At school the next day, Freddy thought it'd be great if they pranked Berke and Brett. Which is why Billy was in Shazam form, waiting for his cue. The Breyer brothers got out of their truck and began walking up to the school. That was when Billy sneakily flew down since he had been hovering out of sight and he picked up the truck. 

The Breyer brothers turned around when they heard a thud, staring at the empty place their truck used to be with confusion on their faces.

"Uh, Berke," Brett said, glancing around with confusion. "Where's the truck?" 

Berke gets the keys out of his pocket and presses the lock button. The brothers look down the road to their left and then to their right as they heard the car, but didn't see it. "I can hear it." Berke replied, glancing at Brett with furrowed eyebrows. He and his brother kept looking around for their truck.

Meanwhile, from her hiding place with Freddy, Devyn gave Billy the signal to drop the truck he held. The brothers both jumped, startled when suddenly the truck fell from the sky. It landed roughly on the ground and it was not in good shape. Smoke came out from the car and the horn kept going off. 

"The truck!" Berke shouted worriedly. Students who were outside the school were now watching what was happening. Some looked shocked and others looked amused, all of them talking amongst themselves about what just happened. Some students even recorded the scene on their phones. 

Brett hands were on the back of his head and a look of shock is on his face. "Are you kidding?"

From her hiding pace with Freddy, Devyn looks above at Billy and she grins at him, giving her a thumbs up. Billy grins back at her and gave her two thumbs up before he flew away to turn back to his normal self. Devyn and Freddy then walked over to the Breyer brothers. Freddy had a GoPro on his helmet, recording everything. Devyn had her arms crossed, glancing at the ruined truck with fake sympathy on her face. 

"Huh, that's real unfortunate." She sarcastically commented, earning a glare from the brothers and in return she just smiled sweetly at them.

"You know, guys," Freddy says, glancing at the brothers. "I don't think that's gonna buff out."

Devyn and Billy waited in the hallway for Freddy. He was in the teachers lounge, getting a trench coat. Freddy threw the trench coat at Billy, looking at him and Devyn with disbelief. "Making the crippled kid do all the dirty work, wow."

"Devyn and I are better look outs!" Billy defends himself and Devyn. "We can play innocent."

"And I can't?" Freddy asked incredulously, gesturing to himself.

"I mean, you can," Devyn nods with a sheepish expression on her face. "But people would still think you're suspicious."

Freddy rolls his eyes. "Why would they think a crippled kid is suspicious?" 

"Your face gives off a very strong vibe of someone who's hatching schemes." Billy responded. Devyn nodded, pointing at him in a sign of agreement. 

"M-My face? This face?" Freddy asked with confusion, pointing at his face.

"Yeah." Billy nodded. 

"Okay." Freddy shook his head and the trio continued walking down the hallway. The three of them acted natural as they walked past the security guard, trying to make it to the exit without being caught.

"You kids got a hall pass?" The security guard called out to them, causing them to stop and turn around to face him.

"Oh, us? Yeah. Always." Freddy smiled.

The security guard points at him. "You." Freddy's eyes widen and he points at himself in question. The security guard stands up since he had been sitting down and glances at Freddy suspiciously. "You look like you're up to something."

Devyn and Billy glance at Freddy with an 'i told you so' look as Freddy glances at the security guard with confusion. "Me? Up to something?" He shakes his head. "No. Never am I up to something."

"Our dad's picking us up." Billy lies. "He, uh, he got held up at the...The business office." Devyn internally groaned at his lame excuse of a lie. She wouldn't believe him if she was the security guard.

The security guard raises his eyebrows. "The business office?" He nods, looking unconvinced. "Sure, kid. Look, parents or guardians must appear physically to check out students."

"Right. We knew that." Devyn nodded.

"Gotcha." Billy smiles, beginning to walk around the corner. "Okay, you hear that, dad?" 

"Hey!" The security guard called out to him. 

Billy whispers 'Shazam' and a bright light is seen. Billy then walks into the hallway with the trench coat on, tied around him so the security guard wouldn't see his suit. "Oh, hey, there son." He glances at Freddy and Devyn with a smile. "Oh, hey there, other son and daughter who I also have," He points around the corner. "Who's related to that son I just found in the hallway." He looks at the security guard apologetically. "I'm so sorry I'm late. I got held up at the business office....Doing all the work stuff."

Billy glances at Freddy and Devyn, pointing at the security guard. "This is the...The security guard that all the kids admire so much?" He looked back at the security guard with a smile, putting his hands on his hips.

