Ragnarök.

Doom of the Gods. Twilight of the Gods. End of the Gods. The world ends.

One of the many fated prophecies that foretold the end of the world. Just like Armageddon, judgement day, the apocalypse, the end of the world, the end of life as we know it.

It is just one of many prophecies that foresaw the end of all life as we know it and yet, the start of a new beginning.

In proper human history Norse mythology. Ragnarök shall unleash a series of impeding events and a great, final battle between many mythological figures in the Norse/Scandinavian mytho realm. First will come terrible winters that will last for three years just before Ragnarök begins. In that time, the sun will dim, evil forces freed, and wars waged by humans shall occur.

At the helm of the dark prophecy. Loki the Trickster God. God of Mischief. One of the most well-known Norse Gods in the Norse mythology. He who thrives on chaos.

Who is also known as the God who got knocked up by a stallion known as Svaðilfari in order to ensure the horse master (who was tasked to building the walls of Asgard) did not win a bet. This happened by Loki transforming into a beautiful mare and seducing the stallion, which enraged the builder and caused him to accidentally reveal himself as a Jotun.

He was killed since he was technically their enemy.

And Loki gave birth to his son. An eight legged horse named Sleipnir.

And along the way he would marry a giantess: Angrboða. And father more children, some very well known.

The progeny Hel, the goddess of death; , the serpent that surrounds the world; and Fenrir (Fenrisúlfr), the wolf.

All who would play a part in Ragnarök.

Loki would amass an army of Giants and other powerful forces and lay siege on Asgard. His three children: Hel, Jörmungand, and Fenrir would break free from their imprisonments to join their father.

A mighty battle of the Gods will commence and be felt all over the world as Ragnarök begins. Many Gods and beings will perish in Ragnarök. Including: Thor, Loki, Odin, Heimdall, Hel, giants. Many will fall. The earth will trembled and be set ablaze. The sun and moon destroyed, the sky falling, the world sinking beneath the waves.

Everything gone.

But where there is darkness there is light.

Ragnarök might be an end, but it is also a beginning. The World Tree Yggdrasill is one of the few things that will survive the great cataclysm. Along with just two humans -Lif and Lifthrasir- and some animals as well that were sheltered by the World Tree branches. A new Earth will emerge from the carnage, filled with new life. Where Lif and Lifthrasir are foretold to repopulate the world.

And some gods shall return, including the once dead Baldur to rebuild Asgard. Ushering in a new golden age.

(Who knew learning about other mythologies could be so interesting?)

That is what is known by the common everyday people of Proper Human History. In the Moonlit World there is a slightly different understanding of it.

Much like the legends foretold in normal mythology. The mage side of it reveals a hidden part to it. Besides already happening, what is unknown to most people is that Ragnarök ultimately signaled the end of the Age of Gods in the Scandinavian mythology and bring about the Age of Humanity.

Leaving humans to pave the way for advancement of human civilization in Scandinavia.

(Of course, while people did believe in the Gods. There has never been concrete proof of their existence. Despite many evidence that could only point to divine intervention. So, they would never know of the truth behind Ragnarök hidden meaning.)

Loki of course also had in this. Bringing about many disasters which ultimately culminated in the invasion of Muspelheim's Muspel.

Led by their king, Surtr. Who was destined to bring an end to the Age of Gods in Ragnarök.

On the Lostbelt side of things, Surtr deviated from his predestined path and tried to not only bring an end to the Age of Gods. But to the world itself. Devouring Fenrir to steal his authority one the Wolf had devoured the Sun and was recuperating.

Thanks to the sacrifice of nearly all the gods, Odin was able to seal Surtr away as a false sun. Of course, it all came tumbling down to a head when Chaldea had to cut down the Tree of Emptiness that sustain the Lostbelt: Götterdämmerung.

That was the Ragnarök that many people knew.

But here?

"Excuse me, Gudao." The voice of Director Goredolf could be heard. "But did you just say that RAGNAROK is about to happen in this world!?"

"Yep!"

Gudao nodded his head.

The group, having left the city and heading to a secure, remote area free of interference and spying. Had opened a channel to Chaldea. Informing them of what they had just learned.

