As the cross a street and make a left, Jisung still leads the way as Minho causally follows. They arrive at an apartment complex, which Jisung makes his way into. They climb up a flight of stairs and down the walkway towards one of the doors. The squirrel boy stopping in his tracks, he knocks of the door number 325. Seconds after his action, the door opens and there presents Hyunjin. Eyes and posture displaying that he obviously has just woken up. "What..." His tone filled with irritation.
"Why'd you leave last night! We were worried all about you!"
"You weren't even aware that I left." Hyunjin groans, trying to shut the door but Jisung slaps his hand to where he keeps it open. "I'm fine...you should go."
"Why are you so grumpy?" Jisung questions, worried about his friend. Hyunjin didn't answer and continues to push the door back into his original position. "Uh, hello?"
"I'm tired..can you just text me?"
"Why text you when we're already here!"
"Hyunjin, excuse me." Changbin's voice now appears as he opens the door, swinging it to where it almost hits the wall behind it. "I need to get to work."
As Minho takes a glance at the shorter boy, he guess Jisung wasn't lying at all. He was pretty short. There was nothing wrong with it, but he was somewhat surprised that Jisung wasn't exaggerating his words. "You're Changbin?"
The ravenette nods, adjusting his hat as he walks beside Hyunjin to get out of their apartment. "I am, but I really need to get going. I'll see you later Hyunjin, lock up when you're leaving." The older leaves in a hurry, as if he's running late.
"Hyunjin...why are you so grumpy?"
"No reason." He firmly replies, "You should go though, really I'm fine and don't overthink it too much."
Jisung finally gives in, his hand leaving the door's surface and falling back to his side. "Alright..." He softly says, Hyunjin closes the door and the two hear the unpleasant sound of the lock. From the sound of it, Hyunjin was quite forceful with the small knob. "What's up with him..?"
"You should just leave him be." Minho suggests, "Pushing him will only lead him to become even more angry."
"But I don't get it!"
"It's okay, we all don't get it at first but one day we surely will understand."
Jisung lets out a small whine as his brain is going wild from his thoughts, "Fine..you think he's gonna he okay?"
"He will." Minho reassures, "I'm sure he will."