The security guard looks surprised and then he smiles. "Yep, that's him." Devyn went along with what Billy said and smiled.

"Not him. That's the other one. This one's sucks." Freddy commented, wincing when Devyn elbowed him in the ribs.

Billy sends him a small glare. "That's not funny." He points at him, glancing at the security guard. "I'll talk to him about that. I apologize. Anyways, this is me appearing physically to check my sons and daughter out of school." Devyn smiles politely at the security guard, waving at him as Freddy smiles and salutes him. The two of them began walking down the hallway. "So thank you, so much for keeping them safe." Billy leans forward to get a closer look at the security guard's name tag. He smiles. "Detective Moron." He gave the security guard a thumbs up before he followed Devyn and Freddy outside.

The security guard frowns. "It's Moran."

The next day the trio decided that they should test out Billy's and Devyn's abilities they might have. They found an abandoned place that they could practice in because where else would they test them out? If they tested their abilities out in public people would probably freak out.

"You ready?" Freddy asked.

"Algebra!" Billy shouts, shooting a lightning bolt at the textbook Freddy threw in the air. "Science!" Devyn hands Freddy the next textbook, grinning as Billy zapped the textbook. "English!" 

"Health!" Devyn threw the last textbook, laughing and glancing at Billy with amusement when he laughed with excitement.

Freddy wrote notes in his notebook he brought with him. 'The following features stunts are preformed by superheroes. (under supervision of their manager) don't try at home like an idiot.' was written on the paper he showed to the video camera he brought with him since he was recording this. Before the video started, Devyn changed into her sidekick form. 

SUPER STRENGTH 

TEST 1 

Devyn rolls her eyes, watching as Billy does the floss. Billy clearly didn't realize he was suppose to test out his super strength now. "Billy!" Devyn scolded.

"Oh, oh." Billy said in realization. He sheepishly smiled and stopped flossing. He then punched the pillar that was on his right and half of it broke. Devyn stepped forward and punches what was left of the middle of the pillar, breaking it in half so now it only had the top half and the bottom half.

Devyn grins as she high fives Billy, who looked at her with a grin. "That was awesome."

Next the trio found a old barrel and Billy flicked it, sending it flying backwards crashing into the wall. Devyn laugh as a wide smile formed on her face. "Super strength, check." 

FLIGHT 

TEST 2 

The trio found a skate ramp nearby where they practicing our abilities and decided to use it since no one was there. They figured it could be helpful with testing out this ability. Billy stands at the top and starts running down it and once he was at the other end he goes to jump. He doesn't go that high and eventually falls back down, landing on his back and groaned in pain.

Devyn winces. "That looked like it hurt."

Freddy nods in agreement. "You okay?"

After a moment of silence, Devyn was beginning to think he wasn't okay, but she smiled with relief when Billy gave her and Freddy a thumbs up. Then it was Devyn's turn. She picked up a bat that she found laying nearby and go up behind Billy without him knowing. Devyn hit him in the head with it and the bat breaks in half.

"So cool." Devyn murmured, staring at Billy with an awestruck looked. The fact that he was indestructible was amazing. She froze, looking nervous as Billy turned around and looked at me with a harsh glare.

"Ha ha ha ha," He sarcastically laughs. "So funny." He then shot a lightening bolt at Devyn, but she raised her arms up in front of her instinctively only to surprise herself when the lightening bolt bounced back off of what seemed to be a force field. With a shocked look on his face, Billy super sped out of the way just in time before the lightening bolt hits him.

"You can create force fields!" Freddy exclaimed excitedly.

Devyn laughs in disbelief as she stares at the force field in front of her. "Wow."

The trio keeps on trying out different things to test out what kind of abilities Devyn and Billy would have. Like for example, Billy tried hitting his hand with a hammer, and the hammer breaks in half. 

LASER EYES  

TEST 1

Billy tries it out first. He stands in front of a barrel and looks at it. Nothing happened at first which disappointed Billy. Devyn then notice that he raises his hand up, trying to hide it on his left side and shoots a lightening bolt at it, pretending that he had laser eyes. "Ooh, I did it."

Devyn giggles a bit and rolls her eyes. "Nice try, Billy. We both know you faked that."

Billy shrugs. "It was worth a shot."

"Okay, Dev, your turn." Freddy smiled.

Devyn raises her hands in defense. "I'm not even gonna bother with trying. I don't wanna look like a fool if I end up not having it."

Billy looks at her with offense. "Are you saying I looked like a fool?"

Devyn giggles a bit and nods. "Yep."

TELEPORTATION POWERS 

TEST 1

The next test Billy and Devyn was trying is teleportation...But Freddy had another plan. 