To say the least that they were shocked and mindblown was an understatement.

"But instead of being an end of the world prophecy...it's a tournament!?!?"

The poor guy looked like he was going to faint...or have a heart attack. One of the two.

"Well, technically it could kind of still be the end of the world prophecy like back home."

Gudako nervously sweatdropped.

"I mean, if the humans lose the Gods will wipe them out."

"And that's another thing."

Sion spoke up.

"The Gods are very much part of this world (as we already knew from the initial inspection). You could even say they hold an integral part of it. But it's not just one group of Gods. It's the entire package! Gods from every religion, every myth, every legend."

"They are real here!"

"Very much."

(M/N) frowned, his mind still digesting what they had learned in the city.

Unlike the Gods back in their world, the Gods here didn't really need human faith to keep them alive and all powerful.

Hell!

They existed long before humans came into being! And if the stories here were to be believed, they been around long since before the Big Bang happened!

That's old!

"Guess that's why they earned the title of Creator."

(F/N) sighed.

"...And then there's you..."

Sion blinked as she stared at her.

"One of the weirdest things I have ever experienced, and I have experienced a lot. And yet you take the cake."

Sion deadpanned, as (F/N) shrugged.

The female just going with the flow as Chaldea tried to digest that as well. Deciding that for the sake of their sanity, to just not question it and accept it as one of those things that just happen for no explainable reason.

"We're getting off track."

Sherlock Holmes interrupted.

"We need to focus on the important details of what we have just learned."

"Ri-Right." Goredolf stumbled a bit. "Thanks for the reminder, Advisor."

Composing himself, he turned to the group.

"All right, so Ragnarök is about to happen." Goredolf started. "However, it is not happening in the way we imagined it to."

"Instead of being a doomsday prophecy like it is in Proper Human History."

"Well technically it is a doomsday kind of thing still."

(M/N) corrected.

"The final clash between man and God. If humanity loses then they're dead."

"...Right."

Goredolf sweatdropped as did several others.

Moving on!

"The Gods have existed long before the universe began."

Da Vinci spoke up.

"And apparently are regarded highly despite their decision to wipe out humanity."

Kadoc added.

"..."

Wodime said nothing as he pondered this new, strange development.

"Is this the disturbance that Sheba picked up?"

Ophelia asked.

"Unknown." Sion shook her head. "While it might have something to do with Ragnarök, it is still unclear even for us."

"And what about the holy grail?"

Kiana asked.

"No doubt that there's a holy grail here. What its purpose is another thing."

She added.

"This isn't a Singularity, nor a Lostbelt." Adam frowned, his tail swaying from side to side. "Nor is it a pseudo version of them. It's a real world."

"Maybe the reason we are here is to stop Ragnarök?"

Adele asked.

"For what reason though?"

Macarios frowned as he stared at his twin sister.

"What could entering this Murder Death Kill abridged version of the Holy Grail War do for us?"

Emiya and fem Emiya twitched at Murder Death Kill. Their trauma of Rin the terrible trying to claw their way up.

They weren't Actually Satan for crying out loud!!

"We are here for a reason."

Gali, ever the voice of Wisdom, spoke up.

"Perhaps the answer isn't clear now. But I have no doubt that when this Ragnarök happens everything will be made abundantly clear."

The Toa Nuva of Water finished.

"..."

"Watersister is quickright."

Lewa spoke up.

"Knownot we don't about reasonclear we are here." He said. "Truthseek the answer. Quicksoon it will come up."

"As shocking as it may sound...he's right."

Kopaka surprisingly said.

"Even though it annoys me to say. We should take a watch and wait approach to the situation until we know more of what is happening."

"..."

"Agreed."

Tahu said.

"Besides." He added. "We should take this opportunity to help our newest teammate."

He nodded to (F/N).

"Relearn the basics and create her own fighting style suited to her."

"That is the best course for now."

Onua nodded.

*POUND*

"This is going to be fun." Pohatu smiled. "It's been a long time since any of us get to have any kind of teaching/training lessons."

"Go easy on her."

Takanuva shook his head.

"She just got a physical body recently."

"Ohhh, I don't think you'll have to worry about that."

(F/N) smirked as she lifted her head.

*CREEEEAK!!*

And removed a massive tree from the ground.

"Inexperienced or not, I can still kick your ass!"

With that said she threw the massive tree right at Takanuva!

*THUD!*

*WHOOSH!*

The tree landed where Takanuva had been a second ago. Only for the Toa of Light to easily avoid it as he got his Staff of Light out.

"Oh, it's on!"

Takanuva shouted as he charged at the woman.

*FSH!*

"Bring it on, Takua!"

(F/N) shouted as she charged at him.

*CLANG!!*

The two weapons clashing against each other!

"Already!?"

Goredolf Musik and Jingle Abel Meuniere screamed in shock.

"No time like the present!"

Kiana shouted back.

While the others waited for an opportunity to join the fight. (M/N) continued speaking with the Chaldea staff.

"In two months this...tournament of death will happen. A tournament that will decide the fate of this world."

'Reminds me of the World Martial Arts tournament back in Goku world.'

(M/N) thought to himself.

Remembering their stories of how sometimes the tournaments were often used to determine the fate of the world.

And in the Tournament of Power case, the fate of the multiverse.

That was the time (M/N) truly felt pushed to surpassing his limits. Against opponents like Jiren, he learned to break past the limits that he had.

It also taught him that even he still had limits that he could break.

"When it starts...that's where we'll get our answers. I'm sure of it."

He spoke with confidence.

"Maybe there isn't a holy grail (though I doubt it) here, but we were brought here for a reason, and I want to know what it is."

"..."

"...Lord (M/N)."

The voice of Parvati caught his attention as he turned to the Indian Goddess who possessed a stern look on her face. One that she often reserved for Kama whenever the psychopath of a goddess was up to no good.

"Yes?" (M/N) asked. "And don't call me lord, you know I hate that."

"Well, considering your who and what you are." Parvati said. "No."

"Damn it."

(M/N) sighed.

"What is it?"

"When the tournament begins, I request that you let me, and the others come to that world."

?!?!

"That's unexpected."

(M/N) blinked.

"If I may ask, Lady Parvati." Mash spoke up. "For what reason do you wish to come here?"

"..."

Parvati had a conflicted look on her face as she spoke up.

"I am finding it very difficult to believe that my husband Lord Shiva would willingly wish for the annihilation of the human race. True, he is known as The Destroyer but I'm still having a hard time believing that he would do such a thing."

Truly, the thought that Lord Shiva, the Lord of Dance, would want to slaughter the humans that were under his protection was horrifying and inconceivable back in their world.

The humans amused Shiva and often times he would secretly go to the mortal world to join in on the festivities. He loved to dance and the humans were quite creative in forming new dance styles.

"Many of us also have somewhat similar reasons to go."

Scathach-Skadi, or better known as Skadi, spoke up this time.

"Admittedly, a part of me yearns to see my fellow gods." The former Lostbelt King admitted. "But another part of me cannot stand by and watch them eliminate the human race just because they are flawed!"

*CRASH* *CRASH*

"I too, cannot ignore this."

Zeus said as well.

"It is true that me and my kin are a different existence in comparison to our Proper Human History selves regardless of having their memories."

He started.

"But still, regardless of our Proper Human History selves conduct and actions. We still retain the love they have for humanity."

'In more ways than one.'

Many thought to themselves.

"As such, even for me, my counterpart and the Olympians actions are hard to understand. Their reasoning does not make sense and is flawed."

"Even more flawed than we are."

Demeter added.

"It's really a pain."

Aphrodite groaned.

"Makes me wonder just how much truth there is to the stories in this world."

The Goddess of Love groaned.

"That means that there must be some smoking hot goddesses there!"

Plushie Orion cheered in happiness as he flew into the air.

*TWMP!*

"GH!!"

Plushie Orion said as he was impaled to a wall.

*TWIP* *TWIP* TWIP*

"Oh, my Darling! We talked about your naughty habit of saying such things!"

Artemis said with a scary smile.

As everyone looked to a viciously impaled Orion.

Super Orion sweatdropped but said nothing.

A giant he maybe. But Artemis possessed insane inhuman strength when she hugged him!