The trio got two boxes, marking them number one and number two. Billy gives Devyn and Freddy a thumbs up before he gets in the first box, closing the lid on top of it with him in it. What Billy didn't know was that Freddy was planning to play a prank on him. Marking out the teleportation on the notebook paper, Freddy then wrote below it 'secret fire immunity'.

SECRET FIRE IMMUNITY

 TEST 1 

Devyn was against this whole thing, thinking it was stupid and reckless, but part of her wanted to see what would happened so she didn't stop him. Freddy hands her the oil and she pour the oil over the box Billy was in and makes a line with the oil. Devyn made sure she's out of the way when Freddy lights a match and then dropped it on the line of oil. The fire spread all the way to the box Billy was in.

The box soon erupts with flames. Devyn and Freddy looks at each other worriedly since they haven't heard anything from Bill yet. A few seconds later, Billy broke through the box perfectly fine which caused Devyn and Freddy to sigh with relief. Billy glared at the Devyn and Freddy.

"It was his idea!" Devyn pointed at Freddy, looking nervous when Billy kept walking towards her and Freddy. She didn't like the angry look he had I his face. She probably should've stopped Freddy from pranking Billy.

Freddy glares at Devyn and sarcastically said, "Thanks for throwing me under the bus!"

"Okay, we're sorry!" Devyn apologize in a nervous tone. Devyn starts running to the other end of the place, seeing that Freddy was still trying to get away from Billy which made Devyn realized that she ran a lot faster to than she normally runs.

"You still have hyper speed!" Freddy grins. "Great!"

Devyn didn't really see why they needed a YouTube channel, but Freddy decided it would be great there was a YouTube channel of her and Billy trying out their abilities. He made one, naming the channel 'HeroManager'. He then uploaded the videos he has of Devyn and Billy practicing their powers and so far it seemed like they were getting really popular. The views and followers kept going up with each video he posted. Devyn honestly was surprised with how popular they were getting. They almost had a million subscribers. 

Since Billy still hasn't been able to fly, the boys suggested that Devyn should give it a go. Freddy's great idea was for her to jump off one of the small buildings that were nearby and Billy would be standing on the ground below ready to catch Devyn if she doesn't have flying powers. Devyn wasn't hesitant about this idea because she didn't want to get hurt. She really hoped that she had the ability to fly and if not then she hoped Billy would catch her.

Freddy was standing besides Devyn with his video camera pointing at her.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? Because I don't want to end up like a pancake." Devyn nervously said as she looked over the edge of the building down where Billy was standing. She shouldn't keep looking over the edge since each time her nerves and anxiety grow. She hated how everything looked so far away.

Freddy nods and smiles reassuringly. "I came up with it, so of course it's a great idea." He gestures for her to go. "Now hurry up and go." Devyn rolled her eyes, slightly annoyed with him.

"Yeah, don't worry!" Billy calls out to her. He smiles reassuringly at her. "I'll catch you!" His words were reassuring and calmed Devyn down a bit, but not all the way since she still nervous. Devyn nodded in response, closing her eyes. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes as she does a running start before she jumped off of the building.

Devyn scream while she began free falling. Shutting her eyes closed tightly as fear runs through her veins, she was beginning to think that she doesn't gave the ability to fly. She stops screaming whenever she realized she didn't hit the impact of the hard ground. She hesitantly opens one eye, fearful of what she would see. She opened her other eye and laughed with surprise when she saw she was flying in mid air.

"Yes!" Billy cheers. "You can fly!"

"Flying, check!" Freddy announced in an excited tone as Devyn twirled around in the sky in excitement.

Since Devyn was able to fly now, Billy decided to see if he had the ability to fly. The trio was in the city now, despite the fact Billy was as Shazam and Devyn was as Skyvolt. Devyn  stood besides Freddy with her hands on her hips, watching as he held the video camera that was aimed at Billy.

"Remember, single bound." Freddy reminded him.

Billy nods and super jumps upwards, it fails and he crashes into a window of a tall building. Devyn winced, covering her eyes with her hand when she heard the screams of frighten people from the inside building. Wait, why would people be screaming in fear? Devyn's eyes widened in realization and she lowered her hand, sharing a shocked look with Freddy.

"He just crashed into the building." Devyn said with surprise.

"Yep." Freddy nodded.

"So no flying powers." Devyn guessed.

Freddy nods in agreement. "It seems like you only have them so far and we probably could've figured that Billy doesn't have them yet with a different way." He shrugs. "But oh well, at least we know now."