"...Well, at least he's more attractive than those idiots back in that world."

Jalter had to admit, remembering the time they were in Union.

Just how low did you have to go to say that a teddy bear plushie version of Orion was far more attractive than the lizard booberer and lameass playboy cassanova wannabes?

Very low apparently.

So low that not even best limbo player could beat.

Everyone else just sweatdrop, even Artemis had to take a pause to sweatdrop as they remembered that world.

So sad.

"We need to see with our own two eyes the truth."

Ishtar frowned.

"We need to see why they are doing this."

Ereshkigal agreed with her sister.

They needed answers and they wanted to see just how different their counterparts are in this world.

"Tch!"

Archer Gilgamesh tched.

"As far as I'm concerned, we should teach those gods a lesson."

Several people agreed with that statement.

"...Very well."

(M/N) nodded.

"When the time comes, you guys may come."

He said...before asking.

"Why are you even asking just me?" He asked. "Shouldn't this be a group decision? Or shouldn't you be asking the Master you're contracted with? Why me?"

"We unanimously made you the leader."

Gudao, Gudako, and Chaldea all deadpanned.

"...I hate you."

(M/N) deadpanned.

"In the meantime." Goredolf decided to speak up again. "While we are waiting for Ragnarök to begin (and man does that feel weird to say. Wanting an apocalypse to happen), your main objective, besides training your female self, should be to gather intel and learn as much as you can about this world. Try to understand how things work here."

"Try to locate any possible holy grails here."

"Would that even be possible?"

Jeanne d'Arc asked.

"If the Gods from all religions are there, then would we be able to even home in on the holy grail that we're looking for?"

"We have to try."

Murasaki Shikibu said.

"We don't got anything to lose!"

Sei Shounagon yelled out.

"We do need to kill some time."

Proto Merlin added.

"Let's go..."

(M/N) nodded.

"We have our mission and objectives."

He said.

"We only have two months before things come to a head."

"So...let's get moving!"

"YEAH!!"

The group shouted out in agreement.

In two months...Ragnarök shall begin.

It has been one month since Chaldea had landed on this strange, alternate version of Earth.

One month of gathering as much intel as they could without giving anything away. They have learned that while the Gods exists, so too did the stories that existed back in their world. Despite the inaccuracies the stories had here, they continued to paint a tell of the Gods.

Regardless if they were true or not. People loved to tell stories and love to idolize their gods. Which was understandable considering their connection in this world.

Another key interest was the subject of Demigods.

Half-human, half-god.

Despite the legends, things were extremely different here. For example, as far as anyone is aware of or even cares, there has been no actually Demigod being born. Oh, sure the Gods would sometimes sleep around, but never in recorded history has there been an actual demigod being born.

Most demigods in this world were originally human before ascending to Godhood. Though for some it's not always the case like with Buddha: The Enlightened One. The man who founded Buddhism.

He was formerly a human but became a fully fledged God.

It was rather complicated.

It was surprising to be sure when they learned that the Heracles of this world was completely human! Only by drinking Ambrosia, aka Zeus blood...which creep out the group when they learned that, did he not only become a demigod, but also Zeus son like the stories had said he was.

'This whole world is weird.'

Was all (M/N) thought to himself.

It had been a rather tiring month, learning about the history of the world. Learning of that the Gods resided in Heaven (also known as Valhalla). And just how much influence they had in creating the world.

It was interesting to say the least.

'But we still haven't seen even a single god in the one month we've been here.'

(M/N) mentally groaned.

'Patience.'

Chaos spoke.

'Eventually, our paths will cross with theirs.'

She said.

"When will that be?" (M/N) sarcastically asked himself. "In the next 5 seconds?"

'Chill, bro."

Mata Nui shook his head.

'No use in driving yourself crazy over the what-ifs and possibilities.'

"...True."

He admitted.

*CLANG!*

The sound of metal hitting metal grabbed his attention as he turned to the two fighting.

(F/N) was clashing with her lightsaber against a powerful combat teacher.

(Raiden Ei)

Raiden Ei. The Electro Archon. The Archon of Eternity. A god that originated from a Teyvat, that (M/N) had once landed on. Who was here because (M/N) asked her to be.

Who was also (F/N) primary instructor in the arts of combat. Which was why she was here.

"Not bad."

Ei admitted as she held Engulfing Lightning in her hands.

"You certainly are (M/N) other self."

She said as her hold on naginata tightened.

"Now let's see if you can handle this!"

With lightning speed, the Almighty Shogun disappeared and reappeared behind her.

*CLING!!* *CLASH*

(F/N) quickly blocking the attack as the two danced a furious a battle.

'She really is impressive.'

Ignika admitted.

'Well of course.' (M/N) rolled his eyes. 'She is me.'

'Getting a bit cocky there, chico.'

Lobo mockingly warned.

'Zip it, you overgrown wet dream of the furries and the kinky.'

(M/N) mentally deadpan as Death just laughed.

Thanks to creating an alternate dimension, where time worked differently. They had quickened (F/N) training.

...Which as it turns out, didn't really need much. Despite her combat prowess being lowered due to the separation. She had quickly learned fast, in part due to her and (M/N) being one and the same. And in another part, due to how time moved quickly in that realm. It wasn't just a month that she spend there, it was years, centuries, eons even.

In that time, they had learned much. She even found out that her lightsaber had multicolor function, meaning that the lightsaber could change colors and not just be pink.

From red, to blue, to purple, to black, to gold, hell! It even showed a rainbow colored lightsaber!

Weird considering the requirements for some of the lightsaber Kyber crystals.

(F/N) chose not to use the Rainbow function due to the fact that it almost blinded everyone from how bright it was.

And for some reason, the lightsaber could become a dual saber as well. Like with a certain Darth Maul.

Meh. Better than those other lightsabers like Kylo Ren. Seriously...why did it needed to be a cross like lightsaber anyways?

Of course, she also used other weapons to complement her fighting style.

It helps to have a backup style if your main one is broken through.

*FLASH*

(F/N) summoned a new weapon now.

(Skyward Spine)

A weapon that Ei 'persuaded' Venti to give her so that she could give it to (F/N).

Poor Barbatos.

Now, one might ask why he didn't bring Morax as well.

Well...

...He still carried a grudge over Fat Lapis body slamming him with a dead fatass Exuvia carcass.

Yes, (M/N) is capable of holding a grudge. And can make your life miserable if you manage to piss him off.

(M/N) would sooner jump into a supernova than asked Morax for help.

Of course, (M/N) did steal the sexy mama bird milf known as Cloud Retainer as revenge.

Or Xianyun as she had gotten used to being called.

"One senses that you are currently thinking about Rex Lapis again."

Speak of the devil.

(M/N) turned to face his bird wife.

(Cloud Retainer aka Xianyun)

"How did you know?"

(M/N) asked.

Xianyun giggled.

"Your aura is darkening and turning bloodthirsty, dear."

Xianyun smiled.

"...Whoops."

(M/N) just shrugged.

"..."

Xianyun just shook her head in amusement.

"One must admit." She started. "Your female self is quite impressive."

"Well, no shit Sherlock."

"Yes?"

Said man looked to them in amusement.

"But question."

(M/N) asked.

"Hmm?"

Xianyun gave him a questioning glance.

"...Was it really necessary to give her that kind of outfit?"

He said as he pointed to (F/N)

"She looks good in it, wouldn't you say?"

Xianyun smiled.

"Woman! Are you crazy?"

(M/N) said.

"Why would you make her a skin fitting outfit that shows off her body to the whole world?!"

"If you got it, flaunt it."

Xianyun simply said.

"But why...oh, right."

(M/N) suddenly realized.

"I forgot the skintight outfits you made for Ganyu and Shenhe."

Of course, she would do the same to his female self.

Why did he think she would do it any different now?

Xianyun simply smiles.

"Well look on the bright side."

Xianyun added.

"At least One did not do the same to yours and your siblings' outfits.

"..."

She got him there. Theirs were at least stylish and combat ready.

"*BAM!*

"Let us call it a day."

Ei spoke up.

"You have improved well." She said. "I'm impressed."

"Hah...perks of...being...part of someone else...ha..."

(F/N) panted as she spoke. Exhausted from the intense workout.

(M/N) was glad that everyone else was doing their own things and that no native would accidentally stumbled into this area.

The sweat on (F/N) body made her skin glisten and tantalizing which was only further added by her outfit.

...Yeah. Cloud Retainer did that on purpose.

Now, one might think (M/N) was checking her out. They'd be wrong. That was him for crying out loud! No matter how weird it was the way they split into two halves, yet also whole at the same time.

But if anyone else saw, they'd be red in the face.

...Or be perverted, one of the two.

...Which made (M/N) glad this hadn't happened back in Union otherwise that world would have been destroyed.

"Since we are done for today, you should go freshen up and take a walk."

Ei suggested.

"And you?"

(F/N) asked.

"I'll be meditating as I analyze the complexities of this world."

Ei simply said.

"I too shall also freshen up since I would rather not be smelling my own sweat."

"Sounds good to me."

(M/N) said as he and Xianyun walked over to them.

"It's good to kick back and unwind for a while."

Nodding, everyone went their separate ways.

-Timeskip of (F/N) taking a shower and cleaning herself up-

'So much has changed in the span of one month.'

(F/N) thought to herself as she walked down the streets. Taking in the sights.

'I somehow came into being and am now my own person.' She continued walking. 'Learned much of the world. And now helping my...other self and our siblings.'

It was weird to call her male self, brother since they were technically the same person just somehow split.

She decided not to think much of it. Instead...

'I should probably get some supplies.'

The girl thought to herself.

'It doesn't hurt to have an emergency stock just in case.'

She thought to herself, tugging the cloak that covered her body.

She, like (M/N), was not all too comfortable walking in an outfit that was literally hugging her body and showing off her curves and chest.

She didn't like to draw that much attention!

Shaking her head she headed to a store.

*RING*

"Thank you and have a nice day!"

The cashier said as (F/N) walked out with bags full of supplies.

"Alright!" She said. "This should be enough for now."

Smiling, she started to head out of town.

*BUMP!!*

Only to accidentally run into what felt like a brick wall.

Stumbling, she accidentally dropped her bags as she fell backwards.

"WOAH!"

A male voice shouted as suddenly, (F/N) felt a pair of hands saving her from hitting the ground.

"You okay there, miss?"

The man said as (F/N) opened her eyes (she had closed them when she was falling backwards) into her savior.

Her eyes widened as she stared at the inhuman male...who possessed four arms!

(Shiva)

"I've heard of people falling head over heels." The God chuckled. "But never seen it in person!"

Oh, snap.

Out of all the people she could have run into, she had to actually run into a God by herself!

Though which one, she wasn't sure. She doesn't recall meeting a god with four arms, purple skin, and five eyes (though 3 were closed, but she could sense he had five eyes) and a muscular build.

...While also shirtless for some reason.

"Am I that dashing?"

The god chuckled as (F/N) felt a blush rising as the god voice and insinuation.

"Geez, Shiva."

Another male voice caught her attention as she turned to see.

(Buddha)

"Barely know her and you're already flirting and trying for a fourth wife already?"

A muscular male wearing a tank top, glasses on him, robes tied to his waist. Tied back light green hair, elongated earlobes, snacking on a lollipop while holding her bags.

She didn't know this one either, but despite his human appearance, he had the aura of a God!

And...WAIT.

'Did he just called him!?'

"Aw, come off it Buddha!"

Shiva whined.

"Not my fault she pretty!"

(F/N) had to restrain the urge to blush even further at that.

'...Wait...'

Did Shiva just called that man, BUDDHA!?

The founder of Buddhism! One of the most well known individuals in history and the world!?

THAT BUDDHA!?

"Apologies for my friend carelessness."

Buddha said.

"He just can't help himself."

"OI!"

Shiva yelled at him.

"It wasn't my fault she ran into me!"

"But you took advantage, didn't you?"

Buddha chuckled as the two began arguing.

The humans leaving a wide berth from them.

...And (F/N) still in Shiva arms.

Seems like (F/N) made first contact with the Gods and man was this unexpected!

Seems like (F/N) found a couple of Gods all by herself.
